"Rescuing two people in a single day... Am I becoming some sort of savior now?" Light murmured with a hint of sarcasm, before letting out a restrained laugh. "This really made up for the points I spent turning them into members of my zodiac!"

With a joyful spin in the air, Light celebrated his decision to fly back. Had he opted for teleportation, he would regret missing out on the chance to accumulate valuable points.

"I need to know more about this woman. Perhaps she can take up a CEO position in my company or, at the very least, hold a significant role."

It made sense for Light to have those he transformed working by his side. They were intrinsically loyal, allowing him deeper influence over their lives. Moreover, the transformation granted wisdom that surpassed typical human understanding.

Misa, for instance, displayed sharp acumen after her transformation. While the change in Himari and Lala wasn't as noticeable, given their non-human nature from the start, humans, with their physical and mental limitations, usually took longer to adapt and reach their full potential.

It's like putting a prodigy and a novice side by side, challenging them to complete the same task with identical resources and time.

Without interference, the prodigy's victory is practically guaranteed.

Upon arriving home, Light is greeted by Himari, Lala, Asia, and... Eva.

"Young master, would you like something to eat? I prepared a special afternoon snack," Himari offered with a seductive smile, helping him off with his coat.

"No, Light promised to play with me today!" Lala intervened, her voice full of enthusiasm.

"He committed to training with me," Eva countered, her voice calm and confident.

Asia hesitated, seeming to want to speak up, but chose silence.

"Has Misa not returned yet?" Light inquired, looking around.

"Oh, it would be a relief if she never showed up again," Himari replied with a tone of disdain.

"What happened now?" Light questioned, sensing the tension.

"Nothing specific. I just can't stand her," Himari admitted.

"All I ask is that you respect me and tolerate her presence," Light pondered.

"I understand, but it's not a simple task," Himari sighed, clearly frustrated.

There was something about Misa that Himari just couldn't tolerate, a spark that deeply irritated her.

Sensing the tension, Light decided to change the course of the conversation. "First, I'll eat. Then, I'll take a bath and train with Eva. And, Lala, we'll play together afterward."

He then turned his attention to Asia, who remained silent. "Asia, I've arranged everything. Starting tomorrow, you'll join us in our studies. And you too, Eva."

Eva, surprised, pointed to herself. "Me?" She paused, her voice always calm and confident. "Studying isn't exactly what I had in mind. I'd rather spend my time in the library, immersed in books."

"In school, you can do both. Interacting and socializing are also valuable forms of learning," Light argued.

Eva reflected for a moment before reluctantly agreeing. "Alright, I'll give it a shot."

"Great." Light smiled, gently patting Eva's head. She blushed slightly but didn't pull away, clearly appreciating the gesture.

True to his word, after the meal, Light refreshed himself with a bath. Then, he and Eva activated the card that took them to the special training room, where a year of practice awaited them.

"Light-sama," Eva began, her voice calm and thoughtful, after assessing the environment around her. "Is there a library in this place? You mentioned that the scenery can be changed at will. Would it be possible to create a space filled with books?"

Light, slightly surprised by the request, replied, "Yes, I can do that. However, you'll have to split your time between reading and training with me."

"I agree to the terms," Eva nodded, recognizing the need to master and control the power she now held as a Zodiac Goddess.

With a gesture, Light transformed the space into the Devils' underworld library and explained, "Accessing information from the human world is simple, but those from the underworld are rarer. See if these volumes meet your expectations. If you prefer, I can adjust the selection."

Eva, with eyes sparkling with curiosity, replied, "No, this is exactly what I was looking for."

She intuited that information from the underworld might be more valuable than that from the human world. However, once outside the training room, Eva still intended to explore human world literature. Her thirst for knowledge only intensified since she left her life as an assassin.

The introduction of the library brought a slight time acceleration, marking (1.2). Although it was only an increment of 0.2, it remained within a comfortable limit.

Reflecting on the situation, Light pondered, 'Considering everything, using this space to acquire knowledge might be a smart strategy. Perhaps I should take more advantage of this.'

Casually, he picked up a book about the mysteries of the underworld and began to read. His eyes moved swiftly across the pages, absorbing information with the efficiency of someone scanning images.

Within a minute, he had finished his reading and was ready for the next volume.

Eva, on the other hand, read at a slightly more moderate pace. She was somewhat surprised to observe Light's reading speed. Knowing her own capability, she recognized his superiority in this aspect. There was no doubt in her mind that he was genuinely absorbing the content; his eyes reflected the depth of his understanding.

The standard time pace in the special training room is (1.0). However, when adapting the environment for training, there was a slight increase to (1.1). The library, with its wealth of information, demanded a slightly higher temporal rate than an extremely cold environment.

As they prepared for the duel, Eva noticed a transformation in Light, specifically in his wings. Previously, they boasted fewer luminous ribbons, which extended majestically, surpassing hers in length. Now, however, there were at least eight shimmering ribbons on each side, becoming a dazzling visual spectacle.

'Has he evolved?' It was the most logical conclusion.

When the clash began, Eva quickly realized that Light had, indeed, become more formidable. Even if he wasn't using his full potential against her, the magnitude of his power was evident, and his attacks carried renewed gravity and strength.

Eva, with her enhanced agility, maneuvered through the air in erratic patterns. Her hands, transformed into sharp claws, repeatedly collided with Light's unprotected fists.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! ...!"

To a common observer, it would seem like a series of fireworks exploding in rapid succession, creating a dazzling visual spectacle. However, those with sharper perception would recognize that these were, in fact, shockwaves resulting from the fierce confrontation between the two.

'She's at the level of an Ultimate-Class Devil...'

Light pondered, recognizing that Eva was not yet using all her power. He realized that, like him, she was testing and adapting to her new strength. This made her attacks less brutal but more elegant and precise.

Upon their return, attentive observers would notice different nuances in Eva.

'She seems closer to the young master now...' Himari reflected with a sigh.

It wasn't surprising. Despite Eva's serene and detached demeanor, she still possessed human feelings. Having lived in the shadows and then spent almost a year alongside Light, it would be strange to Himari if Eva didn't show some growing affection for him.

A more evident transformation in Eva was the sense of 'freedom' she now exuded, similar to what Himari felt. Himari felt free from the constant threat of transforming into a demonic form, losing lucidity, and risking being destroyed by those who controlled her, as had happened to her ancestors.

'What was binding her before?' Himari pondered about Eva. Knowing how personal and sensitive this topic could be, as she herself was reluctant to discuss her own history, Himari kept her curiosity to herself.

"Light, now it's my turn! Let's play!" Lala exclaimed, grabbing his arm with enthusiasm.

"Sure, let's go." Light agreed, allowing Lala to lead him to the living room couch.

Eva, in turn, chose a seat on the couch, positioning herself on Light's side while Lala occupied the other side of him.

The unusual closeness of Eva to Light did not go unnoticed, confirming Himari's suspicions.

Asia, in turn, observed with a hint of surprise. She had yet to experience the special training in the room with Light.

'It must be a unique experience...' A feeling of envy surfaced in her chest.

However, she quickly suppressed that feeling. After all, she should be grateful for everything Light and the others had done for her. Being greedy wasn't an option...

Seeing Lala select Freddy Krueger in the game, a thought crossed Light's mind: 'Is there a skill that allows me to enter someone's dreams?'

If such a skill existed, he would certainly find a creative way to use it...

Skill: "Shared Dream"

Description:

The "Shared Dream" skill allows the user to enter the dreams of others, exploring their deepest thoughts, fears, desires, and memories. Additionally, the user can invite others to the same dream, creating a network of interconnected dreamers. Within this shared dream, participants can interact with each other, face challenges together, and even alter the dream's reality.

Limitations:

Limited Duration: The skill can only be used for a maximum period of 8 hours. After that, all participants wake up automatically.

Risk of Imprisonment: If someone dies within the shared dream, they won't die in real life, but they will be trapped in the dream for an additional 24 hours.

Limited Control: The user doesn't have full control over the dream. Unexpected elements may arise, especially if the dreams of multiple people are interconnected.

Mental Resistance: People with strong mental resistance or mind-related magical abilities may be able to resist or expel invaders from their dreams.

Seeing the cost of '200 Destiny Points' for the skill, Light briefly pondered. 'For this skill... It seems worth trying...' A subtle smile curved his lips as he confirmed the purchase, instantly integrating the skill into himself.

'This promises to be fun...'

"Light, make up your mind!" Lala urged, her voice vibrant with excitement.

"Ah, right." Distracted from his thoughts, Light quickly selected a character of his choice.

Destiny Value: 60,560

'I'm still well-stocked. And interestingly, even when I spend, somehow, I always manage to recover what was spent...' Light reflected.

As for the skill he had just acquired, he would have to wait until night to test it. 'Speaking of which, where is Ryuk?'

Extending his divine perception, Light noticed that Ryuk was leisurely savoring apples and watching TV in one of the rooms.

"Speaking of which, has anyone met the new person living with us?" Light inquired, while handling the game controller.

"Are you referring to Ryuk-san?" Himari asked, already anticipating the answer, and continued, "He introduced himself earlier while you were out. For now, I've placed him in one of the vacant rooms. Is everything alright, young master?"

"Perfect, you acted correctly." Light gave her an approving look.

Himari returned with a radiant smile, and then, as if remembering something, remarked, "Ah, Ryuk-san took the entire basket of apples."

"Don't worry about it," Light replied with a carefree nod, "I'm financially stable now. We can easily restock and even afford some indulgences. Later, we'll make a trip to the supermarket."

Himari's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. "That's wonderful, young master! I was about to mention that our supplies are running low."

"Good to know," Light pondered, "So, we'll all make that trip together. It would be convenient to have a car for such occasions..." He paused, reflecting. "But then again, there are delivery services available."

Himari nodded, considering the idea. "A car... Yes, it could be useful."

"I'll consider that option," Light replied, contemplative.

Even though he was too young to legally drive, mundane rules didn't necessarily apply to him.

Eva, who was listening to the conversation, chimed in: "We can use my spaceship if you want."

Light turned to her, a playful smile on his lips. "Ah, that's right! I had forgotten about that little detail. It seems we'll be counting on your help later, Eva."

She nodded, and for a brief moment, a shy, almost imperceptible smile lit up her usually impassive face.

The brief glimpse of emotion in Eva disappeared as quickly as it appeared, like a shooting star in the night sky.

Himari, silently observing, reflected: 'She's really opening up to the young master...'
