Taking place the same day as the ski trip, Lincoln and I have made it to Lake Kaweah, wearing fishing attire and carrying fishing gear. We rent a boat to fish from, with the certainty that in the deep areas of the lake are the fish. As long as the swimmers don't scare them away. Now, if you recall from the previous events, I talked about how I'd actually bring Lincoln with me to practice several activities as a means of helping out his path of self-discovery. I also brought up how the friends and family of Lincoln would make attempts at getting him back, and none would be successful. They might actually be worse at planning than Lincoln.
The previous chapter also showcased an example in which a trio consisting of LJ, Zach, and Rusty attempt to get Lincon's attention, only to start an avalanche. I rescue Lincoln and convince a group of skiers/snowboarders to stall the trio, buying me enough time to leave with Lincoln, without either of us being noticed by the trio. As a result, the three are too late. However, as LJ said, they aren't the only ones making plans to get him back.
In Lake Kaweah, Lincoln and I are fishing on a boat. Sorry if I'm being redundant. Meanwhile, a group of six are also there by coincidence. Originally, in my Google Doc, it was Liam, Brown QT(I'll call her Jenny), and Joy. Now, I decided to add in Andrew, Lana, and Lola. They have the same intentions that the previous trio has, which is getting Lincoln back. One of them decides to put their plan in motion, yet, none of their identities aren't revealed until after things go awry for them, despite only their silhouettes appearing. Meanwhile, Lincoln and I are fishing from our boat.
Lincoln and I cast our fishing rods outwards and they land in the water. Underneath the surface, however, a familiar silhouette notices our lines. Lincoln's pole catches a normal fish while the silhouette grabs onto the other rod, thinking it's Lincoln's when it's actually mine.
Me: Looks like you caught one.
Lincoln: Nice.
*my pole bobs*
Me: Let me reel this one in. *starts reeling it in, not realizing that someone has grabbed onto my line and isn't a fish*
Me: Wait. *takes a look at the water* Something isn't right here.
Lincoln: What is it, Kaden?
Me: *keeps reeling it in, only to find that the "thing" that grabbed onto my rod was Joy* That's not a fish! THAT'S NOT A FISH! *I unreel the line putting Joy back underwater. Her scream is cut short before she re-enters the water.* Let's get rid of these poles!
Lincoln: What's going on?!
Me: I think we're being followed!
Lincoln: By Joy?!
*Joy climbs up the rod and resurfaces to eavesdrop on us*
Me: Our fishing trip is ruined. We're tossing the poles overboard!
Lincoln: Seriously?
Joy: !
Me: *gets ready* On three. *Lincoln reluctantly gets ready as well. One...
Joy: (Oh no.)
Me: Two...
Joy: (Please don't.)
Me: Three! *We toss the rods overboard, temporarily stripping Joy of her chance to get on the boat. I rush to the steering wheel.* Hold on tight, Lincoln. I'm taking this back to the docks.
I steer the boat back to Kaweah Marina, with Joy swimming to follow us.
Joy: Wait! Guys! Come back!
After getting the boat back in the dock, Lincoln and I run to either our own vehicle(I don't have a driver's license.) or an Uber vehicle and take off, with Joy having climbed onto the docks still trying to get to us. If I had my own license and vehicle, I'd lock the doors before Joy even has a chance to pull one of the door handles. We'd take off, and either she'd stay on our vehicle, or we'd be fast enough to evade her. Maybe something similar things could happen with the Uber driver scenario. She'd look at us trailing eastwards for a large number of seconds, then run back into the water, with Jenny, as some of you call Brown QT, swimming to try and rescue her, thinking that something bad has happened at first.
I have my doubts that Brownie, another name for the QT given by Loud House fans, ever learned how to swim, seeing that when she was at Girl Jordan's pool party in Pasture Bedtime, she had a tube. She could somewhat teach herself how to, yet her skills have yet to be honed in. Joy might end up saving her when swimming back to the other four kids I mentioned earlier.
Liam: What happened back there?
Joy: I was swimming underwater and noticed two fishing lines. I thought I grabbed onto Lincoln's, only to realize that I grabbed the wrong one. It belonged to someone who was fishing with Lincoln.
Andrew: I can tell. We saw what happened.
Lola: You scared them off.
Joy: D: *she regretfully nods knowing the mistake she has made* I tried to run after them to get their attention... *tears start forming in her eyes* ...but they ignored me and kept running...
Jenny: *having recovered, she holds Joy in her arms with the regretful girl bursting into tears*
Lana: *helps Jenny in trying to cheer Joy up by putting a hand on her shoulder as Jenny rubs circles on her back*
Andrew: There goes our only chance nonetheless.
Liam: ONLY chance? Andrew, you might be wrong on that.
Andrew: Wait, what? Liam, what are you saying?
Liam: If I know some things well enough, we still have a chance to get Lincoln back. And I don't just mean the six of us, I mean everyone else as well. Girl Jordan, Clyde, Stella, Ronnie Anne, all of us. Ald Lincoln's sisters and parents as well.
Lana: Guys, Liam's right. We've all been bonding for the past several days with our goal and intentions of finding and regaining Lincoln. We can't let that become a lost cause!
Liam: See, guys? Lana agrees with me.
Lola: Count me in as well. *she puts her hand out*
Liam and Lana put their hands over hers.
Jenny: And me. *puts her hand over theirs*
Joy: *having been cheered up, and motivated by Liam and Lana's "speech"* And me. *does the same*
Andrew: Aw, what the heck. *he does the same as well*
Everyone: 1, 2, 3, break! *they break*
Andrew: Wait. But what about that other dude? From what Joy said, he was able to get himself and Lincoln away in such a good method.
Lola: Yeah. We might need to do something about him. Maybe we'll talk to Milo about this.
(I still need to work on the dialogue in a better way. Also, this project of mine, if a video series, should have this effect seen in the Beatles movie "Help!" in which text brushes up on the screen at the right moment. In one case, sometime after Lincoln and I make off, a text would show up saying "History might repeat itself." You'll see it in later chapters.)
