So...Two things about the last chapter Leo menching the technique the Ancient One taught him is kind of an explanation for what is essentually the Flashback scenes Leo getting some knowladge he couldn't otherwise get due to Rover's incomplete reporting and also Leo mentioning Raph is 'slightly larger than the average human' for those who haven't read my other fanfics the Turtles have gone through a growth spurt and are now their adult size meaning their now as tall as Casey a thing I borrowed from MNT Gaiden also I think I realize this story has become like one of my favorite TMNT fanfics Underdark specifically like that story this is turning into 'The One Shot that would not die' as this I think is going to actually be four chapters long maybe I just realized I need to properly set up the new characters and setting up the Punch Out characters position in this world

The Mutant Village of Forest was set up to be a safe haven where Mutant Animals could relax and be themselves, since many Mutants had, had traumatic experiences with humans this segregated community was a place where Mutants could feel safe until they felt ready to interact with humans on their own terms, crossing the bridge to the 'human side of town' initally Forest was concieved to be a temporary santucary for the Mutants the idea was they would slowly be acclimated to humans in preperation for their full assimilation into human society, but the Mutants were finding Forest was much more to their liking, most liked living in the magically enhanced trees that could be hollowed out into houses or apartment complexes most Mutants were actually unlike the Turtles, most were much closer to their animal instincts and thus felt more at home in the world of nature and greenery, they couldn't live as easily in the world of steel and concrete it felt toomuch like a cage which many of them had, had some experience with. Plus for certain large species Mutants living in a tiny apartment on the 13th floor could potentially be dangerous, they might fall right through the floor!

But still overall the idea of getting Mutants accustomed to humans so they could interact with human society without fear did seem to be working thus we introduce two Younger Girl Mutants of Leo's beginner class.

One was Scruffles full name was actually Fluffle's Buffles Scruffle's Truffles, that was her show name as she was originally intended to be a show dog, that was before she got Mutated.

The Young Maltese Puppy was being walked by her rich owners in the Hamptons when she lunged after a squirrel tearing the leash out of Madame Bodewell's hand as she went after it, her owners chased after her for quite some time only to find her covered in some glowing green goo as she had encounted a puddle of the TCRI Mutagen welling up from the ground.

Hoping it wasn't radioactive waste, Madame Bodewell picked up up with gloves and had her hosed down, the next day they discovered the Puppy had started walking on her hind legs and her front paws were turning into hands.

Know despite seeming like your average rich snobs, Madame Bodewell and her family actually responded with much compassion instead of being horrified at the freak they know felt they had another child with Scruffles becoming a show dog scrapped, Madame Bodewell's daughter raised her alongside her own daughter and the two became sisters while Scruffles couldn't attend school she learned alongside her human sister from observing her homework and supplimented by educational programs, it was from these programs that Scruffles developed a love of gardening and thus her hobby was raising pretty flowers. When visitors came over, the Bodwell's cover for their other daughter's unusual appearance was 'She has that rare disease that makes her all hairy' and most people accepted that ignoring the cold and wet black nose.

Because of her family situation, Scruffles did not actually live in Forest she continued to live with her human family in their Park Avenue Penthouse when the Mutant Riots happened the family quickly fled New York for their vacation home in London because they knew they were in danger from people like 'Bishop' even if they didn't specifically know of Bishop but they knew of people always searching for Mutants.

Scruffles only came to Forest because it had become mandatory for all young Mutants in New York to attend Leo's Martial Arts School, Scruffles didn't mind too much because she finally got to make some friends who were like her. Her closest friend was a Mutant who initally couldn't seem more different from her, Lovelace a Mutant Garter Snake.

Lovelace was created by deliberate experimentation, she had been created by a secret medical experiment orginazation as part of an experiment in creating cybernetic limbs that functioned as well as the real things, so she had a pair of robotic arms grafted to her body, otherwise she was similar to Lord Hebi just a really big snake who could talk.

When she first came to Forest she claimed Lovelace was the name she chose for herself but later confessed it was the name given to her by the Lab's animal keeper who found it too difficult to call the Animal's by their serial numbers so he gave them cute little nicknames as he was kind of Hippie in that he had long hair and beard and he really liked to smoke marijuana not so much in that he cared for 'Mother Nature and all her Creatures' Lovelace's incredibly strong metal arms came in handy for her escape and when she first came to Forest she was initally very timid around humans and that may have been what drove Scruffles to befriend her to show the Garter Snake how nice humans could actually be! The Purse Puppy regerally took Lovelace on shopping trips around New York and seemed they had more in common then initally seemed because the Serpent also seemed to be very fashonable and loved pretty things, particurally loved shopping for jewerly.

The two girl Mutants had been on one of these shopping trips when they encountered...The Troubadour

So I didn't even get to the Punch Out characters just setting up these two Female Mutants who are going to be very important in this story, really like setting up the Mutant Students of Leo's school but kind of didn't get to the meaning of this title where to humans like the Punch Out Boxers, they rather like this new age of the 'Neozoic' because on a deep level they sense that this is a new 'Age of Wonder' like the fairy tales that every culture has where among other things the boundry between human and animal was not as clear as shapeshifters abounded and fairy tale protaganists paticurally child characters could just have conversations with animals like it was nothing and thus for Brave Men like the Boxers they are pleased with this new world because they know deep down that the Brave are usually rewarded in fairy tales, cowards not so much
