The barrier between the supernatural and the human world was broken by Light Yagami.
Eva was so engrossed in her battle against him that, amidst the isolation of the area to protect the innocent, she didn't notice the exact moment he erected this barrier.
However, this was just one of the countless questions that haunted her mind. The intriguing figure of Light made her question more and more. Why would someone of such magnitude choose to live as a mere mortal?
Watching him for a day, seeing him attend school and learn like any other Earthling, her bewilderment only grew.
Eva realized that her information about Light was wrong, which made her even more confused and curious. How could he have become engaged to Lala Satalin Deviluke? Was it really her teleporting into his bathtub by mistake?
And speaking of Lala, Eva felt a debt of gratitude to her father. It was he who, intentionally or not, freed her from captivity where she was subjected to cruel experiments.
However, after her release, Eva had to forge her own path, which led her to become an assassin. She didn't regret her decision, but now bore the weight of having taken lives.
"Where are we going?" Eva asked.
She intended to call her spaceship, but given Light's promise to take care of her, her curiosity was piqued. Although she was independent, something in her wanted to trust him, even if just a little.
Light looked at her, a charming smile lighting up his face.
That smile evoked a peculiar sensation in Eva, making her heart race, even though she didn't understand why.
"We're going to my house," he replied. "But don't worry, there are many rooms available. You can choose any to settle in."
Eva hesitated, searching for words. "Thank you, Light Yagami-sama."
"Just Light is fine," he retorted. "No need for formalities. See me as an older brother and drop the honorifics. I'll do the same for you, Eva."
"... I'll try," she murmured.
With a mischievous smile, Lala approached and said, "She's blushing. How adorable~!", hugging Eva afterward.
"Adorable? Are you talking about me?" Eva's voice softened, and her blush deepened.
"What's wrong, Eva-chan?" Lala inquired, still wrapping her in her arms.
"It's just that... No one has ever said something like that to me before." Eva's voice lowered, and her usual stern expression noticeably softened.
"Really?" Light pondered the manga/anime he had watched. However, he found it hard to believe. "How has someone as adorable as you never heard that before?"
Eva hesitated. "I-I don't know," she admitted.
"Maybe people saw something different in you," Light suggested thoughtfully.
She wondered internally, 'Am I really adorable?' A pleasant feeling filled her.
Deep down, Eva was still a 15-year-old girl who had been forced to mature in a ruthless universe.
When Lala finally let her go, Eva stepped back a bit. Not that she didn't enjoy Lala's embrace, but being so close to someone made her feel vulnerable. Especially with someone as full of life, pure, and affectionate as Lala, who warmed her heart.
Almost everyone in the Milky Way knew that Lala was a kind-hearted, pure, and gentle young girl.
Seeing her in person, even knowing her reputation as "Golden Darkness", an assassin, Eva realized that Lala was willing to accept her, even going so far as to call her adorable and hug her.
Lost in her thoughts, Eva was interrupted by Light: "Eva, I know it might sound strange, but... I'd prefer you not use your Zodiac wings for now."
"Why?" Eva wondered. 'Did that voice in my head these past days really belong to him?'
"Well, it's to help a friend of his," Lala, who was aware of the situation, explained enthusiastically. "Light is trying to maintain the appearance of belonging to a peerage to help a friend escape an arranged marriage. It's a situation similar to mine. I really relate to this story~!"
Lala began sharing the details with Eva as they walked together.
Eva, while listening, observed Light forming a sort of barrier around them. It looked like a water bubble, but as they walked, the "bubble" followed them, moving automatically without obstructing them.
Noticing Eva's attentive gaze, Light explained, "This barrier? It's to ensure our voices aren't picked up. There are things best kept secret."
"I understand." For Eva, although it was a unique ability, it wasn't uncommon, and she assimilated the information with ease.

When Light appeared accompanied by a blonde young woman with shimmering red eyes, Himari was taken aback.
Asia observed the newcomer with an innocent and curious gaze.
"She's beautiful..." murmured Asia.
Eva, hearing the comment, cast a glance at Asia, who also had blonde hair but of a unique shade. Feeling flattered, her cheeks turned pink.
"Young master, who is this charming young lady?" Himari asked, a note of caution in her voice.
'Has he brought someone new to live with us?' Himari pondered internally.
She was right in her assumption...
"Consider her part of the family. Take good care of her, Himari. She will be living with us," Light clarified. "Her name is Eva."
"Family…" Eva repeated softly.
Himari shifted her gaze from Light to Eva and said, "So, you are Eva-chan? It's a pleasure. I'm Himari Noihara, friend, guardian, and girlfriend of Light. Nice to meet you!"
Himari's introduction was a bit more extensive than usual, perhaps revealing more than necessary. However, no one commented on it.
Eva, in turn, raised an eyebrow upon hearing the introduction. Casting a glance at Lala and noticing her smile, Eva responded calmly when looking back at Himari: "The pleasure is all mine."
"Let me show you the rooms!" Lala exclaimed enthusiastically. "Come, Eva-chan!"
"Thank you, Princess Lala," replied Eva. Although she maintained a serene expression, her voice had a soft and melodic tone, like a subtle song that soothes the listener.
"Don't worry, it's all good~" Lala replied, keeping her characteristic upbeat tone.
As Lala and Eva moved away, Himari approached Light with a mischievous look. "Young master, it seems you have a special talent for attracting women. Every day, a new lady seems to be enchanted by you. Even with such a spacious house, soon all the rooms will be occupied by your guests!"
"It's a possibility…" Light pondered.
"So you agree?" She gave him a mockingly indignant look, but there was a playful gleam in her eyes. Moving closer, she challenged.
"Would you prefer I'm not honest?" Light replied with a charming smile. Without hesitation, he leaned in and sealed their lips, wrapping her in an embrace.
Himari surrendered to the kiss, losing herself in the familiarity and passion. Light's skill in kissing her, combined with the way he touched her, made her let out a soft sigh.
"Did you like it?" Light whispered teasingly.
She responded with an intense gaze, "Loved it..." Her eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Asia, who was still in the room, watched the scene with blushing cheeks. She seemed a bit flustered, emitting soft sounds of surprise.
Himari, noticing Asia's presence, tried to mask her embarrassment. But the passion between them was evident, and she could hardly wait to be alone with Light.
"Actually, Himari, I have one more surprise. I need to step out for a moment," Light interrupted.
"You're not telling me it's to fetch another woman?" Himari questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Sharp!" Light laughed, showing no sign of remorse. "But it's better to explain when she arrives. I'll be back soon."
Before Himari could reply, Light was enveloped by a magical circle that appeared and vanished in an instant. In the brief moment the circle was visible, Himari could identify symbols resembling the 12 zodiac signs, but she couldn't discern more details.
"He left so quickly..." murmured Asia, regretting not having had the chance to talk to him.
"He should be back soon," Himari replied with a sigh.
Deep down, she hoped that her young master's next guest wouldn't be problematic...
