Emmett has always been an over-thinker. He is not a very confident man, Emmett is also an indecisive person. Here he is planning for the wedding he thought he would never have.

Emmett didn't have the greatest childhood growing up, his dad left him and his mom when he was only 4 years old. Emmett has also seen all the rude, selfish boyfriends his mom has dated throughout the years. He loves his mom, but her choice in men are below average. This is why, Emmett swore he would never fall in love.

That's until Elle Woods walked into his life like a pink tornado.

Falling in love with her came more quickly than he thought, only over a course of 9 months. But, he wouldn't change it for the world. Just hearing her say she loves him too is enough to make his heart explode.

Of course this kind of love came through hours and hours of studying, and months and months of friendship. He didn't know when he fell in love with Elle, he just knew she was different.

He has never believed in faith, never read or watched cheesy rom-coms. To him though, it was like they were meant to meet..

Him and her were meant to be, as cheesy as it sounds.

Emmett's thoughts led him to the present. He was currently sitting on the couch next to Elle, going through many wedding venues.

"What about this?" Elle said pointing at a butterfly garden.

"Doesn't seem like us." Emmett said. It didn't seem like they could agree on anything.

Hours passed, "Em, it's a beautiful park!" Elle argued.

Emmett stared at her, "It's a little too public, Elle! I don't know what to tell you."

Elle covered her face with her hands, sighing. "Why is this so hard. We can't agree on anything."

It was true, they have been looking at what felt like a thousand venues. Nothing screamed, them.

Emmett put his arms around Elle, "It's ok, we will figure something out. Relax."

Elle looked up at him and smiled, "You're right, you're always right." She pulled him closer.

Picking the venue wasn't the hardest part for Emmett though, it was the guest list. See, Emmett didn't know a lot of people like Elle. She was naming off a bunch of people to invite when he only had three, his mom, Chris from his Harvard class, and his neighbor, Mr. Louis. Ok, maybe not his neighbor.

To him it seemed like Elle wanted to invite all of Malibu and Boston. He quickly shut down that idea.

But, it then got worst.

A few weeks later they were trying to figure out the date and location.

So, they haven't found a venue yet, but they needed to know where and when they were doing it. Surprisingly, they both agreed on Boston.

They couldn't choose anywhere else because that's where they fell in love.

'That's the first thing we have agreed on this whole time.' Emmett thought.

But, now it was time to choose, when.

Elle said they should do it during spring because the weather is nice. But, Emmett thought it was more likely to rain so they should do it in fall.

This caused another disagreement between them. But they then decided on fall. October of next year. It was currently November, so that gave them about year to plan.

At this rate, Emmett didn't know if they will finish planning in time, or ever.

Ok, so maybe they didn't fight that much about it, and maybe they did find a venue eventually, Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor.

At first, Emmett didn't like the place, Elle loved it..

"Emmett! It is in front of the Boston Harbor, and there are a bunch of trees around." Elle told him, excitedly.

"Why would we want to get married in front of the Boston Harbor?" Emmett asked, confused.

"Well I think it's very pretty, and a great view. When we say our vows, it will be right behind us."

That did seem nice to Emmett. The autumn leaves would fall down, Elle glowing in the sunlight, and the view of the ocean behind them.

"Ok, let's do it."

Finally, they had the date, the venue, and most of the guest list. Next step was decorations.

Elle wanted to go with an autumn theme, mixed with pink and navy blue. He didn't know how they were going to make that work, but he trusted Elle.

Next, roles.

Elle's maid of honor was Paulette. Her bridesmaid are Vivian, Serena, Margot, and Pilar.

For Emmett it was hard picking people. He had limited amount of people that he knew. In the end, he decided his best man would be Kyle, Paulette's husband, and Chris.

Elle understood that their parties wouldn't be the same amount and understood Emmett knew less people.

The thing Emmett was most excited about was the cake.

So here he was at a wedding cake venue sampling cakes with Elle. This was the most fun he's had during this whole wedding planning experience. It was because, well he got to eat.

They tried many selection of cakes. But in the end their favorite was this strawberry vanilla cake. It was light and fluffy. A nice way to end after a big meal.

Speaking of meal. They decided on going with Mexican food. Not the most fanciest kind of food. It was definitely comfort food.

That wasn't the reason why they chose it though.

Back to the many and long nights of studying, Elle and Emmett use to get takeout from this Mexican place called Alberto's. They loved it so much that they picked it for their wedding food.

It reminded them of long nights of studying and the bliss of falling in love.

Every Month, it was wedding planning after wedding planning. Emmett didn't even know what they had left. It was finally August, two months before their wedding.

Everything was ready. The decorations and cake. Guest and roles.

Last but not least was Elle's dress and Emmett's suit. While including the bridesmaid, best men, and maid of honor outfits.

One night as Emmett was drifting to sleep, he heard her say something. "Em, I was thinking since our theme is mostly pink and blue. Our outfits should match the theme."

Too tired to think, Emmett replied "Sounds good, Elle."

So that's what they did. Elle and the girls got pink dresses. While Emmett and the boys got black suits with blue ties.

Now their wedding was only weeks away. Yes, they had their ups and downs. But, in the end he already knew it was going to be perfect. Emmett couldn't wait to marry the love of his life.

To be continued…
