As the ice monster raised its massive icy claws to strike again, Steve Rogers sprang into action. He charged forward, his shield held high, and slammed it into the monster's face, causing the creature to roar in pain and stagger backward.
Steve made his way over to the block of ice, where Tony Stark was encased. He studied it for a moment, trying to figure out the best way to free his friend. At first, he tried using his strength to break the ice, but it was too thick and too frozen solid for him to do anything.
Thinking quick, Steve took out a small explosive device from his utility belt, carefully placed it around the ice block, and stepped back. With a loud boom, the ice exploded into a million shards, leaving Tony lying on the ground, unconscious.
Without a moment's hesitation, Steve scooped the billionaire up in his arms and carried him out of harm's way. He ran as fast as he could, dodging the ice monster's attacks until they were safe.
Hours later, Tony slowly began to awaken. He groaned, twisting his head in confusion before he realized where he was. "Stark," Steve said, dropping to his knees next to him. "Are you okay?"
Tony blinked again, trying to make sense of what had happened. "I'm...I'm alive," he said groggily. "But how?"
Steve smiled, relieved that his friend was awake. "I got you out of there," he said, holding out a hand to help Tony up. "I couldn't just leave you there to die."
Tony stood, still a bit shaky, and looked at Steve with gratitude. "Thanks," he said, his voice hoarse. "I owe you one."
Steve shrugged, waving a hand dismissively. "It's what friends do," he said. "Let's get out of here before that thing decides to come back."
