To answer a few questions:

I'm changing the story so I'm taking down the old chapters. Don't worry! I am going to put them back up under Nariko: Legend Untold (Old).

The focus of the story is changing, so a lot of how the story is being written is being changed, but a lot of the previous elements are remaining, don't worry ;D

This is the first book in a series with this book being Nariko's childhood until graduation.

Yes, there will be romance in the later books but only after Nariko turned 13. I have no problem with puppy crushes of childhood but any and all romantic interactions will only happen after 13 and still nothing heavy until maybe 16 -17. With whom is a secret, but it will be a guy ;)

I am not changing the gender of anyone but Naruto.

Some of the early chapters are a bit dark but it gets better and more light-hearted. Let's face it, Even the original Naruto did not have an easy childhood in canon.

This is going to be a AU.

In this story they live in a Ninja village and will have Ninja reasoning for things not everything is as it seems.
