Hi hi to any old or new readers!

I recently got some reviews for this story and its' predecessor, "Maps". I want to thank pinkpicachu94 for your review! I have always loved writing this story, but did not think anyone was still reading, so I sort of lost interest. Hopefully you guys enjoy what is to come! I still know where this is going and plan to put out the rest of the story by the end of the year (I do have quite a bit of moving coming up this summer, but hopefully that won't put a damper on my writing.) I also want to go back and rewrite/revise the first 11 chapters as I read through them, and they are not up to quality standard and I really don't like how I wrote the characters.

Anyways, here is chapter 12! It ended up being a lot longer than I expected so there's an extra gift for y'all :') enjoy!

The Journey

Chapter 12: Kira VS Ray

Kira watched fervently as Lee and Johnny's blades knocked into each other. It was 1-1, whoever took this last round would win the first half of the match.

"It's gonna be okay, he's got this!" Lucy was watching her tablet for Johnny's stats as well as Lee's. "Lee's power is slowly drifting, thanks to the defense you've helped Johnny build these past few weeks. This is incredible!"

"Finish him off Salamolyon!" One last hit, and Lee's blade flew past his astonished face and bounced off the ground behind him. He seemed to look in slow motion at his blade and Kira could see the defeated look on Lee's face.

"AND THE WINNER IS JOHNNY WITH THE MAJESTICS!" DJ Jazz yelled into his mic as the crowd burst into cheers. Kira jumped up and yelled excitedly for her friend as he ran over to them.

"You did it! I'm so proud of you!"

"Lee..." Ray stood and whispered as the crowd was going crazy. "It's okay."

"I failed us..." Lee murmured in a reply as he bent down. Ray looked over to the Majestics as Kira and Johnny were celebrating with their friends as the deafening crowd continued to cheer. He saw her pick up her launcher and attach her blade and knew it was time. He grabbed his launcher out of its pouch, and his blade. He looked down at his Drigger chip and closed his eyes before connecting it to his launcher. His eyes opened in a flash and connecting with Kira and they both walked out to their spots before the blading rink.

"Wow! Just would you look at all that tension out there AJ!"

"You're tellin' me Brad! I can't imagine what all those fans out there are feeling! Just look at their faces!"

The countdown started, but Kira could barely hear them. She felt as though her and Ray were the only ones in the room, even though there were thousands of people.

'Focus, Ki.' Johnny's voice in her head brought her back and she heard "1" and both her and Ray ripped their blades. There was frost and electricity in the air, as a wave of cold air burst from Kira's blade and an electric spurt came from Ray's. Lucy's eyes basically bugged out of her face from the data she was getting and she jumped up. She searched the crowd and finally found who she was looking for, and ran off into the sidelines.

"Kenny!"

Back in the rink, Draiga and Driger were attacking and avoiding each other expertly. Ray was extremely fast, but Kira knew how to fake him out.

Kira looked up at him and in a flash, Driger made a move to Draiga.

"Sorry Ki.. MOUNTAIN SAGE'S DARK CLAW ATTACK!"

"Yeah Ray, get 'er!" Mariah shouted and cheered from behind him, and in a flash he barged through Draiga, and basically attached himself to her and counterspun her.

"Draiga no! You can break out of this!" Another bright white flash came through Ray's blade as he pushed through Kira's blade and it flew out of the rink. Kira stared incredulously at the rink in front of her and looked back at her blade and then Ray, who was smirking and then he winked at her. Kira could feel the rage boiling inside of her.

"Woooooaaahh everyone!" Brad called out. "Totally unexpected, Ray barged through and took Kira out! Looks like we need to keep our eye on this one, but the match isn't over. And I have a feeling Kira isn't going to take this next round lightly.

"Holy cow! What the heck was that?!" Kenny peered down at Lucy's screen from where he was sitting, despite Tyson trying to pull him back.

"Traitor! This is traitorous!" Tyson griped as he glared in Lucy's direction.

"Would you cut it out!? I'm just looking at the data!"

"What the hell happened out there?!" Enrique hopped up off of his bench as Kira walked over to them, staring down at her blade.

"I...I dunno. I've never seen Ray do that attack before." She looked at Enrique. Luna hopped down from the railing of the stands and ran behind Kira.

"Are you okay?! Even Kai was shocked! Actually, I think the whole world was!" She grabbed onto her cousin's shoulders and rubbed them. "It's gonna be alright! Now you go and kick his ass these next two rounds!"

'No self-doubt, Ki.' Kira looked up at Johnny who was intensely staring at her. He nodded as they connected eyes.

'I'm trying not to, but-'

'No buts, you're Kirana Dickenson. You can win this.'

She stood there for a second and turned around. Ray was already standing in his spot and waiting for her.

"Alright, second round! Let's get this going! 3,2,1 LET IT RIP!" DJ Jazz yelled with the crowd and the bladers ripped their blades from their launchers.

"DRAIGA, ULTIMA HEAVENLY STRIKE!" Before her blade could even hit the ground, Kira sent it flying in Ray's direction. A beam of light shone from her blade as it flew at an unimaginable speed in his direction. "DRAIGA! ICE STRIKE TAKEDOWN!"

"Woah! Two moves at once?!" Robert hopped up and took a step forward so he could see better.

Kira's blade sped up to match the speed of Ray's and icicles grew from the blade as it spun and the blade slammed into Ray's making his blade turn to ice. Ray grunted as it slowly stopped spinning and looked up at Kira who smiled.

"Gotcha."

"And Kira takes this round for the Majestics! Aahhh! I can't take it! Who's going to be the winner?!"

The two bladers grabbed their blades and geared up for one more round.

"Congrats on the win, Kira!" A random crowd goer called out to her and she waved and smiled at them. The last round was intense, but she ended up taking it home. The Majestics were waiting for the crowd to clear out as they were in their waiting room.

"You scared me there for a bit, Ki." Johnny said to her as the others attended to themselves.

"I was scared myself if I'm being honest. He almost beat me." She sighed and shook her head. Kira leaned back in her seat and stared up at the ceiling.

"Tch, as if. There was no competition." Johnny scowled. There was a knock on the door and then Ray poked his head in.

"Hey Kira, can I steal you for a second?"

Johnny was silent, and stood stood and walking over to the door. Ray gave him a confused look and stood up tall. Kira watched the two and held her breath. They had never gotten along... but they were the two most important men in her life. It made her a bit sad, honestly.

"...hey man. I just wanted to say good game out there. You guys really almost kicked our asses." Johnny held his hand out and the rest of his teammates, and even Ray, stared at him incredulously. "If it hadn't been for Kira destroying our asses in training these past few weeks. We surely would have lost..." Ray stared at him for a second and then took his hand and shook it strongly. Johnny met his grip and they both nodded.

"Thanks man. You guys deserved the win though, you both totally destroyed us." They let go and Ray smiled, looking at Kira. "Kira?" Kira hopped up and smiled at her teammates.

"I'll be right back." She followed Ray out and looked back at Johnny who was watching her. She owed him an explanation and a talk. But it would have to wait. The hallways had emptied out quite a bit, so they walked around the corner a bit to have some privacy, and Ki knew that Johnny couldn't see into her mind this far. "What's up, Ray?" She held her hands behind her back looking at him curiously. He held out his hand and she gave hers to him. "What's...going on?" She smiled, and he placed a hotel keycard in the envelope in her hand. Kira stared down at it at a loss for words.

"For tonight.. I figured trying to go to Enrique's may be a bit awkward... especially with Johnny being there. I'm not sure where you guys stand but-" Kira looked at him expectantly.

"Is this our own room?" Ray nodded and gave her a weird look.

"Of course it is. There's no way I'd take you back to a hotel with the White Tigers. That kinda defeats the whole purpos-" He laughed lightly but he couldn't even finish his sentence because Kira launched herself onto him in a hug, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and neck.

"Thank you..." she whispered in his ear, sending chills down his spine. "I've wanted to be alone with you for so long." She could feel herself practically crying with joy. He pulled his head back and smiled down at her.

"It's basically an apartment, has a kitchen and everything. I was hoping to cook for you tonight-" Again, she interrupted him, but this time with a soft, tender kiss.

"You have no idea how much this means to me." She told him when she pulled back and looked at the keycard over his shoulder, smiling. "I...I'll see you tonight then."

"See you tonight." He quickly squeezed one of her buttcheeks and laughed then winked before hurrying off, before she could swath at him. Kira watched him dash off and turned back to walk to their waiting room.

Kira looked at herself in the mirror. She had showered, shaved, and exfoliated her whole body, and decided to curl her long burgundy locks. It wasn't often, besides dressing up for her performances, that she got to get dolled up often. And this was for Ray, so she wanted to make sure she looked perfect. Her eyes were perfectly lined, her lashes behaving perfectly as they were curled, a deep red lipstick on her lips. She had a black silky chemise with lace lining on that was tucked into some tight black jeans, that accentuated her figure. Without warning, her phone was buzzing on the dresser and she answered. The number was unrecognizable.

"Hello?"

"Ah, this is Kirana Dickenson, yes?" There was a very heavy Spanish accent on the other side of the line. Was this something to do with Spain? The next stop on their beyblading world tour.

"Ah, si seƱor." The voice chuckled, and the man explained his reasoning for the call. She listened carefully to his words and was practically bouncing by the end of the call.

"That's amazing! Yes, absolutely! I would love to!" She smiled. "Thank you so much for the offer."

"Perfecto. We will be in contact, hablare mas tarde." And the line clicked. Kira held the phone in her hand and smiled. There was a swift knock on her door, and Johnny poked his head in.

"Hey, Ki."

"Oh, Johnny, hi!" Kira gasped out of fright and held her hand to her chest as she walked to greet him. "I didn't realize you were still here."

"Yeah I didn't really feel like going out... but it looks like you're about to... maybe I should have." Johnny scratched the back of his head. "You uhhh.. look beautiful."

Kira gave him a small smile and took his hand, walking him over to her bed. She sat and pat the spot next to her. "There are some things we need to talk about."

"Okay..." Johnny sat and turned his body towards her. "What's up?"

"I have...come to a realization recently. It wasn't something that was easy to decide, but I had to do it. For so long, I've been stuck between you and Ray. You and I have this amazing, deep connection, that I don't know if we will ever understand." Kira watched his face as she carefully chose her words. She could see he understood where this was going. "But even though we have this connection, there is just... something that pulls me to him."

"But he won't ever love you the way that I do..." Johnny whispered and Kira's breath caught in her chest. She sighed and looked down.

"I mean... that may be true, but it also may not be, Johnny. What you have with me, and what I have with Ray are so different. I have no way to measure who loves me more. Either way, it doesn't truly matter. It wouldn't be fair of me to be with you. Besides that, you're still with Amara. We slept together while you were dating her, Johnny... I feel disgusted with myself that that happened. And even after that happened..." Kira sighed again. "I found myself yearning for him." She looked into his hurt amethyst eyes and could feel tears swelling up in her own. Why was this so hard? "I will always love you. I always have, always will. But Ray holds my heart.." Johnny stared back at her with his hurt expression. The girl he had been pining after all these years would never want him the way he wanted her, would she? He closed his eyes and stood.

"I understand Kira... I'm gonna... go out after all, I guess." He started walking and turned to look at her one last time before leaving the room and closing the door. She sighed watching him go but knew it needed to be done. Luckily, they had a bit of time to heal from this before the next battle. And one of the others could always sub in for him if he wasn't up to blading. Hopefully he wouldn't drop out because he was the partner she needed, but she couldn't lead him on just for the sake of beyblade. That would completely destroy their friendship and possibly her relationship with Ray. Kira stood and checked her makeup in the mirror before heading downstairs, down a grand marble staircase. She walked past the foyer and into the kitchen...before stopping in place and backtracking to the foyer as something, or rather someone caught her attention.

"Mariah?" Kira saw her looking around at the grand entrance, and all the decor that decorated Enrique's home. Really? Now she had to deal with Mariah? Kira sighed as the bubblegum-haired girl turned to smile at her.

"Hi, Kira."

"Look, I don't really have the patience for whatever this drop-in visit is for, so can you please leave?"

"I know you're going to see Ray, I just wanted to talk to you before you go." Mariah looked around some more as she walked towards the maroon haired girl. "God... I never knew how the insanely rich lived, this is crazy." Kira stared at her with an eyebrow raised as Mariah redirected her attention back to Kira. "Don't go."

"What? Why not? Why would I ever listen to you, especially after what you did to me, and your teammate."

"All is forgiven with Ray. I'm not worried about that. But what I am worried about is that you won't seem to give up on him. No matter what happens."

"Of course not, Mariah. I love him. As hard as that is for you to hear and understand, I do." Mariah winced and looked away.

"You could never love him the way that he deserves, unfortunately. And the village will never accept you two together. That may not seem like a problem as of right now, but eventually, he is going to want to get married and have kids. I-" Mariah tapped her chest, "can give that to him." Kira was silent as Mariah's golden eyes bore into her soul. "You have two amazing men at your feet, begging to be with you. One of them may be meant to be with you, but I know one of them is not. Ray and I have been engaged since we were kids. I grew up knowing that he would be my husband and my family when we got older. That's just how it is there... then he met you and seemed to forget about everything."

"Or maybe he realized that the decision laid out to you as children wasn't actually his only choice... Mariah, your world in that village is so small. If you limit yourself to what you were only told as a child, your options are limited. Both you and Ray deserve to be happy, but if that's not with each other that's okay..." Kira frowned, but Mariah wasn't letting up.

"You're not listening to me, Kira! You may believe that, but it doesn't make it the truth. Ray's parents will never accept you as their daughter-in-law. He will be exiled from the village... what do you think that would do to him?"

"Don't you think he's probably thought all of this through? It's not like we're in a new relationship. We've been going out almost three years, albeit not consistently but..."

"That's the thing, Kira. Ray's a man. He doesn't think with the right head. He sees you...dressed up as you are-" Mariah motioned towards her, and Kira felt her anger growing, but she kept her cool, "and loses all sense. That's why you're bad for him!" Kira looked down. Maybe she was bad for him... maybe he was bad for her. They fought a lot, there were issues... but they loved each other, a lot. So did she really care? Not really. All couples have issues to sort through.

"Look Mariah, I understand... really... I do. But you're not going to convince me to drop him. I already tried to, multiple times. But he keeps coming back to me, and my heart yearns for him. I'm sorry.. but I'm going to have to ask you to leave now. After what you did, you're lucky I've talked to you for this long." Mariah's pointy ears were flushed red, probably a mix of frustration and anger... but Kira gave up trying to read the neko-jin a loooong time ago. Mariah huffed and walked out of the house, slamming the door behind her, and her long pink hair floating behind her. Kira shook her head watching her leave, and grabbed her things before heading out to meet up with Ray.

Kira got in a taxi and leaned her head back as it drove swiftly, and sort of crazily through traffic. It didn't take long to reach her destination, which was right along the Venice river. The Aman Venice was a monumental hotel and looked to be very old. Kira's heels clicked on the marble flooring as she walked through the foyer of the hotel. The hotel wasn't particularly busy, but there was a fair amount of people there. She looked around for her man of the hour.. and once she walked further into the hotel, she found him. He was sitting, leaning against the bar with a drink in hand, staring off into the distance. Most likely some whiskey. It wasn't expected, but that was his drink of choice, and on ice. She quietly walked up behind him, taking extra care to be quiet because she knew he could hear her from a mile away, and wrapped her arms around his chest. He must have been deep in thought because he slightly jumped as she did so. He placed a hand on her arm and turned, giving her a grin.

"Gah, Kira. You startled me." He shook his head and kissed her nose lightly. "I'm so glad you came. I was worried."

Kira shook her head and stared into his eyes deeply. Oh, how she loved his eyes. A golden amber color, but they were so full of depth and life, she could stare into them forever. "I'm done doubting us." Kira took a step back to take the view of Ray. He had his hair the usual way but was wearing a black traditional Chinese shirt with black pants, and shoes to match. He looked, so insanely handsome! Kira blushed.

"Let's go check out the room, shall we?" He held her hand and led her in the direction of the room and up the grand staircase to an elevator.

"We're going up even higher?" Kira looked at him with a surprised look and looked out of the glass elevator that overlooked Venice. The sun was just starting to set, which made the river look like it was on fire. Ray stood behind her and softly kissed the side of her neck that was exposed and Kira leaned back against him.

"I told you I was going to celebrate you winning. I wasn't joking." Ray whispered into her skin as he softly continued to kiss her. Kira could feel the goosebumps running down her body when finally the elevator bell dinged and opened to a singular hallway, that led straight to their room.

"The penthouse?" Kira looked at Ray who nodded.

"It's ours for the night." He grabbed her hand and led her down the hall, and opened the door to the room.

"Oh wow... Ray..." Kira whispered as she stepped into the room. The room was very ornately decorated, not a single detail out of place. The walls were plastered with gold and had famous artwork covering every wall.

"Wow is right..." Ray spoke incredulously from behind her. His eyes scanned the room, and then he looked to her, smiling seeing the look on her face.

"You really didn't have to do all this, really." Kira shook her head, and walked deeper into the room, taking in everything. It was an amazing room. She didn't even want to think about how much it was costing him, and she could definitely feel the guilt setting in. "Really Ray, I would be happy to stay in a Days Inn with you."

"Please, Kira." Ray gave her a look, and she sighed. "This is one of our only chances to be alone right now. I'm going to treat you how you deserve." He led her back into the room and towards what she guessed was the bedroom. Yep, she was right. She ran her head across the impossibly soft comforter, and since the bed was so tall, Ray lifted her back and onto the mattress. She sat back and looked at him. "Seeing you here, it's definitely worth it." He smiled and grabbed her hand, kissing her. She sighed into the kiss and scooted herself forward, wrapping her legs around him. She pressed her chest against his and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. Ray squeezed her hip, and pulled back from the kiss. "I know we don't get these moments often, and I'm sorry.

"Umm.. before you go, I need to talk to you." She bit her lip and could feel the anxiety coming on. She trusted Ray. She knew that it was probable that Mariah was most likely just trying to get her to leave him, but she didn't want anymore secrets or doubts between them.

"Okay..." Ray ran his hands down her thighs and stopped at her knees. "What's up?"

"Mariah... stopped by Enrique's house before I left." Kira let out a short sigh, seeing the look on his face. "She basically told me that you would be exiled from the village by being with me and if you didn't end up marrying her. I just... I don't want to cause you any pain or do that to you."

"Do our families want us to marry? Yes, of course they do. But... I don't really care." Ray shrugged. "They've been holding that over me my entire life, basically. Once my family gets to know you, they'll understand why I chose you over anyone else. You are my one in a million, Kira."

"So... what about you being exiled?"

"I think she was exaggerating a bit to scare you." He smiled. "It's not going to happen. Don't worry so much, okay? If I was worried about anything like that, we'd be having a different discussion."

"I just-..." Kira sighed and felt my nerves setting in, "If we have kids, I want them to know their family. Mine is pretty messed up so..."

"Kira." Ray took her face in his hands and kissed softly kissed her staring into her eyes. "My parents aren't going to throw away their chance of knowing their grandchildren. Family is too important to them, and I have to believe that they trust me to make the right decision." He kissed her deeply again, and she couldn't help but to sigh and softly moan into the kiss. It was so passionate, she pouted when he pulled away. "I really have to get going now to get the groceries, the store is going to close and I don't want to be away from you for too long." He kissed her softly and she sighed, watching him leave. She fell back onto the bed, and traced the pattern of the ceiling with her eyes. It was quiet... more quiet than she had experienced in weeks.

Kira lay on the bed, staring up at the ceiling above her. Ray had been out for some time, and she was nervous that he had changed his mind about being with her. To be fair, he could and she wouldn't really be able to be upset about it. Things had been so back and forth with them, up and down. She heard the door click open and felt a tightening in her chest.

Why was she nervous? It wasn't like her and Ray had never been alone together before. Hell, it had been just a few weeks ago that they had unknowingly made a sex tape.

Ray set some paper bags down on the table by the doorway and walked over to the bed. He looked down at her curiously as her cerulean eyes trailed slowly to look at him. "Uh... are you okay?" He asked her as he leaned over her body. She slightly sat up and sighed.

"This is just surreal, I suppose. After everything last summer, I just... I didn't know if we'd get back here. To us.." Ray stared at her for a second and then gave her a half smile, while softly rubbing her arm.

"Is that why you're laying in a dark room staring at the ceiling?" He chuckled. "I got us some wine, thank God we're in the wine country... and I thought I'd make you something to pair with it."

"You're amazing..." Kira smiled back.

"I do... owe you an apology for what happened last summer.. I was so lost and confused about everything. I was scared of my feelings for you... you have such a hold over me.. it really terrifies me Kira."

"I-I'm sorry.. I truly had no idea-"

"Don't apologize. I didn't mean it in a bad way... it's just my whole life, I thought I was meant to marry and be with Mariah." Kira thought back to her conversation with Mariah and nodded. "But I never had that spark with her. I never really viewed her as more than a friend. From the moment I met you, there was something about you. For a while, you seemed unreachable. On top of that, there is your connection with Johnny. That'll probably never go away, and it's something he will always have with you that I can't compete with..." Ray sighed. "When we broke up after the first tournament, I was sure that we were done... then I saw you again that summer. I didn't know where we stood and... I just wanted to run away, distract myself with anything."

"And that's where Salima came in..." Kira whispered. She felt sick to her stomach thinking back to their relationship, but still continued to listen.

"It wasn't a great decision... but it was the one that I made and I must live with." He patted her leg and smiled. "I gotta get cooking now, or we're never gonna get to eat."

Kira took another sip of her wine, watching Ray put things away in the kitchen. He had made miso butter shrimp with leeks. It was so rich full of flavor, something that she would remember forever. Her head was buzzing and her heart was pounding in her chest. As she watched him, she saw his eyes flicker up to look at her every so often and they held each other's gazes. What was he thinking of? They had just talked for so long. The thin strap of her silky black chemise fell off of her shoulder as Ray wiped his hands dry and walked back over to her. "Well, are you content with dinner?"

"Very..." She whispered. "That was one of the best meals I've ever had... and the fact that you made it for me, makes it all the more special." Ray sat next to her and placed his hand over hers as he slowly ran his hand up her arm, to her bare shoulder.

"I didn't work all those summers in Paris with my uncle for no reason." Kira could tell Ray was definitely a bit tipsy. He didn't drink very often, so when he did, it hit him pretty good. Kira could tell by his eyes, what he was longing for. His hand slowly trailed up to her mouth, and she softly kissed his thumb as it traced her lips. "Kira, I..." he gulped slightly as he took the wine glass out of her hand and set it on the side table next to them. "I don't want to mess things up this time."

"You won't.." She whispered as their lips drew near. She twirled herself onto his lap and their lips met. Ray pulled her body against his, and she could feel his abdominal muscles move underneath the thin cloth of his top. Their kiss was feverish, and electric. Just like everything else about him, he filled her with electricity and excitement. She could feel her body growing hot as he ran his hands underneath her chemise and lifted it up to reveal her naked skin. She shivered against the cool air of the hotel room and pulled back from the kiss. Ray rested his forehead against hers as his hand trailed from her back to her breasts. He moved his head to kiss her neck as he massaged her. Kira groaned softly and could feel her body grinding against his ever present hardness.

"Ray I..." She whispered and he swiftly flipped them so that he was above her as she laid on her back. He removed his own shirt, and Kira admired him with the remaining daylight that shone through the hotel room curtains. "I want you.." He stared tenderly at her for a second before a small smile appeared on his face. Since they had broken up, this was the first time that he could truly feel that she meant it. They had both hurt each other in the past, but there was something new and fresh about them that made it different.

"I am yours, Kira." He leaned in and kissed her again, deeply. Kira wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him to her. Their naked chests touched and Ray reached his hand down and into her silky undergarments. She gasped as he softly rubbed her as he continued to kiss her. She could feel a fire burning inside of her stomach and chest as she tried to keep her composure. "R-ray..." she leaned her head back and he watched her face as she squirmed underneath him. A second later, his mouth was on her nipple and he played with it as he continued to tease her. Kira grasped at the pillow behind her as his fingers expertly drove her mad. She could feel herself getting to her climax, and Ray knew exactly what that sounded like. He gave a small smirk as he moved his hand away from her clit and slid off his pants, tossing them to the side. In her haze, Kira's eyes opened and she saw Ray sitting naked in front of her. She sat up and grasped his manhood in her hand. It was her turn to watch his face and she smirked as he closed his eyes, leaning his head back. She slowly pumped her hand, and leaned forward to take him into her mouth. Ray gasped as he felt her mouth over him and grabbed onto her head. He wasn't pushing on it in any way, but oh man... did it feel amazing. Kira continued to please him for a bit before he grabbed her shoulder, and she sat back.

Ray laid her on her back again and helped her remove her bottoms and and he pushed one of her legs back by her head, fully revealing her to him. It was a good thing she was flexible. He positioned himself at her opening as he stuck two fingers into her and then rubbed at her entrance. They stared into each other's eyes, with nothing but love for each other. Kira felt secure in him, as he did her. "Ray I..."

"Kira I..."

"Love you" they both said at the same time, and Kira couldn't help but giggle, then she gasped as he entered her. Both of their eyes closed shut in ecstasy as another jolt of electricity and pleasure shot through them. As Ray gathered his composure he pumped into her over and over, picking up speed. Having been with Johnny, she knew Ray was a different experience. He was able to move a lot faster than normal men, and she loved it. She was holding on to his shoulders as he rammed himself into her over and over and she couldn't contain her moaning. He carefully lifted her other leg to match and leaned back down to kiss her, with her legs on his shoulders. Kira moaned through the kisses and Ray lifted her up onto him and pounded into her as she moved her body to match his thrusts. Before they both knew it, they climaxed into and onto each other, and Ray released her legs. Kira fell back onto the bed, feeling her heart go a million miles a minute as she stared up at the ceiling again. She felt Ray reach for her hand and allowed his hand to envelop hers.

"I love you Kira.. I really do.." He whispered through hard breaths. And she smiled to herself and sat up to sit next to him. She leaned down and placed a soft peck on his lips.

"I love you too.." Ray let out a deep breath and grabbed her pulling her down to him.

"Ready for round two then?" Kira giggled and kissed him again.

The next morning Kira and Ray spent some time together just laying in bed and reminiscing on things in the past. She told him that she had to fly to Spain early to prepare a show for the next part of the tournament. He had offered to join her, but he also wanted to train some more with Lee before their next match and support their friends. He checked out of the hotel after she left, and spent some time exploring Venice some more before he decided to go back to the teams' hotel.

"Wow.. look at you. All glowy." Kevin snickered as Ray walked in. "Someone definitely got laid."

"Real classy, Kevin." Mariah rolled her eyes, and Ray dropped his bag as soon as he saw her.

"I need to speak with you." His eyes were very serious, and Mariah gulped.

"Shit.." She whispered and stood, following Ray out of the room. "Look whatever Kira told you isn't-" Ray had his arms crossed over his chest, and he put his hand up to stop her.

"Just stop, Mariah. I am beyond done with you sticking your nose where it doesn't belong, which is in my relationship with Kira."

"You're making a huge mistake by being with her, Ray! You may not see it now, but the rest of us do. Sorry if I'm the only one willing to stick my neck out to help you. Once she gets sick of you, she's just gonna run back to Johnny and secure her future. All she cares about is being rich, and her status. Which no offense Ray, but you can't give that to her!" Ray let out a soft, sarcastic laugh.

"Mariah, have you spent more than 2 minutes trying to get to know her? You see her from the outside, but not from the inside. Maybe if you weren't such a raging bitch you two could spend more than a few minutes together and you would understand why I love her so much." Mariah scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"She's never even been to the village to visit, or try to meet your parents."

"Yeah, do you know why that is? Because of you. Because she's afraid of what you've told everyone and doesn't want to have a bad first impression because you're going to be there talking her down every chance you get. She's not stupid Mariah..." Ray sighed and shook his head. "If you can't get over this and be more mature, I'm afraid I'm going to have to end whatever little friendship we have left after this tournament is over." Ray reached in his pocket and pulled out a box and opened it showing it to her. Mariah's breath caught in her chest and she could feel the tears coming to her eyes, and looked back into his eyes. He was staring at her hard, a look she wasn't used to getting from him. Was he insane? "I'm going to ask her to be my wife, and I'm not going to allow you to be in our life if you can't respect her. I'm sorry." Mariah looked back down at the ring. The center stone was a huge aquamarine stone, probably almost half the size of her knuckle with small diamonds surrounding it, as well as covering the band itself.

"You're making a huge mistake. Even if she says yes, there's no way it'll last, Ray. She doesn't love you." Mariah frowned and Ray closed the box, sighing again.

"You can think whatever you want, I happen to know otherwise... you're one of my oldest friends, Mariah. I don't want to lose you... also I'm going to the media in the morning to tell them our engagement was a lie." Ray gave her one more disappointed look and shook his head, going back into their room. Mariah could feel herself shaking. No... no... Kira would not win her battle with Ray after everything. She didn't deserve him. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and looked through a BBA contact list until she found the person she was looking for.

"..." Mariah waited for the phone line to stop ringing until the person on the other end answered.

"Hello?"

"Amara...?" Mariah whispered, looking back at the hotel room, then back out to the beautiful view of Venice that they had.

"Umm.. yes.. who is this?"

"Mariah from the White Tigers... I believe that we have a common goal, and I think that it's time to stop working alone and start working together." There was some muffled noise before Amara responded.

"Sorry about that. I was right next to Johnny so I couldn't talk. I... actually could use some help, now that you mention it. I don't know why I never though to reach out to you." Mariah smiled at the girls' answer and bit her lip. Maybe there was still some hope.
