The next right thing
The least they could do, they decided, was give the poor women a proper burial.
Splinter took it upon himself to prepare the body, hoping to spare his son anymore grief. Not that Donnie did nothing, he went about cleaning and dressing the baby in whatever his brothers could find topside, but Splinter could see the haunted look in his eyes as he did so.
They found a nice spot in the countryside just outside the city, undisturbed by humans. Under the cover of night, they took off in silence. Partly for stealth, but mostly because no one could bring themselves to speak. With help from Slash, the grave was dug in good time and they gently lay the woman down, bowing their heads in respect as Splinter said a prayer in hopes her soul would find peace.
Leo and Raph stood next to each other, both mentally berating themselves. For not keeping better tabs on the Kraang, for not stopping any of this before it started, for not doing so much differently. When they glanced at each other, it was like they could read the others mind, and they didn't like what they saw.
Raph gave his brother's shoulder a nudge, offering a small grin he hoped was comforting. Thankfully it was, and Leo smiled back. Slash watched from behind with a grin of his own, maybe the others weren't that bad at the end of the day, maybe, but they were still dorks.
Mikey was trying his best to keep quiet, but it was hard when all he wanted to do was cry. He knew, realistically, they couldn't save everyone, but that didn't make this easier. A soft, warm touch broke through his thoughts, turning his gaze to see the monkey girl, dressed in an oversized hoodie and shorts he'd found for her, awkwardly holding his hand.
Her head was lowered as well but her gaze was on him, it was clear she was trying to offer him comfort. Mikey gave her a smile in gratitude, shifting so they were holding hands properly.
Donnie was probably doing the worst, it was clear on his face, but he couldn't bring himself care. He looked down at the newborn sleeping peacefully in a sling strapped against his chest, completely unaware they were burying her Mother.
The genius felt his blood boil. First, the Kraang did who knew what to her, then she loses her Mother not even a minuet after taking her first breath? Her life had only begun, what had she done to deserve any this? It was too cruel!
The baby suddenly shifted, making soft noises that drew Donnie out of his rage. He took a breath to calm his nerves and temper as he coaxed her back to sleep. He couldn't dwell on that right now. Right now, he needed to figure out what the Kraang did and what that might mean going forward. That was his priority, she was his priority. He promised her Mother he would protect her and that was a promise he would keep with his life.
Once the prayer was finished, they buried the woman and marked her grave with stones and flowers. As silently as they arrived, the group of mutans pulled themselves away with heavy hearts. If nothing else, they could take comfort in knowing the woman's suffering had ended.
Now came the hard part…moving forward.
"Shhh, I know, I know" Donnie did his best to comfort the baby as she wailed unhappily, wincing as he stuck the needle further into her leg. He hated causing the poor girl pain, but he needed to know what the Kraang did, and the best way to do that was with a blood sample. "It'll be over soon, I promise" he said softly as he drew the sample as quickly as possible.
Once he was done, he cleaned and bandaged the spot and scooped her up, holding her gently. "It's okay, it's over. You're such a brave girl" he said reassuringly as he tried to calm her down. The little one whimpered as her cries came to a stop, snuggling Donnie as he hummed a lullaby Splinter used to sing to him and his brothers.
"Sup Dee" Mikey's voice came from the lab doors as he entered, bottle in hand "how's it going in here?"
Donnie sighed "as good as it can be" he adjusted the baby as he took the bottle with a grateful smile. "How's your new friend doing?" He asked as he began feeding her. Despite all the craziness, Donnie had managed to take a moment to examine the monkey girl his brother had saved. They were relieved to find she was fairly healthy, albeit beaten up and malnourished. She was also surprisingly close to them in age, about fourteen if Donnie had to guess.
"I'm making sure she's sticking to the diet you gave me" Mikey assured him "and I'm keeping a close eye on her injuries as they heal." He fiddled with his hands as he frowned "she's still not doing so hot, you know…" he motioned to his head "I mean she's doing better than Leatherhead, but…"
"That's understandable" Donnie said softly "I'll try and get around to looking at her again, I don't know when, but I will."
Mikey's frowned deepened as he watched Donnie, it was clear he wasn't alright. Why would he be? He lost Metalhead and watched that woman die on the operating table in the same night. He couldn't even begin to imagine what his brother must be going through, and yet here he was, powering through to take care of the baby while trying to figure out the Kraang's scheme.
It was too much, even for a genius like Donnie.
"Hey man, don't worry about it" Mikey said with the best smile he could muster "I can take care of her, no problem."
Donnie looked at his younger brother skeptically. "Are you sure?" He asked carefully, it wasn't that he didn't trust either of them, but he knew how unpredictable emotional trauma and PTSD could make a person. Not by their own choice of course, but it was still something to be mindful of.
"Yeah dude, I tots got this. I took care of Leatherhead, didn't I?"
That wasn't very reassuring, but he had been doing a pretty good job of looking after her thus far. "Well…alright" Donnie said reluctantly "but don't hesitate to come to me for help, either of you. I'll make the time."
"You got it Dee!" Mikey promised, taking a quick second to coo at the baby before exiting.
Donnie smiled and shook his head; it was obvious his baby brother had taken a shine to the new mutant. "I think Mikey's got a little crush" he whispered to the baby cheekily.
Once he left the lab, Mikey stopped by the kitchen and grabbed some fruit for the monkey girl, specifically oranges and grapefruit. She wasn't crazy about bananas, he'd asked. So far, she was reluctant to leave his room and barely interacted with the others, heck, he was pretty sure she was still getting used to him. Not that he could blame her, she hadn't talked about what she'd been through yet, but he didn't doubt it was bad if Leatherheads testament was anything to go by.
He shook his head; it wasn't good to dwell on that now, just take things one step at a time. "Sup dudette" he greeted her as he entered his room, or was it more like their room at the moment?
Oh snap, it just hit him…there was a girl in his room.
He quickly shook the blush away, definitely don't dwell on that right now. He'd made sure to keep his voice down and speak slowly so to not startle her, but despite his efforts, she still jumped from where she sat on his bed. "Hello, Michelangelo" she greeted softly with a nod, her eyes lighting up when she saw the bowl of fruit.
Mikey chuckled "you gotta let me make you a pizza when you're off Dee's diet. And just Mikey's cool" he said as he took a seat at the end of the bed, making sure to keep his distance. He handed her the bowl and watched as she ate, taking small, cautious bites so the food would last longer. Because who knew when her next meal would be. Stupid Kraang.
"…My Mom was part Chinese" he suddenly said, catching her attention. He didn't know why he'd said that, he just wanted to fill the silence "h-her name was Tang Shen, her Grandfather was from China." He looked down sadly "she…she's not around anymore."
"…What was she like?" She asked carefully, catching on to the meaning behind his words.
"We never got to meet her. But our Dad Splinter, the rat dude, he told us all about her. S-she was really nice from the sound of it."
"I'm sorry, truly I am…how is your brother and the cub?"
"All good for now" Mikey said cheerfully, at least she was asking about the others. That was progress, right?
"Your still concerned about him" she said sympathetically.
Mikey's smile fell "yeah" he sighed "Donnie's got a habit of acting okay when he aint." He looked down at his lap "I think its cause he's the smartest, so he thinks he has to have all the answers. Actually Leo, you remember him, blue bandana? He doses the same thing cause he's the oldest and the leader. And the more I think about it Raph, red bandana, dose it too cause he's the strongest and thinks he has to be tough all the time." He sighed "I guess they all kind of do it for whatever reason. I mean, I get it-"
"And you?" Mikey stopped and looked at the monkey girl. She was gazing at him with a soft, caring expression "you like to keep your family in high spirits, its admirable but…this has been hard on you too" she hesitantly placed her hand over his "are you okay?"
Mikey stared at her, stunned, tears already beginning to fall before he could stop them. "Actually, I uh…I've been a whole lot better" he confessed, scrubbing his eyes as his voice cracked. She didn't speak, just let him quietly shed the tears he'd been holding back. He'd saved her and shown her kindness, the least she could do was return the favor. After a bit, Mikey began to calm down and let out a breath "thanks" he said softly.
"Don't be so hard on yourself, I have faith you will put a stop to them" she assured him with a smile, Mikey smiling back.
"Heh, glad one of us still thinks so" he chuckled, the two smiled at each other before looking away, blushing madly. "So" Mikey coughed "I've been meaning to ask, I heard you mention some "Great Sage" guy back there? Who's that?"
"Ah, that would be Sun Wukong the Monkey King. He is known as the Great Sage equal to Heaven. A well-known figure in Chinese folklore" she explained.
Mikey's eyes sparkled in awe "wow, so what his story?"
She smiled, scooting closer to him "it starts in a place called Flower Fruit Mountain…"
"So he really kicked every butt in the Celestial Realm right after being burned alive for forty-nine days?!" Mikey cried in amazement, earning a giggle from the monkey "dude you gotta tell Leo and Raph this story!"
"THOSE PSYCOPATHIC MONSTERS!" Everyone jumped at Donnie's sudden cry of rage. The family quickly rushed to the lab, Mikey giving his guest a reassuring smile as he did. When they arrived, they found Donnie attempting to sooth the now crying baby "shh, I'm sorry, shh."
"Donatello" Splinter called out, getting his sons attention "what troubles you?"
Donnie sighed as he stood up from the makeshift crib "I finally got the results of her blood work" he explained, motioning to the child. "But it…it doesn't make any sense!" He cried, keeping his voice down so not upset the baby further.
"What doesn't?" Leo asked patently.
Donnie began to pace, his emotional state a mix of rage and anxiety "the baby, she…she's not completely human…" he confessed "…her cellular makeup is a morphogenesic blend of human and…and Kraang DNA."
His brothers felt a shiver go down their backs. "What…what does that mean?" Mikey dared to ask, not liking where this was going as his and the rest of their families own anxiety began to rise.
Donnie stopped, looking at them with an expression they couldn't quiet place. "It means…she's half human, half alien mutant" he said, not believing the words himself even as they left his mouth. His brothers stared at him in disbelief, even their Father was at a loss. Their attention went to the little baby laying in her crib. She looked perfectly human, fair skinned, a small patch of black hair. True, her aqua eyes were a bit odd but not unheard of. Nothing about her screamed alien.
"H-how?" Was all Raph could say.
"If I had to guess, they must have subjected her to some kind of genetic manipulation" Donnie explained the best he could "they might have done the same to her Mother to ensure the genetics passed on."
"And that lady said there were others like her" Mikey remembered "were they trying to make those kids part alien mutant too?"
"Most likely" Donnie confirmed "but for whatever reason those failed while she was, apparently, supposedly, successful."
"And they called her a backup experiment" Leo mused "so what does that mean? What's she a backup for?"
"I don't know!" Donnie cried, unable to hold back his anger anymore. "I mean wh-why?! What does this accomplish?! Why would they do this?!" He suddenly turned and punched a nearby wall, causing his brothers to step back in shock.
Donnie panted as he glared at the wall, not caring that his knuckles were beginning to sting or bleed. He was broken out of his fury when two strong but gentle hands took his in theirs, his attention going to his Fathers calm face. "Your anger is understandable, Donatello" Splinter said, rubbing his son's hand as he guided him to his chair "what they've done is unforgivable, regardless of the reason. However, you cannot let that anger blind you."
Donnie sighed as he sat down "I-I know Sensei" he said, letting Splinter tend to his hand. "I just…its just not fair" he continued "I don't know why they would do this, but I know it can't be good. It's not enough the Kraang took away her Mother, they did this to her? Who knows how this will manifest as she grows, what they could've wanted her for, she's barely lived and they…it's just not fair."
Splinter nodded with a hum "life is rarely fair my son, and you are correct that this child's story has not had a happy beginning." He lifted Donnie's chin once his hand was bandaged "but tragedy does not define who she is or will be" he smiled "you and your brothers taught me that."
This finally got the genius to smile as his Father hugged him. "Do you think you could figure out what the extent of her mutation is, Donnie?" Leo asked carefully, not wanting to upset his brother further.
Donnie sighed as he pulled away from Splinter "I might…but I can't make any promises. Goodness knows finding a retro-mutagen has been harder than I'd like. If nothing else, I want to find the answer for her sake."
"Just do your best Dee" Mikey assured him with a grin "if anybody can do it, it's you." Donnie returned his brothers smile as the family left his lab, Splinter giving his shoulder one last pat as he did. The baby began to fuss just as Mikey stared to leave, prompting Donnie to take out a small, wooden music box from a drawer "isn't that the birthday present you were making for April?"
Donnie winced at the name "well, yeah…but I don't see why she can't borrow it" he said as he sat it down by the crib and opened the lid. She cooed happily at the music, earning a chuckle from the tech wiz "yeah, you like that, huh?" He said playfully, waving a finger above her much to her amusement.
Mikey watched the two with a smile, it'd been a while since he'd seen Donnie this happy and relaxed. The baby seemed to really like him too. It was nice, especially after everything they'd been through.
"What happened Raph?" Slash asked as Leo and his old owner reappeared in the living room. It wasn't like he'd never heard Donnie yell before, but he'd never heard him yell like that. He could've given Raph a run for his money just now.
Raph sighed in aggravation "its bad Slash, real bad" he made a b-line for the dummy and began taking out his frustration with harsh punches. "They made the kid some kind of human-alien mutant hybrid" he hissed "that's probably what they were doing to the others. What they might still be doing."
"…Shit."
Leo looked at his brother curiously "you think they're still experimenting on women and babies?"
"I mean…it makes sense, right?" Slash said awkwardly with a shrug "that lady said there were more besides her, and we don't know if the kid turned out how they wanted, they didn't. Why wouldn't there be more?"
"Especially if so many of them failed" Raph spat. Leo frowned, he hadn't considered this in the heat of the moment and quite frankly, the thought made too much sense and left him feeling nausea.
It also made his trigger finger itch.
Before he knew it, he was heading towards the exist. "Hey, where are you going?" Raph called out.
"Out" was all he said, not bothering to look back.
Raph felt a pit of dread form in his stomach as he quickly jogged up to his leader. He knew that tone, hell, he practically invented it. "Leo, don't" he said firmly "I know, okay, there's nothing I'd love more then to burn every Kraang alive right now, but don't." He put his hands on Leo's shoulders, bringing him to a stop "we will put a stop to whatever they're doing, but not like this. Come on bro, we need our leader, we need you."
Slash looked between them anxiously; it was strange to see them in the opposite roles. It was true, what Raph was saying. As much as he wanted to beat those brains senseless, going in guns a blazing would do more harm than good right now.
Thankfully, Leo was more willing to listen to reason then Raph. It took a few seconds, but eventually the tension left his body. He placed a hand over one of Raph's, still on his shoulder "thanks Raph" he whispered, resting his head against his brothers.
"Anytime Lame-o-nardo" Raph said softly "you don't have to fight alone."
"You don't have to fight alone either" Leo reminded him as well "we can be strong for you too." Raph snorted; figure Fearless Leader was reading his mind again. For once however, he couldn't find it in him to complain.
"I know, just need a reminder now and again is all."
"And I can double that strength" Slash announced suddenly, approaching the brothers with a look of determination. His gaze fell onto Leo, staring for a few seconds before giving a nod "for the lot of yah, so what's the plan, Fearless?"
Leo smiled sadly, as grateful as he was, their words left him with little reassurance. "I don't think the five of us will be enough" he confessed with a sigh "especially if what Mikey said about the Kraang operating outside of New York is true." He pulled away from Raph and rubbed his chin "maybe if April was still talking to us…" he trailed off as an idea struck him "…you wouldn't happen to know any mutants who'd be willing to help take the Kraang down a peg, would you?" He asked the giant turtle.
Slash crossed his arms with a smirk "I might."
"Perfect, when Mikey gets a chance, I'll ask him to help me find Leatherhead."
"I'm thinking army?" Raph asked, starting to get excited.
"I'm thinking army."
Donnie sighed as he stretched his stiff back, making sure to keep hold of the baby in her sling. It wasn't easy working with an infant, but he made due. It was nice to have someone to talk to, even if she didn't understand a word of it. At least he wouldn't have to worry about her going on a rampage…he hoped.
He frowned as he tapped his pencil against his lips. After Leo told them his plan, he'd began storming up whatever he could that might aide them. "This would so much easier if our technology was as advanced as theirs" he muttered bitterly, all that technical wonder could do so much to benefit humanity, and instead it was being used to harm it.
Maybe he could do some good with it? There were plenty of aloof, eccentric inventors that hid away from the public eye, right? If he could just gain a better understanding of it…
Gurgling caught his attention and he looked down at the baby. She was staring at him with her little hand in her mouth, it was so adorable he couldn't not smile. "You know what this is?" He asked playfully, tapping the pencil against the paper, she cooed "that's right! It's a mecha! Oh, you're so clever, yes you are!" He said as he tickled her, making them both laugh.
From the lab's door, his brothers watched the exchange "so…is she like, staying? You know, permanently?" Mikey asked "not complaining bros, just wondering."
Leo and Raph glanced at each other. It'd been about a month that Donnie had been taking care of the baby while simultaneously studying her, although the latter had come to a halt. Understandably so, Donnie himself had said he couldn't predict what or how the alien mutant DNA would manifest while she was still so young despite his efforts.
"I think a better question is should she stay" Raph said, crossing his arms.
"And why is that, Raphael?" Splinter asked as he approached them.
Raph bit the inside of his cheek; he knew his Father was setting him up and he needed to approach with caution. "Well…I just think…maybe…it would be good for Donnie if she didn't" he explained carefully "I mean let's face" he continued, finding his gusto "with all the drama going on with April, the last thing he needs to be doing is replacing her."
"Replacing her?" Mikey repeated in disbelief, staring at his brother like he'd grown another head.
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't see what you're talking about" Leo agreed reluctantly "it might be healthier for him to not get so attached."
"Exactly. Face it, it's been over a month, there's a good chance April's not coming back and if he's gonna get over her-"
"THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH APRIL!" Mikey suddenly shouted. The two older ninjas stared at him in shock, even Splinter was taken aback by his youngest outburst. Michelangelo rarely lost his temper, but when he did, it could be quite jarring.
Almost instantly, Donnie came rushing out of the lab, baby still in her sling. "What happened?! Why is Mikey yelling?!" He asked franticly while comforting the distress infant. As he looked between his family members for answers, Slash and the monkey girl came running into the room looking equally startled.
"Oof, must be bad if tiny's the one pissed" Slash mumbled to his fellow observer.
"Mikey-" Leo reach out to calm his youngest brother, but he just pulled away.
"Donnie's been miserable since that night with the Kraang! The only time I see him happy anymore is when he's with the baby!" He cried, tears falling down his face as anger mixed with sadness and desperation "why are trying to take that away from him?!"
Leo and Raph flinched, he wasn't entirely wrong; they had noticed how different Donnie had been since that night. It was like he wasn't fully present anymore, just going through the motions. They also couldn't deny he was more like himself when he was with the baby currently in his unofficial care.
Donnie was at his brother's side in an instant, rubbing his shell. "Mikey, beath" the genius looked towards the rest of their family "dose someone want to catch me up?" He asked with a sharp tone.
There was silence as Leo debated on telling him, not wanting to make the situation worse. "Fine, I'll say it" Raph spoke up, ignoring Leo's warning gestures "we think you're getting too attached to that kid" he pointed to the baby, who stared at him "look, I'm just as upset about April as you are, really I am, but you can't just go replacing her with the kid!"
"Wha-I'm not doing that! She's a baby Raph! She needs to be looked after twenty-four-seven!"
"And that someone just has to be you, right?"
"No! Mikey and Princess have helped take care of her plenty of times!"
"Princess?" Both Leo and Raph looked at him in confusion.
"That would be me" the monkey girl, Princess apparently, suddenly spoke up.
"It's the name I gave her" Mikey explained, scrubbing his eyes "she's cool with it."
Princess nodded "it's true, I am. And it's true, we have watched over the cub for Donatello a number of times. Usually so he can nap, eat, bathe…"
"Its actually easier to get him to take a break from the baby then the lab" Mikey added, beginning to calm down a little. "Sensei's taken care of her lots too" he pointed to Splinter, who nodded in agreement.
Leo and Raph felt their faces heat up in embarrassment. They hadn'tactually known any of that, they'd been so absorbed in their own woes, they'd only paid so much attention to their younger brothers. They didn't even know Mikey had named the new mutant. "Oh" was all Leo could say, while Raph tried to look anywhere else "we…didn't realize."
"Yeah well, you two are welcome to help out any time" Donnie snapped in irritation before sighing "but I understand you've been busy trying to come up with a plan and getting reinforcements, which is why I haven't asked."
"Okay, ouch" Raph mumbled guiltily "but I still think-"
"Raphael, was is" Princess interrupted as she walked up to him, arms crossed and gaze sharp "with all due respect, it sounds less like you're concerned for your brother and more like you're the one who wants to avoid getting attached."
"Excuse me?!" He sputtered in rage, but she didn't even flinch "look you don't know the whole situation-!"
"Mikey filled me in" she cut him off.
"…Alright fine, but you still don't know what you're talking about!"
"No? Then tell me this…did your Shifu use the four of you to replace the wife and child he lost?"
Raph froze, feeling like he'd been sucker punched, they all did. He opened his mouth to responded, but couldn't. He couldn't argue no matter how much he wanted too. Princess turned to Splinter with a look of guilt. "Forgive me, Shifu" she apologized sincerely, seeing the pain in his eyes "I truly meant no harm or offence."
Splinter took a breath and placed a hand on her shoulder "I understand, you are forgiven" he assured her.
Leo looked back at Donnie, taking in his current state for the first time. It was beginning to sink in how much he'd been letting him slip through the cracks "Donnie, I'm sorry. I'm just worried about you. I know its too late to be asking this but…are you doing okay?"
Donie flinched, they all saw it "I'm fine Leo, I just have a lot to get done" was it their imagination or was he trembling? "If the Kraang really are doing this to more women and babies, we need to be better prepared if we're going to save them. I need to be better prepared I…I can't let anymore end up orphans like her."
"Donnie…" again, Leo tried to reach for his brother but was denied as he stepped back "…hey, it's going to be alright-"
"How?! How do you know that?!" Donnie demanded desperately, tears now streaming down his face. "She just…she just died Leo! I-I was r-right t-there! A-and I…I c-couldn't…" without warning, Donnie fell to his knees and began to cry, cradling the confused baby.
Instantly, Splinter was next to his son, holding him tightly. "There was nothing more you could've done, my son" he assured him gently as he cried "you did everything you could, that could've been done." Splinter's heart ached as he spoke, it was times like these he wondered if letting them go to the surface had been a mistake, it killed him to see his sons carrying such burdens.
Leo, Raph, and Mikey watched, their own eyes stinging and throats becoming tight as the weight of the ordeal finally crashed down on them. One by one, they joined their brother and Father in a huddle and allowed their own tears to fall. It was long before Princess and Slash were a part of the hug too, Princess leaning against Mikey while Slash rubbed Raph's shell.
The family stayed like that for a while, desperately trying to hold each other up.
"You know, she's probably more attached to Donnie then he is to her" Mikey said after a minuet of silence. The brothers had decided to camp out in the pit that night, not wanting to be alone after such an emotionally draining day. They'd even removed their masks in a rare show of vulnerability. Splinter was set up nearby in case his sons needed him, and Slash and Princess were just outside the pit, giving them space. "I think she's impaled on you."
Donnie snorted "you mean imprinted?" As Mikey nodded, he hummed thoughtfully, staring down at the baby as Leo fed her. It wasn't unheard of in human children, they could recognize their primary caregivers, even at a young age. Look how kids many grew more attached to their nannies or older siblings that watched over them. "Maybe she would be better off on the surface" he mumbled with sigh "she at least looks human; she could easily have a normal life."
"Cept she'll always be looking over her shoulder for the Kraang" Mikey reminded them.
"We could hook her up with a T-phone" Raph suggested "show her a few moves."
"We'll figure it out one step at a time" Leo said, looking Donnie dead in the eye "you made a promise to keep her safe, and one way or another, we're going to keep it." Donnie smiled, it was a small, tired one, but a real smile no less "either way, we probably should give a real name" he handed her back to the tech wiz "any ideas?"
Donnie hummed as he adjusted his hold on her "I do have one name I've been toying with" he confessed.
"I could name her" Mikey said cheerfully, grunting when Raph threw a pillow at him.
"You'll just call her "Mikey Junor" or something equally stupid" he scoffed.
"Would not!" Mikey pouted, throwing the pillow back at the hot head. It wasn't long until they were in a full-blown pillow fight with Leo trying to stop them. It didn't help when Slash and Princess joined in, taking obvious sides. Splinter shook his head with a smile, happy to see his sons in higher spirits.
Donnie chuckled as he got up, shielding the now sleeping baby as he brought her over to her crib. Gently, he placed her down without waking her, and looked back at his brothers. Leo was right, they'd figure out the best course of action one way or another.
No matter what, they would keep their promise and be there for her.
"Not the noogie!" Mikey cried as Raph got the upper hand. Donnie laughed and turned back to the sleeping child with a found sigh.
"Oh, welcome to this incredibly weird family…Venus."
I just want to make clear right now that there will be no Tcest.
Mama don't go that way.
I didn't say it in the first chapter, but yes, Princess was inspired by the Monkey King. I got really into Lego Monkie Kid last summer, still am, and she was born as a result. I have a few Monkie Kid fanfics planed actually, the first hopefully being out soon if anyone's interested.
Until then however, have a happy Halloween!
BTW I now officially own the complete 2012 series on DVD, yay me!
