Inkaliber: Hey everyone. I know you were expecting an update to the story, for that I'm sorry. For a long time I've enjoyed this story and the ideas I began to come up with for it. Over all this time, however, I've found that my love for the story as it is has dropped dramatically. Because of that, in spite of the new follows and favorites, I am putting this story on indefinite hiatus.
Team Rocket: WHAT!?
Meowth: GET 'IM!
Inkaliber: GAHK! What are you guys doing!? Quit pulling at my face!
James: Who are you!? Our good boss wouldn't give up no matter what!
Jessie: You have to be one of those evil team spies here to ruin his reputation!
Meowth: It's on too tight! I'll just claw it off!
Inkaliber: Infernape, Greninja, Stitch! Get them off of me!
Jessie: Hey! Unhand me!
Inkaliber: I can promise you guys that I am very real. The Pokémon and Stitch would have been able to tell if I was an impostor or not.
James: Then why Boss!? Why abandon the story that lead us here to you!?
Inkaliber: First off, we're putting a pin in you guys calling me boss. Second, I didn't say I was abandoning it. Just putting it on hiatus.
Meowth: Then why was it soundin' like yous was sayin' goodbye?
Inkaliber: Look, I need to look at the story from the ground up again. I need to figure out where my drive for the story went and where I should go for here. I hope I can come back to it as it is now, but I may have to change where and when Ash and Lilo meet. Might even change the story overall.
Jessie: So… you're not gonna abandon it…
James:…or send us back to Team Rocket?
Inkaliber: No I am not… Back to Team Rocket? Okay you guys have to tell me what's going on.
Team Rocket:… WE WANNA STAY!
Meowth: Livin' here has been cream of da crop Chief! It got even better once those Paris kids got here!
Jessie: Team Rocket was a starting point for our growth but we've loved being here and experiencing all these stories! Plus the living conditions are to die for!
James: While our loyalties were once to Team Rocket, we've finally found a place to call our own! We'll do anything you want or need, even down to working to keep up rent!
Team Rocket: Just please let us stay!
Inkaliber:… Sigh. I had a suspicion that you guys would want to stay. You do realize what you're leaving behind if you stay here right? Family, friends, and Pokémon that you've grown to care for. Chances are you may never see them again.
James: I only have my grandparents and the Pokémon back home. All of my Pokémon are well cared for and my grandparents will be fine.
Jessie: Any Pokémon I had a connection to are hopefully living their best lives in the wild. Everything else I have is right here.
Meowth: I have my bozos here and the few Pokémon on them. I have nothing else back home with us abandonin' the team.
Inkaliber:… Alright. You guys can stay, but you'll be working off your rent. I already have a lot of mouths to feed as it is here, and I'm a college student.
Team Rocket: SIR YES SIR!
Jessie: I have to find a new outfit to wear! Can't be seen in this anymore.
James: I think I have some of our disguises in the old trunk. Might as well see what we've got in there.
Meowth: I say we celebrate with some well-deserved macaroons.
Inkaliber: Guess that happened. Anyway, like I said this story is going on indefinite hiatus. Either I will come back to it with my passion for it restored or you'll be seeing a new story with a similar idea behind it. That does bring up an interesting question. If I do make a new story to replace this one, when do you think would be a good point in the series to have Lilo and Ash meet?
There's a lot to work with in Pokémon so there's a lot of possibilities. Would you want to see Lilo and Stitch adapt to living in Alola rather than Hawaii? Or would you like to see them and Ash traveling through a newer region, like Galar or Paldea. Let me know what you think down below.
