Hey y'all! We coming in hot today!

Chapter 16

Sam looked over at Mercedes bawled up next to him in his old bedroom at Mal's. They'd been there for a few weeks and hadn't been able to find Will anywhere. Mal had been on edge since they told him about how he was in their place after they'd had sex.. He of course fussed at Sam for 'defiling' his sister and then because another man had now seen her naked.

It took three hours to get him calmed down enough to leave, but Sam understood his anger, understood why, as much as he wanted, as hard as he tried, he couldn't protect the one person he needed to.

Sam ran his hand over her forehead, moving her hair from her eyes and placing a kiss on her forehead before leaving the room and walking to the kitchen, seeing Mal and Quinn sitting at the island.

"She still sleeping?" Quinn asked softly.

Sam nodded. "She's…I don't exactly know what she's feeling. I am trying to be here for her but she's barely left the room, and when I suggest she go outside she looks at me like I have two heads."

Malcolm shook his head. "Until that bastard is found, she's not going to get better. She's terrified."

Sam shifted. "I don't understand why he would be doing all of this. Based on what Mercedes told me, she barely gave him the time of day and he's gone to this extent? Something is not right with him and I've pulled every string I could… he's a fucking ghost."

"Maybe that's the issue. You're looking for him in places creeps would be… maybe he's in plain sight, right under your nose." Quinn said.

The men shared glances before looking back at her. "What does that even mean?"

Quinn shook her head. "Being men you don't have to think about these things but men who are creeps like Will tend to have time to plan out everything. He probably knows where everyone she's connected to lives, their schedules and since a majority of these places are keyless, he probably knows the code. Not to mention he probably has her car tagged which is why she doesn't want to go out." Quinn explained.

Mal shook his head. "I know damn well he better not in my walls!" He shouted.

"No, he wouldn't be in the walls more like on the property and when you and Sam go to practice he'll slip inside."

"Do you really think he would risk coming here?" Sam asked.

"He set her house on fire while he was in it, do you think the two of you really scare him?" She questioned.

Mal punched the air. "I had one damn job and that was to protect her and now I can't! I don't know how to fight someone I can see or get to."

Quinn grabbed his hands. "Me and Santana have been thinking and we might have a plan that will work but we can't tell Mercedes. The less we talk about the harder it will be for him to know but we only get one shot at getting her out."

Mal shook his head. "We're the Men in Black, how do you expect to move a whole human without that creep knowing?"

Quinn smirked. "When it's time you'll know." She replied, kissing Mal before grabbing her phone, quickly calling Santana as she walked out of the room.

Sam looked after her, running his hand through his hair. "So what just happened here?"

Mal shrugged. "I don't know… and I don't think their plan is going to work. So we gotta come up with one of our own."

"I agree, they're pretending to be Charlie's Angel and it's going to end up backfiring on Mercedes. We can find him and turn him in and then me and Mercedes can move back home."

Mal shook his head. "Nah bro, you really think I'm going to let my sister leave again? She's not going anywhere. I don't care that it's with you, she's not leaving my sight again!"

"That's not your decision to make and I'm not leaving without her." Sam replied, tired of having the same conversation with Mal. "We don't have time to rehash all this shit, we need to protect Mercedes."

"Fine but we will get back to that later, I say we get the team to help us.. They all love Mercy so I'm sure they have a few strings they could pull too."

"I think I can call Stacie too… she knows people."

"Sam?" They heard as Mercedes slowly walked into the kitchen. He shared a look with Mal before meeting her halfway.

"Hey baby, are you feeling better?" He asked and she just wrapped her arms around him sighing. "Are you hungry?"

She shook her head. "No, what are you guys doing? Where's Quinn?"

Mal offered her a smile. "I think she's upstairs, if you want I can order us a pizza and we can watch some movies together."

Mercedes shook her head. "No, thanks… I'm going to go talk to Q." She said before walking away.

Sam frowned. "I get that she's shaken up but she's also been… distant. I can't figure out what's wrong."

Mal shrugged. "Maybe she just needs time to really process everything? She hasn't really had a chance to just settle, the fire, you getting hurt and then finding out she has some crazed stalker… that's a lot."

"I don't know bro… I just wish I could make it easier somehow." Sam said, feeling completely defeated.

"Just keep being there, trust me that's the best thing any of us can do right now until we find that Will guy." Mal replied. "But while we wait, we can at least do more digging… a little birdie told me they know where Jesse is, I say we go pay him a visit."

Sam smirked. "I say that's a great idea, let's go. I'll text the girls letting them know we're heading out for a bit."

Mercedes walked into Mal's room, smiling when she saw Quinn pacing back and forth arguing with someone on the phone. She had to give it to the guys, they picked a great team to have on their side because whoever was on the other end of that phone was getting a lashing. She quietly hopped on her brother's bed and waited for Quinn to end her call so that she could talk to her.

Quinn let out a long breath before, smiling at Mercedes. "Hey honey, how are you feeling?" She asked, sitting down next to her.

"Exhausted… I can't sleep, not really, I just keep seeing Will's beady eyes looking at me naked."

Quinn reached over and took her hand. "We won't let that happen again. We have everyone looking out for him, we will get that bastard."

Mercedes sighed heavily. "I came here to get away from one abusive bastard and now I have another stalking me, and you all have to deal with it, I didn't want to bring trouble to my brother's door."

"You know that none of us see it like that right?" Quinn assured her. "You are family, and family takes care of each other."

Mercedes leaned on Quinn. "You are gonna make the best sister in law. I am glad Mal has you."

"Well trust me, we are glad Sam has you. You've changed him, he loves you so much."

"Sam is really great. None of this can be easy for him either."

"When are you going to tell him about the other thing?" Quinn asked and Mercedes looked at her before she shifted.

"He doesn't need to know about that yet." She replied, biting her lip.

"Mercedes, he needs to know sooner rather than later especially with all this going on too… you can't hold off telling him." Quinn said, sighing. "I can hold off saying anything but he's gonna know when Shelly starts coming around."

"I know, I know… just want a few more days of la la land before having to take on the world."

Quinn nudged her. "You know everything is going to be okay, right?"

Mercedes nodded before looking down at her phone. It was a text from Sam letting her know that they would be out for a while. "Well, I guess it's just us tonight… wanna call San and Kurt? Maybe we can figure out where Will is."

Quinn smirked. "I think that's a great idea, plus Santana might have some information for us." She pulled her phone out and sent a text to Kurt and Santana telling them to come over asap. "Let's find this bastard!"

"Ms. Evans, I have the film you wanted… sorry it's taken me this long but they weren't releasing it for some reason." Angela, Stacey's assistant said.

Stacey had just sat down for lunch but she knew this was top priority. "Oh great, can you put it in for me? I need to get my brother." She replied, getting up and running down the hallway. She loved the fact that Sam was able to get them offices near each other but also hated when Stevie would randomly steal her lunches.

She popped her head into his office, frowning when she saw an empty chair. "He's upstairs." Roderick said from behind her. "I can radio him for you."

She turned absently fixing her hair and smiled. "Please and thank you, tell him that it's urgent and to meet me in my office."

Roderick smirked, taking out his radio and calling for Stevie. "Hey man, Stacey's here, she said it's urgent and to meet her in her office."

"Urgent? Ask her if it's a bad hair day or stuck in the snow, cause last time she asked me to adjust her lumbar support."

Stacey shook her head leaning over his shoulder and grabbing his hand with the radio. "Get your big head to my office Stevie."

"Ugh fine! I am on my way." Stevie said clearly annoyed.

Stacey looked over to him and smiled before pulling away. "Thank you."

"I got you."

Stacey smirked. "Those are dangerous words."

Rodrick shrugged. "I think I can handle it." He quipped. "Besides, it's not like you'll say yeah if I ask you out. I've asked several times already."

"Maybe you should ask again." She said, winking before walking away from him.

"Maybe I will!" He called after her.

Stacey made her way back to her office, ready to view the tape, she also grabbed a plate and split her chicken alfredo in half. It was better to give him half than have him steal the entire thing.

As if he read her mind, Stevie walked in and immediately reached for one of her breadsticks. "Okay sis what's up? I was in the middle of negotiating a new SUV."

She watched as he started taking food from her container before sighing. "We finally got the film from that day and need to watch it."

"The what now?" He said with a mouth full of food.

"From the Super Bowl! We have the film, finally. Took a lot of wheeling and dealing but we got it and we can watch it frame by frame." She explained, grabbing the remote and hitting play.

Stevie grabbed the fork and took a bite. "Mhmm okay." He said on the edge of the desk as she played it, they both watched the screen closely. They watched Sam call the play before he started to run down the field, everything looked normal until he scored the touchdown.

"Slow it down here." Stevie said, putting his plate down and moving closer to the screen. Stacey did as he said and slowed the speed down, they watched as the other player came up and hit him, wincing they watched their brother fall to the ground before a second player jumped on top of them.

"I don't-"

"Shh, I need to pay attention." Stevie said, looking intensely. "Go forward a few seconds. Just right after everyone rushed to Sam."

Again Stacey did as instructed and they both watched everyone run over to him before noticing something just off to the right of the field on the sidelines. Narrowing her eyes, she saw one of the players run over to their side and talk to someone.

"Who… who is that he's talking to?" She asked, pausing the film. "Who's number sixty-two?"

Stevie shook his head before looking at his sister. "Shit." He said, running his hand over his face. "Has anyone else seen this?"

"Maybe the committee? I just know it was held because they were looking into it too but they didn't find anything."

He nodded. "I'll handle it from here."

"Handle it from here? What exactly am I missing here Stevie?"

"I would tell you but I've known you for twenty-six years, you'll overreact. You have this insane habit of thinking you're Carol Danvers when you're really Piglet. I don't need you to do that right now… just trust me." He said, before grabbing his plate and leaving her office.

"WHO THE HELL IS CAROL DANVERS?" She shouted after him, frowning when he just shook his head and kept walking. "Oh, I'm gonna find out who she is and she better not be ugly!"

Stevie pulled out his phone, hitting the name in his contacts. He listened to it ring before going to voicemail. "Yo, call me back!"

"Was it a hair crisis?" Roderick asked, jokingly.

"Nah man… it was something bigger. Hey you remember the big game right? Did we have any of the players use our service that night?"

Roderick sat back, thinking it over. "That was a busy night and with Sam getting hurt, it was a blur. I can look though but off the top of my head, I can't recall any of them using it."

Stevie nodded. "What about from the Rams side?"

Roderick looked into the log for that night. "I found two people… Rick Nelson and Azimio Adams."

Stevie looked up their names and sure enough they were the two that hit Sam. "Email me their information and dude, if you're gonna hit on my sister do it with the radio off. I'll be back tomorrow, lock up for me?"

Roderick laughed. "I'll keep that in mind and you got it!" He said, sending over the information he asked for.

Stevie started to say something but his phone rang, he looked and quickly picked it up. "Finn my boy! Long time no talk, let's get a drink!"

In the words of Unique Adams "Oh this is happening!" Shit getting done babyyyy!
