Here's the next chapter of Kimi the She-Wolf story. In it we'll see Kimi get bitten by the werewolf. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter. By the way I'm not really good on how Tommy home-made movies would go.
As the bell rang to end the day, students began to fill the hallways. Kimi is with Lil as they walked to their lockers "So, Tommy made you the monster huh?" Lil asked as they got to their lockers.
"Yeah, I'm surprised as well. Sure, me and Chuckie did play the whole aliens role." Said Kimi putting her books away as she talks "But I never played the actual monster. Let alone a werewolf. I have no clue how to act like one." Kimi admits.
"Well, I think Dil might have some tips. You could ask him." Lil adjusted.
"Yeah, I think I should."
Just as Kimi closed her locker, someone harshly bumped into her. Caused her to drop her bag and almost knocked her off her feet as Lil catches her "Hey, watched where you are going!" Kimi rubs her shoulder with Lil glaring at someone.
"Whoops! My bad!" Said the boy snarking "Didn't see you. Hope I didn't hurt ya." The boy chuckled as he walked away down the hall.
"Oh… That Miles is such a bully." Lil clearly mad then turned her attention to her friend "You alright Kimi?"
"I'm alright. Just ignore him Lil." Said Kimi picking up her bag.
"It's going to be hard ignoring him when he's just looking for trouble. Especially since he has no problem picking on girls." As both Lil and Kimi then walked down the hall "After all, the guy is bad news."
"I'm sure he's being misunderstood." Said Kimi.
"Misunderstood? This is Miles we're talking about, Kimi. He's only been in the school for three weeks after moving here and already causing trouble. He's the same guy who got kicked out from three other schools in the state alone. How could a guy like him be 'misunderstood'?" Lil asked her friend.
"Remember my friend Z?" Kimi asked Lil in return.
"The boy with the green mohawk? What about him?"
"Everyone thinks he's a delinquent. But he's actually a good guy."
"Well, can you blame us, especially Chuckie? His clothing was screaming 'Bad Boy', so again… could you blame us?"
Kimi just chuckled "Yeah, I understand the misunderstanding. Still, you guys should've gotten to know him to see he's really kind. Maybe Miles is as well." Said Kimi.
"Kimi, I understand that Z is kind since you had spent more time with him. But Miles on the other hand…" They then heard laughter as they turned down the other hallway. Seeing Miles and his two cronies tormenting another student "No offense on your point of view Kimi. But I don't see any misunderstanding with a guy like Miles."
All Kimi could do is sigh "Yeah, guess you're right." Kimi admits Lil is right.
As they left the school Lil the spoke out "By the way, still going to Tommy's place? To help him with his movie thing?" Lil looked at Kimi.
"Of course, he did ask us for his help to make it for that festival. Why wouldn't I help out?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe be close enough to your crush and hold his hand?"
Kimi felt her heart skip a beat when said the word 'crush' to her. Her face heats up when she looked away, hiding her flustering face "I-I… What?! W-What you mean by my crush? I don't…"
Lil covered her mouth as she laughed "Calm down, Finster. Or else you're going to have a panic attack." Lil calming Kimi as she went one "C'mon Kimi. Do you really think I wouldn't notice? The way you are looking at Tommy with those dreaming eyes. And not to mention hiding your face whenever you flustered."
Kimi is now feeling embarrassed. She never thought Lil would know about her feelings towards Tommy as if she was a book easily to read "How long did you know?" Kimi asked.
"I had a feeling. Even though you said it was just a silly crush. You never stop having feelings for Tommy."
"Sigh, I know. I only said what I said so Chuckie and Tommy would stop fighting. You know how my brother is like when he's overprotective. I love Chuckie, but he can be a pest sometimes."
"Come on, Kimi you know how Chuckie is like. I mean if it was Phil, I would knock his block off. But Chuckie cares and he's afraid to see you to get hurt."
"Okay, how is having a crush on his best friend would get me hurt?"
"How the hell should I know. I don't understand boys." Lil then turned in time to see they guys coming out the building "Speaking of boys, here come's Tommy and your brother."
Tommy walked up to them waving "Hey you two. Ready to make a film?" Said Tommy.
Kimi about to respond only for Lil to speak out first "Yeah, hopefully it'll go smoothly then the other times we done one of your home-made movies." Said Lil.
"Yeah, I guess so."
"I still don't understand why I wouldn't be the wolf. Monsters is basically my thing." Said Phil as the kids headed home.
"For the last time Phil. I wanted to let someone else to try."
"So, you pick Kimi to play the werewolf?" Said Chuckie.
"Got a problem with that?" Said Kimi defensively.
"No, I don't. It's just you don't know a single thing about werewolves."
"Come on, Chuckie. I can learn. Just need someone to give me some advice."
"That would be me, thank you." Said Dil "I would like to help ya out Kimi."
"Why thanks Dil. Would appreciate the help."
"Well, meet us at our house so we could get the movie rolling." Said Tommy.
"Hope it wouldn't ended up a disaster like last time." Chuckie commented.
"C'mon Chuck, how bad will things go?" Tommy questioned at Chuckie comment.
When the gang arrived at Tommy's and Dil's backyard, things took a tragic turn. They didn't start filming for more than a several hours until things had already fallen apart. Much of Tommy's frustration "Come on guys! If we don't get the first scene just right, no one will take this movie seriously!" Shouted Tommy.
"Sorry Tommy. It's kind of hard how to speak in a British accent." Said Chuckie as Tommy got up to him "Chuckie your character speaks in a Scottish accent. There's a difference." Tommy explained to him.
"What's the difference between Scottish and British?" Phil questioned which Tommy can't help but groan walking back his chair.
"How bad will things go," I said. Me and my big mouth." Tommy slumped onto the chair.
"Well, what did you expect? Hoping things go your way for once?" Kimi joked as she joined Tommy side "This is the price movie directors have to pay when working on a picture film."
"I know, but if we don't get this done by next month before the festival coming in the following month. Might as well give up and wait for next year." Tommy then notices something Kimi is holding "What's that in your hand?"
Kimi showed Tommy "It's a werewolf costume." The costume looked old, and the mask looks ragged and would be too comfortable to wear "Where the heck did you get this old thing?" Tommy asked.
"Your brother said he got it from some yard sale." Kimi told him.
"Eh, it looks pretty old and worn out. Not to mention there are tears and holes. Wouldn't make a convincing monster." Tommy points out to Kimi "For all I know Dil must've got it at a low price." He joked.
Which made Kimi snicker "I guess that's true. Maybe I'll try out some makeup instead."
"Why not call Susie if she wanted to come over here tomorrow to do makeup? She's really good with that stuff." Said Tommy.
"Tomorrow?"
"With the pace we're going, properly wouldn't do a scene where you get to kill Phil." Tommy takes the costume from Kimi as he went on "Plus, we still have plenty of time to get this film ready by the time the film festival starts."
"Yeah, I guess you make some good points. After all, we do have a history when it come to your films."
"My films? I wouldn't done any of it without you guys. A film director is nothing without his crew."
Kimi smiled at Tommy's comment. Tommy has a good heart and does deeply cares about his friends. After all, they all grew up together during their younger years. How their parents always come over to the Pickles residence for their play dates. Something they all cherished as toddlers. And Tommy has been a good friend to not just her. But to Chuckie, Phil, Lil, even to Susie.
Just then the backdoor opened to reveal Tommy's and Dil's mother "Kids! Pizza's here!" Didi calling out to the kids.
"Sweet! Pizza!" Dil sounded excited.
"Dibs on the first slice!" Phil called out.
"Hey! You can't call dibs for a slice." Said Lil annoyed.
"Already did!" Phil quickly went to the door.
"Well, better get inside before Phil decide to eat the box of pizza." Said Tommy.
"Yeah, let's. Sure, it's nice your parents let us stay for dinner." Said Kimi as she and Tommy walked to the house.
"Our parents been close friends. Of course, they didn't mind letting you guys stay for dinner." Tommy and Kimi continue their conversation as they enter the house.
Once night has fallen the front door opened as both Chuckie and Kimi exited the house. Tommy and his dad Stu stood at the doorway "Thanks for the pizza, Mr. Pickles." Chuckie thanked Stu.
"No problem Chuck. You sure you two wouldn't let me drive you both back home? There's been animal attacks these past few nights lately." Said Stu offering the two Finster's a ride.
"It's quite alright Mr. Pickles. We'll be alright. Right Chuckie?" Kimi looked at her brother.
"Well… it wouldn't hurt to have him drove us home." Said Chuckie uncertain about walking back home at night.
"C'mon there hasn't been one animal sighting around the neighborhood for almost a week. Plus, it's a nice night to walk back home." Said Kimi.
Chuckie hesitates but sighs "Alright, I guess it wouldn't hurt. Since our house isn't that far away." Chuckie replied.
"Alright but you two better be careful. Especially around this time of night." Stu told them with concern.
"Don't worry we'll be fine." Said Kimi.
"See you guys tomorrow, right?" Tommy asked.
"Of course. See ya at school tomorrow, Tommy." Said Chuxkie waving goodbye to his best friend.
"Bye Chuckie. See ya later Kimi." Tommy saying goodbye to Kimi who waved back "See you tomorrow." Kimi saying goodbye.
Both Kimi and Chuckie then walked away with Tommy and Stu watching them go, before closing the door. Both siblings walked down the sidewalk as Chuckie phone rang. He pulled it out and give it a look with Kimi looking at him "What's up?" Kimi asked.
"Got a text from dad. Looks like he and mom going to be working late." Chuckie told her "Oh, and also reminding us about homework."
"Ugg, homework is such a drag."
"Well, we have to make sure to keep our grades up so we wouldn't do Summer School."
"Yeah, that's true." Kimi then notices something on Chuckie's arm. It has a small bluish spot where the sleeve nearly covered it "Hey Chuck? What's that on your arm?" Kimi asked, pointing at Chuckie's arm.
Chuckie covered it "What's what?" Chuckie lying nervously.
Kimi grabbed her brother, forcing them to stop walking. She then moved his hand to see. Lifting the sleeve, she sees a bruise on his arm "Chuck is that a bruise? How did you get a bruise?" Kimi asked her brother as he looked away "Charles… Where did you get this bruise?" Kimi asked again using his real name.
Hearing his name from his sister means she's serious. He exhaled as he scratched his head "Miles…" He told her, admitting it.
"Miles?! Ooohhh… Why that son of a-"
"Kimi language!" Chuckie cut her off "It's nothing."
"Nothing? Chuckie, this is serious. Has he been picking on you the whole time?" Kimi asked him which Chuckie couldn't answered "Chuckie…"
"Well… Not always… Maybe sometimes…"
"Have you told Principle Pangborn about Miles bullying?"
"You think I'm the only one who got picked on? You should've seen the other kids Miles did. For someone whose only thirteen he doesn't mess around." Chuckie went on "And I don't want our parents to worry about it."
"Well, I'm worried. Earlier at the end of school I told Lil Miles might be misunderstood. But now I take it back, he's the worst." Kimi let out an angry grunt "I still don't understand why Principle Pangborn wouldn't suspend that kid?"
"Hey, don't worry about him. Just think about…"
Before Chuckie could go on, they both heard whimpering noises. They both look to see what is making the noise. Walking on the side of the road is a stray dog. But as Kimi squinted her eyes, she recognized the dog. It was the same dog she saw that got hit by a car at school. However, it seems more ruffed and still limping since she last saw it at school.
They both watched as the dog slowly collapse as Kimi can't help but feel sadden at the dog's poor condition "That poor dog. Looks like he needs help." Kimi is much of an animal lover herself, the only thing she wants is to help the poor dog.
As she took a step, she felt Chuckie grabbing her arm "I wouldn't get too close Kimi. As much as I know how much you like animals. But feral dogs are quite dangerous." Said Chuckie.
"Well, I can't just leave him alone. I'm just going to check on him and take him back home with us. It's the right thing to do."
"But what if it got rabies? It's the more reason we shouldn't get near."
"Well, I have to take that chance, wouldn't I?" Kimi sounds determined.
Getting out of Chuckie's grasp Kimi walked towards the dog. She slowly walked up, hearing its faintest whimper. She kneeled down as she looked at the dog. The dog is clearly far larger than any dogs she has seen. And its dark brown fur pelt looked ragged and messy. Kimi frowned to see the poor thing in such a harsh state "Hey, there fella." Kimi spoke in a soft, gentle voice so she wouldn't scare the dog "You need some help?"
The dog doesn't seem to hear or notice Kimi presence. Kimi reaches out her left hand to stroke its fur to calm it. However, in a flash the dog quick as lighting, lashed out and sank its fangs into Kimi's forearm "AAAAHHHH!" Kimi let out an anguished scream.
Kimi got pulled onto the ground as the dog pulling her arm. The dog released her arm and tried to attack her neck. But she used her injured arm as a shield as she lay on her back as the dog got on top of her. She can feel the teeth sink into her flesh, causing an unimaginable pain. Letting out cries while her arm is getting mauled. She faintly heard her brother cry. She saw Chuckie behind the dog trying to pull it away from her.
But he got knocked back causing him to fall over into a neighbor's bush. Kimi can feel specks of blood drippling onto her face and shirt. Thinking as if her arm going to get torn off, Chuckie stood back up, holding in his hands what appears to be a fake flamingo prop. Chuckie then started hitting the canine on the back then hitting the head. The dog let go of Kimi's arm as it then ran away.
Chuckie watched the dog disappear into the night as he dropped the flamingo prop and kneel down to Kimi who is clutching her arm "Kimi! Are you okay?!" Chuckie asked worried.
Kimi face twisted in agony with tears streaming down her cheek. Sweat sliding down on her face. Taking a look at her arm, it has deep gash marks as blood gushing out from the wound. Kimi looked at Chuckie while her arm throbbing in pain, with teary, red puffy eyes "My arm… is gushing out blood… Of course, I'm not alright…" Kimi cried clutching her arm.
Blood droplets stained the sidewalk, forming a pool. Thinking fast to try and stop the bleeding. He takes off his shirt and wrapped it around Kimi's mauled arm "L-Let's get you back to Tommy's place! His folks will help!" Said Chuckie as he lifted his sister back to her feet.
They then quickly headed back to the Pickles residence for help. Leaving a trail of blood behind.
Back at the Pickles residence Tommy, Dil, the twins, and his cousin sat on the couch watching a creature feature on the TV "So, what exactly are we watching?" Angelica asked.
"It's a classic giant monster movie. Duh." Said Dil.
"And why are we watching it? To me it looks dumb." Angelica not impressed.
"C'mon Angelica, this was made in the 50's. It's a classic." Said Tommy admiring the film "Sure, they're not as good in this time era. But you have to admit these old films were the greatest of their time."
"Minus the dumb puppetry in most horror films." Phil bluntly told him which Lil hit his arm "Ow! What?!"
"At least they used what they have." Said Lil.
"Exactly. These films were the golden age of cinema." Said Tommy with optimism.
"You said it, champ." Stu joined the kids after helping his wife doing the dishes "What's this film about?"
"Oh, you know the usual pops. Monster attacks city. With either human science or military ended up killing it." Said Dil eating some popcorn.
"Ah, I see. These films sure bring back good memories. Watching movies are always bring entertainment."
"Huff, movies? Back in my day, we don't still around glue to those plastic screens." Said Lou rambling about his old days as always "Instead we tell stories or play pretend, those things always keep your blood pumping."
Suddenly, a loud thumping noises knocking against the door, made everyone jumped "Uh, I wonder who that could be?" Stu muttered.
"I'll get it dad." Tommy getting off the couch.
He walked up to the door and turned the knob. He then opened the door "Yeah, can I-" Tommy stop once he sees Chuckie and Kimi by the door "Chuckie? What are doing here?" Tommy asked.
"Tommy, Kimi's hurt!" Shout Chuckie.
Looking at Kimi, she has her arm wrapped in Chuckie's shirt, with a dark red stain close to her chest. Specks of blood can be seen from her face and her shirt having blood stain. Seeing Kimi in such a state he moves out the way "Bring her inside!" Tommy told him.
When everyone sees the two Finster's they looked on confused "Tommy what's going on?" Stu asked his eldest son.
"Dad, Kimi is hurt!" Tommy told him with everyone gasp in shock.
"Bring her to the kitchen." Stu told Chuckie as he takes Kimi to the kitchen "Didi where's first aid kit?!"
"It's upstairs under the sink!" Said Didi as she attends Kimi injury "What happened?"
"There… There was a dog…" Kimi begins to explain to her, winching in pain and taking deep ragged breaths "I-It looked hurt… I-I wanted to help."
"It's okay dear. Let's clean then wound and take a look." Didi removed the stained shirt only to see how much blood on Kimi arm "Oh, dear… this looks really bad." Didi brought Kimi arm to the sink and run water to wash the arm.
Only for Kimi to grunt in pain as the water stings. Stu quickly returned with the first aid kit "Got the kit! How's bad is Kimi arm?!" Stu asked as he looked at Kimi's arm himself "Oh my god…" Stu muttered.
"It looks bad Stu. She needs stitches." Said Didi worried.
"There's no time. She needs to see a doctor." After washing the wound Stu spray anti-infection onto Kimi arm which stings much worst. Causing Kimi to hiss in pain trying to hold back any more tears.
After Stu bandage her arm, he looked at Didi "We need to take her to the hospital."
Didi nodded "I agree, the dog might've been carrying rabies." Said Didi agreeing with her husband.
Once they exited the kitchen, Chuckie is sitting on the couch wearing one of Tommy's shirts. Stu looked at the kids and his father who with them "Everyone get in the car. We're taking Kimi to the hospital." Stu ordered.
"I'll call Chas and Kira. Letting them know what happened." Said Didi calling Chas's phone.
Everyone exited the house. Stu and Didi took one of the cars with Chuckie, Kimi, and Tommy sitting in the back. While Lou took Dil, Angelica, and the twins into the other one.
They then took off towards the hospital with Kimi having dark circles under her eyes, her breathing shallow, and forehead sweating. Clutching her arm which is trembling with Chuckie hold her closed, while Tommy looking at her worried. Before long Kimi's eyes slowly shut as Stu droved towards the hospital in a hurry.
Well, that's it for this chapter. And boy this is a long chapter I ever done. And since it's October, I guess this is a Halloween story. Anyway, Kimi is now bitten and now carrying the curse. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter.
