(In Training)
The truck then pulls into a Waffle World and the animals hopped out of the house. They went to a grassy area of the rest stop to process Bolt's training as a regular dog.
Mittens found a stick and brought it to the clueless dog. "Alright. Time to teach you the joys of fetch," Mittens said , holding the stick. When she threw it, Bolt sat there, clearly puzzled on how the game works.
Lucy went to get the stick to show Bolt how to play fetch. "Watch and learn," she told him. Mittens picked up the stick and waved it in front of the husky.
At first, it reminded the husky about Whenever she lost a fight. The human who had her would hit her with a stick as a
form of punishment. "Lucy?" Mittens said, seeing Lucy becoming tense from the raised stick.
"Huh? Sorry, sorry, throw the stick, Mittens," Lucy shook her head, but her legs were still trembling a bit. Bolt noticed this but thought it was too personal to her.
Mittens threw the stick and Lucy went to go get it. "You see there? It's easy," Lucy said, sitting down next to mittens. Bolt finally go the concept and went to get the stick.
Rhino had left to get a map for the group to look at. Lucy had found a bigger stick so she could show him tug o' war.
"What am I supposed to do with that?" Bolt asked, tilting his head. "Grab the other end and pull at it," Mittens said, showing what to do.
Bolt did so and Lucy pulled it first with a playful growl. Bolt pulled it back and swung his head around quickly understanding how to play this game. Rhino soon returned
with the map.
They got back onto the trailer just before it left. Mittens was using Rhino's ball while he was still in it as a toy for the two dogs.
It'd been a long time since Lucy played
with a ball so this is fun for her. When Mittens rolled the ball, both chased after him.
When dusk arrived , they all sat at the window to look at the map to see Where they had to go next.
After they turned towards Chicago, they get off the trailer and took the path to Springfield on foot. During this, Lucy felt her heart begin to soften whenever she was around the white Shepherd. A feeling she never had before.
They jumped into the back of a dirt-filled truck, where Mittens taught both Bolt and Lucy how to bury a bone. Afterwards, Lucy saw Bolt sitting at the wall with his forepaws on the edge.
The longer she looked at him, the faster her heart beated. Why was she feeling like this? They have been on this journey for a while now and all she wanted was for it to be over with. Now, she didn't want it to end.
From afar, she and Bolt saw a human playing fetch with his own dog with not a care in the world. Bolt looked over at
Lucy, who was gently smiling at the view as they drove down the highway. Boy, was she gorgeous to look at.
Bolt also found a rope toy and brought
it to Lucy, who grabbed it and got him to play tug o' war again. Another few days later, they were at a park to rest up.
Lucy play bowed in front of him, wagging her curled tail at him. The one thing the red husky didn't forget was how to play fight before going to the dog fights.
At first, Bolt didn't know what to do so he looked at Mittens for help. She showed him how to do it by doing the downward dog position.
When Bolt did this, Lucy ran off to get him to play with her. "C'mon, Bolt!" Lucy called, ready to get her energy out. Even Mittens told him to go play with a grin.
Bolt chased Lucy through the swings while barking happily. Eventually, he had pinned her to the grass, blushing when he saw how blue her eyes were.
After a while, they got in two kayaks a car to continue that was strapped down to a car to continue their journey. Bolt closed his eyes and felt the wind blow through his fur .
They gallop through a snowy mountain , where the two dogs played through it. Bolt
had never seen snow before so it was more fun for him.
Lucy felt different around him too; it was a warm, fuzzy feeling that she's never felt before. Was she falling in love with the wayward dog?
They were riding in a truck with large metal pipes, which was big enough to fit all of them. Mittens saw Bolt's mark fade away from his side along with Lucy. Bolt was feeling the rain hit his nose, smiling with his eyes closed.
Next thing they know, they were heading into Las Vegas. And when they did, the four animals looked at the colorful signs of Vegas, seeing the beauty of this city.
After eating out of a dumpster that had plentiful and fresh food, they sat in front of Caesars Palace, watching the water from the fountain dance in front of it. Lucy couldn't help but smile at this, leaning onto Bolt.
This is when Bolt and Lucy start to recognize their feelings for one another.
