"DUCK!"

All of them hit the ground, and the explosion that follows is immense, rattles them down to their teeth, and Dakota gasps as she lifts her head, looks around. "What- what's going on?"

Asuka's already on her feet, arm raised, digivice thrumming with power. Calumon is lit from within by an impressive sort of power none of the others have really ever seen before, and then- Lotusmon bursts out in a wave of data, and lunges straight for Beelzebumon.

"Seven's Fantasia!" she cries out, multi-colored beam blasting from her staff and barreling right at the monstrous digimon, until he moves- it hits the ground just past where he'd been standing, and does nothing. Lotusmon spins, preparing another attack, just to be slammed in the face with all of Beelzebumon's weight, sending her crashing back down, where he then holds his weapon against her face.

"Stupid fairy," he grumbles. "All aesthetics and no fighting ability. Maybe tell those strange data humans to find real fighters to stop me next time." He's gearing up to attack, barely paying attention to the anger building on Lotusmon's face, when she rears up and pressing her caduceus against his abdomen. "Wha-?" He just barely has the time to look down, realize what's digging into his flesh, when his eyes wide and he tries to adjust-

But it's too late. Dark, pitch black aura pours from the tip of the weapon, embeds itself into his skin, begins tearing him apart from the inside.

"What is this- NO!" Beelzebumon roars up into the skies, his entire body destabilizing, fracturing into minuscule particles of data.

Lotusmon slowly gets back to her feet, observing his slow, painful destruction as Asuka walks up to her, unconcerned by the thrashing digimon only a couple feet away. "I'm ok," she reassures her partner, raising her arms and flicking off some remaining data from her weapons.

They step back a few paces just in time as Beelzebumon finally reaches critical and explodes into a rush of data, that drifts away on the wind. As soon as he's gone, Asuka turns to look at where Dakota is kneeling by a shaken AJ, her cool gaze sweeping over the other, more inexperienced digidestined. "Alright?" she calls out to them.

An echoing murmur of agreement makes its way to her and she reaches out in time to collect Calumon, soothing the digimon as she rests on Asuka's shoulder. The area once more peaceful and quiet, she checks her digivice to make sure her eyes aren't deceiving her, then returns to the others. "Let's go home."
