Luna Estrada stares longingly at the ocean from the beach of Silevea Village, staring at the sunset which splashed color across the horizon.

"I wish I could sail the seas once more." she sighs.

"You and the stupid sea," Daphne Estrada laughs, "You're banned from the ocean."

"I know," Luna said, then pauses, "I still have a crew and a ship, you know?"

"Who cares?" Daphne asks, patting the sand off of her silky dress, "Last time, that captain guy came and you sailed off! When you finally returned a year later, you had already become the commander of a pirate ship! You're a disgrace!"

"Well, sister," Luna laughs, "You're about to get a taste of the ocean, because today, I'm breaking mother's rules."

With a laugh, Luna jumps up, dashing off towards the place where the sand met the sea, not leaving a single footprint behind on the sand.

She ran, as fast as she could, because she knew, her ship was waiting.

There, a ship rose out of the ocean, it's sails hoisted.

"Luna, wait!" Daphne cries, chasing her sister onto the ship.

"You can't leave once you're on the ship, sis." Luna laughs, switching into captain mode, "Hoist the sails, full speed ahead!"

On the shore, she was an elf, just like any other. But on the ocean, she wasn't just any sailor, she was a pirate, and not just any pirate either, she was the commander of the Horizon, a ship with 56 cannons, which sailed at an incredible speed, able to outrun even the fastest ship of them all.

Daphne screams, holding onto the rail of the ship, "What are you doing?!"

"What I was born to do," Luna shrugs, turning the wheel of the ship, "Sis, here's something most people here don't know: Peril Island is one of the few places where pirates are safe, savvy?"

"Ahoy there, young lass!" a man laughs, fingering Daphne's waterfall of chocolate brown hair.

Daphne pulls away, disgusted, "Luna, get him away from me!"

"Max get away from her," Luna sighs, then says, "Daphne Estrada, you have no right to call me Luna on the seas, I'm Captain Luna Estrada here. The angel is on the verge of rising, you can no longer hear her cries in the shells, it is time that we fulfill our destiny."

"I don't believe in those pirate stories." Daphne says, choking out a laugh.

"You'd better start believing in them, because you're living in one." Luna whispers, grinning.

"What is our destiny? How do you know that we are fated to stop her?" Daphne asks, quickly changing the topic.

"I'm not actually your sister." Luna begins, eyeing Daphne, "I'm the daughter of Marzanna, creator of the elves, which is why I'm an elf and you're a human. She's been lending me power for the past 14 years."

"But... you're 14 right now!"

"Exactly, I've known this would come since the day I was born."

"You're lying." Daphne says, forcing a laugh.

"Believe what you must," Luna shrugs, "Alcina seeks Enigma, the jewel of shadows, it's the only thing that can threaten her, we need to get it before she does."

"And where is this jewel?"

"We're going to find out, that's why we're going the Sky Mirror." Luna replies, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"I don't care, I want to get back home!" Daphne squeals.

"Where's the rest of the ships?" Luna asks suddenly.

"Right there, captain." a young boy grins.

"Who's that?" Daphne asks, bluzhing a little, a dreamy look on her face.

"Allen Jenkins, First Mate of the Horizon." Max grins, "What's ye thinkin', eh?"

"N-nothing," Daphne stammers.

Luna Estrada rolled her eyes, then smiles at Allen, "Good."

"Wait," Daphne says suddenly, "You captain more than one ship?"

"Duh," Luna smirks, "I captain the Horizon, The Serene Angel, The Avenger, the Jewel, and the Seven Stars."

"What did you expect? For me to captain only one ship?" Luna cackles, "I'm the Pirate Lord of the Emmerain Sea and the Nidora Ocean. There's only one other fleet of ships that sail these seas freely, and they are anything but friendly."

"Aye, Horace Vaugn ain't no friendly pirate," Max laughs, "His crew's even worse!"

"Captain Estrada!" a boy calls from another ship, waving like crazy, a smile on his face.

"That's Oliver Mitchell, he helps on The Serene Angel. Estella Summers works on The Avenger, Aileen Greer on the Jewel, and Arnold Parkinson on the Seven Stars." Luna explains, signalling the ship to head for La Rosa port.

"Why do they listen to an idiot like you?" Daphne asked, glaring at Luna with hatred burning in her eyes.

"If you try anything, I'll kill you without hesitation. That's what I told them, and that applies to you as well." Luna replied, gently putting her sword beside Daphne's neck.

"Y-you murderer!" Daphne screamed, quickly backing away.

"Believe what you must." Luna shrugged, sheathing the sword.
