I might take Lincoln with me, hopefully having gotten a driver's license during the time, I'm hoping before that mountain-climbing trip and fishing trip. For the vehicle, I was considering a commercially available version of a Willys MB Jeep, which can also be a convertible. That choice was inspired by the first Earth vehicle mode Bumblebee acquired in the 2018 film of that name. Later, I thought about different ideas, before settling on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, with some preferred modifications.
There are two gymnastics places in West Visalia. I'm thinking of taking Lincoln to them so he can decide on which one would be perfect for him if he was to try out gymnastics like in Lincoln Gets Limber by Just4FunFiction, which RawToonage and I have read. I could tell Lincoln about it and that he could get some good ideas for what to do with his life on the way towards the centers. In one of them, whichever one is the cheapest, Lincoln and I could run into Kat, this time with Giggles and Haiku also being there.
Me: Well, Lincoln, this is the place. Dunno who will be here, who won't, and who's taking who's place.
Lincoln: I guess we'll find out.
?: Hey, guys.
Lincoln: Kat? *notices the two girls accompanying her* And Giggles?! Haiku?!
Me: Kat? What's going on here?
Haiku: I only came here for support. Because Kat and I share some physical traits like long black hair and pale skin.
Me: I wasn't asking YOU.
Haiku: Rude.
Kat: She's right. She came here to support me since the two of us share those physical traits. Also, we were able to interact long enough to get to know each other.
Giggles: I came here since Kitty and I have interacted with each other and Zach while we all were making plans to look for you. And I could try out new things besides clowning.
Lincoln: If you don't mind me asking, Giggles, how are things with you and Luan?
Me: And her romantic partner Benny?
Giggles: We're all on good terms. She was an emotional mess when she told us about her April Fools Day pranks and her regrets for them.
Lincoln: *feels miserable for what Luan went through*
Me: *looks at Lincoln* ...I'm sure that you and Luan's friends have talked some sense into her and made her feel better.
Giggles: We did.
Me: *whispers to Lincoln* They were looking for us at Shatner's ranch.
Kat: Zach and I have been doing things with Lisa. It wasn't easy, knowing her experiments. And how bad he is at chemistry.
Lincoln: I learned that the hard way. *puts his head down*
Me: Everything is done the hard way.
Kat: *puts a hand on Lincoln's shoulder* As I said, you, Zach, and I are on good terms, Lincoln. And as Kaden said, we might have a chance to start over.
Lincoln: *smiles* Thanks.
Kat: You're welcome.
Haiku: As for Lucy, she told me and everyone about her liking for Princess Pony, and how she and a book copy were involved in a toilet clog that Lincoln took the blame for. They're on good terms, though Lucy has served acceptable punishments and was able to iron things out with everyone.
Me: We shouldn't be dwelling in any more drama right now. Lincoln, remember why I brought you here.
Lincoln: Right.
?: Lincoln! :D
Lincoln: ?! *looks to see Jenny and Joy running towards him*
Me: *stops them* Hey! What do you want from him?
Joy: *rolls eyes* Overprotective much?
Me: I'm just trying to make sure things go smoothly. Also, you didn't answer the question I asked.
Jenny: We just wanna talk with him.
Me: Okay...
Lincoln: Okay. If you two don't mind me asking, what you were trying to do at Lake Kaweah, Joy...
Joy: Uh... what about it?
Lincoln: Kaden told me that it was likely that you were trying to look for me when you tried to use our fishing poles to get on our boat. Is this true?
Joy: *nods*
Lincoln: You intended to get me back as well, like everyone else.
Joy: Of course.
Lincoln: Even though I gave false dating advice resulting in frogs being put on your head?
Joy: *rolls eyes* We're already even on that thanks to you.
Kat: Have you forgotten our conversation on the bus two nights ago, Lincoln?
Lincoln: ! *blushes sheepishly as he remembers the convo*
Jenny then tells Lincoln about her and Lance, and that she still respects him as a good person. She has not only seen him do bad things but also very good things as well. They sort things out in regards to the video contest, and she tells him about the fun she's been having with some of Lincoln's sisters. So has Joy.
Lincoln: I'll ask about that later.
Me: Lel. Anyone else here that Lincoln knows?
?: How about me?
All of us turn to the voice's source to find Zach Gurdle, who has brought Laird with him.
Lincoln: Zach?
Zach: It's been a while, Lincoln. How are things going?
Lincoln: Pretty well. I'm actually opening up to reunions with my loved ones, and have been doing a lot of good and new things with Kaden here.
Me: Indeed.
Zach: *looks at me in a way that makes me uneasy*
Me: Let me guess. Kat told you about the conversation she and I had with Lincoln as well? Like I told her to?
Zach: She did.
Me: So you know about-
Zach: The snow mountain. And how you got those snowboarders you saved from Rusty's avalanche to stall me, him, and Lynn.
Me: Didn't Kat tell you my reasons?
Zach: She did. But you should just let me talk to Lincoln.
Me: Fine. *walks to get snacks from the Jeep* I hate to be a jerk, but make it fast, 'cause you're done talking when I get back. *continues walking*
While I'm gone, Zach tells Lincoln everything about the avalanche, and how Lynn can get the credit since she was blowing the airhorn before Rusty used the megaphone to amplify it. And that if Rusty and Lynn are gonna apologize to Lincoln for that, Zach wants to be there to make sure they do. Lincoln is also informed about Coaches Pacowski and Keck making plans to ensure that Lynn is barred from sports and similar competitive extracurricular activities unless she irons things out with him for the right reasons. Lincoln feels guilty at first, but Zach assures him that everything will be fine. I come back, but I'm not noticed.
Lincoln: Hey, Zach. Who's your friend?
Laird: Laird. Ronnie Anne told me about you.
The two of them talk about each other for a while.
Me: *scares them* Boo!
Everyone: Ah!
Me: Lel. Gotcha.
Lincoln: Zach and I finished talking. I'm just making a new friend right now.
Me: Indeed you are. If I might come in, several things have happened to him, despite doing nothing to deserve them. It's getting annoying to me. That poor excuse for comedy of several varieties is gonna be pointless in the modern age, especially a time in which cartoons start walking the "real world" with its live-action inhabitants.
Zach: *annoyed* Do you know how long that'll take?
Me: Very long. It might pay off. But can we change the topic?
Zach: To what?
Me: Gymnastics. The reason I brought Lincoln here.
Lincoln: Oh. Of course.
Kat: Some of us might have spare gymnastics outfits you could borrow. *she and the other girls walk over to their bags and find spare gymnastics outfits for Lincoln to wear, then hand them to him*
Lincoln: Thanks, girls.
Jenny: You're welcome.
Lincoln and most of the girls walk into the changing rooms to get their outfits on, Lincoln finding the perfect outfit, and Giggles removing her clown gear and make-up. Upon noticing this, Lincoln asks Giggles about it, who tells him again that even she is trying new things. Before the instructor shows up, Lincoln has enough time to talk to Joy.
Lincoln: How have been things been with my sisters?
Joy: Funny you mention it. Jenny and I weren't the only ones at the lake. Liam, Andrew, and the twins were as well.
Me: Lana and Lola?
Joy: *nods* I actually saw the origin behind that friendship between Lana and that frog of hers. Hopps was it?
Lincoln: Hopps is his name. Don't forget.
Joy: I'm not that big on frogs, but Hopps could be an exception. And Lana as well. Though they're in many times too busy with Liam, I have enough free time with Lola and some friends of hers. Like this kid named Meli. A friend of both of us we nickname Cookie. And this cute girl named Adelaide. She has a frog of her own called Froggy 2. Sometimes they're in Lola's posse, sometimes with Lana when Liam's busy.
Lincoln: I'm DEFINITELY meeting them all someday.
Me: Which might take time. I might tell you about how well I think Liam and Lana have been bonding. Though Liam is in opposition, as many o- no, all of us, of Lana feasting on things from rubbish bins like raccoons.
Lincoln: Wait. What's with the British term, rubbish?
Me: Many people have ways of talking the way they want to. But I think it's time to take the tests.
The instructor decides to test each one, with me, Haiku, Zach, and Laird watching to provide support. They even try out every known thing that is introduced to them during the tests. The girls pass them, having likely practiced gymnastics before, except for Jenny. Lincoln passes them as well, likely being a natural at this.
Me: Looks like you succeeded, Lincoln. :)
Lincoln: Thanks.
Me: You're welcome.
Joy tells Lincoln that she might start considering a friendly competitive nature against him. A reference to how she is portrayed in Lincoln Gets Limber.
Me: Nah. Just... no. There's probably no point in a competitive nature that'll go stale over time, and at an alarming rate.
Joy: *groans* Fine. Thanks for ruining the fun.
Jenny: He might have a point. And I'm sure I won't be the only one to agree with him.
Me: Yeah. Say, Lincoln, what do you think of gymnastics so far?
Lincoln: Awesome! I'm definitely gonna consider this.
Me: Noice. Say, I think all of you kids, or a good number of you, should come to the Convention Center later on tonight. I planned something big for Lincoln and me, and some other people we met two nights ago, to show you.
Zach: Wait. WHAT?!
Kat: What did you guys do this time? -_-
Me: It's a surprise. You might take it to your liking. You can bring a few friends of your own over, as well as things to stream the thing live. Might be awesome. ;)
Lincoln: Definitely awesome. I'm just hoping I'm able to pull it off, being a brother of Luna Loud and all.
Jenny: *places a hand on Lincoln's shoulder* So do I. And judging by the tones in your voices, it might be intense.
Me: Trust me, and you don't have to, but it will be intense. But it might pay off for Lincoln's path of self-discovery. So, you guys up tonight?
Kat: I guess. Okay. But this better be interesting.
Me: It will be.
Lincoln and I say our temporary farewells to everyone we might be seeing later on tonight, get on our Jeep, and drive off to Guitar Center and other places that could let us borrow percussion instruments as long as we return them. To be continued...
