12 years after Naruto's first bowl of ramen.
Exterior: Konoha, park, evening.
As she found herself lost in thought, 16 year old Hinata Hyuga was confronted by a snake-like man, with yellow eyes, long black hair, and pale grey skin.
"You're coming with me, little Hyuga.
You have something I want so very much to study, and I will take it.
Struggling will be futile against me,"
As her eyes widened, she gasped, "Orochimaru!" before she tripped backwards.
"Lord Orochimaru." corrected the rogue ninja as chakra draining ropes suddenly bound Hinata's ankles, knees and thighs together, and her wrists and elbows behind her back whilst additionally pinned to her back by ropes around her waist.
Orochimaru stepped towards her as she fell onto her rear, but an orange flash hit him in the chest with a familiar blue orb, sending him flying back, landing in a crater of impact.
"Who did that?" demanded Orochimaru as he got to his feet to see a teenage boy with spiky blonde hair wearing a sleek black and orange outfit and a headband, with a sheathed katana behind his back.
"Naruto!" exclaimed Hinata, relieved upon recognising her friend and crush.
"Well, things are getting interesting," chuckled Orochimaru.
"I'm going to take you down, traitor!" declared 16 year old Naruto, with a seriousness Hinata hadn't seen before.
"Is that so?" laughed Orochimaru.
"Believe it."
"Do you even know who you're challenging, boy?
I am Lord Orochimaru."
"If you ever lay so much as a finger on Hinata, I'll kill you!" threatened Naruto, and he wasn't bluffing.
"Is that so?" taunted Orochimaru, "Show me how you, Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, the orphan of Lord Fourth, Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi, will stop me!"
"You asked for it, Voldemort!" obliged Naruto who transformed as if he were a bright orange flame of pure chakra in human form.
Faster than lightning, Naruto and 5 shadow clones attacked Orochimaru from all possible sides and angles in a yellow flash before he could move to defend himself.
Then Naruto and his 5 clones, in sync, took a stance Hinata recognised yet almost didn't as it was a hybrid technique, "Eight trigrams, Rasen-palms!"
Hit by every single one of Naruto's close-quarters attacks, severing dozens of his chakra points, Orochimaru screamed in unimaginable agony as the full force of the attacks permanently killed him.
Having returned to his natural state whilst the clones vanished, Naruto freed his friend, and helped her to her feet, then she threw her arms around him, and cried whilst resting her head upon his shoulder.
"Shhh, it's okay, you're safe now," he soothingly assured whilst returning the embrace, "you're safe, Hina."
"Thank you, Naru,"
"Anytime." he promised before she kissed him, then the Anbu, several Hyuga clan guards, a handful of Jonin, Sasuke, Hinata's parents, Hizashi, and the Third Hokage arrived.
"Are you alright?" asked Hiruzen, concerned.
"I was almost abducted, but Naruto saved me," answered Hinata, "he was amazing,"
"Where is this would-be kidnapper that dared attempt to take you?" demanded Hiashi before the kids gestured to Orochimaru's unmoving form.
Turning the corpse onto its back, an Anbu operative identified, "Lord Third, it's Orochimaru!"
"What?" gasped Hiruzen as he rushed over.
"Saving the day without me?" asked Sasuke, "I thought you were on a late night ramen run."
"I was, then there was an instinct.
A feeling that guided me here, right where I was needed most at the exact moment.
It was like I was connected to every living thing, and a great weight had been lifted,"
"I'll take your word for it, for now."
Recognising Lord Hyuga, Naruto beamed, "Lord Hiashi, it's great to see you again,"
"Naruto," acknowledged Hiashi, "you've beyond kept your promise."
"Huh?" asked Naruto, clueless.
Hinata looked at Naruto, and asked her father, "You know each other?"
"When I was still an infant, Hiashi saved my life, and bought me my first ever bowl of Ramen." explained the blonde, "I promised I'd repay him someday,"
"That was you?" asked Hinata who blurted, "you're a lot cuter than he made you sound,"
"And you're even cuter and fairer than can be described, Princess Hinata." returned Naruto, making the Heiress blush.
"Thank you for saving my eldest daughter." Hiashi said to Naruto, "and you truly have grown strong to defeat one of the Sannin at your age."
"I was just doing my duty to someone I hold dear." replied Naruto who turned to Hiruzen, "Orochimaru knew things about me that he shouldn't have known."
"What things, my boy?" asked Lord Third, concerned.
"He knew about my parents, and the Pokemon.
Go on, Grandpa, people might as well know now.
Tell them my father's name."
"You, Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze, are the son of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze: The Yellow Flash, and Kushina: The Red Death." confirmed Hiruzen, "and the nine-tailed Fox was sealed inside you when you were born, making you its Jinchuriki."
"His name is Kurama," corrected Naruto, earning shocked looks from the present company.
"How much did you know before we told you?" asked Hiruzen.
"Kurama properly explained everything to me ages ago, so I've had time to process, come to terms with, and understand it all."
"Has he anything he wishes to tell us?"
"He doesn't like how people abuse Jinchuriki.
We're people, not monsters, demons, living weapons, or deterrents to war.
He's angry at the Ghost of the Uchiha, who's the one behind the Uchiha massacre, for using Genjutsu to trick him into hurting the people he wanted to protect."
"I take it he both told you what happened from his perspective, and showed you his memories of the event?"
"Yeah, and I could tell he wasn't lying or showing me fake memories," explained Naruto who took out a pen and paper, then drew a heavily detailed sketch which he held up, "His Mangekyo Sharingan looked like this."
As a female ANBU agent quietly grunted, Naruto turned to them, "You're hurt,"
"I am fine, you need not concern yourself,"
"Too late," shrugged Naruto as he took something from his pouch, "you're injured, now lay down on your back.
I'm taking a look."
"Anbu has our own medical corps.
Your assistance will be unnecessary."
"Do it, or Anko will be the one treating you."
"Fine." exhaled the operative who lay flat on her back before Naruto knelt beside her, and nonchalantly removed her plated cuirass.
As Naruto's hands glowed, he placed his hands firmly upon and moved between the wounded areas, which included her breasts.
The Anbu woman muttered, "If you weren't using medical jutsu right now, I'd incapacitate or kill you for handling my boobs like this,"
"I'm sorry, am I being too rough with you?" innocently asked Naruto, "do you need me to be gentler?" falsely oblivious to the stunned expressions of the present company.
Brandishing a kunai as she laughed, Anko interjected, "Harm my Gaki, and you'll lose your virginity when I shove this kunai up your fuck hole."
Turning to Hinata, Hiashi asked, "Are you sure Naruto's really the one for you?"
"Without a doubt," answered Hinata, "I love him with all my heart.
I have since he rescued me all those years ago."
"If he loves you too, I will give my blessing in the event you enter a romantic relationship."
"Naruto, will you officially be my boyfriend?" blurted Hinata as she met the blonde's gaze.
"I would be honoured, my fair Princess." answered Naruto, making Hinata blush as she tightly hugged him.
"So cute…" mused Hinata's mum.
Later.
Interior: Konoha, shinobi high school, classroom, morning.
Entering the room with Hinata, Naruto was confronted by a handful of bullies.
"Hey, look, the freak's got himself a girlfriend who's just as much of a freak," teased one of the bullies before throwing a punch which Naruto effortlessly caught without hesitation or loss of eye contact.
Then he caught them by the wrist, and threw them across the room, into their fellow bullies before Sasuke gave them a taste of his Fireball jutsu.
"That's enough!" shouted Iruka as he appeared in a puff of smoke, not surprising Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Shino, Karin, Hinata, Choji, or Kiba and Akamaru, but startling the rest of the class.
Ruffling the back of his hair, Naruto greeted, "Morning, Iruka Sensei,"
"Hey, Naruto, what's got you all cheerful?" asked Iruka.
"Grandpa Hiruzen took me, my siblings, Konohamaru, and Sasuke for Ramen this morning.
And I stopped one of the worst bad guys, yesterday,"
"Of course he did," chuckled Iruka, "and who was the bad guy?"
"Orochimaru,"
Iruka choked on some water, "What were you thinking when you decided to fight him?"
"That one of my most precious people was in trouble, and I wasn't going to let that monster touch her," answered Naruto, "believe it."
"The adults call you a monster and demon, Naruto!" called out one of the other students.
"If protecting this village and those precious to me makes me a demon, then I will be one in the eyes of Konoha's enemies," declared Naruto, "I'll be whatever Konoha needs me to be."
"Who are you, and what'd you do to Naruto?" asked Kiba, shocked by his classmate's attitude.
"My heritage has been revealed, as has the identity of my parents.
I'll do what I can to honour their memory, and make them proud."
Kiba observed Naruto was wearing a black headband bearing an orange Konoha leaf symbol, "Hey, no fair, your headband is cooler than mine."
Interested, Ino asked Naruto, "Who are your parents?
You've never mentioned them before,"
"The Yellow Flash and The Red Death," proudly answered Naruto, "believe it!"
"You certainly look like him, that's for sure."
"You've never lied about personal stuff before, and you really are the spitting image of Lord Minato," exhaled Iruka, "by the way, how did you beat Orochimaru?"
Naruto grinned, "With a secret technique."
Later.
Exterior: Konoha, training ground, late afternoon.
Practising a new Jutsu under supervision, Naruto smiled as it became smaller, eliminating the risk of self-harm, but far more concentrated and potent than previous attempts, "Rasen-shuriken!" before throwing a shuriken made of pure chakra at several training dummies, all of which were cut clean in half with pinpoint accuracy.
"Wow! You're growing more and more impressive every day, little brother." praised Karin.
"I had great teachers, and lots of practice."
"There's some very important things to always remember." mentioned Jiraiya.
"Like what?"
"In the heart of a shinobi lies their strength.
Always be true to yourself.
Stand by your allies and those precious to you.
And protect them with all your might.
Never abandon your comrades or your ninja way.
Even in death, your parents watch over you, and they live on through you."
"Right,"
"Oh, and of course, with great power comes great responsibility."
"Alright, it's time for a break," said Tsunade as she, Anko and Shizune laid out some food and refreshments upon a table they'd summoned.
"Okay, Grandma." replied Naruto as he joined them along with Nagato and Karin.
With a smile, Tsunade planted a kiss upon Naruto's temple, "Great job on your new version of the jutsu, sweetie.
Making it smaller and the blades shorter made it far less likely to harm you in the process of using it."
"Maybe I'll create a Rasen-kunai next,"
"If anyone can make it work, it's you."
Spotting some of his peers nearby, Naruto greeted, "Hey, Shika, Cho, what's up?"
"Something smells amazing," replied Choji.
"There's plenty extra if you'd like to join us," offered Shizune.
"Thank you, we gratefully accept." replied Shikamaru as he and his friend sat at the table.
"Oh, right. Shikamaru, Choji, you remember Karin, Nagato, Aunt Anko, Aunt Shizune, Grandpa Jiraiya, and Grandma Tsunade." reminded Naruto who cheekily added, "and I still call Jiraiya the Pervy Sage." earning laughter.
"Laugh it up all you want, it'll distract you from the food." teased Jiraiya.
"Never get between an Akamichi and a feast." advised Choji.
"No wonder you're so powerful and stuff.
You've been training with two of the legendary Sannin all this time, haven't you?" deduced Shikamaru.
"Uh-huh, started shortly after the day Lord Hiashi saved my life,"
"You mean Hinata's dad?
When did this happen?" asked Nara before he shed tears upon hearing the full story, "I'm so sorry, Naruto.
You're my friend, and I should've been there to protect you.
It's such a drag, but I wish I'd been there to help you even if we hadn't met yet.
You'd do the same for me without hesitation."
"I'm relieved that you weren't there, Shika," admitted Namikaze, "If you tried to help me, I'm certain they would've hurt or killed you too.
And I'd blame then never forgive myself for it."
Choji wondered, "Why do so many of the villagers give you so much crap?
You're a great guy.
You care about everyone.
And you share your food even if it's obvious you're the one starving,"
"It's supposed to be an S-rank secret, and it might scare you," cautioned Naruto.
Wiping his mouth with a napkin, Shikamaru nodded to the blonde, "You can tell us anything, Naru.
We'll stand by you no matter what,"
"I'm the Jinchuriki of Kurama, the nine-tailed Fox.
He's sealed away inside me, which is why so many of the villagers hate me," admitted Naruto, "It wasn't even mine or Kurama's fault."
Shikamaru's eyes widened, "Do you know who was behind the attack?"
"It was a man identifying himself as the Ghost of the Uchiha," answered Sasuke as he joined them, "he used a Mangekyo Sharingan."
"It'd have to be an Uchiha with a grudge against either the village, Naruto's parents, or all of the above." said Jiraiya.
"Hi, Sasuke." greeted Karin.
"Hey, Karin." returned Sasuke.
"You look really nice today,"
"As do you."
"Thanks."
As the name came back to him, Naruto inquired, "Grandpa Jiraiya, what happened to Obito?
Rin and Kakashi never talk about him."
"I haven't heard that name in a long time.
I tell ya, Kushina really loved that kid.
She practically adopted him as a son, and hoped you'd be like 'big brother Obito,'.
They told him as much as well."
"Cool."
Later.
Interior: Konoha, Hokage tower, Hokage's office.
As a figure was brought in by Nagato, Anko and the Anbu Black Ops, Hiruzen asked, "You had a proposition for me, Starkiller of the Seven Swordsmen?"
"I have a message and information you'll want, Lord Hokage."
"Define information?" asked Hiruzen who was given a folder.
"The Akatsuki have been shutting down Orochimaru's operations, experiments, and bases, whilst freeing his prisoners in the process, ever since they discovered what he was up to.
They've practically helped create a hidden village since they gathered everyone they liberated, removed all the curse marks the liberated had, and showed them how to work as a community."
"And yet some kept insisting the Akatsuki were Jinchuriki hunting fear mongers who wanted to take the tailed beasts for themselves, and rule the world."
"No, they were seeking the Jinchuriki because they know how they're treated.
Most members know what it's like to be an outsider in their own home.
To be perceived as a demon for their actions, special gifts and uniqueness.
In addition to being mercenaries and humanitarians, and on occasion vigilantes and bounty hunters, they want to protect Jinchuriki.
Not kill them and steal their power."
A week later.
Interior: Konoha, shinobi high school, classroom, morning.
Reading out names, Iruka called, "Team 7 will be Naruto Uzumaki-Senju-Namikaze, Hinata Hyuga, and Sasuke Uchiha…" began Iruka.
"Noooo, why do they get to be with Sasuke?" whined a pack of fangirls.
"Why does Naruto get to be in Sasuke's group, and not me?" demanded Sakura before a kunai flew through her desk and one of her stool's legs, causing her to fall to the floor with a thud, "What the hell is wrong with you, Naruto?"
"Leave him alone!" snapped Karin.
"Mind your own business."
"He's my brother, so it is my business, pinky."
"Do you ever shut up, Haruno?" growled Sasuke, "Naruto's on my team because we work well together.
He is my brother, and I am his.
Because of all our hard work and training, we're the two strongest Genin in the village, modestly speaking.
But you? You are just another whiny, pathetic, annoying stalker."
Iruka continued, "Team 7, it looks like you'll have four members instead of three." surprising the class.
"Four?" Hinata inquired, "Sensei, who's the fourth?"
Appearing out of nowhere, a young man, 20 years old, with fair skin, shaved short black hair, hazel eyes, and a slim, acrobatic build, stood next to Naruto.
He wore a black personalised headband, a sleek, black, long-sleeved, Kevlar shirt, a sleeveless dark red hooded haori, combat boots, fingerless gloves, a ring, vambraces, a cyan crystal pendant shaped like a Phoenix, and a utility belt from which hung two seemingly bladeless shoto hilts whilst a katana style hilt rested in a sheath across his right shoulder.
"This is Galen," said Iruka who explained, "he's acting as a temporary member of team 7." interesting the students.
"Bet he's still no match for Sasuke, he's the best!" squealed the vexing Sakura, earning a facepalm from the entire room.
Ignoring the fangirl, Uchiha studied the appearance and chakra presence of the new arrival.
"Hmmm? Did someone say something?" dismissively asked Galen, "Or is all that squeaking just the mouse underneath pinky's seat?" making Sakura cling to the ceiling with a scream, earning laughter.
"I have no data on him, therefore he is a wildcard, and unpredictability is dangerous," thought Sai, "proceed with caution when initiating social protocols.
Potential threat level: unknown.
If social interaction is initiated, use his name, not a nickname."
"Not funny, jerk!" growled Sakura as she fell to the floor, stood up, then threw scissors at Galen, who wasn't looking in her direction.
But he whirled around, caught the scissors mid-air, snapped the blades off, and threw the handles back at Sakura whose forehead was hit by them, sending her to the floor with a thud, before the blades were thrown into the wall behind her.
"Please don't damage school property." groaned Iruka.
Hearing a loud tear as she stood, Haruno looked down to see her clothes in pieces, except for her bra and panties, then squealed in embarrassment, and blushed whilst Sai started sketching without looking away from her.
Like a bored smartass, Shikamaru deadpanned, "Wardrobe malfunctions… what a drag,"
"Do you believe you're too sexy for your shirt?" inquired Sai, with a cheerfully mischievous expression.
Enjoying a bag of chips, Choji finished a bite, "This is why people should keep a change of clothes on standby, or wear things that are actually in their size."
Turning to Nara with a raised fist, Sakura accused, "You used one of your clan jutsu to strip me, didn't you?"
"They don't work like that, and it'd be a waste of chakra to use on you if one did," lazily dismissed Shikamaru, "Troublesome girl."
"Sakura, you've just earned yourself detention!" scolded Iruka, "and luckily for you, the academy at least has spare pants," before form fitting black pants appeared in front of Haruno, "however you will have to pay for them."
"These pants feel a bit small," whined Sakura as she sat down, "and does nobody seriously have a shirt I can borrow?"
"As I understand it, certain bras are sometimes worn without shirts," observed Sai, "I fail to see why pinky has an issue with doing so,"
"Haruno, you're used to small things," quipped Kiba, "like your chest, but at least you have a cute ass to make up for it."
"Shut up, you perverted puppy!"
"Enough!" interjected Iruka, "and by the way, the two of you are on the same squad as Ino and Sai."
With Akamaru peeking out of his hoodie, Kiba grinned like a feral beast during heat, "Hell yeah! I'm with two hot babes!"
Looking up from his sketchbook, Sai smiled, "And neither of them desire to mate with you, horny hound."
"Really? That's what you're calling me?" asked Kiba, slightly amused.
With a nod, Sai showed Kiba his latest sketch, "For now."
"That's a great drawing."
Curious, Ino asked, "Will this even work?
I'm not the closest with them, but being teamed up with Choji and Shikamaru would make more sense.
Our dads were in the same squad."
"The more you use a certain tactic, the less effective it becomes," answered Iruka, "and the easier it'll be for enemies to predict our strategies, and prepare both countermeasures and contingencies."
"Fair enough," acknowledged Ino, "I'm also more than happy to work with Naruto, since he's kind, considerate, funny, clever, creative, sweet, compassionate, easy to get along with, dependable, and a team player."
"Really? You'd want to work with that thing?" scoffed Sakura before she, Karin and Ino started arguing from across the room whilst Sai illustrated the argument in manga format.
To the class's shock and horror, Galen loomed over Sakura's desk, having transformed into Itachi Uchiha, wearing a black cloak covered with red clouds, with his Sharingan activated.
As the pink haired brat looked in front of her upon the room falling dead silent, she went pale, and fainted.
Cancelling the jutsu, Galen returned to his seat, between Sasuke and Naruto, but had yet to sit down, "Sorry for the heart attack."
"What the hell?" asked Sasuke, "of all forms you could take to scare her into silence, why was it Itachi?"
"I figured it'd take another Uchiha to make your fangirl stop talking.
I'm sorry for my insensitivity."
"Okay, but what was that outfit?"
"It's what he's wearing these days," shrugged Galen who assumed the forms of several bingo book entries using the transformation jutsu.
Iruka folded his arms, "Can you please stop showing off your transformation jutsu mastery, and sit down?"
"Since you asked so nicely."
Turning to his new teammate, Naruto greeted, "Hi, I'm Naruto, welcome to Konoha,"
Shaking the blonde's hand, Galen smiled beneath his mask, and thought, "The Force is strong with this one."
Iruka informed, "Choji, Shino, Karin and Shikamaru, you're assigned to the final squad."
"Sensei, squads are normally three Genins with a Jonin Sensei.
Why are there four Genin per squad this time?" asked Ino.
"So many of you are promising, yet we have so few Jonin approved for leading Genin.
Also, having Genin who aren't assigned to a squad, and kept in reserves only, reflects poorly on our shinobi force."
"So basically they're making sure they're not sidelining anyone due to a lack of Senseis?"
"Yeah, everyone deserves a teacher who'll help them grow and mature as a shinobi.
I myself was kept on a reserves list for three years, after having just lost my parents.
It sucked."
Later.
Interior: Konoha, shinobi high school, classes.
As Kurenai entered the room, Naruto smiled warmly, "Hi, Aunt Kurenai."
"Behaving yourself, sweetie?" asked the Genjutsu mistress, in a soft and motherly tone, as Naruto sped over to her, and adoringly hugged her.
"Depends how I'm meant to be behaving." answered Naruto, with a mischievous grin as the hug ended whilst he stepped back.
"Kiba Inuzuka, Akamaru, Sai, Sakura Haruno, and Ino Yamanaka please follow me." instructed Kurenai.
"Fuck yeah! I've got a smoking hot babe for a Sensei!" blurted Kiba, "I wonder if she's single." earning raised eyebrows, glares and stares.
As they leapt towards Kiba, a shadow clone of Naruto raised their palm whilst forming a Rasengan.
"Shit!" exclaimed Kiba as the attack was about to connect, but the clone dispelled itself, causing him to fall onto his back, "what the?"
"My Naruto gets very protective of me when I draw certain kinds of attention," explained Kurenai, "also, I'm old enough to be your mother, and I'm happily married.
Don't even try making moves on me, or making perverted advances towards me.
Am I clear? Or do I need to speak to your mother?"
"We're clear." assured Kiba.
As Sakura went to punch Naruto, who'd returned to his seat, for no apparent reason, the blonde boy evaded as time seemed to stand still, then she found herself at the front of the room, her fist colliding with her own face.
Kurenai sternly stared at Haruno and Inuzuka, "That's enough, and you two clearly need attitude adjustments.
Kiba, you need to work on controlling your hormones.
Sakura, control that temper, and learn some discipline.
Naruto is not a punching bag, he's a human being, and family to me."
"Sorry, Sensei, I just got…" began Haruno.
"I'm not the one you owe an apology to.
If you attack your allies whenever you're in a bad mood, you will get them and yourself killed.
Nobody's your personal punching bag."
Exterior: Konoha, shinobi high school, rooftop.
Meeting up with their Sensei, the four youths sat on two benches.
Naruto and Hinata sat next to each other on one, and Sasuke and Galen sat on the other.
Kakashi stood across from them, eyeing them with curiosity, "So, take turns telling me about yourself.
Names, likes, dislikes, favourite food, hobbies, dreams and goals.
You get the idea."
"You first." shrugged Galen.
"I'm Kakashi Hatake.
I have no desire to tell you my likes and dislikes." Kakashi lazily said, "My dreams for the future… Hmm…
As for my hobbies… I have lots of hobbies."
"Oh, it's like that, is it?" thought Sasuke.
"Really?" deadpanned Naruto, "You're taking this approach, Uncle Kakashi?
This isn't the Anbu, ya know." earning a sweatdrop from Hatake.
"Try again, Sensei," said Hinata, "if you won't open up to us, we won't open up to you.
This lack of basic trust will inevitably cause problems."
"Since you insist on it so much you're bordering on insubordination.
My likes include a certain book series, the concept of a squad being like family, and spending time with my friends.
My dislikes include fangirls, the wait for the release of books I've pre-ordered, and those who abandon their comrades.
My dream for the future is making sure my students succeed as shinobi and as good people.
One of my hobbies is reading."
"Why didn't you just say that in the first place?" asked Galen.
"Because I didn't want to."
Taking a moment before going, Naruto smiled, "My name's Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze.
All kinds of ramen and dango are my favourite foods.
I like when me and my precious people are treated to meals.
Learning, practising and developing new techniques and jutsu,
I like helping people, spending time with my precious people, music, cooking, drawing, training, and improving myself."
"Nice." thought Hatake.
"I dislike bullies, and when my precious people are hurt.
People who think they're better than everyone.
And those who take advantage of others.
How cruel most of the villagers are towards me.
The hatred and abuse that Jinchuriki and others with rare gifts and appearances face, and being underestimated.
I also hate traitors like Orochimaru."
"What's a Jinchuriki?" thought Sasuke.
"My dream is to become the best shinobi I can be.
To make my precious people proud.
To start my own family.
And reunite the scattered remnants of the Uzumaki clan."
"Good for you," approved Kakashi with a smile beneath his mask, "who's next?"
Hinata spoke up, "I'm Hinata Hyuga.
My favourite food is cinnamon rolls.
I like learning, music, cooking, and spending time with the people I love.
I don't like bullies, or seeing my precious people suffering.
How horribly the villagers treat Naruto.
Feeling helpless when my precious people need me, and being underestimated."
"My goals are to become more confident in myself and my abilities.
To be the best ninja I can.
To prove myself to my clan.
To change my clan for the better.
And free the Hyuga's branch family from their birdcage seals." continued Hinata, "My dream is to be by Naruto's side to support him and help him achieve his goals and dreams.
And to someday take the next step in our relationship."
"That's a healthy one, and I think I hear wedding bells in your future," approved Kakashi, "not as ambitious as I'm used to hearing.
But it's nice to know your dreams come hand in hand.
That you're planning to stay close after your training is complete.
And that you want to bring positive change."
Turning to Hinata, Naruto smiled, "Thank you, Hina.
I want to help you accomplish your goals and dreams too.
And I always have and always will have unwavering faith in and believe in you,"
Holding Namikaze's hand, she replied, "I believe in you too, and I always will, Naru."
"You in blue, it's your turn now." stated Kakashi.
"I am Sasuke Uchiha.
I like spending time with my brother, Naruto, and our family.
Reading, music, and training.
My dislikes are fangirls, politicians, criminals, bullies, and traitors.
My goals are to restore my clan.
Rebuild the Konoha police force.
And bring Itachi, and his accomplices in the slaughter of my clan, to justice."
"Justice? So you don't seek revenge?"
"Revenge's a self-destructive emotional response that only leads to more suffering.
I want to bring him home so he can answer for what he's done."
"And then there was one," sighed Hatake who turned to Galen, "so, it's your turn."
"My name is Galen Marek.
My likes and dislikes are few.
One dislike I care to specify is the cruelty and abuse I've witnessed Jinchuriki be subjected to.
While I have extensive chakra reserves internally, a universal energy field created by all living things known as The Force also gives me abilities.
In my experience, chakra is considered yet another aspect of and way to harness the power of the Force.
And I'm not actually here as a Genin."
With a raised hand, Naruto asked, "Sorry for interrupting, but what do you mean by that?"
"As I'm far too powerful and skilled to be a Genin, I've been made a Special Jonin under Kakashi's supervision.
My only priority is keeping my friends, family and allies alive."
"This Force he speaks of sounds familiar, so I'll have to do some research," thought Kakashi who stated, "okay, you've passed my opening test."
"What?" asked Sasuke, "what test?"
"I value teamwork, friendship and loyalty as mandatory traits for any worthy shinobi squad."
"Fair enough."
"I wonder what our first mission will be," mused Naruto.
"It'll be the most simple missions first.
A way to get a feel for how well the team works together," informed Kakashi, "We'll build up some experience before taking on anything more intense, exciting or challenging,"
"Adventure and excitement, a shinobi craves not these things," quipped Naruto, earning a sweet giggle from Hinata.
"You have a really nice laugh, Hina," praised Naruto who met her gaze, "it's incredibly beautiful just like you," making her cheeks flush, "huh? You've turned red all the sudden.
Are you okay? I know medical jutsu, and have a medkit if you're unwell."
"I'm fine, Naru," assured Hinata, "I'm just a little overwhelmed by all the praise,"
"As long as you're alright, my fair Princess."
Later.
Exterior: Konoha, training ground.
Holding his book, Kakashi stated, "I want you four to come at me in full force," before Hinata activated her Byakugan with an elegant aura of purple chakra around her body.
Galen activated a fully matured Sharingan whilst crimson electricity surged around his body in a protective aura, and drew his katana hilt, the blade of which sprang to life with a bright crimson glow.
Then Sasuke activated his Sharingan.
"Uh-oh." thought Kakashi who exclaimed, "Wait, Naruto, don't!" before the blonde activated Kurama chakra mode.
As a legion of shinobi and Anbu, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Hiruzen appeared, the latter asked, "We felt an immense surge of chakra.
What is going on here?"
"Kakashi's giving us the bell test." answered Naruto, earning laughter, and causing people to sweatdrop and facepalm.
"And you powered up all the way to Kurama mode for it?" cackled Anko, "overkill, much?"
"Knowing Kakashi, he told them to come at him in full force." sighed Yamato.
"Well, I think we can all agree he's got the nine-tails' power under control." mused Jiraiya, making everyone sweatdrop.
"Please return to base form before you give someone a heart attack." requested Hiruzen.
"Sorry for the scare, Grandpa," apologised Naruto, who obliged.
"Perhaps save that form for when you're dealing with a considerable number of enemies, a Kage, or a powered up Jinchuriki."
