North stood at the balcony of the Astronomy Tower as Munds was complaining to him.

"Have you ever thought that you ask too much or take too much for granted?" Munds asked. "Has it ever crossed your wondrous mind that I don't want to continue doing what you ask?"

"Irrelevant," North said. "I'm not going to negotiate, Aster. You agreed and that's that."

Munds stormed out.

That night.

Hiccup snuck into the Hufflepuff dormitory and woke Jack.

Before Jack could say anything, Hiccup told him he saw Eugene meet Hans.

Hiccup said, "I think we need to get everyone."

Jack sat up and said, "No, you get everyone, I'm going to get Uncle North."

"Are you sure?"

Jack leapt from his bed. As he put on pants and a hoodie, he explained North needed to know and he couldn't be wasting time trying to get everyone.

Hiccup agreed and the two set forth.

Hans pulled the drape off of the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement and left when Clayton, Gothel, and two other Death Eaters stepped out.

Hiccup turned the corner to Slytherin's dormitory and saw Eugene with Anna and Elsa. "What are you doing?" Hiccup nearly yelled as he stormed towards them.

"Stupefy!" Anna cast at Hiccup, sending him to the ground.

From inside the dormitory Astrid shouted, "What the hell?"

"Let's go!" Eugene demanded; and the three of them ran away.

Astrid came out into the hall, saw Hiccup, and ran towards him. "Merlin's beard, what is happening?"

Jack ran into North's office and shouted for him, but North wasn't there. "The Astronomy Tower," Jack said to himself and ran there.

North was in the Astronomy Tower and heard someone come in. He waited a beat and turned to see Hans with his wand pointed for battle.

"Good evening, Hans," North said nonchalantly. "Why are you here this fine evening?"

With a quivering lip and shaky voice, Hans said, "You know why."

"You are no assassin, Hans."

"I have to be! I need to be better than him, for my family's honor."

"There is no honor between murderers, Hans. I assume that's why you and Eugene were unable to fully commit to those attempts at my life."

"He trusts us. We were chosen!" Hans pulled his left sleeve to show his Death Eaters tattoo. "Eugene has one too. Over his scar. Poetic don't you think?" Hans forced a chuckle.

"Let me make it easy then," North put up his hands, his wand in his right.

Hans used Expelliarmus to disarm North.

"Good form, good form," North complimented.

The door to the tower opened.

"You brought guests?" North asked. "How?"

"The vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement," Hans said. "Eugene mended it."

"It has a sister, a twin, doesn't it?"

"In Borgin and Burkes."

"They form a passage. Brilliant." North complimented. "Hans, I once knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please allow me to help you."

"I don't want your help!" Hans cried out as his eyes burned with tears that refused to fall. "You don't understand. I have to do this. I have to kill you. Or he'll kill me."

North heard the footsteps of the Death Eaters get closer, his eyes darted between their direction and Hans.

Hans swiped away his tears.

Gothel entered the room first and smiled at North. "Looky what we have here." She sauntered over to Hans and whispered, "Well done, Hans." She kissed his cheek and stood beside him.

"Evening, Gothel," North greeted her stoically. "Are introductions not in order?" He asked, looking at Clayton and the other two Death Eaters.

"What's the point?" She asked. "You won't know them for long." She swung her head to Hans and whispered, "Do it."

Clayton grinned and said, "The boy doesn't have the stomach for it, just like his father. I can finish off the old man."

"No!" Gothel shouted. "The Dark Lord commanded Hans to do it!" She whispered for Hans to hurry.

Jack came into the room leading up to the tower.

Gothel shouted, "Who's there!?"

Before Jack could do anything, behind him, he heard Munds shout back his arrival.

Jack spun around and Munds quietly shushed him.

Munds then mouthed, 'Eugene.'

Jack nodded and ran off to find his brother.

Gothel shouted for Hans to kill North.

"No," Munds said as he joined the party.

"Aster," North said to his friend. His face and voice were both that of beseechment. "Please."

Munds casted the Killing Curse on North.

The curse struck North and he fell over his balcony.

Gothel rushed to the edge, shouted, summoning the clouds to form a skull over Hogwarts.

Jack heard her shout and looked out a nearby window and saw North lying on the ground. "Uncle North!" He bolted to where North was.

As Jack ran to the school courtyard, where North's body was, he heard Rapunzel scream. Once there he saw a crowd had already gathered. With Rapunzel on her knees crying as Merida held her.

"Jack!" Astrid yelled, from behind Jack. She walked up to him supporting Hiccup. "What's going on?"

Astrid and Hiccup turned to the crowd.

"Oh gods," Hiccup said, his voice slightly breaking with the realization of what had happened.

Before they could break down, Jack asked where the others were.

Hiccup cleared his throat, reigning in his emotions. "I saw Eugene with Anna and Elsa. Anna used Stupefy on me when I saw them."

"What is going on?" Astrid asked. "And where's Kristoff?"

Jack's eyes darted back-and-forth as he thought of everything he knew so far. It all registered; he roughly grabbed Astrid's shoulder and told her to gather Merida and Rapunzel and meet him at the Room of Requirement. He then darted off.

After Gothel forced a detour so she could destroy The Great Hall, the Death Eaters made it back to the Room of Requirement.

Hans asked, "Where are the others?"

"Don't worry," Munds told him and pushed him aside so the others could get back into the vanishing cabinet.

Gothel pinched Hans' cheek as she entered the vanishing cabinet with Clayton and the other Death Eaters.

Munds opened the door after they vanished and pushed Hans inside.

"Munds!" Jack hollered.

Munds turned and saw the teen standing at the doorway, fuming.

Jack saw a group approaching from the corner of his left eye, turned, and saw Eugene, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff walking towards him. He turned back to Munds and pointed his wand at him. He then casted, "Sectumsempra!"

Munds blocked the spell and knocked Jack into the wall behind him with a non-vocal spell. "You dare use my own spell against me?"

Jack's eyes widened.

"That's right, Frost. Those were MY notes."

The others walked past Jack as he struggled to get up.

"Get in," Munds commanded them.

"No," Eugene replied. "We're staying together. You go with Hans."

"Fine," Munds obliged and went into the vanishing cabinet.

"Jack!" They all heard Hiccup call out.

Jack weakly pointed at the treacherous four and told the others to stop them.

When Eugene opened the door is when the others came into the room.

"Eugene, no!" Rapunzel rushed to him.

Kristoff quickly grabbed Rapunzel and threw her into Astrid and Merida.

Hiccup ran to Kristoff after shouting his name and began pulling on him.

Jack shot up to his feet when the girls hit the ground and he saw Elsa start to get into the vanishing cabinet with Eugene. "Elsa," Jack cried out. "Please."

She turned from him and Anna followed her.

Jack felt his heart shattering all over again, the pain was too much…he couldn't move.

"You're not leaving with them!" Hiccup told Kristoff.

Kristoff turned to Hiccup, grabbed his face, and kissed his forehead. "I'm sorry, big brother." He then punched Hiccup in the stomach.

Hiccup fell to his knees, gasping for air.

Kristoff entered the vanishing cabinet with the others and shut the door.

"Go after them!" Jack sprinted to the door. He opened it and tossed Hiccup inside. He gathered the girls and put them in as well.

When they were all inside, Jack told them to get their wands ready, he closed the door and they waited.

After a beat, Hiccup asked if it had worked.

Jack opened the door and they saw the Room of Requirement.

Rapunzel pushed past Jack, her hands on her head, and she wailed. All her hate, anger, sadness, and bitterness let out.

Hiccup stepped out. "Kristoff!" He fell to his knees crying, knowing how Jack felt the previous year.

Astrid rushed to Hiccup's side.

Jack went to comfort Rapunzel, but she struggled against him.

They tussled for a moment, but hugged in the end, crying…again.

The next day, they were all on the balcony of the Astronomy Tower.

Jack and Hiccup were leaning over the rail.

Hiccup asked, "Do you think it was Hans or Munds that did it?"

"Munds," Jack answered. "I could tell Hans didn't want to, at all." Jack sarcastically chuckled. "The one time I trusted Munds and did what he said, he goes and kills our uncle."

"And takes everyone we love," Merida said.

Hiccup and Jack turn to the girls, standing behind them.

"We're going to find them though," Rapunzel said.

Astrid added, "When we're ready. Because right now, I don't think we are."

They all heard a bird cry. They looked up and saw Phil flying, going over the tower.

Jack smiled as the girls gathered around him and Hiccup. "No, but we will be; and when we are, we'll find them."
