The date was going great, they talked, alot. She told him about how her and ino are opening up mental health facilities in the village and hopefully in other villages as well. She told him that she didn't want other kids to suffer the way he and Naruto did, and that she wanted to be able to help them. That's who Sakura was, she wanted to help every single person that was going through anything painful.
"So earlier today, you mentioned that you stayed in a small village to help a family?" She asked. He nodded at her.
She smiled, "Well then, tell me more about it!' she said before sipping on her drink.
"The village was short-handed, the population there was dangerously low. Alot of people were collateral damage during the war. It destroyed the fields, numerous houses and shops there, so people left. Only a few families stayed back. So i stayed back as well to help them rebuild the village" He said while fidgeting with his sleeve under the table.
"The family i stayed with was really nice though, atleast for the most part" He added.
She gave him a confused look, silently asking him to elaborate on that.
He swallowed nervously, "They were trying to set me up with their daughter" He said.
He scanned her face for any emotion at all. Amusement? Jealousy? Anger? Anything?
But her face remained neutral, even if she felt anything she did not show it. After a second, she smiled, "Well then, did you give it a chance?" She asked while smirking, It seemed as though she was challenging him.
He rolled his eyes, "Obviously not" he answered almost instantly. Her head tilted to the side, "Why not?" She asked, her eyes all big and innocent.
He was getting some major deja vu from her earlier conversation with Shikamaru.
He leaned in a little closer, staring into her eyes, "She wasn't you" he whispered.
That, striked an emotion. She visibly looked surprised and happy at his response. She also looked a bit confused and he figured she was getting some deja vu as well. It probably wasn't a good idea to play mind games with her, he needed to stop doing that soon.
Soon, but not now.
"No one, is you" he added.
She took a deep breath as she processed his words. Victory. He got to her.
Soon enough though, she changed the topic. She wasn't ready for this yet and it was understandable, he would wait.
The rest of the night went great, obviously. They reminisced about their time together as kids. How innocent they were. Memories of team seven.
"Speaking of which, We should definitely get together for a reunion, all five of us?" She suggested.
He arched a brow, "Five?", he asked, confused.
She nodded slowly, "Yeah, You, Naruto, Kakashi-Sensei, Me and Sai"
He frowned for a second but then just nodded.
Of course his replacement, would be there.
He felt her hand on his, a warm feeling he could get used to.
"Calm down, Sasuke. He may have been your replacement, but... He's not you" She said and smiled and then bit her lip, seductively at the last part.
His eyes widened slightly at that. She was comforting him while teasing him Naughty little vixen, is what she was.
He smiled back at her.

Now, they were taking a walk on the streets. It was crowded like hell, weekend rush. Kids running around, parents running after them, screaming at them not to run around. Sizzling noises from the food stalls around.
Normally, all of this would give him sensory overload, but today, his entire focus was on her. With her he feels like the world has stopped running and it's just the two of them. His eyes drifted to her lips that were moving. He snapped out of his thoughts and focused on what she was saying.
"...She's been on my case to use my vacation days and i don't know how to get her to understand that i don't want to, I like working, but she said, 'It's an order'. And now i have to use them" She ranted, visibly irritated.
He wasn't listening to her before this and didn't know who she was talking about but he guessed it was Tsunade. She's the only person that can give orders to Sakura, other than Kakashi.
"What's so bad with taking a few days off?" He asked.
She pouted up at him. A little pissed off look on her face that made her look so fucking adorable. He had to surpress a laugh.
"I just told you, I love working! If I took some days off I would be bored as fuck. But It's fine I guess, Kakashi has been forcing Shikamaru and Naruto to take some days off too, I'll just hang out with them" She smiled a little, reassuring herself.
Right, Shikamaru. He couldn't help it and he rolled his eyes.
Their conversation was interrupted soon, "Sakura?" An unknown voice called out from behind. Sakura froze for a second before turning around.
A man he did not know was standing there, his arms folded, a neutral expression on his face.
Sasuke glanced at Sakura, She looked a little tense. Her breathing slightly heavy.
"Kenji", She acknowledged.
Said man looked at Sasuke and then at Sakura, as if demanding an explanation. "Oh, um, This is Sasuke, my.. teammate" She introduced.
Teammate? Really?
She took a deep breath, "And this is–" She started but, Kenji interrupted her, "–Her ex boyfriend", he said looking at Sasuke.
Ex boyfriend? Ex boyfriend?!
He took a look at this guy, he had jet black hair and blue eyes, He was a little taller than Sasuke, just a little. And had a muscular built. He hadn't seen this guy before, was he a civilian?
"I need to have a word with you, in private. I'll stop by later" He said before taking his leave.
What is with random men 'Stopping by' her house? And why the hell was she entertaining them?
She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, "Just great", She muttered.
Before he could even stop himself, "Ex boyfriend?" He asked.
She looked at him and nodded, "Sort of, it ws hardly an actual relationship" She said, a little sadness in her eyes. He frowned, what the fuck did that guy do to her?
"What was it then?" He asked.
She stared at him, neutrally now, "Aren't we being nosy?" She teased.
He frowned and stared at her, still demanding an answer. She finally sighed, "It was purely physical" Was all she said before starting to walk again. He stood there for a moment, dumbfounded, trying to process what she just said. Physical.. as in–? No, that can't be true, she didn't.. did she?
Did she have sex with him? He thought, swallowing.
He followed after her, she was deep in thought. They walked silently until they reached a playground. It was completely empty. Without saying a word, Sakura just went inside and sat on a metal chair in there, Sasuke followed suit and sat besides her on the other one.
After another moment of silence, she finally broke it, "He's an Anbu" she said, lowly.
Ah, that explains why he hasn't seen him before.
"We met at a bar one night and hit it off, it was before the war. We got closer after the war ended and eventually started dating. If you even want to call it that. We both had very busy schedules so we barely had time to spend with each other, and when we did, it was mostly physical" She explained, staring at the ground.
Sasuke stared into space, trying to process this huge bomb she just dropped on him. There were so many thoughts in his mind right now, so many emotions he felt.
He hated that she had been with someone else, He hated that, that someone else clearly hurt her feelings. He felt as if that guy used her and he even voiced it out, "He was using you, wasn't he?"
She shook her head, "No, that's not it. At first we had something more than just... physical activities. But eventually, i found him shutting me out emotionally and all we had left was sex. I didn't mind it at first, but then i got tired and broke it off with him" She sort of defended Kenji.
He cringed at the word, 'sex'. It just confirmed his suspicions from earlier.
"Anyway, he wants to get back together" She said.
Panic washed over him instantly, would she get back with him?
"–but i don't think i want to, i don't have the energy for a relationship right now, so i can't give him another chance" She answered his silent question.
He felt a little defeated but he convinced himself that this didn't have anything to do with him, it was about her ex. He knew now wasn't the time or the place to say this but he couldn't help himself, "What about me?"
She looked confused as she raised her brow in questioning, "What about you?" She asked.
He took a deep breath and then exhaled, "Would you.. give me a chance?" he asked, looking at her, hesitantly.
Fuck it's too soon, i shouldn't have said that!
For a minute no one spoke. The only sound was the crickets chirping in the night. He let out a defeated sigh, he blew it. He let his impulse get the best of him and now he fucked up his one chance with Sakura, This is a disaster. She sighed and stood up.
She was leaving wasn't she? Of course she was.
She didn't.
Instead, she knelt down in front of him and kissed him, on the lips this time. He froze for a second as he didn't know how to react but then he melted the second he snapped back to reality. His hand gently grabbed her by the neck, his fingers digging into her long hair. His sharingan awoke without him realizing, capturing everything that was happening, etching it into his brain for eternity.
It was his first kiss, his inexperience was showing but he tried to hide it with deepening the kiss. She got up, without breaking the kiss and placed herself on his lap, strangling him with her strong legs. His hand instinctively went to her hips. He moaned softly into the kiss. Panic washed over him once again when he felt himself getting hard. He wanted to pull away but curiously also got the best of him. He wanted to see how she would react or would she even react?
And react she did, she moaned when she felt his erection pressed against her core. She rolled her hips against his, grinding against him. He instantly broke away from the kiss and threw his head back slightly, his mouth open, letting out a silent moan.
He stared into her eyes, they were filled with lust. Like she wanted this for as much as he did, like she waited for this as much as he did. He liked to think that she did.
She did not break the eye contact even for a minute. She did, however, stop grinding him as she knew he would finish right then and there.
She leaned in towards his ear, "I hope that answered your question" She whispered seductively before kissing him on his pulse. He groaned, just discovering he was sensitive there.
She got off him to fix herself, he felt annoyed at her withdrawal. He wanted to feel her close again.
"I think I'm gonna walk home by myself" She said and just left without waiting for his rebuttal.
He felt hurt, he felt as though she regretted doing that. But then he remembered what she said before leaving. She indicated that she would give him a chance, and that was all the confirmation he needed.
After what just happened tonight, he decided he was going to stop stalking her. He didn't need to do that anymore, he could get to know her like a normal person now. He would also come clean to her as the last thing he wanted to do was start something with her based off a lie.
He got up, ready to go home but something shiny caught his eye. It was her purse. She forgot to take it with her. He sighed and picked it up. He'll go to her place right now and give it to her.
—
When he reached her place he heard some voices coming from her apartment. He peeked through her window and saw it was her and Kenji, arguing.
"Really Sakura? Two weeks after we break up you're out on a date with a fucking criminal?" He said with a diabolical laugh.
Sasuke fumed, who the hell did this guy think he was?
"He's not a criminal!" She defended him.
Kenji rolled his eyes, "Right, my bad, ex criminal" He said sarcastically.
Sakura scoffed, "You completely shut me out Ken! What did you expect me to do? Wait around for literally nothing?" She yelled.
"I had just lost my brother Sakura, cut me some fucking slack!" He retorted.
She shook her head, "No, you do not get to do that, absolutely not. I know your brother died ken, but that's not an excuse to treat me like crap. You could've talked to me, told me you needed space with words, not just shutting me out and leaving stuff up to my interpretation." She said, gesturing with her hands.
Kenji sighed and walked towards her, he placed his hands on her hips, "You're right, i should've" He whispered. "That's why I'm here right now Sak, Can't we try again? I miss you" He said, staring into her eyes.
Sakura almost melted, almost. She gulped as she stared back.
"We were great together and you know that, give me another chance?" He said before kissing her neck. She took a deep breath, letting out a soft moan but quickly gathered herself and shook her head, "I don't know Kenji.. I need some time to think things over, okay?" She whispered.
He nodded at her, "Alright, that's understandable" He said and backed away a little. He stared at her intently, as if trying to read something.
"Can i ask you something?" He said after a moment. "Its about Sasuke," He added.
She looked at him hesitantly before nudging him to continue.
"Arr you still in love with him?" He asked.
That question alerted Sasuke and he went closer to the door, wanting to hear the answer desperately. There was only silence for a minute, making him uneasy, did she not love him anymore?
Then, he heard her sigh, "I don't think I ever stopped" She said, her voice almost a whisper.
That sentence filled Sasuke with a warm fuzzy feeling that he's never experienced before. He couldn't surpress his smile. She still loves him. She never stopped loving him.
"It's getting late, i think you should leave Ken" She said.
Kenji nodded and headed for the door, opening it. Sasuke froze, Fuck!
Kenji glared at him before passing from his side. Sakura had a confused look on her face, "Sasuke, What are you doing here?" She asked suspiciously before shaking her head, "No, better question, How long have you been here?" She added.
Sasuke opened his mouth but no words seemed to come out.
He sighed, "I- I just got here," He lied.
She frowned, as if she didn't believe him. "Okay.. But what are you doing here?" She demanded.
He shook her purse that he was holding, "You forgot this, thought i should give it to you" He said.
She smiled, taking the purse from him, "Thank you" She said.
He nodded at her and quickly walked away. Sakura watched him leave while frowning, How long are you going to lie to me, Sasuke? She thought, feeling almost sad.

Sasuke was laying in his bed right now, thinking about everything that happened tonight. Especially their moment in the park, he blushed furiously while remembering it. They took a big step today, and while he felt like it was a bit too soon, he was also happy. Genuinely happy. It seemed right, it certainly felt right. But he couldn't be with her before coming clean to her about his.. shenanigans. They had to put their bond through one last test. He had to tell her sometime soon.
Despite the heated events that occurred earlier in the park, he controlled himself from pleasuring himself. Even though he really wanted to, he would wait for the real thing.
He closes his eyes and drifted off to a peaceful sleep as his dreams were starring the love of his life.
