A few nights later, when all the clan had gone out on patrol, from what Fang could make out, now was a good chance to sneak onto the castle as Brooklyn was outside getting some fresh air.

Brooklyn was observing his clan taking off and wishing he could take part in going out and having fun stopping bad guys, but that wouldn't happen for a few more months. He was just gazing over the edge of the battlements at the edge of the castle. This was what the brown cat mutate was waiting for.

Fang smiled evilly and he dove down quietly behind the red gargoyle.

Brooklyn didn't see his clan mates anymore when he suddenly heard a voice he hadn't heard in a while. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" He knew that voice. He turned to see it was Fang.

"Fang. What are you doing here? I heard you had escaped from the prison at the Labyrinth." Brooklyn declared.

"And they aren't taking me back." Fang retorted. "But it was your fault too for helping Talon take me down. And now, you're gonna pay for that." He growled maliciously.

Brooklyn knew this wasn't good. He couldn't be fighting in his condition. But Fang didn't know of his condition. He would fight if he had to, but he would protect his stomach at all costs. He normally wouldn't back down from a fight. He would take Fang down again.

"I'll make sure to take you down before you take me down." Brooklyn growled at Fang.

"Yeah, right. Let's get it on, you freak!" Fang was ready for a fight. He was ready to start shooting electricity at the red gargoyle.

Brooklyn saw that and he immediately jumped into the air. Fang took off after him. Gliding away was a main defense, even in pregnancy. The twins were weighing him down more, however. He wasn't quite able to move like he normally could. But he now had lightning bolts being shot at him from the mutate.

Brooklyn had to make sure he stayed well ahead of his enemy. He was pushing himself to get away. But Fang was catching up to him. Brooklyn had flown away from the castle to lead his enemy away. But the weight of the twins was getting to him after only half a mile. Brooklyn was starting to breathe harder, and he put a hand over his stomach to support it.

Fang saw how acrobatic the red male could be but not this night. He was just running. Running away from him. That coward! He thought. But he finally took aim at Brooklyn's back and he got above him in flight as he was slowing down. One quick aim and he shot a bolt of electricity right at the pregnant gargoyle.

The bolt shot into Brooklyn's back and into his body, making him cry out in pain. He started falling after falling unconscious.

Fang also had a gun on him, but it wasn't a gun with bullets; it was a gun that had a net on it and he shot it after the gargoyle as he fell. He caught Brooklyn in it. "Now I take you back and get my revenge on you for what you did to me." Fang stated maliciously.

He carried the net with Brooklyn asleep in it back to the Staten Island substation. He dragged the gargoyle down the stairs. He wanted him to feel it. His belly didn't hit the stairs though. There was still lots of night left. Fang took Brooklyn to the prisoner area and took him into a cage where he put cuffs on Brooklyn's wrists. There was no bed or mattress in the cell that Brooklyn was laid on. He didn't think Brooklyn deserved one.

Fang then left Brooklyn in the cell to wake up. His clan would never know where he was if he had anything to do with it. He would keep him locked up until he felt it was time to kill him. Or he could find that Thailog clone and give him to him. That would be the ultimate punishment for him once he was through with him.

...

Brooklyn soon awoke in the cell, feeling a hard surface beneath him. He was lying on his right side. "Oh, where am I?" he asked aloud. He sat up and rubbed his head. He also felt some bruising on his back, wing, and legs.

When his vision focused, Brooklyn looked around and he saw he was in a cage, again. He hoped he wasn't back in the clutches of the Illuminati. But then he remembered that Fang had been after him. Had Fang brought him here? He didn't recognize this place at all.

He also noticed that his wings felt kind of crampy. He hadn't been forced to glide that hard for a while. He had led Fang away from the castle, heading towards Midtown, but he hadn't made it that far. Fang had shot him down with electricity. Brook had always been good at dodging his bolts but not that time. The babies were making him less acrobatic in the air.

Speaking of the twins, Brooklyn looked down at his stomach and rubbed it. His belly was still round. He hoped the twins were alright inside him though. But it wasn't long before he felt them both give his hand a kick. He breathed a sigh of relief. But did Fang know he was pregnant? This was risky.

Fang could always shatter him in his stone sleep or do something really bad to him. He knew he had to get away from here, fast.

Brooklyn stood up and he began trying to free himself from the shackles on his wrists. But his strength was not up to its full par at the moment. He still felt the drowsiness from his ordeal. His stone sleep would allow his bruises to heal anyway, and he would be up to full strength again tomorrow night.

When the shackles wouldn't break off of his wrists, Brooklyn went to the bars and tried to break them open, but they held strong. Why wouldn't they break open?

Then the voice came on again. "What's a matter, Brooklyn? You don't like being treated like a prisoner? Being couped up? Well, that's how I felt for many months down there in the Labyrinth dungeon. Now it's your turn to be a prisoner." Fang taunted him, coming out of a different room. "I heard you out here and just watched what you would do."

"Where are we, Fang? You can't keep me here." Brooklyn declared.

"Oh, can't I? No one knows where we are right now, and I intend to keep it that way." Fang retorted. "You are going to be punished by me for what you did to bring my power down."

Brooklyn knew this wasn't good. Under his cat looks, Fang was still a human too. And even a mutated human was capable of doing unmentionable things that weren't so nice.

"Please Fang, let me go." Brooklyn softened himself. "You don't want to do this."

"Oh yes, I do. And what's up with you? You sure have let yourself go. That made it easier to catch you." Fang mocked him.

Brooklyn didn't really want to tell him his precious secret. It put him and the babies at risk more. "I haven't let myself go at all, Fang." He replied.

"Yes, you have. Your stomach is so huge it slows you down. Like two other members of your clan." Fang stated.

Brooklyn knew he meant Hudson and Broadway. "It doesn't slow them down at being warriors in the slightest. This doesn't slow me down either." He retorted.

"Ha! I caught you all too easily this time." Fang laughed.

"Only because I didn't see you up above me this time. Fang, I have enough on my plate as it is to worry about from humans up above trying to harm me. I don't need you doing the same thing. You are still a human underneath those cat looks." Brooklyn proclaimed.

"Yes, I am, but I like this body better than my human one I had before. And it was Sevarius who did this to me. Him and Xanatos. And to think, you are now living in the castle of that dimwit." Fang made a point.

"Xanatos saved our lives from being killed and he had a change of heart. Something you should consider doing. You used to be a trusted friend of Talon's. Now you're a rogue." Brooklyn explained.

"Talon claimed to be in charge all the time and I got tired of it. I'm a free spirit. I find I don't need anybody to be in charge of me unless I'm the one who's in charge." Fang exclaimed. "And I found the way you gave orders was rather enticing. But now you're taking orders from Goliath again."

"I'm his second in command. I'm still learning from him. It was from him how I learned to be the leader that I was in his absence. I would do it again. And I will take you down if you keep me here." Brooklyn warned him, his eyes glowing.

"But you aren't leaving that cage for some time." Fang declared. "But then, perhaps I should find that big clone of Goliath's and have him take you off my hands."

At that remark, Brooklyn calmed down. "Don't you dare try to find him. He would betray you as soon as look at you." He exclaimed.

"But he was more fun to work for than Talon was." Fang smiled smugly. "Now, what should I do with you?" He pondered.

"Fang, just let me go." Brook begged.

"It's just fun seeing you locked up instead of me." Fang claimed.

"Yeah, just for being what I am. But I'm not the one who likes causing trouble in his clan." Brooklyn explained. "You were causing trouble and that's why you were held prisoner."

"Shut up! You're just as bad as Talon. Being like a cop." Fang exclaimed.

"Well, he was a cop before becoming Xanatos' bodyguard." Brook stated.

"I know that. Talon told me. But I don't really care. I know what I can do right now." Fang then smirked. He started coming toward the cage.

Brooklyn didn't like the look on his face as the cat man was coming toward the cage. He backed up. "Stay away from me, Fang." He warned him.

Fang got to a certain distance and stopped. Then his hands started lighting up with the electricity. Brooklyn's eyes widened. Fang then began shooting bolts of electricity at him and the red male had to try to dodge the bolts of lightning super-fast to avoid getting hit.

It was over several minutes and he started to tire of it. Fang was certainly enjoying making Brooklyn cower in fear of being hit. The pregnant gargoyle was trying his best to not get hit. "Stop!" Brook managed to cry out.

"Ha ha! No way, you freak!" Fang kept on throwing bolts at him until he finally hit Brook in the shoulder, his right one.

Brooklyn cried out in pain, holding his shoulder. He was panting super hard. Fang saw how hard his target was breathing. "Looks like you need to lose some weight, Fatty!" He taunted him.

I would if I could. Brooklyn thought as he glared at his enemy.

"I'll be back later after I find out more of what I could do with you." Fang said and walked out of the room.

Brooklyn sighed but was worried about his babies. He hoped he would get himself out of here before Fang found out about them. He didn't want to reveal their secret to him.

He went on trying to figure a way to get out of his shackles. They were on tight but even if he had to hurt his wrists, he had to get out of here. He didn't want to risk turning to stone here if he could help it.
