Weiss Schnee has not had it easy ever since you came to Beacon Academy. Ever since she arrived at the school for future huntsman, an annoying brat in the form of Ruby Rose has been a constant pain in her neck. Not only did she accidentally explode them at the front gate, but she also ended up somehow becoming her partner for the next 4 years after running into her. It that wasn't bad enough, because of Ruby they were now on the body of a Nevermore high up in the sky.
"Ruby, I told you this was a terrible idea!"shouted Weiss, angry that Ruby talked her into getting on to the Nevermore.
"We're fine! Stop worrying!"replied Ruby.
"I'm so beyond worrying!"retorted Weiss.
"In a good way?"questions Ruby, with a bit of hope in her voice as she's been wanting to be friends with Weiss ever since they got here, but the heiress hasn't made it easy one bit.
"In a bad way! in a very bad way."replied Weiss as loud as she could, that way Ruby didn't get the wrong idea.
"Then why don't we just jump!"suggested Ruby, causing Weiss to look at her as if she was insane.
"What are you?! Insane."shouted Weiss, who didn't get a reply as Ruby had already jumped off the nevermore...!
"Oh, you insufferable little red!"shouted Weiss, angry that she had been left behind and by the fact that Ruby actually did her crazy plan.
Meanwhile, on the ground Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older half sister and her new partner, Blake Belladonna had just reached the ruins where the relics AKA chess pieces were located.
"Blake, did you hear something?"said Yang, in which Blake responded by pointing up to the sky.
Yang looked up to see her little sister falling from the sky!
"Heads up!"shouting Ruby, before she was knocked out of the sky by Jaune and Koraidon, courtesy of the paradox Pokemon's extreme jumping ability.
"Phew... that was a close one!"said Jaune, before he realized that he was holding Ruby like a princess.
This made him uncomfortable, and was very relieved the fact that Ruby was confused by the whole thing as she appeared to be dizzy.
"Ah, what was that?"asked Ruby, not noticing Jaune get down from his Pokemon so he can let her back on the floor.
"Did your sister just fall from the sky? And was she just rescued by a guy riding a giant red lizard?"questions Blake, but before Yang could respond, more craziness happened.
Within seconds of Blake asking her question, several trees nearby were knocked to the ground as a giant Ursa came barreling through the forest. It look like it was ready to attack the group, before it fell to the floor, where was revealed that a girl with orange hair had been riding it like a pony...?
"Ah, it's broken."said the orange haired girl with disappointment, before she went over to inspect the Ursa.
A boy about her age wearing what could be described as traditional clothing infused with modern clothing appeared soon after, clearly out of breath.
"Nora, please... don't ever do that again."said the boy, before he noticed that the girl named Nora was nowhere...as she literally disappeared from the spot she was just standing on a moment earlier...?
"Oh..."said Nora, who is now near the ruins and had grab one of the golden chess pieces.
"I'm Queen of the castle, I'm Queen of the castle, I'm Queen of the castle!"sang Nora over and over again.
"Nora!"shouted the young man, who's clearly had enough of Nora's antics for one day.
"Hehehe, coming Ren."said the girl, before she made her way over to the guy named Ren.
"Did that girl just ride in on an Ursa?"questions Blake, unable to believe what just happened.
"Uh..."said Ruby, before even more craziness happened when a giant deathstalker appeared out of the woods.
"Ah man! I thought we lost that giant overgrown bug type."said Jaune, revealing that the deathstalker was after him and Koraidon!
"When and how did that thing chase you?"questions Pyrrha, wondering when her new partner was being chased by a deathstalker, specifically an ancient deathstalker!
"Well..."said Jaune, who began recalling what happened.
(Flashback)
Jaune and Koraidon were standing in front of what appeared to be an ancient looking cave. It had all the signs that it was abandoned, but Jaune had a theory that maybe Mew was in there.
"I know it's probably a bad idea to go into that cave. But what if that mischievous mythical Pokemon is in there. I mean I found it in a cave, so it would make sense to find it again in a cave!"said Jaune, causing the paradox Pokemon to wonder how he came to such a leap of logic.
"Flaaffy, I choose you!"shouted Jaune as he pulled out a pokeball, before he tossed it.
The pokeball open up to release a pink, bipedal, ovine Pokemon. It has thick, conical ears with black stripes on the sides of its head and small, blue eyes. A white mane of wool covers its head and upper body. This mane forms sideways curls on the top of its head. It has stubby arms and one nail on each foot. Flaaffy's long tail has black stripes and is tipped with a blue orb.
"Use discharge!"ordered Jaune, causing the wool Pokemon to look at the cave before he unleashed a blast of electricity into the cave.
"A preemptive strike is always the best way to go!"said Jaune, who heard something coming out of the cave and was excited to see if it was Mew or not.
That excitement quickly disappeared as soon saw a giant overgrown bug type that he would later learn is called a deathstalker come out of the cave, clearly agitated that it had been shot with electricity!
"Okay, that was a bad idea!"said Jaune, before he recalled the wool Pokemon.
"Run!"shouted Jaune, causing the paradox Pokemon to quickly run as fast as it could away from the giant overgrown bug type.
(End of Flashback)
"Yeah... not my greatest moment."said Jaune, who now that he thought about it realized it was a dumb thing to do.
"Oh dear."said Pyrrha, who was wondering if her partner was sort of an idiot.
"Did that guy piss off a Deathstalker?"questions Blake, before Yang exploded in a metaphorical sense.
"I can't take it anymore! Will everyone just chill out for 2 seconds before something crazy happens again!"shouted Yang, before she began taking deep breaths to calm herself down.
Two seconds past and her sister walked towards her, before she began tugging on her jacket.
"Um, sis."said Ruby, causing Yang to wonder what it was, before Ruby pointed to the sky.
Where it was revealed that Weiss was hanging on to the nevermore's talon!
"How could you leave me?!"shouted Weiss, as she was hanging on for dear life.
"I said jump."said Ruby in her defense, as everyone gathered near the ruins.
"She's going to fall."said Blake with a deadpan expression.
"She'll be fine."said Ruby, who believed in her partner.
"She's falling."said Ren, who also had a deadpan expression.
"Oh, For the Love of Arceus!"said Jaune, before he pulled out another pokeball."Staravia, I choose you!"
This confuse the group looking at him as he threw the pokeball into the air, causing it to open up and release a creature from inside. Out of the pokeball came a grayish-brown, avian Pokémon with black and white markings. Its head and upper body are primarily black with an "M"-shaped pattern over its white chest. On its forehead is a grayish-brown spot, which is smaller on the female. On its face is a white, mask-like marking with a pattern of spikes along the lower edge. It has small, black eyes with white pupils and a long, orange beak with a black tip. On the back of its head is a long tuft of feathers, which curves forward. The lower halves of its wings are black, and it has black tail feathers with a single white feather in the center. Its orange, anisodactyl feet have black talons.
"Staravia, grab the girl!"shouting Jaune while pointing to the sky, specifically at Weiss!
The starling pokémon quickly did as his trainer commanded, and flew towards the white haired girl before he grabbed her in mid-air by holding her by her jacket. Weiss was relieved to have been saved, before she noticed that her savior was some kind of large bird that she has never seen before.
Jaune on the other hand was trying his best not to look up her skirt, as he was a lot of things, but a pervert he was not.
"Did that guy called out a giant bird from a ball?"questions Blake, unable to comprehend what she just saw.
"Cool!"said Nora with stars in her eyes.
"How? Wha? That's impossible!"said Ruby, wondering how the heck that guy put a giant bird into a ball that was much smaller than its own body.
The starling Pokemon on the other hand put Weiss safely on the floor, before he flew back towards his trainer.
"Thank you, Staravia."said Jaune, before he recalled the starling Pokemon back to his pokeball.
"How-!"Pyrrha was about to say, before she was interrupted by the Grimm that we're about to attack them!
"Questions later! Not dying first!"shouted Jaune, as it was clear these creatures were not Pokemon.
He didn't know what they were but he did not like it one bit. And it was clear to him that his Pokemon didn't like them either as Koraidon was growling again, and he could feel his pokeballs shaking with anger. It was like all of his Pokemon were begging him to fight these monsters! But why? Why did they hate these creatures so naturally?!
"Not if I can help it!"said Ruby, before she began running towards the Grimm!
"Little Red, wait!"shouting Jaune, but Ruby did not listen as she pulled out a weapon which surprised them as how did a girl so small wield such a giant scythe?!
"What is this world?!"shouting Jaune, wondering why a girl would be carrying such a giant weapon.
He quickly got his answer when she charged at the Grimm. She quickly try to attack the deathstalker, before she was pushed back! Ruby quickly got back up and looked over at the group.
"Don't worry. Totally fine.."said Ruby, trying to assure everyone that she was okay.
That is when she looked back at the death stalker, and decided to do a tactical retreat by putting her weapon back in her holster before she quickly began running as fast as her legs could take her.
"Ruby!"shouting Yang, quickly running over to her sister.
"Oh for the love of!"said Jaune, before he motions for Koraidon to get moving.
The paradox Pokemon quickly followed his trainers orders, and before Pyrrha realize what was happening, she had been knocked off the paradox Pokemon has it begun running at a fast pace towards Ruby!
Jaune meanwhile had pulled out another pokeball, figuring that this Pokemon would help even the odds.
"Your the first ever Pokemon I caught! So I know for a fact that you're strong!"said Jaune, readying to call out the Pokemon to help with the situation.
The nevermore meanwhile flew towards Ruby, before and unleash the barrage of feathers at the poor girl! Ruby manage to avoid getting hit, but her Cape ended up getting stuck in one of the feathers! Yang on the other hand was blocked from getting any closer by the barrage of feathers that the nevermore unleashed.
"Ruby, get out of there!"shouted Yang as she was getting back up.
"I'm trying!"said Ruby as she was trying to release her cape from the feather arrow thing.
The Deathstalker meanwhile had closed the distance, and was preparing to strike Ruby with its golden stinger!
"Ruby!"shouted Yang, before a red blur flew past her.
"Tinkatuff, use brutal swing!"said Jaune as he called for another Pokemon.
The Pokemon in question was a pink humanoid Pokemon, with a large head and arms and short, stumpy toeless feet with light pink circles underneath. Its arms have three fingers each, and it has steel plates on its hips that resemble outturned pockets. Its head has light pink circles on its cheeks, silver eyes, and a mouth with square teeth-like growths on the upper and lower lips. It has thin eyebrows or eyelashes above its eyes that give it a perpetually angered expression. On top of its head is a white growth resembling hair tied into a ponytail, with a light pink zigzag pattern on the rim where the growth meets the head.
The Pokemon in question carries a large, gray, crude yet sturdy hammer with loose metal plates for the hammer head!
The Hammer Pokemon quickly swung its body around as it's Hammer became covered in dark energy, before it knocked away the stinger before I could hit Ruby! In fact, the strike was so powerful that the death stalker was knocked back a few feet away!
"Tink!"said the hammer Pokemon with a satisfied look, as she was glad she finally got to fight.
"Phew!"said Ruby, before she managed to unhook her cape as Jaune and Koraidon approached her.
Jaune quickly got down, and before Ruby could thank him for saving her he quickly karate chopped her in the head!
"Ow! What was that for?!"questions Ruby, as she was rubbing the bump on her head.
"For charging in recklessly when you didn't have to! There's a difference between being brave and just being stupid! Did you really need to go charging in at those monsters when it's clear what you need is over there!"said Jaune while pointing over at the ruins.
"Um..."said Ruby, quickly realizing that she didn't need to put herself in danger like that.
"Man, I swear the people on this planet are crazy."said Jaune, before he felt someone approach behind him.
"You are so childish!"said Weiss, revealing that she was the one who approached.
"And dimwitted, and hyperactive, and don't even get me started on your fighting style."said Weiss."And I suppose I can be a bit... difficult. But if we're going to do this, we're going to have to do this together. So if you'll quit trying to show off, I'll be...nicer."
"I'm not trying to show off. I want you to know I can do this."said Ruby in her own defense, before the hammer pokémon smacked her in the head.
"Ow! What was that for?"asked Ruby, but Tinkatuff merely responded by turning around and huffing.
"She's trying to tell you that you don't have to prove yourself."said Jaune."She was the same and it almost got us in huge trouble, so she hates when someone does it themselves."
"Ohhh."said Ruby, before her sister ran over and hugged her.
"I'm so glad that you're okay."said Yang, relieved that Ruby was okay as the group went back to the ruins.
"Guys, I hate to rain on the sweet moment but that bird thing is circling back "said Jaune as he, Koraidon, and Tinkatuff got down.
"Oh, and Pyrrha. Sorry for accidentally knocking you off Koraidon."said Jaune, feeling like an apology was in order.
"It's okay, Jaune, it was an emergency."said Pyrrha, feeling like she would have done the same thing, so she couldn't really judge him.
"Good. Now what's the next move?"asked Jaune, before he recalled the hammer Pokemon l, as he noticed that Nora was giving her an unusual look.
"Ah, I want one!"said Nora, as it appears she fell in love with Tinkatuff, as she found the hammer Pokemon to be absolutely adorable.
"Look, there's no sense in dilly-dallying. I have a lot of questions for you, but I'll save them for another time. For now all we need to do is get out of here."said Weiss, who decided to save her questions for the mysterious blonde hair young man calling forth mysterious creatures for later.
"She's right. Our mission is to grab an artifact and make it back to the cliffs. I have a lot of questions for yout to, but I can wait until when we are not in danger to ask them."said Ruby, as Jaune recalled the paradox Pokemon back to his pokeball.
"I love that idea!"said Jaune, before he quickly went over and grabbed a golden rook piece.
Everyone else pretty much did the same thing with different chess pieces, before they begin running towards the cliffs.
"Time to go!"shouted Ren, noticing that the deathstalker had gotten over its shock and was now coming with after them!
The Nevermore had the same idea as it was flying towards the group!
Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren quickly began making their way to the cliff as fast as their legs could take them.
'If it comes down to it I'll have to use you! I know you and me don't have a lot of experience working together, but I believe in your power! Especially after you get a little help with terrastalization!'thought Jaune while pulling out with a pokeball and something that kind of look like a pokeball with a jewel inside.
The thing in his hand was a Terra orb, an item that allows a Pokemon to terrastalize. It basically allows a pokémon to take on a more crystallized form, giving them a boost in power, especially when it came to their Terra type moves.
The group meanwhile managed to get to the cliff, but they were quickly stopped when the Nevermore got in front of them and perched itself on the ruins next to the cliff.
"Well that's great."said Yang, before the Deathstalker came in from behind to surround them from both sides.
"Move!"said Jaune, who knew the best way to avoid getting hit was to keep moving.
"Nora, distract it!"ordered Ren, causing Nora to pull out her grenade launcher, before she began firing grenades at the Nevermore!
The deathstalker quickly tried to attack Nora from behind, but Blake and Ren defended her! Weiss then appeared and summoned a glyph to get her and Nora out of danger.
Jaune and Pyrrha meanwhile we're running on the bridge, before Pyrrha activated her shotgun mode, and fired at the deathstalker!
"Go! Go!"said Pyrrha as she fired several shots at the overgrown scorpion Grimm.
"We need to get off this bridge!"said Jaune, who quickly turned around as he realized running onto the bridge was a death trap as they would limit his movements.
Before he could get off the bridge, the Deathstalker quickly got in his way! He was about to be skewered before Ren fired several shots at the Grimm, distracting it long enough for Jaune to get out of the way.
"Ruby, Weiss, Yang, Blake! You guys handle the overgrown flying type! We'll handle the overgrown bug type!"said Jaune, confusing everyone but I meant to understood what he said enough for them to know their roles.
RWBY would take on the Nevermore! And JNPR would take on the Deathstalker!
"It's now or never! Ogerpon, I choose you!"shouted Jaune, before he threw the pokeball he was holding, releasing the Pokemon that was inside.
What came out of the pokeball a predominantly green, humanoid Pokémon. Its green torso is spotted with white flowers and yellow dots, and it is capable of extending green and black vines of ivy. Its long legs are black in the front and white in the back, and its two-toed feet each have two green leaves sprouting between the toes. Its torso is mostly covered by a large, green, multicolored cloak-like structure that extends from a stem on top of its head. This cloak frames its face with a large, black, thorny vine, the two uppermost thorns resembling horns.
"So cute!"shouted Nora upon seeing the mask Pokemon's face.
"Ogerpon, put on the hearthflame mask!"shouted Jaune, causing the mask Pokemon to put on a mask that is mainly red and orange in color, and sports a fierce expression. Its whole shape and profile is flame-like, with a protruding brow of swirling flames and a bright-orange mane bordering most of the mask. Its mouth and nose are bright blue, and it has two sharply pointed fangs jutting from its lower jaw. It has a Tera crystal in its forehead that is vaguely shaped like a four-pointed star, and its eyes are also Tera crystals, with simple black pupils and a small amount of black coloration between the eyes and nose
Soon the cloak around Ogerpon changed color, from green to red!
"Cool!"said Ruby, who was watching everything as she and her friends were fighting the Nevermore.
"If you think that's cool! Then watch this!"said Jaune, before he pulled out the Terra orb.
"Ogerpon, terrastalize!"said Jaune, before he held up the Terra orb
Said orb then began to draw energy from somewhere, before Jaune tossed it over at the mask Pokemon. The orb release the crystal that was inside, causing it to land at the feet of Ogerpon! Soon Ogerpon was surrounded by a big Crystal that came out of the ground, before said Crystal dissipated a second later and a new form came.
Everyone, including the professors that were watching were amazed by what they saw!
Ogerpon's mask became much larger and surrounded with Crystal! The Crystal horns on the mask erupted to become large and menacing! Flames erupted from both sides of the mask! Ogerpon was also surrounded by a crystal like substance around her whole body, making her shine as everyone watched on with awe!
"Ogerpon, use ivy curgel!"shouted Jaune, causing the mask Pokemon to pull out a curgel made out of vines!
The curgel then ignited with flames, before Ogerpon charged towards the Deathstalker and stroke it! the Grimm screams with pain as fire began to ignite around its whole body!
"Nora! Use this opportunity to knock its tail into its skull!"shouted Jaune, causing the orange haired girl to realize what he was saying and smile.
"Got it!"shouted Nora, before she transformed her grenade launcher into a hammer and launched herself towards the deathstalker n
She then struck the stinger of the death stalker, knocking it loose!
"Ogerpon, use low sweep on that stinger!"ordered Jaune, causing the mask pokémon to run over before she struck the tail with her foot, knocking it even more loose!
"Pyrrha! Ren! Shoot!"commanded Jaune, causing his new friend and his new acquaintance to fire their guns at the weak spot of the tail!
Said tale became losing fell into the deathstalker skull!
"Nora! Hammer it in!"ordered Jaune, causing the orange haired girl to run over and swing her Hammer around in a circle before she struck the tail into the Deathstalker's skull, killing it instantly!
"Yes!"said Jaune, while Ogerpon return to her normal state, before she ran over to her trainer.
"Oger oger!"said the mask Pokemon that she gave her trainer a big hug.
"Good girl!"said Jaune, before he turned his attention back to little red and her group.
It was there that he saw Ruby running up a cliff with her gun scythe constantly shooting to keep her balance. She appear to be running on blips as she was holding the Nevermore's neck with her bladed weapon! Jaune watched an amazement as she kept running higher and higher until she reached the end of the cliff, decapitating the Nevermore with one clean cut!
"Whoa!"said Jaune, as what he saw was amazing.
Ogerpon meanwhile was happy to see that the horrible monster was gone!
"So cute!"shouted Nora, who came up from behind and hug the mask Pokemon.
"Oh, who is so precious! He is so cute."said Nora while hugging Ogerpon, who was trying to get away.
"She is so cute."corrected her trainer, before he pulled Ogerpon away from Nora, making the pokémon let out of sigh of relief as she held her trainer tightly.
"Ahhh!"said Nora, upset that the cute creature was taken away from her, but still found what she was seeing to be adorable.
"Man, that was a close one!"said Yang, as she and the others rejoined Jaune's group.
"Now, what is that creature?"asked Ruby, before she ran over and started inspecting Ogerpon, specifically her curgel!
"I've never seen a weapon made out of plants! Oh, and what about that pink creature and her hammer! Oh, I have so many questions!"said Ruby, who was so excited she didn't notice that she was making the mask Pokemon uncomfortable.
"Oger."said Ogerpon, who is currently hiding behind her trainer.
"Easy, little sis."said Yang, who pulled Ruby away by her Hood.
"But seriously, who are you and who are those creatures you have in those balls?"asked Blake, as she had questions and she wanted answers.
"Um, I'm guessing none of you know what a Pokemon is?"inquired Jaune, getting a no signal from everyone.
"No, is is that what you call those creatures you forced to fight for you?"asked Weiss, offending Jaune!
"I don't make them fight for me, princess! They choose to be by my side!"said Jaune, who hated when someone accused his Pokemon of being forced to fight.
His Pokemon where battle Maniacs that love to fight!
"I believe will get more answers in my office, young man."said Headmaster Ozpin, as he and professor Goodwitch made themselves known to the group.
"Ah, I think I just got the wrong kind of attention."said Jaune, realizing he has some explaining to do as the people in charge have made themselves known.
He just hope they don't do anything to upset his Pokemon.
