Disclaimer: The first chapter that has a direct focus on Charm and Claw moving on from their distaste of each other and Claw accepting that Charm is trying to change. I hope Claw doesn't come off the wrong way here. But I guess I'll see once the chapter is up.

Land and Sea arc Episode seven: To Trust, Or Not To Trust
Sid and Arrby's ship was shown to be taking off towards Twin Flame Island with Charm, Claw, and Moby standing at the front as they got closer. Charm seemed annoyed by Claw's insistence to tag along, but he decided to ignore that for now. He focused entirely on the mission, being fully determined to get what he needed to get rid of his Demon Blood. "I called ahead of time and let Wave and Margareth know we were coming. We can make the potion at their house when we're done."
Once the boat stopped at the dock, Arrby let the three pups know what he and Sid would be doing as they stepped off the boat. "We'll be waiting right here for when you get back."
"Got it. Thanks you two." Claw responded, heading off with Charm and Moby while keeping a close eye on the former.
Moby felt it'd be best to give Claw some more insight on what they were planning. "Wave and Margareth also offered to let us eat there if we're in the forest until dinner time. Having some of the Munroe family cooking would be a good way to celebrate Charm getting rid of his Demon Blood."
"If this 'potion' even does what Charm says it will." Claw responded while focusing his sights entirely on Charm, who was observing the list of ingredients carefully. Having no idea that Coral was the one who gave Charm the list, he didn't trust him one bit. "That potion could lead to anything. Even something deadly."
Moby seemed confused by Claw's anger and hoped he wouldn't mind him asking about his presence. "Why did you come with us again?"
Claw clenched his fists, startling Moby as he tried to contain himself with this answer. However, his response gave Moby the idea of something other than anger. "Because I can't allow Charm to hurt those I love."
"That's part of why I brought Moby along you idiot." Charm informed Claw bluntly as the three pups were nearing the Twin Flame Island forest. "And if you're going to complain about me, then at least have the balls to say it to my face."
Claw happily obliged to Charm's request. "Okay. I think you're still a danger to me and my friends, and the fact that you live with us puts every one of our lives at risk."
"Lovely." Charm responded sarcastically, despite deep down wishing that Claw believed him about his desire to get rid of his Demon Blood. "Anyway, the first thing we have to find is three Island Life Roots. That should be the easiest ingredient to find of the three." Moby could really start feeling the tension between Charm and Claw. It was clear that this wasn't going to be an easy trip.
F.M. was at the park with Marshall, Snow, Chase, Skye, and Coral, and Coral was re-experiencing what a park was like. Chase and Marshall were trying out tether ball, and Chase was naturally winning. Snow was watching as Marshall face planted after hitting the ball himself. Coral was watching Skye front flip while playing on the monkey bards before getting a call. "Sorry Skye. I have to take this."
"I'll be right here." Skye assured Coral, allowing her to head off and take her phone call in peace.
Coral answered her phone as she told Eveline about the time she was having. "Hello Queen Eveline. Thanks again for letting me come to Adventure Bay. Getting to see a park again was amazing!" F.M. was taking a turn on the slide, and after she went down while laughing, she heard Coral talking to Eveline when walking past the slide ladder. "Yes Queen Eveline, he has it."
F.M. became concerned after hearing Eveline's name. She looked over the slide and saw a conflicted Coral walking by. Out of concern for her, she listened in by eavesdropping, making sure not to be seen. What Coral tried to say revealed something shocking to F.M.. "Eveline, I appreciate what you've done for me, but I can't keep using Skye to-" F.M. was shocked at that revelation with Coral stopping as she got another demand from Eveline. This made her scared, and F.M. could feel the hurt in her voice. "I'm sorry Queen Eveline. I spoke out of line."
F.M. hated that Coral was using Skye, even if she didn't know why. But she also hated what she saw from Coral talking to Eveline. She started recording after pulling her Pup-Phone out just in case. Coral quickly ended the conversation with reassurance to Eveline that she wouldn't fail. "I understand. I'll let you know how it goes." F.M. stopped recording as soon as she said that, since she knew the phone call was over. It wasn't much, but at least she had something.
Coral hung up and sighed out of remorse and tire, being startled when F.M. spoke to her from behind. "You're using Skye?"
Coral flinched and turned around, knowing she couldn't deny it after trying to think of an excuse. She groaned as she revealed this to her. "Yes, I'm using Skye. But I don't want to."
"I believe you. It sounds like Eveline has you on a thread." F.M. assured Coral, knowing she wasn't the malicious type by any means. She couldn't let her keep using Skye, but her empathetic side was too strong for her to not want to help Coral too. She walked up to Coral and attempted to give her comfort, knowing that shunning her wouldn't help her if Eveline was hurting her. "Are you okay Coral?"
Coral couldn't bring herself to tell F.M. about Eveline mistreating her. It didn't help that she couldn't even understand how wrong it was. "I'm fine F.M.. But, thank you. And don't worry. Skye won't have her life threatened with this plan." Coral walked away before F.M. could question her further. When she did, F.M. found herself conflicted on what to do. She wanted to warn Skye, but she knew she couldn't do it with Coral around. And she also wanted to help Coral, as she got the feeling Eveline was using her too.
Charm, Claw, and Moby were exploring the Twin Flame Island forest as Charm looked for the first thing he needed. After spotting a few in three separate areas, they ran over to them to pick them out. This helped Charm quite a bit, and he grabbed onto the first one he saw. After Moby grabbed onto another one, he asked why only three roots were needed. "So we really only need three? It must be a small potion."
"That would make sense. It's a potion only made for one being." Charm pointed out, confirming that Coral gave a size amount on the list.
Claw pulled out the last root, and Charm walked over to him to receive it. Before Claw gave it to him however, he had one more question in mind. "Before I give you this... how do I know this is actually a potion to get rid of your Demon Blood?" Charm was starting to get annoyed, and Moby could see this as Claw questioned him further. It was clear by his body language that he wasn't being hostile, but rather, something on his mind made him scared, and he tried hiding it with his temper. "How do I know this isn't something to help you kill us more easily?"
Charm scoffed, starting his answer as he grabbed Claw's arm and pulled his paw over for the root. "I suppose now is a good time to tell you." Charm snatched the root from Claw as he finished his answer. "Coral gave it to me herself."
Claw was surprised by that response as Charm walked off with Moby right next to him. He started walking beside Charm as well as he questioned it. "You expect me to believe Coral wants to help you?"
"Trust or not, I wouldn't lie about something like that just to set you off." Charm informed Claw, glaring at him as he assured him of one more thing. "I have no interest in sabotaging your love life."
"So then you're not just using her as a scapegoat to hide your true intentions?" Claw asked, making Charm more annoyed by his prying.
"If I was, you'd see the bracelet go off, wouldn't you?" Charm asked Claw as he showed him the bracelet. After seeing that, Claw had no additional retorts and crossed his arms, sighing in defeat.
Claw instead made extra sure that Charm was serious about this. "So then, none of our friends will end up hurt by this? They'll all be safe?"
"They have been since I moved in, and I plan to keep it that way." Charm assured Claw, struggling to contain himself with all of his prying.
Moby didn't want things to get too heated, so he made a suggestion as he looked at the list. "I think we should split up to find the Habitat Sap."
"Works for me." Claw responded, heading off to the right to find the sap himself. "I'll see if I can find a sap filled tree this way."
Charm expressed confusion over this as he walked off with Moby to find a sappy tree himself. "If he distrusts me this much then why is he bothering to actually help me with the potion?"
"Well you showed him how your bracelet wasn't reacting to anything. Maybe that convinced him you were serious about this." Moby suggested, and Charm started to think about that as Moby made him an offer. "Maybe I can learn more? I might have a better chance at convincing him to open up."
"If you think you can." Charm replied, putting a paw on Moby's shoulder as he expressed gratitude. "Thanks Moby."
"You're welcome. I'll let you know what I find out." Moby assured Charm, running off in Claw's direction to try and get news out of him about his behavior around Charm. 'Claw wouldn't be helping us if a part of him didn't think Charm could better himself. There has to be more to this than anger.'
Back at the park, F.M. was distracted by Skye and Coral while at the merry go round, which Snow noticed as she being pushed on it by her. She also noticed that F.M. was currently focused on Skye and Coral after looking to where she was looking. She put a paw on F.M.'s shoulder to signal her to stop when she reached her. F.M. looked back at her when she did. "Did something happen during the tour F.M.?"
"Well... not exactly." F.M. answered, knowing that Snow saw where she was looking before. She looked around to make sure no one else was listening, having been told not to get too many people involved in something at once by Chase. "I overheard Coral talking to Eveline earlier. She said something about not wanting to use Skye anymore."
Snow, being stunned by what she just heard, tried to contain herself over the fact that her best friend was being used. "That must be why she ignored Skye's calls."
"It's possible." F.M. said, knowing that it couldn't be ruled out with this new information. "I think Eveline is using Coral too. She seemed really distant when I asked her if she was alright." F.M. then admitted to something that to Snow, was obvious coming from her. "I know what she's doing is wrong, but if Eveline really is hurting her, then I wanna help her too."
"I do too F.M.. Especially if we're right about who Eveline really is." Snow revealed while checking one more time to make sure Skye and Coral weren't listening. Coral peaked a glance at them, making it clear to Snow that they couldn't finish this here. "We should finish talking about this back at the Lookout. I'll let Chase know about this so we can have our team detective on the case. That, and he should know too since he's dating Skye."
F.M. was fully on board with that, knowing that Chase was the perfect pup to have involved in this. "And when we tell Skye, it has to be when Coral isn't around. I'll make sure she doesn't learn about our meeting, and you check in with Chase."
"On it." Snow assured F.M., and then as F.M. ran off, she started running too, only to end up running in place due to still being on the Merry Go Round. "Huh?" She was quick to realize what she was actually doing. "Oh. Right." When she stopped, she ended up being sent flying, which led to her skidding over to Chase and Marshall.
The two checked to see if she was okay with Marshall asking as Snow stood up and dusted herself off. "Are you okay Snow?"
"I'm fine." Snow assured Marshall, and then she got right on with her goal. "Chase, we have to talk later. It's about Skye."
Snow's concerned look instantly made Chase worried, and he made it clear he wasn't about to let this slip past him. "Name the time, and the place, and I'll be there."
Claw and Moby were looking for the Habitat Sap with Moby making sure the two of them were really alone. He knew Claw wouldn't want to talk about this in front of Charm. Their behavior around each other alone made that obvious. Once he knew it was just the two of them, he got Claw's attention after he inspected another tree for sap. "Hey Claw?" Claw looked at Moby, who struggled at first, but managed to ask the question. "Why... why do you hate Charm so much?"
Claw looked away when he started his answer, clearly not wanting to revisit certain memories. "Hate is a bit of a strong word now. I mean, I can't stand him, but I wouldn't say I hate him anymore." Claw walked onward with Moby listening as he answered his question directly. "I used to live in Barkingburg. He ruined my life there, and then used me for his evil deeds."
Having already learned of Charm's past life from Charm himself, Moby wasn't surprised by stuff like this. "Yeah. He told me he wasn't really the best pup before."
"He was the worst!" Claw exclaimed as he turned to Moby, revealing more of his past with Charm. "He even used Sweetie and Caiohme as bait to keep me from leaving his army. He could've easily taken the lives of the two who mean the most to me!"
Moby could see the pain in Claw's voice all too clearly. He found it hard to blame him for his current feelings. "That sounds awful. I'm so sorry you had to go through that."
Claw breathed in with his nose and out from his mouth, doing his best to calm down so he didn't start yelling. "I wish I could say it was all in the past. But every time I look at Charm, I'm reminded of what he did to me. And how he tried to kill all of us." Claw walked over to another tree, attempting to end the conversation there. "I'm sure you've noticed that I struggle with my temper enough as is. I don't need bad memories amplifying that."
"There's nothing wrong with that." Moby assured Claw, walking up to him as he went over to the tree to bring up another point when he inspected a hole at the bottom. "But you're still helping him. You could've stood on the sidelines and kept an eye on him."
"I guess. But that would just make me bored." Claw said, looking to Moby after the Portuguese Water Dog knelt. "What's your point?"
Moby wasn't sure how Claw would take this, inspecting another hole in the tree himself as he started. "Do you think that maybe, the reason you haven't forgiven Charm yet is because you're..." After doing so and finding nothing, he looked at Claw and finished his question. "scared?"
Claw was stunned by that question, having never even considered that as a possibility. But it did make sense to him. Part of his emotional state when near Charm was the thought of him hurting him again, or even those he cares about. Obviously he was still angry about what happened before, but maybe, just maybe, his fear of what could happen is playing just as big of a part in that. "It could be both."
Moby saw that he was getting somewhere and made a suggestion he felt could help Charm and Claw. "I'm still new to this friendship thing, but helping him might bring the two of you closer." Claw looked away, and Moby was quick to assure him that Charm's desires were genuine. "He really does want to make things right Claw."
"I hope I can believe you." Claw admitted, and his body language made it clear that Moby's question about him being scared was right. A combination of fear and anger that Claw had no idea how to deal with. Still. If he was going to forgive Charm, then he had to put in an effort to move forward. "Let's go find some of that Habitat Sap."
Moby smiled, seeing that Claw was now helping to put in the effort to forgive Charm. "Okay!" And with that, Claw and Moby went to find their next tree to look for sap in.
Back at the Lookout, F.M. and Snow had just informed Chase about what the former found out about Coral, and he wasn't taking it well. He had to listen to the recording F.M. got one last time just to be sure. "I understand. I'll let you know how it goes."
After listening to the recording one last time, Chase checked in with F.M. one last time. "And you're sure this is her doing a job for Eveline?"
"I'm positive. She said her name and everything." F.M. assured Chase, knowing what she heard from Coral.
Chase handed F.M. her phone back as Snow suggested something to help them let Skye know. This would also give her time to talk to Coral about her own situation. "I'll guide Coral to the beach myself when she has to leave. I think she said somewhere around dinner time. F.M., that should give you plenty of time to let Skye know about the situation."
"Sounds like a plan to me. I just wish I could make Coral dinner too." F.M. responded, and then she addressed Chase to let him know they'd keep him in the loop. "We'll let you know if there's anything you can do to help Chase. We thought we should still let you know now because as Skye's boyfriend, you should be allowed to protect her."
Chase kept that in mind as he went for the bedroom door, hoping he could think of a way to help Skye. "Thanks for letting me know you two." Chase then gave a request for the plan before he opened the door to the room, not wanting to let Skye down by neglecting to help her. "Actually... do you think I could be the one to tell her?"
F.M. didn't want to disappoint Chase, but she wasn't sure about that decision. "The recording is on my phone Chase. She'll have to hear it from me."
"Not necessarily." Chase protested, feeling that the phone was all the proof F.M. needed to give him. "As the police dog of the Paw Patrol, I'm expected to share all the evidence I can find on something, whether it's a fresh case or not. And if I give her the recording, then she'll get the proof, know that we're all looking out for her, and all three of us will be helping her at the same time."
"That makes sense." Snow admitted, walking over to F.M. and Chase as she brought up another point. "And us giving Chase the proof could make it easier for her to believe."
F.M. could get behind that, and she handed Chase her phone to entrust him with the proof. "That works for me. Thanks for the help Chase."
"Hey. It's what I do." Chase reminded F.M. and Snow cheerfully, leaving the room to go and give Skye the proof when she could. He couldn't help looking worried after he did however. He didn't want to let Skye down in any way. F.M. also noticed that Snow was worried, so she held her paws to help her feel better. This made Snow smile, as she saw that F.M. was confident that this plan would work out.
After Claw and Moby's talk, the two of them reunited with Charm, and they all found a decent amount of Habitat Sap. Charm was quite satisfied with the haul, but he was also surprised to find that Claw managed to put as much into his container as Moby. He definitely appreciated the effort, but he had to know what made Claw try so hard. "Impressive Claw! I figured you'd only bring back a quarter of what Moby did!"
"I just started wanting my contribution to be worthwhile." Claw explained, showing that he was putting more of an effort to forgive Charm. "Anyway, we should find that last item quick before dinnertime comes around." Charm, Claw, and Moby moved onward with Charm offering Moby a hi five to thank him. He happily accepted, glad that his efforts were paying off.
Charm, Claw, and Moby arrived at Miranda's cave with Charm explaining what the last ingredient was. "According to Coral's list, the Twin Flame Island scorpions I need the fire poison from can only be found here."
Moby noticed a scorpion nearby and grabbed Charm's free arm when it looked at him. He clearly wasn't a fan. "Well I hope you don't expect ME to touch them."
"No need." Charm, Claw, and Moby looked to find Miranda walking over to them with her hood over her head. After she revealed herself, Moby's life started to flash before his eyes. "Just hold your paw out, and it will give you what you need."
Moby was shocked by the sight of Miranda, since she was an English Springer Spaniel. Miranda gazed at Moby for a bit before she saw Charm pick up the scorpion. "Expect hell to pay if you're bluffing." Charm held out his flask and allowed the Twin Flame Island scorpion to put two drops of fire poison into it. Charm was ecstatic, sealing the flask and putting it in the container his Island Life Root and Habitat Sap were in. "Thanks old lady. This potion is gonna save my life!"
"The pleasure's all mine." Miranda assured Charm, who left with Claw and Moby after they got everything they needed. Moby also shook off his shell-shock from the sight of Miranda, deciding to tell Charm about it later.
Charm was quite satisfied with the haul, unable to resist how easy it was. "Well. That went better than expected."
After leaving the cave, Claw took the chance to update Charm on his current thoughts. "Hey Charm?" Charm looked at Claw, who said his piece then and there. "I'll admit that I was distrusting at first. I think I understand more on why that was now." Moby smiled when hearing this, even after what Claw said next. "I still Don't forgive you. Or fully trust you. And I still haven't come to terms with you wanting to change." Charm wasn't sure what to say until Claw looked at him for the last part. "But after a talk I had with Moby... I think a part of me wants to try."
Charm smiled in response, seemingly growing a bit closer to Claw after today, just like Claw was for him. Now, they both found it safe to say they were neutral with each other. "Thank you Claw. And despite how it started, I appreciate your help." Even though the two of them couldn't call each other friends, the fact that they could smile briefly around each other was a step in the right direction. And it meant that Claw was one step closer to accepting the fact that Charm was becoming a better pup.
Meanwhile, Skye was in hers and Chase's room on her phone while laying down comfortably on her bed. She was currently waiting for Coral to call her so they could schedule another hang out day. While waiting, she heard Chase come in with the intent to warn her about Coral's intentions. "Skye. We need to talk."
Skye saw the urgent look on Chase's face and sat upright to give her full attention. "Is something wrong Chase?"
Chase walked up to Skye and sat down next to her when giving his answer. "Yeah. And you're not gonna like it." Skye listened closely as Chase pulled out F.M.'s phone, confusing her at first before Chase stated what was on it. "F.M. overheard Coral taking a phone call with Eveline at the park. She managed to get the last line of it here."
Chase started the recording, allowing Coral to hear the last line of what Coral said. "I understand. I'll let you know how it goes."
Skye was conflicted on how to react. She didn't want to assume anything bad about Coral. "I saw her get that call." Chase put a paw on Skye's shoulder to help her process this news. However, her response came out differently than what he expected. It almost sounded like denial. "That can't be anything bad. Maybe Coral was talking about a surprise for us."
"I'd love to believe that Skye, but F.M. heard more before she started recording." Chase replied, letting Skye know more about what F.M. and Snow told her. "She said something about using you." Skye's face made it clear she was struggling to take this news well. "I think Eveline is using Coral, to use you, to hurt us."
Skye moved Chase's paw and held it tightly. What she said next was clear denial of what Chase was telling her. "No. It's not true."
Chase knew this was hard on Skye, and didn't want her to feel alone. "I know this is hard for you Skye. But if Coral really is using you, then-"
"It's not true Chase!" Skye snapped, surprising Chase with her sudden emotional outburst. She clearly didn't want to believe Coral would ever do anything to hurt her. "Coral and I have been separated for years! Why would she use me when we finally started seeing each other again!? When she has a chance to see her family again!"
"I don't know Skye!" Chase exclaimed, trying to keep his cool the best he could. He wasn't even mad at Skye; he just felt he was failing her when she didn't believe him. "Like I said, I think Coral's being used too. But even if she is, she's hurting you."
Skye looked away from Chase, making it very apparent she didn't believe him. "I don't believe it Chase." Skye hopped off the best and pulled out a drawer, taking a pink bandana that Chase recognized all too well. She went out of the room as she let Chase know how she felt about this. "I'll let you know when she comes again. Don't even think about interrogating her."
Skye left the room and slammed the door behind her, leaving Chase devastated by what just happened. Skye not believing him felt like letting her down in his eyes. He couldn't understand why she refused to believe her warning. What could he have done wrong? He sadly couldn't talk to his therapist until next week, as he had his session earlier that day. He wanted to go after Skye, but he was worried he'd make her more upset if he kept this thought in her mind. All he could do was lie down on his bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering what he did wrong.
Charm, Claw, and Moby were now at Wave's house with Claw and Moby watching Wave help Charm craft the potion. "Now just drop the fire poison into the cup, and your potion should be finished."
Charm did so, and when he did, the potion turned crimson red. Charm had his own interpretation on what that meant. "Crimson red. That must mean the potion will turn my blood from black to red!"
Wave rubbed Charm's head affectionately as Moby then brought one more thing to his attention. "Um... Charm? Before you take that potion." Charm looked at Moby, who expressed his concern from seeing Miranda in the cave. "I noticed that Miranda looked really similar to Eveline." The mention of that brought immense concern to Wave due to her history with Miranda. Charm let Moby finish in case he had more details to spare. "I think the two of them could be connected."
Charm didn't rule out that possibility, but was too focused on his potion to think too hard on it. "Maybe. But there have to be lots of English Springer Spaniels in the world. It could just be a coincidence." Moby saw Charm's point as the Golden Retriever took one more look at the potion. "Here goes nothing."
Charm picked up the cup with Claw asking about one particular detail. "Wait. Wouldn't the fire poison be deadly?"
"That has to be why we collected those Island Life Roots." Charm reminded Claw, chugging down most of the potion in one gulp, and setting the cup down when he was done.
Moby got worried, since it seemed Charm was ignoring one part of the list. "That was a lot of potion Charm. The list only said to drink half of it."
Charm shrugged in response, showing that he didn't care about consequences so long as the potion worked. Wave found herself curious to try it herself, picking up the remaining ten percent of the potion with an idea in mind. "You think it'll be safe for me to drink?"
"Should be. It tastes more like maple syrup than poison." Charm answered, allowing Wave to try the rest of the potion. She took a liking to it as well, finding that Charm was right about the taste. Just then, his stomach started rumbling, which made him ecstatic. "The potion must be working! I can feel it!" Claw, Moby, and Wave waited in anticipation as Charm's stomach continued growling. The more it growled, the more it growled, the more excited he got. "Wow! This puppy works fast!" Just then, Charm's butt was shown as the Golden Retriever ended up releasing...
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT
...a loud and bassy thirty second fart that made Charm's butt vibrate violently, and he also unleashed a big yellow cloud of rotten eggs that surrounded the entire living room and kitchen. Wave and Moby found their eyes watering from the expulsion, and Claw was unfazed, simply wafting it away as Moby coughed and gagged, and Wave wafted it away while coughing herself. Charm found himself confused, looking back at his butt briefly before looking onward. "That's it? A fart?"
Wave turned a fan on as she made a suggestion regarding how the potion worked. "Maybe that's a sign that the potion is working on you."
Wave opened up the kitchen window as Charm gave her theory some consideration. "That's the only thing I can think of. Too bad you're not sick, otherwise we could use your results too."
Wave laughed a bit before giving a sly grin to Charm while joking about how he worded that. "I sincerely hope you're not asking me to intentionally get sick."
Moby took a little longer to recover from the fart, despite not being directly hit with it this time. He was still covering his nose when he gave a suggestion on what to do. "Wave, would you mind letting us use your bathroom to wash this stench off of us?"
"Go right ahead." Wave offered, allowing Moby to rush off to the bathroom as fast as he could. Charm and Claw followed behind him as Wave filled them in on one more thing. "Don't worry about me. My bedroom has a bathroom too." And with that, Moby closed the bathroom door so he could wash Charm's fart scent off of him.
Snow was walking up to the beach with Coral trying to figure out how to confront her without being too direct. She wanted to help her, but she also didn't want to go to far with convincing her to open up. She knew this wasn't something easy to talk about. Once they reached the start of the ocean, she started talking. "Coral. About Eveline."
"Did F.M. tell you about the phone call?" Coral interrupted, surprising Snow with her observation skills. Then again, she did see them talking at the park.
Snow looked at Coral after sighing in response, hoping she could still salvage this conversation. "Yes, she did. And before you say anything, she's worried about you too."
"There's nothing to be worried about Snow." Coral insisted, truly believing that Eveline had her best interests at heart. But Snow could see that she was hiding certain feelings about something. "I know Eveline can be incredibly hard to be around, but she's still a good Canine."
Snow didn't buy what Coral was saying for one second. She knew from first glance that Eveline was trash. "Would a 'good Canine' convince you to come up here and use Skye for her own desires?" Snow's question stumped Coral, leaving her without a surefire way of answering it. Snow began showing a genuine concern for Coral's safety, one that came from the heart. Because she could feel in her own way what she was going through. "Coral. Eveline is using you."
Unluckily for Snow however, Coral wasn't having it with her speaking poorly about someone she saw as an adopted mother. "No, she's not."
"Yes, she is." Snow protested, not wanting Coral to believe anything false about Eveline. "This happened before, with Claw. He was used, and his family was put in danger because of it."
"You mean by Charm?" Coral asked, stunning Snow by how she knew that. Coral made it clear that she knew what she was in for. "I know what Charm's like Snow. That's why I got worried when I saw him with you guys. He's not going to change. Now now, not ever."
"What does that have to do with Eveline?" Snow asked, feeling that Coral was trying to change the subject on her.
"Simple. It perfectly captures what her lessons show." Coral got right up to Snow's face when finishing what she had to say. "Awful pups, like Charm, don't change. And all change, should be feared."
"Wow. That's just perfect, It's definitely not the most obnoxious display of hypocrisy I've ever heard." Snow shot back, making her sarcasm clear as day with Coral being furious by it. Snow stepped away from her while asking one more question regarding Eveline. "At least Charm practices what he preaches. If Eveline really rejects all change, then why did she let YOU change by remaining a Mer-Pup to live in PupLantis?"
Coral flinched upon hearing that question, finding herself unable to give Snow a proper answer. All she could do was live away, finding herself more conflicted in Eveline's beliefs. Before Snow could speak up in her attempt to help her see Eveline's true colors, Coral declared the conversation over. "I have to go." Coral revealed a water-proof paper when she started walking towards the water. When Snow saw it, she saw that it was for the Trans People Learning Seminar F.M. mentioned, revealing that Coral still wanted to help her. "I'll be back in a week."
Coral turned back into a Mer-Pup and went back to PupLantis, leaving Snow puzzled about why she was still helping F.M.. If she truly believed Eveline so much, why did she go out of her way to help with this Seminar? She obviously opposed to Eveline's bigotry, but she didn't expect her to do something that would directly oppose Eveline herself. When F.M. called her, she picked up and started walking back to her car. "Hey Snow. How did the talk with Coral go?"
"Now so well." Snow admitted, leaving F.M. worried as Snow hopped into her car. "Can we talk when I get back?"
"Of course!" F.M. responded, reminding Snow that she would always be there for her.
Snow smiled before backing up, glad that F.M. was always there to help her through stuff like this. "Thanks sweetie." Snow backed out of her parking space and drove back to the Lookout, hoping that she was still capable of protecting Skye from whatever plan was going on behind her back.
Rock music played as F.M. started speaking in regards to what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "This seminar turned out to be a more packed than I thought! Good thing I rehearsed what I wanted to say. Coral decided to show up too. This could be good. Buuuuut it could also mean whatever Eveline has planned is still ongoing. Should we keep her away from Skye?"
F.M. finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with F.M. on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, F.M. The Teacher! (Chase and Marshall are shown talking about what happened with Skye the week before) Skye's still mad at Chase? It's so unlike her to hold a grudge."
