Shinji is stalked by an entity that he can not truly comprehend. It taunts him by taking a very familiar form, but not all of the pain that it puts him through is not entirely bad. It's intentions are unknown, but Shinji can tell one thing about it. The aura it gives off is one of malicious intent. It is the predator and Shinji is the prey.

Kaji's mission to find Adam goes differently than expected, and the game is forever changed: The Dead Sea Scrolls are wrong! Gendo must now let a few more people in on his plans if he wants to defeat SEELE at their game. And while humanity nears its untimely end, Shinji Ikari must learn to deal with some repressed feelings and hopefully come to terms with his place in the world.

Fifteen years old young man, came down to the Tokyo-3 with 'purposed' mission to save mankind from 'danger' named Angels. As it's sounded so simple for this responsibility, in reality, it's not that simple, and thus, the madness, fear and loathing will twist this young man and everyone around him, since his first day of arrival.

This story introduces a new character to the Evangelion universe, my own self-insert Danya Aloyoshenka; a Russian pilot stationed from Anchorage Alaska and his encounter with Shinji and Asuka after the Third Impact. This story wouldn't have been possible without my co-writers, NeonExists and Mimic. Written in memory of my girlfriend Brianna and my friend Max, who died during Covid.

The Hedgehog's Dilemma dictates that despite the intention of a reciprocal relationship, it may not occur for reasons that two individuals cannot avoid. Despite good will, human intimacy cannot occur without substantial mutual harm, and what results is cautious behavior and weak relationships. (Warning: VERY slow fic. Also serious adult themes and lemons. Bondage not in story.)
