Day 13

I don't want to wake up. I feel dizzy. I don't want to wake up. I feel dizzy. "Lincoln... wake up," Lola's voice rang through my ears. I'm dizzy. It hurts my brain. I have to wake up. I pulled down my blanket, and I saw her face red. "I don't feel good Lincoln," Lola groaned. I can see that.

"You alright?" I asked. For some odd reason, I don't get what she was seeing. I felt like I was contradicting myself.

"No, I don't feel so good," Lola groaned again as her eyes started to cry. I feel dizzy. What the fuck did I eat last night? "I feel dizzy Lincoln," Lola cried.

"Stay here, I'll go get Luna," I said as I got up. The moment I was on my two feet, I could feel my blood rush. I felt sick. I wanted to vomit. I'll do it later. I walked to Luna's cot, and I pulled on her curtains. She was still sleeping. MY headache was getting worse. Fuck it. I woke her up. It was immediate, her reaction. She looked at me confused, dazed, crazed. It was as if she came back from death.

"L... Lincoln? Is that you?" Luna asked as she rubbed her eyes. "God damn, what time is it? Fuck, my head hurts," Luna groaned as she sat up on her cot.

"I don't know, Lola's not feeling well too," I said.

"What did I ate last night?" She swallowed her own vomit. "Fuck, ugh, that's- damn," She coughed. She grabbed her crutches and slowly she stood up, but she couldn't. She fell to the floor. "Is the floor always this unstable?" She groaned as she sat on the floor. "Help me up," She raised her hand to me. I grabbed it, and I pulled her up. She couldn't stand. "Fuck, why do I feel so tired?" Luna cussed as she fell again. I see the sweat on her face. "Let me rest a bit, fuck, what the hell's going on?" I see her face looking more and more confused. I turned around and I saw Lola asleep, I don't want to disturb her, she's in pain. I'm in pain too, but she's a kid.

I went to Lana who's sleeping a few feet away from Lola, and I shook her up. She jumped up and she looked at me as if I killed her pets. "WHAT?!" She yelled.

"I was- I was just checking on you..." Fuck, I forgot what I was about to say. "I- I-"

"Why is your face so red Lincoln?" Lana asked. I couldn't think. My brain felt like mush. I felt like dinner. What the fuck does that even mean? Whoa. It feels weird.

"I don't- I don't know. Why is your face red?" I asked her. It was red.

"Is it?" She asked me. She look irritated. "I need to do something, I'm feeling restless," Lana said, as she got up and walked to the backroom.

What the fuck is going on? I felt heavy. I need a drink. I went to the backroom, I saw Lana doing something, but I don't want to disturb her, so I just grab the water and walk back to Luna. She was still on the floor. Her eyes were wide open. I opened the bottle and took a long sip. I passed the bottle to her, and she raised her hand to take it. But when I passed it to her, her hand couldn't grab it and it fell. Spilling water all over the floor. Quickly I grabbed it.

"I'm sorry, I- I can't hold it, I feel so tired," Luna groaned. As she wiped some of the spilled water on her pants. "Why is it so hot?" She groaned as she took her hoodie off. I could see the sweat on her body. What the hell is going on? It is hot. Why is it this hot? It's supposed to be winter. I sat down beside Luna, and I took another sip from the bottle. Luna looked thirsty too, slowly, I sat the bottle's mouth on her mouth. She chugged it down. "Thanks," She said.

I took the bottle back and screwed its lid back on. I didn't want to get up. I felt too tired. So I crawled to Lola. I pulled on her leg and woke her up.

"What?" Lola asked, confused.

"Water," I gave her the bottle. She took it. And she drank it all before throwing it to the side and going back to sleep. I sighed. What the hell is wrong with us today?

I sat down beside Luna for not even half an hour when I figured out that my breath felt heavy. It felt as if someone was choking me. I felt my heart beating faster and faster. The headache was getting worse. I looked at Luna and I saw her passed out, sweat flowed down her face. I shook her, and she woke up. She was confused.

"Luna, is your heart beating fast?" I asked her, it was hard to speak, it was as if someone is shoving a sock in my mouth. She didn't answer, she just looked at me blankly. "Luna?" I gave her a light slap. She didn't even blink. I placed my finger on her chest, and I could feel it beating hard. We're choking. We don't have enough air. Panic. Frantically, I got up and went to the backroom to check on Lana. She was there, passed out on the floor. Quickly, I went to vent. I placed my hand on the grill. No wind. Not even a slight bit of air. Lily, I need to check on Lily. No, I need to see break it first. No, Lily. I ran to Lily, and I felt her chest. Her heart is beating fast. I need to be fast.

Did Lana sealed it shut? I need to break it. I really need to break it. I grabbed the gun from Luna's pocket and I fired a shot into the vent. A hole punctured the reinforced grill. Quickly I sat my face in front of it to get air. Nothing. No air.

"Lincoln, what was that?" Luna asked. The gunshot woke her up.

"Luna, don't talk much, we don't have enough air, there's something blocking the vents." I said. I grabbed a metal pipe from Lana's pile and I inserted it inside the gunshot hole, with the pipe inserted, I pushed it like a lever. Trying to open it. Luna got up slowly, and helped me push it. We pushed and pushed and pushed. We were out of breath, out of air. We could feel our lungs become emptier as our breath became choppier.

"Push!" Luna wheezed. We pushed and pushed and BANG! The grills ripped. It was empty inside. I grabbed the spray can Lana left beside vent cover and crawled in. "Be careful, Linc" Luna struggled to say. I nodded. We need air.

I crawled and crawled through the dust. Then the path went up, thank God Lisa placed a ladder here. I climbed up and finally, I saw the outward facing vent grill. It had claw marks and the grill was teared, the fan was also destroyed. I couldn't see the outside. There is something covering the hole, sealing it. I took the spray can out of my pocket, and I shot a spray out. The thing shriveled, and shrieked loudly. It ran. As it ran, I felt the cold winter air met my face. The thing turned back and looked through the vent. It was fake Leni. The face turned angry and it clawed in. I sprayed it again, causing it to cry in pain. I don't want to die today. Quickly, I turned around and I crawled back inside. I felt my heart beating harder and harder as it screamed and screamed for me.

"COME BACK HERE LITTLE GUY!" It cried, the voice was of a demon from Wrath. I don't want to die today. Not today. I sprayed her again and fell down the place I climbed up from. It hurts. But I rather get hurt than die.

"LUNA PULL ME!" I screamed as I got near the grill. I crawled and crawled and finally, Luna dragged me by my arms. Fake Leni was still chasing me. But at least now we got air.

I could see Luna's pale face meeting the air. "Give me the can, I'll cover here, go wake Lana and Lola up!" Luna ordered. Her logic is coming back. I gave her the bottle, and I ran to the backroom. Lana was still on the floor. Quickly I woke her up. She saw my face, and she got the air in.

"What the hell happened?" She asked as she rubbed her eyes.

"Breach, grab your stuff, let's go!" I told her. Her eyes shot up. She grabbed a weird backpack thing with a stick attached via cable and saddled it on. She followed me back to the common room and she stood beside the vent hole. I went to Lola. She won't wake up. She can't wake up. Fuck. Never mind her. I grabbed my hockey stick, and I stood on the other side of the vent. The banging in the vent grew louder as it got closer. I clenched my hands tight

"COME HERE FOOD! COME TO ME!" It screamed. Just as its head came out of the vent, I hit it and Lana stabbed the stick in her hands into its face and pulled the trigger, electric flowed into the creature's head. It screamed but it didn't do any damage. With its arm out it grabbed Lana's leg. Squashing the bones in her leg. Lana screamed. Luna sprayed the creature's face with the can and I could see it melt. It tried to retreat back as it let Lana go. But I didn't want it to get away. So I grabbed it by its melting face and dragged it out. Adrenaline is a bitch. Luna continued to spray it with the bug spray. and before we knew it. The thing was dead. Lily cried. For the first time today.

"FUCK YOU!" Lana screamed as she held onto her leg. It was absolutely crushed. She cried.

Luna sat the can down and ran to Lana. There wasn't any blood, but the bones crushed were obvious. "We can fix it, we just need to put a splint on it," Luna said as she took Lana's shoe off.

"Fuck off Luna, it can't be fixed."

"We- We can chop it off! We can-" Luna took her belt off to apply a tourniquet, but Lana slapped her.

"It won't happen, I'll die from the bleeding!"

"No you won't! We can cauterize your wounds! We can!" Luna tried to convince Lana, but Lana didn't care.

"We don't have the supplies for it woman!" Lana yelled at Luna's face as tears flowed down both of their faces. "Just, shoot me Luna, please," Lana smiled.
