The knocking at the door came soon after the planning had finished.

I could almost hear and feel the pieces hidden in the loothouse stiffen. They were obviously going to be jumpy, having only had mere minutes to get ready for the inevitable battle in front of them.

Preparing them was always a drag, Rom was easy enough, as he doesn't fear his own mortality, but rather Felt's. Felt herself having the excuse of only being fifteen years old to hide behind, considering that she was being dragged into a battle with a particularly well known assassin with an obsession for bowels.

The same couldn't be said for the three stooges that I had been forced to employ against this particular enemy. They shouldn't piss their pants over something like this, they should have anticipated being in a situation like this when they chose to become criminals. And how could they complain? Really. They were getting paid for this.

Emilia being Emilia, obviously put her fears aside with the excuse of "doing good" by putting Elsa to justice. An admirable trait to have.

As for me. How could one not acclimatize to one's environment, especially when you've been faced with the exact same situation occurring for more than a hundred times, at the least.

I pulled the chair I'd been sitting on back, and made my way towards the door.

*Creaaak*

I slowly opened the old wooden door. The creaking seeming to make the others stiffen even further.

"Elsa Granhiert." I said to the person on the other side.

She stiffened almost imperceptibly. But years of assassinations across every nation makes you good at hiding it, and I doubted that anybody other than the most perceptive would notice it.

"Would you be so kind as to tell me how you know me, boy?"

I grinned at her. "You're late, the job is already over. I took care of it."

Elsa narrowed her eyes for a moment. "Oh? And would you like to explain what this 'job' was all about?".

"Having someone steal an insignia, then going to barter for it, and then killing everybody inside the loot house." I replied confidently.

Elsa's eyes widened.

Elsa sure liked to boast about things she shouldn't have when she'd won a battle. She was a treasure trove of information, and she gladly gave pieces of that treasure away after she'd had a hit of the high she loved: Bowels.

And that bit her in the ass every time she gave something away. Because I always used that information against her. Like right now, when I perfectly recited her mission objectives.

I stepped to the side of the door and threw an arm out. "Now come inside, I actually have a job of my own to do. Me doing you the courtesy of cleaning up after you was just to speed the process up. Mama doesn't really like to be kept waiting, does she?"

Elsa stiffened at the name "Mama". I didn't know much more about "Mama" other than her name. Only that Elsa heavily feared her. And that it could be used to throw her off her game and make her more erratic and unfocused for a short period.

Elsa hurriedly went inside. I closed the door after she walked inside, and turned to face her. I threw my hand out for a hand shake.

"Natsuki Subaru, one of mama's children."

Elsa slowly took my outstretched hand. "You already know of me but-"

I cut her off with a shout. "Minya!" I roared the spell out.

"Ow!" Elsa yelped. The hand that she'd taken mine in quickly crystallized into flaming purple shards.

Elsa tried to rip her arm away from me, but with the crystals having spread over her muscles, she lost the majority of her strength in the arm. I held her hand firmly while I reached beneath my cloak.

I pulled one of the knives I'd bought earlier out, and I stabbed it as hard as I could into her right eye socket. Elsa let out a shrill screech, probably more from surprise rather than pain.

She finally managed to rip out of my hand's grasp, taking a few steps back, before quickly tearing the knife out of her eye socket and throwing it to the ground. "You damn-!"

She failed to get her words out again. As a guttural roar came from behind her.

Elsa turned around, only to see a massive slab of wood in her vision. Rom had come up from behind her, and was currently in the middle of swinging his club down to smush the bowel hunter.

And smush her he did. The club hammered down into Elsa's head. It took less than a second for her head to cave into her torso, and then the rest of her body to cave into the floor.

Bits of Elsa flew out in every direction, the purple flaming crystals that had assimilated her arm joining into the blood and gore.

"She's not done yet! Back up!" I shouted out.

Rom hopped back from the pile of flesh that had joined with the destroyed floorboards. My prophetic words came true, as Elsa's body reformed after only seconds.

But she had no time to even pull her kukri's out, as immediately when she reformed, she was under attack, yet again.

"I'm finished!" Pucks voice rang out.

Elsa turned to the direction of the voice. And this time, instead of wood, saw a wave of ice headed straight for her. She only had the chance to take a step back before she was hit by the attack.

The wave carried her straight into a wall behind her. The ice now having split the loot house into two different sides.

The loot house stood quiet for a moment. But the ice eventually started cracking, lines running across it as Elsa struggled within.

The damage from her being crushed slowed the process down, immediately being hit by the ice attack slowed her down even further. But it wasn't enough.

The ice exploded outwards from the wall Elsa had been connected to.

Her eyes, usually bearing nothing but spine-chillingly cold blooded murder had transformed. Nothing of the freezingly seductive assassin remained, having changed to pure Wrath. Her eyes bore into mine.

"I love a good battle," Elsa started "But this is nothing other than cowardly tricks and deceit." Elsa was panting, the pure rage and quickly accumulating damage pushing her body into overdrive. "I will kill all of the disgusting rats in here, and then I will take my time with cutting your disgustin-"

"El-Huma!" Emila didn't let her continue. Poking up from one of the upturned tables in the back of the building to fire off a barrage of icicles.

Elsa was put on the backfoot again, being forced to dodge the icicles and slice the ones she couldn't get away from. She moved from side to side, but quickly gave up on holding her position, instead opting to use her speed and regenerative abilities to just straight charge towards Emilia.

Noticing her movements, I shouted out an order to the rest of the people hiding. "Pull it now!"

Elsa, having heard me and noticing something was wrong, tried to slow down, but it was already too late.

Rachins and Gaston popped up from two more upturned tables at my shout. Both on either side of Elsa as she charged, straining as they held something between them. Something Elsa had no time to get out of the way from.

Elsa's speed was her second biggest strength, just behind her regeneration. She was almost too quick to see sometimes, being able to cross small distances in a way that almost looked like teleportation.

So when she hit the wire held between the two thieves she was cut in half. Her upper and lower halves disconnected, letting all her blood and insides out as they slid across the floor to hit the far off wall of the loot-house.

Gaston and Rachins look ill at the sight, Rom and Emilia not taking it much better.

Elsa tried to say something but was unsuccessful as blood pooled in her throat. Only letting gurgles come through.

"Felt, Camberley!" I shouted out a new order.

Both came out from their own hiding places, quickly running over towards Elsa's upper half, who weakly tried to fend them off but who couldn't.

Felt and Camberley had their knives out as they reached her, sitting down on her arms to hold her down as they brought their weapons up. Felt had tears and snot running down her face at the gory display of Elsa, Camberely looking green as he sniffed and the smell of her insides reached him.

They brought the weapons above them and started stabbing. The knives went up and down in quick succession as the two stabbed deep into her chest and face with their blades. Only exacerbating the blood and gore already scattered around the loot house.

"Please! Just die already!" Felt screamed out, just wishing for it all to end.

Elsa was powerless against the assault, with both arms pinned, and no lower half to kick and struggle with, she could do nothing but try and weather the extreme assault as the two continued their stabbing.

But it wouldn't last forever. Her lower half was regenerating, but at a much slower pace compared to when it had first happened. A full minute of stabbing and she'd finally regenerated her lower half.

Camberley and Felt let out surprised squawks as Elsa acrobatically brought her legs up and kicked them both off of her. They were both flung away from the assassin as she moved up and into a kneeling position.

Her lower half hadn't taken any punishment as it regenerated, Felt and Camberely having focused on the more vital parts of the body instead of her abdomen and lower. But her face had, so her cut up face lacked eyes that were now regenerating.

I stood right in front of her, but she couldn't see me, so I held my open hand towards her face, and let out a calm "Minya".

The spear of flaming crystal struck straight into her cranium. Spearing into her brain. Elsa tried to rip out the slowly spreading crystal from her head. Grabbing chunks of skin and flesh and throwing it away.

Only when her entire head had crystallized did she stop moving, her body still in the kneeling position she'd been hit in.

The crystal spread and covered the rest of her.

I turned to shaking half-elf just a couple meters away. "Emilia, freeze her."

It didn't register with just that, I had to repeat the words three times before she jumped into action. Quickly jogging over to the crystalized body.

I'd done it. Elsa Granhiert, the Bowel hunter, was in front of me. Or atleast, her corpse.

Kneeling, covered in purple crystal, trapped inside a big chunk of ice.

It had taken hundreds of loops to find the right formula, chasing strategies and tactics that never lead anywhere. Bringing in more people than I'd wanted to, just to beat her. People that would steal a bit of the glory of having beaten her.

It didn't feel very rewarding. So much time and effort, just to have the statue of someone he'd once feared right in front of him.

But it sure felt good.

A sneer spread across my face. One I couldn't possibly have stopped myself from forming, and one that the other people around me would no doubt notice. But how was I supposed to stop myself from taking in as much Pride as I could. I deserved it.

Elsa Granhiert, someone so far above the strength of the people she was supposed to face in the loot house. Someone who was only ever backed into a corner when facing the strongest the world had to offer.

Was dead.

All at my hand.

"What did you say your name was?" A calm voice from beside me came.

I turned towards him and bowed. "Natsuki Subaru. Aspiring knight."

Reinhard smiled. "I want to thank you for the service you have done not only Emilia-sama, but also the entire kingdom of Lugunica by helping facilitate the downfall of the Bowel hunter." Reinhard patted my shoulder. "It is also good to know that a person of your capabilities will be joining the ranks of the knights. This achievement has all but guaranteed your position as future knight."

We were in the deepest part of the prison tower close to the royal castle. Not long after the defeat of Elsa, Reinhard had shown up, having sensed the use of magic and reports from some of the slum dwellers he'd arrived. After a bit of explaining, and parting with Felt, Rom, and the three stooges. While also recovering Emilia's insignia. Reinhard had invited Emilia and I to come and see Elsa be locked up.

While Elsa was technically dead. There was no telling if she could somehow still be alive and could break out of her double seal of Minya and ice cocoon. So, whatever state she was in, she would still be kept in the tower for safekeeping.

Reinhard continued. "I also brought you here to tell you that if you ever need anything, then I will help to repay the debt Lugunica owes you personally. As well as…" Reinhard reached into his clothing, pulling out a sack that clinked as it shook. He handed it to me. "This is the money from the bounty that was placed on the Bowel Hunters head. Since you defeated her, it is yours."

"Thank you, Reinhard."

A yawn from behind interrupted us. "Emilia-sama, it is far beyond the time we should have already set off back to the Mathers domain."

We had also picked up a pink haired maid along the way who'd introduced herself as Ram. Not in a single one of my loops had I ever seen her, and seeing as she was Emilia's maid, it made no sense as to why they'd split up.

"Ah! Yes, of course Ram." Emilia said from beside her. She still looked shaken up from the whole battle, but had calmed down considerably by now. She turned to me. "Subaru, I want to reward you for helping save me from Elsa, as well as helping me get my insignia back. So won't you come with to Roswaal's mansion?"

She looked a bit nervous. But I nodded firmly towards her. "

"It's been good to see you again, Emilia-sama, and good to meet you, Subaru-san. I wish you both safe travels."

With everything finally done in the capital. Beating Elsa and finally being able to move on in life. We set off.

At the stairs leading out of the dark and dank prison room. I turned back to gaze upon the statue of the enemy that had held me here for so long.

I gave her a last thought, as I slowly made my way up the steps.

"I win"

A/N

So, I've been on hiatus for a while.

I've been writing tiny pieces of this chapter over the couple months, and its way shorter than the rest of the chapters I've released so far.

It feels pretty shit to have taken this long, but I absolutely hated this work. The concept is good, and I could have done more with it. But as this is my first story, I messed up in several different ways that just made writing this into a chore.

My biggest gripe being that I chose to write this in first person view. Something that I realised only after having written the third chapter was a mistake. And I couldn't really just switch over that far in.

And I made a ton of writing mistakes that I learned of through more reading over time. Of course, its my first work, so I'm not going to blame myself for not knowing a lot of writing rules, especially for a persective that I don't have much experience in, whether it be writing or reading.

But I wanted to get the fifth chapter out though. Just to not leave it on the cliffhanger that was the final Elsa fight and finish arc 1 of the story. But with this, I will be dropping it. The concept is free for anyone to take if they wish, or even continuing off from where I left it. But I will be moving on to do other stuff concepts in the future and do those better than I did this one. Peace.
