Before I begin this chapter, I had a thought of which video game characters would be under the super boss. My thoughts are the playable characters of Primal Rage, but there are other video game characters that fits that category nicely, but I don't mean any Final Fantasy, but if you got an idea, be sure leave your opinions in the reviews or PM me. After taking out the Bolse Defense Outpost, Sora, Kairi, the Star Fox Team, Pikachu, and Angel sat around, going over their next mission. General Pepper makes contact with the Great Fox.
"Excellent job in your battle on Bolse, but the war isn't over yet. Andross's forces has just captured one of our bases located on Fortuna. We need you to recover our base from the enemy army," General Pepper said.
"Roger that, General. We'll get right on it right away," Fox said.
"I know I can count on you, Star Fox. Pepper out," General Pepper said, breaking contact.
"Okay, girl and guys, we're off to work again," Fox said.
"On it!" Sora said.
Sora, Kairi, Star Fox, Pikachu, and Angel head for the Arwings and heads down to Fortuna to begin their assault on Fortuna.
"Split up and take it to 'em!" Fox said.
"On it!" Sora said.
Enemy fighters flew in and launched a counterattack.
"You're dead meat, pal!" Falco exclaimed. Falco shoots at the fighter until it bursts into flames and crashed. "Scratch one bogey!"
"I got you now!" Slippy said, shooting at one. A Darkball came and charged right at Kairi, but she shot it down before it could hit her.
"You're not going to get me that easily," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
As the battled raged on, Slippy noticed that ships were flying out of the base.
"Why are ships coming out of the base?" Slippy asked.
"Yeah, what's with them?" Sora asked.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
ROB made contact with the Arwings.
"A bomb has been planted at the base," ROB said.
"A bomb?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Geez! Can't anyone take care of it?" Fox asked.
And then, Star Wolf intercepted their communications and attacked.
"Can't let you do that, Star Fox," Wolf said.
"Andross ordered us to blow you into dust," Leon said.
"Looks like we get another chance at our reward," Pigma said as he snorted.
"It's time for revenge!" Andrew said.
"Star Wolf again?!" Kairi exclaimed.
"They don't give up, do they?" Sora asked.
"No, they don't. And neither do we. We'll have to take care of them before we take out the bomb," Fox said.
"Right!" Sora and Kairi said as they fired at the Wolfens. The Wolfens fired back at the Arwings. They managed to take them down, one-by-one.
"This can't be happening!" Leon exclaimed.
"Uncle Andross!" Andrew cried.
"My beautiful reward!" Pigma shouted.
"I... Can't... Lose!" Wolf roared.
"That takes care of those guys!" Sora said.
"Yes, but the bomb is still a problem," Peppy said.
"Leave that to me! I'll take care of the bomb now!" Fox said, flying in the base.
"Be careful, Fox," Kairi said.
Fox jumped out of his Arwing and he heads right for the bomb. A Bulk Martian appeared to attack him.
"Get out of the way!" Fox shouted as he fired at the Bulk Martian, taking it out. Space Invaders appeared and Fox shot down any that tried to stop him. Once the last of the Heartless were destroyed, he found what he was looking for. "Better take this thing out." He took out a kit and used it to deactivate the bomb before it could blow up. "Fox to team! The bomb's out of commission! Mission complete!"
The Arwings leaves Fortuna, saving the base from being destroyed.
"We made it," Slippy said.
"You should take it easy, Fox," Peppy said.
"That was a close call, Fox," Falco said.
"That was pretty crazy," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"It was. I actually thought you were going to be done for," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Everyone back to the Great Fox. Andross isn't finished yet," Fox said.
With that said, the Arwings flew back to the Great Fox and prepared for their next mission. Slippy detected something going on in Sector X.
"Guys, I got something," Slippy said.
"What is it, Slip?" Fox asked.
"Okay, there's word that Andross is working on some secret weapon," Slippy reported.
"Where is it?" Peppy asked.
"It's in Sector X," Slippy said.
"Then, we'll have to check it out," Fox said. Sora, Kairi, Star Fox, Pikachu, and Angel rushed to the Arwings and launched themselves into Sector X to begin the investigation. The sector had some space stations stationed inside. Andross's forces came to "welcome" them, so one of the Arwings shot down one.
"Okay, fearless leader, awaiting orders," Sora said.
"Let's take out that weapon, boys and girl," Fox said.
"Let's have a little fun!" Falco said.
"I'm down with that," Kairi said.
"Stay alert! They won't let us get to the weapon that easily," Peppy said.
They flew their Arwings through Sector X, taking out any fighter that came right at them. Sora and Kairi shot them down when they got too close. One flew incredibly fast, surprising the group.
"What was that?" Sora asked.
"He's fast! Stay alert!" Peppy said. A bunch of fighters were coming up behind the Arwings.
"Enemy group behind us! Man they're fast!" Falco exclaimed.
"That could only mean that we're getting close to the base!" Peppy said. The Arwings flew past the space stations and saw the wreckage that was left behind.
"Somebody beat us here! It's all gone!" Falco said.
"No way," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
Robot wasps came and attacked the Arwings only to be destroyed as they kept going. They saw more wreckage.
"What the heck is that?!" Falco exclaimed.
Peppy ends up being chased by enemy ships.
"They're on me! I'm getting careless!" Peppy exclaimed.
"Hold on, old man! I'll help you!" Fox said.
"We'll help you, Peppy!" Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, and Peppy shot them down, saving the old rabbit.
"That was close. Any longer, I wouldn't live to see retirement," Peppy said.
"We're just glad you're okay," Kairi said.
"Interception system dead ahead," Slippy said.
The space stations opened fire on the Arwings as they flew. They fired at the weapons shooting at them and the enemy fighters coming at them.
"Where is the secret weapon?!" Peppy exclaimed.
"It should be around here somewhere," Slippy said.
"Not helpful, Slip," Falco said.
"It might not just show up in front of us, so just keep shooting at anything shooting at us!" Sora said.
"Don't have to tell me twice!" Falco said.
"I'm going ahead. Fox, Sora, Kairi, back me up," Peppy said.
"Right," Fox said.
Peppy flew on ahead of them as they kept looking around. Sora, Kairi, Fox, Pikachu, and Angel looked around for any other signs of the secret weapon.
"Okay, it Slippy said it should be around here somewhere, and I'm not seeing it," Sora said.
"Keep your eyes open. It'll show up at any second," Fox said.
"What the heck?! Fox, Kairi, Sora! Look behind you!" Falco exclaimed.
Just then, three vessels came flying above the Arwings. It formed into a giant fighting robot with two vessels forming into arms.
"So this is the secret weapon," Fox said.
"Destroy! Destroy!" The weapon said.
"Slippy, is there a weakness on this thing?" Kairi asked.
"I'm bringing it up now," Slippy said, sending in the information. "Just shoot at its face and you would disable it!"
"Got it!" Sora said.
Sora, Kairi, and Fox opened fire on the massive machine.
"You are an enemy!" The weapon said, attacking by swatting at them like flies and firing its fists at them. "Where is the creator?!"
"What's it saying?" Fox asked.
"You are an enemy!" The weapon said as Sora, Kairi, and Fox kept shooting at its face, taking it out.
"Yippee! You did it!" Slippy cheered.
"We sure did! We make quite a team!" Sora said.
"True, but something's not right," Kairi said. The weapon then kept on attacking the Arwings.
"Huh? What?!" Fox exclaimed.
"The view is clear," the weapon said.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me!" Sora exclaimed.
"Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! Destroy!" The weapon repeated, throwing debris at the Arwings.
"Destroy what? This thing's crazy!" Falco said.
"Crazy or not, take it out!" Kairi said.
"Kairi's right. Don't let it keep going!" Fox said as he and the rest fired right at the weapon right until it couldn't handle any more fire power.
"I must be complete!" The weapon said before exploding.
"One less weapon for Andross to use against us," Peppy said.
"All aircraft report!" Fox ordered.
"I'm fine, I'm fine!" Slippy said.
"I saw my life flash before my eyes!" Peppy said.
"Ah, you're getting better, Fox. You too, Sora, Kairi," Falco said.
"That was some ride," Sora said.
"A blast," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Everyone made it back to the Great Fox and relaxed a bit after that stressful mission. But as soon as they returned, Slippy gets something on his device. He checked it.
"Hey, guys, I'm picking up something," Slippy said.
"What is it, Slippy?" Sora asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"I don't know what it is, to be honest, but it looks like it's coming from Titania," Slippy said.
"Titania?" Kairi asked.
"Titania's a desert planet, closest to Venom. Hardly anyone even goes there since life there has been dead for millions of years. But Andross's forces has been going there in order to harvest some raw materials that they can still use," Peppy explained.
"If I have to guess, it might be for weapons of mass destruction to use against us," Sora said.
"You would guess right, sonny," Peppy said.
"Not if we take some off their hands first," Slippy said. The rest of the Star Fox team looked at the young frog like he was crazy.
"Are you out of your mind, Slippy? Andorss's Army might spot your Arwing a mile away coming down. And not to mention, those things could be with them and they'll eat your Arwing for breakfast!" Peppy said.
"Well, we're not going to get anywhere by sitting on our seats and do nothing about it," Slippy argued.
"Although I have to agree with Peppy on this one. It's too risky, but you're right, too, Slip. We'll be sending you in, but it's only to observe and report, but turn on your cloaking device just so they won't know you're there. But if there's even the slightest hint of trouble, then get out of there as fast as you can," Fox said.
"Don't worry about me, Fox. I'll be careful," Slippy said. He heads off to his Arwing and he flew it right towards Titania. Once he made it to the planet's atmosphere, he activated his cloaking device to avoid detection from Andross's forces. "Slippy to Great Fox. I made it!"
"We hear you loud and clear, Slip. What's your status?" Fox asked.
"So far, it's quiet...too quiet. The cloaking device works better than I thought it would," Slippy said. Everyone all smiled, hearing Slippy's made it through without any problems.
"I have a feeling Bentley would get along with Slippy so well," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Don't pat yourself on the back yet, Slip. That was only the easy part. Now we get to the hard part. Find out what you can, but be careful not to let anyone see or you're done for," Fox said.
"On it, Fox," Slippy said. On the planet's surface, he searches for any signs of Andross's Army and he saw that they are some giant bug-like robots across the desert planet. "I was right. It's Andross, alright. Better have a closer look before I tell the guys." He searched for any other signs, indicating a weapon or any Heartless around. Luckily for him, there weren't any, but there was something else. Somehow, it picked up on Slippy's scent and attempts to grab him. "Whoa!" He makes contact with the Great Fox again. "Slippy to Great Fox! There's something here!"
"What is it, Slippy?" Fox asked.
"It's some kind of monster! I don't know how, but it knows I'm here!" Slippy said.
"Get out of there, Slippy!" Fox said. Slippy screamed from his end. "SLIPPY!"
"Slippy!" Sora and Kairi gasped.
""Fox, Peppy, Falco, Sora, Kairi, help me!" Slippy cried.
"Hold on, Slip! We'll get you out of there!" Fox said.
"Fox, no!" Peppy said, trying to stop him. "It's too dangerous down there!"
"I don't care! Slippy's down there and we can't leave him behind!" Fox argued.
"Fox is right. Slippy's one of us, and if it was us who got caught in a sling with something, he would risk his little green butt for us," Falco said.
"Not only that, Slippy's been with me ever since my father died, so I'm not going to lose my friend the same way I lost my father," Fox said.
"I agree," Peppy said. "James McCloud would risk his neck for me, and another member of Star Fox isn't going to die on my watch! Not again!"
"Then, let's get a move on! Slippy needs us!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"How are we going to do it?" Sora asked.
"Sora, Kairi, you're with me in the Landmaster. Peppy, Falco, you take the air," Fox said.
"Works for me," Falco said.
"Star Fox team! Move out!" Fox ordered. With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel joined Fox in the Landmaster once again as the Great Fox heads right in the planet's atmosphere. "Deploy the Landmaster!" The Landmaster deploys from the Great Fox as Peppy and Falco flew in theirs Arwings.
"Here we are, in the Landmaster again," Sora said.
"Keep your eyes opened, Sora, because there could be Heartless around," Kairi said.
"She's right, Sora. I know you can protect the Landmaster just like you did before," Fox said.
"So how's being grounded treating you?" Falco asked.
"Why don't you come on down and try it, Falco?" Fox dared Falco.
"No thanks. Personally, I prefer the air," Falco said.
"You and every other bird," Sora said under his breath. Kairi, Fox, Pikachu, and Angel chuckled under their breaths.
"I heard that!" Falco snapped.
"Okay, okay, let's get serious. ROB, gimmie Slippy's location," Fox said.
"Lifeform indicated at 12 o'clock," ROB said.
"And that's where we're going," Fox said.
"Just be careful down there, and Falco, don't go too fast!" Peppy said.
"Whatever you say, old man," Falco said.
"Don't get smart with me, boy," Peppy said.
"Hey, who are you fighting? Andross or each other? Why don't the both of you cool it up there?" Sora asked.
"Sora's right. We gotta find Slippy," Fox pointed out.
"Fine. There's some roxky terrains up ahead," Peppy said.
"A magnetic storm! We'll search here!" Falco said.
"That's where Andross's army would be hiding in, right?" Kairi asked.
"Most likely. Keep your eyes peeled, all of you," Peppy said.
Fox drove in the Landmaster as Falco and Peppy flew in the Arwings, flying above the Landmaster. Fox was shooting at some bug-like craft, knowing they were with Andross's army when Falco spotted several enemy fighters flying in.
"Enemy fighters dead ahead!" Falco said.
"Our priority is to protect Fox and the kids! Shoot down anything that tries to get past us!" Peppy said.
"Tell me something I don't already know," Falco said.
Falco and Peppy shoots down any fighters that came at them. Several Heartless came and attacked, so Sora and Kairi stepped out and dealt with the Heartless that attacked. The Landmaster kept on firing at the fighters and the Heartless when they were greeted by some enemy tanks.
"These guys must be the welcoming committee," Kairi said.
"Let's let them know how honored we are," Fox said, shooting at the tanks, destroying them.
Falco and Peppy keep on being overwhelmed.
"These guys just keep coming," Falco said.
"Incoming!" Peppy exclaimed. The Arwings keep on firing at the enemy army right until the squad were completely destroyed. "Don't be dead, Slip." The Landmaster kept on riding and firing at the enemy army as it plowed through the desert planet. They made it through a canyon when several machines hurled some rocks their way, but Kairi uses her gravity magic to send the rocks back, destroying the machines. "You okay?"
"Just fine, Peppy. Just gotta find Slippy," Fox said.
"I know. It's just a little further," Peppy said.
They kept looking for the young frog until they heard a very familiar scream not too far from them.
"Aah! I'm hit!" Slippy cried.
"Slippy!" Kairi said.
"Is that you, Slippy?" Fox asked.
"Hold on, Slip! I'll be right there to get you!" Falco said.
"Slippy!" Fox called out.
"Slippy, where are you?" Sora asked. They spotted Slippy's Arwing, caught in what looks like a strange tree.
"I knew you guys would come and find me," Slippy said.
"We couldn't just leave you, Slip. You're one of us," Fox said.
"Fox, do something to get me out of here!" Slippy said.
"Okay, I'm gonna shoot you out," Fox said, firing at the tree, but it moved around with Slippy in its hold. It turns out that it's a clawed tentacle that grabbed him. The tentacles moved about like crazy and attempts to crush the Landmaster, so Fox rolls it to avoid the tentacles. The owner of the tentacles turns out to be a giant, alien monster.
"What is that?!" Sora exclaimed.
"I don't know, but we won't let it get away with grabbing Slippy!" Fox said.
"Take out its arms, Fox!" Peppy said.
"Fox!" Slippy exclaimed.
Fox shoots at the monster's arms as it swings them at the Landmaster and fires red lasers at them.
"Slippy, what are you doing? Hurry up!" Falco said.
"It's impossible this way!" Slippy exclaimed. Fox keeps firing at the plant monster, making it let Slippy go. "I made it! I'll analyze right away!" Slippy proceeds to bring up the information on it. "I got it! Shoot at the chest!"
Fox open fire on its chest, as it attempts to defend itself, but its efforts are in vain as it fell on the ground and died from from its wounds.
"You got it," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"All aircraft, report!" Fox ordered.
"I thought I was a goner," Slippy said.
"We're always saving your hide, Slip," Falco said.
"I'm sure he learned his lesson," Peppy said.
"Everyone back to the Great Fox! We're done here," Fox said.
With that said, the Arwings and the Landmaster returned to the Great Fox to plan their mission, but they knew the battle against Andross continues.
