Dreams And Wishes
Chapter 11
My only hope is letting go.
You're a few years overdue
I spent them waiting here for you.
Prom night. I gave birth to a baby. That wasn't alive. A stillborn. There was nothing I could do to change the outcome. None of that helped me or Lucas. One minute we had this future in mind. In a matter of hours. It was over. Lomg story short. He found comfort and understanding in Peyton and i was left to deal with it alone. Eventually it got too much for me and i left town.
6 weeks Later
We take turns taking care of Larry. I sleep in one room. Lucas sleeps in another. We have baby monitors all over the place.
We take cues and actions from Larry. What he wants and needs.
Sometimes he just likes to be held.
When he's up. We are. When he sleeps. We take turns with that.
"I have to ask. I know now Peyton had her wishes."
"But what will he grow up to call the both of you.?"
"Let's take into account. The three of you have different last names.?" Karen questioned. When she came over to visit.
"I've lost track of time. I'm still wearing my pajamas."
"I can't really think about the future." Brooke replied.
As she scooped up Larry to go feed him.
When they went upstairs. Karen looked to her son.
"I think this whole situation is asking for stress confusion and trouble. I understand wanting to honor you're friend."
"But the two of you have you're own history. Difficult. Painful."
"Now you're just playing house. Trying to raise a child that doesn't belong to either of you."
"That is not how you saw you're life turning out." Karen said.
Lucas sighed deeply. "It isn't. But when has life ever gone the way you want it too? If she wanted the baby given away she would wrote that. Peyton entrusted us to raise Larry and we're going to do that." He replied.
