Hello i'm back, thank you all who left kudos and read the first chapter, enjoy!

Again I own nothing

Hokage office

"So Naruto, quite the mess you made tonight." the third Hokage said, looking at his brand new ninja.Who was looking quite sheepish in his chair in front of the grandfather-like figure who had just recently become his new boss.

"Yea, sorry gramps, Mizuki got his claws into me with the idea of passing, but at least I captured him, rooting out a traitor is pretty good for my first day right?" Naruto said, perking up a bit at his first service to the village as one of its ninja.

"Indeed, he is under guard in the hospital right now, once he is again conscious he will be sent to the I&T corps to extract any information of value, thank you Naruto for inadvertently exposing him, as a ninja village, traitors must be dealt with, the leaking of vital information cannot be allowed to happen. But I will not keep you long, after the ordeal you must be tired." the Hokage explained to him.

"I wanted to talk to you about the information Mizuki told you, about the day of your birth." he said, his tone serious.

"You mean about me being a prisoner for the Nine-Tails or the Nine-Tails itself right?" Naruto answered looking glum again, as the pain of knowing why he was so hated still stung.

"Do not believe the small minded opinions of Mizuki and the civilians. Naruto, you are not a unique entity, as you may know there are a total of nine tailed beasts that exist in the elemental nations, the Kyuubi No Kitsune being the greatest of them all. We ninja, using the power of fuinjutsu which are powerful sealing arts, are able to seal these beasts away,in order to stop their earth shattering power some have been sealed in objects but a tailed beast has power and chakra beyond comprehension a simple object cannot contain the power, and a rivel village would jump at any chance to steal it. So we seal them into humans, normally as children, as the child can grow and adapt to the beast being sealed within them while an adult may not survive the process, not without immense vitality and willpower. At times, these people become shinobi and may even have the ability to tap into a tailed beast's power. We call such people, Jinchuuriki which means, 'power of a human sacrifice' that is what you are." the Third explained tell Naruto of his true nature, lest he believe the misconception of the idiotic villagers.

"So there are other people like me!" Naruto said standing off his chair.

"Yes. after the wife of the first Hoakge, Mito, sealed the fox inside herself to stop it being controlled in the battle between the first Hokage and his rival Madara Uchiha and became the first Jinchuuriki the balance of power in the shinobi world was tipped massively towards us that a war may have begun, so using his immensely powerful wood style ninjutsu the First gathered the tailed beasts, and distributed them to the rest of the shinobi world, so the balance would never be tipped so far war broke out. Alass since that time, three shinobi wars have broken out." the Third continued.

"So other nations have other Jinchuuriki I guess that makes me feel better, not being the only one in the world." Naruto said sitting down, feeling less lonely in the world, in some strange way.

"This was kept from you and the younger generation as I thought it may protect you but it seems the adults who suffered through the attack learned of you and through their lay of understanding or just plain ignorance projected their hatred of the beast upon you, and for that i'm truly sorry, know many shinobi know of Jinchuuriki and harbor no hatred towards you. I have to ask you to keep this to yourself and to not tell your classmates." he carried on. Naruto seemed to understand and nodded.

"But gramps, why me, why was I the one who had to become the Jinchuuriki?" Naruto asked him back.

"For that, I have no real answer, random chance? Maybe the Fourth knew you had great potential and vitality and believed you to be the only option to seal the beast away? All I know is that in some way, he believed in you, almost instinctively, and asked you to be looked after as a hero. Something I failed in. and for that I am again sorry. Do something for me Naruto, lift your shirt and channel your chakra to your belly." he again said, Naruto seemed to accept this answer and was happy that the Hokage he looked up to the most believed in him as only an infant, however now knowing what he did, he didn't know if he should still look up to the man, or have disdain for his actions. He lifted his mesh shirt and gathered his chakra and saw an intricate web of writing and symbols appear.

"What the hell?" Naruto asked, looking at it.

"The Fourth was a master in fuinjutsu Naruto, that is his final work, the seal that keeps the fox at bay. I must also ask that you never seek to tamper with it or let someone else do so without my permission. Keep track of it, if you can, if you see the seals design warp or feel off in any way. Please tell me right away, it is imperative that it is not compromised. Think of it as an S-rank mission between us, if you want." Hiruzen finished, smiling at the end.

"You got it, Hokage-sama." Naruto said teasingly, a gigawatt smile at the idea of an S-rank mission.

"HAHAH. I think that's the first time you've ever called me by my proper title. Now get some sleep." the aging Hokage laughs as Naruto leaves the room.

The next day

"I know I owe you for Mizuki but I still have rent to pay Naruto." Iruka sighed as he saw Naruto devour his fourth bowl of ramen, and he was getting another one made as he spoke.

"Hahaha. Sorry Iruka-sensei, last one I promise." Naruto said feeling a bit bad.

"It's not too bad, I mean I got a bonus for helping with Mizuki so it's alright. Oh, I need to tell you some things, first, be at the classroom in six days time for your team assignment and second later go to the Hokage tower, you need to have your ninja ID made." Iruka explained to him.

"Got it sensei, I kinda want to get some new gear for when I take the picture however I guess it's fine." Naruto said, excited to go to some shinobi hardware stores now he had a headband to gain entry.

"Well you should have some time. Here, Lord Hokage asked me to give you this." Iruka said, as he held out an envelope.

"As I got some extra pay for defeating Mizuki, so do you. So use that to get kitted out for real ninja work. And I know you like orange, but, tone it down a bit alright, it does kinda stand out, which is not what you want if you ever do a stealth op." Iruka said as Naruto looked in and found a decent amount of bills. Plenty to get some new shinobi gear.

At 'certainty of steel' shinobi outfitters

Naruto walked up to a store he had seen quite a few times around the village and he always saw one or two shinobi in the establishment regularly, as it seems they had regulars Naruto was happy trusting the gear that this one stocked. It would be a damn sight better then the crap you got loaned by the academy.

"Ah, your new, just passed did ya. Well take a look, and don't think you can use any ninja skills to sneak anything, im ex forces myself." a gruff voice said from behind a counter. He saw a large man sitting behind it, idly sharpening kunai and shuriken on a whetstone. He had a metal hand and an eyepatch. "Probably injuries that stopped him from being a shinobi." Naruto thought as he looked around. He saw the walls lined with weapons of war, everything from senbon to paper bombs. He did see another shinobi in the store, some adult with his face covered and some really spiky silver hair, the older man gave a quick look towards him with his single eye that wasn't covered by his headband and went back to browsing the gear.

Naruto walked over to the clothing section and had a look around, he picked up a new mesh shirt and some other items that looked good and went to a changing room. After a while he emerged and looked at himself in a mirror, he had gotten a new mesh shirt that he now wore, on top of that he had a black shirt with an orange flame over his heart, he also had a black jacket with a high collar over it, on the back it had that red swirl most shinobi gear had on it in the middle, orange lines spread out from it, one down to the end of the fabric, one up in the same manner and two to the sides leading down the arms.

He had black trousers with two symmetrical orange lines leading down on each leg, he had some tape strapping a new kunai and shuriken holster onto his dominant side, along with a bigger and better tools pouch above his rear. To fit with his new colors had some black shinobi sandals. He would see about getting the plate on his headband transferred to some black cloth too, he also took some inspiration from that ninja he saw in the store and got some gloves with a protective plate on them.

Naruto looked himself over and thought he looked good, he still had to keep the orange (best color there is ya know) but he definitely saw a difference from that kid who bought into Mizuki's bullshit and the ninja that was looking back at him.

Naruto walked over and got a basic booster pack of tools. Containing a set of kunai, two shuriken sets, a set of smoke bombs, paper bombs, a spool of ninja wire and basic field dressings. All for a lower price then them individually. He also grabbed a survivalist kit which contained things like a gas burner and tent (a must have when going out of the village)

He then took the items to the counter along with the price tags for his new clothes.

"Suiting up for active duty eh, anything else kid?" the man asked entering all the values of the items on his register. Naruto thought about it and looked behind the man to see a number of weapons on the all, not throwables like kunai but weaponry, katana's, odachi, wakizashi, tanto, even some things more exotic like a chain scythe, but what really caught his eye, was some paired ninjato but then he looked at the price and the cost of what he already had, he definitely didn't have enough what he had was about 83,500 yen (about £500) and he had only gotten 90,000 yen for his help with Mizuki. The owner looked at the swords and smirked and looked back at Naruto. "Yea those are a nice piece, but a little rich for your blood, right Naruto Uzumaki?" the owner said to him, Naruto's eyes widened as he never said his name.

"Don't worry kid, a lot of ninja know your name, after all I lost my eye and hand in the attack thirteen years ago. Lord Fourth placed a hard burden on you. And it's thanks to you, we all stay safe from that…thing. So take these, on me, a small token of my thanks. These are pretty beat up and not good for much, but with the level of missions you're gonna be doing for a while, you don't have to worry about any real threats, should help you get the hang of wielding them until you can get a proper pair of blades. Names Nagashi by the way." the now named Nagashi said as he put down some old wetherd ninjato on the counter. "That's 83,500 yen kiddo." Nagashi said as Naruto handed over the bills. "Thanks old man Nagashi." Naruto said smiling, putting a bunch of stuff in his backpack. He also handed over his headband on request, apparently the cloth used for them could change tone via chakra if you knew how, so he headband cloth was now tinted black as well.

"Hahaha. I'm not that old yet you little brat! You come back if you ever need gear, I pride myself on many repeat customers, from both quality at good prices and it keeping them alive in the field." Nagashi said as Naruto left.

Later at the Hokage tower

Naruto walked out of the Hokage office with his new ninja license, he had a side thought of showing up in kabuki war paint but on second thought that probably wouldn't look so great in an official capacity. He also ran into the old man's grandson who tried to stage a 'coup' by attacking the Hokage with a wooden toy shuriken, obviously it did nothing. He didn't want to get his nose stuck into the old man's personal business, besides he had new gear to train with.

As Naruto walked his way to a training ground near his apartment he saw someone.

Satsuki Uchiha.

Switching to Satsuki focus finally

Within the land a fire lay the first and maybe greatest of the hidden villages, the hidden leaf. three years ago another disaster befell this village Itachi Uchiha, a prodigy ninja not seen since the likes of Madara Uchiha, killed his entire clan. The only survivor was his younger sister, Satsuki, who saw her clan butchered like cattle. At the young age of ten.

Satsuki was…alone. After…after what happened nobody spoke to her, she guessed they didn't have the words to say or just wanted to give her space. Then after some time when he liked being alone, the parasites moved in, people wanting her clan's wealth (all left to her) or secret jutsu or the worst of all, poorly veiled attempts to marry into her clan. And it just made it worse. She had just graduated at the top of her class, perfect marks in everything and it made it worse. When she enrolled she dreamed of the day she came back, showed off her perfect score and headband and received praise from her mother, father and most of all. Him. but now all she came home to was a ghost town. What used to be a bustling clan district, was now a hollow shell, and a constant reminder of the sick creeping traumatic memories of the streets being filled with Uchiha blood and body's. She sometimes thought about going to see a therapist, a real good shinobi one. But she never did, they could never understand that pain. The pain of seeing those you love dead, and then finding your own brother who you adore to be the culprit and then to see them dying in a genjutsu. Over and over and over and over AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

The thing that kept her going, that stopped her just crawling into a ball and dying in spirit and will. Was the idea, the conviction to avenge the deaths of her family. Itachi had to die. No matter the cost.

As she walked around the village she turned and saw someone who she almost didn't recognize looking at him. Naruto Uzumaki, he seemed to have a bit of a makeover, it was definitely an improvement of that old orange jumpsuit that was a few sizes too small and was tearing at the seams. He also seemed to have two blades strapped across his back from the looks of it they seemed to be ninjato, and the scabbards seemed pretty beat up, probably some kind of poor quality wetherd blade he got on the cheap.

Naruto was someone she…well she didn't really know how to feel about Naruto to be honest with herself, he acted like an idiot most of the time, did terrible on tests and couldn't do basic ninjutsu to save his life, he was solid at physical activity but nothing to write home about.

But she saw a look in him sometimes, a look she also had but kept hidden, that they were alone, she had heard people mutter and spread rumors about how he had nobody, an orphan from the day he was born and how nobody liked him. Satsuki thought she had definity suffered more, having a family only to have it ripped away was worse then never knowing them at all. But she sympathized with him in some way, as he knew that dark abyss of loneliness just as much as she did. She would almost tolerate him if he wasn't a massive loser that got in her face and challenged her prodigy ability with his below average performance.

As their eyes met, they quickly left each other's gaze and went their separate ways.

Back with Naruto (I promise more bonding between them after team 7 forms and most certainly post wave)

Naruto found himself in a clearing with some training posts. First he took out his kunai and shuriken and gave them some throws at the posts, he definitely did not regret getting new gear, the tools were well balanced and easy to throw, they sharper and higher quality metal also priced the wood much for solidly and deeply then any previous tools he had used, he then took out another kunai, one with a textured grip, he only got one in his pack but it was meant for taijutsu use and not throwing, it fit perfectly in his hand as he slashed and cut at the post cleaving off shards of wood.

Naruto then got to the main event, he reached over his right shoulder and pulled both of his new blades out of their respective sheaths. He held them in his hands and got a feel for them and gave them a few practise swings, after getting a feel for the weight of the blade he got to swinging, he cut the post with no lack of ferocity or power but as he had no kenjutsu training the technique was sloppy, and for an outwards onlooker, had more holes then Naruto's academic knowledge. He tried to keep the 'pressure' up, keeping the blows constantly coming, an aggressive assault that was impossible to defend against forever.

After a while, Naruto remembered something. "Wait why am I using a post, I have something way better." Naruto smirked as put his swords away and formed a cross seal and with poof of smoke a shadow clone appeared before him.

"Yea its way more effective with both of us fighting each other." the clone said as both took their swords out. They entered some sort of stance (honestly it was just a stance Naruto thought looked cool) their blades clashed in a sloppy sword fight with the lack of refinement of the slashes both found it easy to doge some of the slashes and both were getting a feel for blocking a blow with their own blade and even parrying some particularly ill placed attacks.

Real Naruto decided to break the stalemate by throwing his offhand blade at his clone, as it deflected the throw, the original rushed the clone, now holding his single blade with both hands he swung and the clone barely had time to block by locking both blades with his creator. Original Naruto already had a plan in place as he swept the clones legs, grabbed his shirt with the free hand and slammed the copy to the ground hard and held his single blade to the clones neck.

"Ow. nice one boss." the fake blonde said as it poofed away from the hard impact. Suddenly Naruto understood the Second Hokage's warning about the memory aspect of his shadow clone jutsu, he was assaulted by another set of memories and experience of fighting himself, he got a major headache due to it but definitely felt like it helped, like he saw and understood his moves twice as well.

"Ahh. Well definitely don't want to do that with a load of clones but that's a really helpful feature, it's like I trained double the time, shame I can't physically train with them." Naruto said as he sat up and collected his discarded sword.

"Let's try something different." Naruto said as he smirked. And once again did a cross seal.

"Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto shouted as about a hundred Naruto's poofed into existence. He took up his swords as his clones took out copies of his gripped kunai.

"Come at me!" Naruto shouted to his copies as they charged in sloppy taijutsu and with the diminished ability of such a large number of clones Naruto cut through the copies one after the other but he had to dodge many blades and deflect just as many, he even threw his off sword normally killing one or two clones then fighting his way back to the blade, only to repeat the process again.

Later

Naruto panted as he sat down in what would be a blood soaked clearing if his clones had blood.

He gathered up any tool left lying around and started to walk home, he was starving.

Six days later at the academy

Naruto walked into his old classroom as Iruka-sensei told him too, he was definitely ready for some ninja missions, he had been going to training grounds and improving his skills, only taking a break yesterday to rest.

"Hey Naruto what the hell are you doing here you idiot! You didn't pass!" Sakura screamed at him as she stood up from her seat.

"Check it, got another test, got the forehead protector to prove it." Naruto said smugly, using his thumb to point to the metal plate.

"Whatever you're not gonna make much of a ninja anyway." Kiba said snidely he also got an affirmative bark from Akamaru and a look of reverence from Sakura and a bunch of other civilian girls.

"Yea whatever dog breath, when i'm Hokage you'll be eating those words." Naruto said sitting down in the only free seat, which sadly happened to be next to Satsuki. Naruto sighed as he sat down.

"Yea right, you Hokage? If anybody is going to be Hokage here it will be me or Satsuki-chan." Kiba said, rarely praising somebody other then himself but his slight leer at the raven haired girl betrayed his true reason for complimenting her. Which got a harsh glare off the girl, used to,but very much disapproving of Kiba's antics.

"Not gonna happen, while you may be the best in the class that will all change now we are real ninja, i'll surpass you, just wait and see." Naruto said sitting on the desk in front of Satsuki, challenging her with her confident gigawatt smile.

She just looked up at him with her normal uncaring stare. Only for the student in front of that desk to lean back in his chair and thus push Naruto on top of Satsuki.

Both fell down leading to the blonde looking down at Satsuki as he accidentally pinned her to the floor, both got lost in each other's eyes for longer then they would like to admit, Naruto in the genetic Uchiha pools of obsidian and Satsuki in the pure ocean blue, both snapped out of their stupor and both blushed for a moment before Satsuki face filled with shallow anger and he used both her legs to push him off.

Both sat up and turned to look at the student who had caused the blunder, getting cold hard anger from Satsuki and impatient and fiery anger from Naruto.

"Hahaha, sorry guys." the student said, turning around, finding his desk a much more interesting object to look at.

"Both of you are such losers." Satsuki growled as she pulled her collar up over the bottom half of her face, sat down and looked out the window. Naruto sat down too, planting his face on the table that such an uncool thing just happened, and with Satsuki of all people.

Many boys had jealous eyes on Naruto for such closeness with the most frigid yet desired girl in class and one girl had jealous eyes on Satsuki.

After a while to keep himself busy Naruto took out a kunai and started to mess around with it. After some more time and a few late arrivals, Iruka-sensei finally entered, now free of any bandages.

"Hello everyone, it's good to see you all, and well done to each of you for passing." Iruka said to the class, his gaze resting on Naruto with that last part.

"I will now read out for team assignments and you will wait here for your Jonin-sensei to collect you. But you have some time so grab some lunch and get to know your new teammates more." he continued Naruto kinda zoned out until he heard his name.

"Team 7, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno." Iruka started, well Sakura wasn't the worst thing to happen, so as long as they didn't get Kiba it should be fine, having her fawn over him all the time would be awful. Sakura however hid her head in her hands at the idea of being on the same team as the deadlast Naruto.

"And Satsuki Uchiha. Your sensei is Kakashi-Hatake" Iruka finished. "Oh for the love of the Kami!" Naruto thought. There were two people he didn't want to be on a team with, Kiba (especially with Sakura) and Satsuki and he got Satsuki, well he would just have to deal with it.

Sakura was of a different mind. She really looked up to Satsuki, she was really pretty, smart and strong but most of all she seemed to get Kiba-kun's attention yet had no interest in him, so she could learn how she attracted him by being on the same team as her.

The only other teams of note was team 8 with Kiba, Shino and Hinata (something Sakura was not happy with) and team 8 with Choji, Shikamaru and Ino. (Naruto wished he could swap with Ino honestly)

Naruto decided to go get some Ichiraku and come back later as Sakura would probably just yell at him and Satsuki would ignore him, not that he would invite her anyway.

With said two girls

Satsuki had gone off on her own, not really wanting to hang around with the rest of the class. Sadly it seemed Sakura didn't like that idea and had followed her and sat down with her on the bench.

"Hey Satsuki!" she said in a high pitched tone. "So I wanted to talk to you about Kiba-kun." Sakura said, scooching closer. "What about him?" Satsuki answered in an annoyed tone, really not wanting to have this conversation but not deciding to put up with it as she would have to get used to Sakura if they were on a team together.

"Well I wanted to ask about what you do to look good, what you wash your hair with, your soap brand, any makeup stuff like that? Kiba-kun always seems to pay attention to you and I want him to look at me like that." Sakura admitted to the other girl, a blush on her face.

Satsuki just turned and gave her a look that just projected so much confusion. "I don't do any of that stuff." she admitted, her will to live plummeting by the second.

"Yea right, come on between us girls." Sakura said not really picking up on Satsuki's lack of any knowledge or enthusiasm of the subject.

"I shower one or twice a day if I am sweaty from training, I wash my hair like a normal person and I use just soap, and I don't own any makeup!" she half shouted really wanting this to end.

"Oh…well nevermind then, it sucks we got stuck with Naruto huh. God he's annoying, I thought we got rid of him when he failed the test." Sakura said seeing Satsuki really didn't want to talk about fashion (she would discover her secret one day) so she switched to the other object of conversation in the newly formed team.

"Finally something we agree on." Satsuki thought. "Yes he can be quite…irritating." she simply said.

"It's because he wasn't raised right. No parents to teach him right from wrong so he acts like that. I know if I was anything like him my parents would come down on me. He's so selfish and a brat, always fighting with Kiba-kun like he is, shouting 'I'm gonna be Kokage, believe it!' I mean honestly could be more annoying but he doesn't have anyone to stop him, he's all alone, what a moron!" Sakura ranted, as she finished Satsuki stood up and kept her back to Sakura, trying really hard not to give into her urge to punch the other girl.

"Alone, isolated. You have no idea what it's like. At least he does." she said under her breath, her teeth gritting in anger at the words the other girl spoke.

"Satsuki, what are you saying?" Sakura said her ignorance not seeing she just bit a very soft spot for the rookie of the year.

"Go away. You may be even more annoying then he is!" she said turning back, a hatful look in her eye, only to turn and walk off.

"What was that about?" Sakura thought as her new teammate left.

"She has no idea! Talking about boys and makeup, we are Kunoichi for fuck sake. And taking her parents for granted like that, I know Naruto would do anything to know who his family is. And I, I would give my soul to see mine again, even if it was father comparing my skills to him and mom. There are so many things I would ask you, and want you to tell me. I miss you maybe most of all." Satsuki thought walking away, at the thought of her parents wandered into her mind, even her fathers stern coldness (that she had adopted) and her mother jokingly calling her an unladylike tomboy. She was even more of one now, not having the older women to help her with these things. Satsuki steadied herself on a high fence on an empty road, as tears fell, the memory of the two bringing back that night and the terrible genjutsu that is forever seared into her psyche. She sat down, clutched her knees to her chest as she tried to steady her breathing from the onset panic attack.

After lunch back in the classroom

It was official, Naruto already didn't like his new sensei and from Sakura's angry pacing she did too, and well, as normal Satsuki's expression betrayed nothing. They were the only students left in the room, Naruto didn't know how long exactly they had been sitting there but it was probably an hour or two now.

The normally hyperactive ninja decide to stop sitting around and to try and get this guy back for making them wait, he didn't have his normal prank supplies on him (bright paint, glitter and fart spray just to name a few) but something simple could work, looking around the room he didn't find anything that great so sadly he could only do an old caulk dust covered eraser on top of the door, not his best work but it was something.

"Naruto you idiot, our instructor is a jonin, do you really think he'd fall for that?!" Sakura shouted, displeased with his stupid trick. While Satsuki just huffed and looked away.

"I know it's not my best work, I don't have my usual gear to get him good." Naruto said as he sat back down and put his feet up, after only a few more minutes an older shinobi that Naruto vaguely recognized the one he saw in 'Certainty of steel' a few days ago opened the door, and had the eraser hit his gravity defying hair covering it in caulk dust.

"Well my first impression is…I hate you all. Meet me on the roof." he said as he vanished in a poof of smoke.

"Well, best get to it!" Naruto thought as the three of them left for the roof.

Ok imma call this one done here, thank you all for reading this next chapter and please stay tuned for the next one. Feel free to leave feedback in the comments.
