Camp Omega, Peru, 2022

After around 20 minutes, both assault teams were in position. Clay heard Nomad say "execute" in his earpiece and he took aim with his long rifle and had the enemy guard within his sights. He took the shot and the enemy marksman in the tower dropped to the ground.

Weaver had repositioned himself so he could cover his team on the opposite side of the camp. They immediately assaulted the camp, taking out the guards. Gunfire erupted as the local Peruvian Mercenaries and Black Tusk Operator's shot at the Ghosts.

Nomad's Team

Nomad and his team entered the walled compound. They found cover near an abandoned car. Just then the weather changed for the worse as it began a torrential downpour. It reminded him of Bolivia and its unpredictable weather. But the former CAG Operator was used to it.

Over the course of his career as a Ghost Operator, he had many interesting missions, from his first operation as a Ghost Lead, to Operation Kingslayer, Operation Fallen Lord, and finally a joint operation with Fourth Echelon in Burkina Faso. Most of these interesting missions happened in 2019. The busiest year of his life.

On his left he saw Holt and on his right he saw Midas pushing up against the enemy.

"What's the play boss?" He heard Holt say

Nomad quickly reloaded his Sig Sauer 516 Assault Rifle, Ghost Recon's newest rifle. He thought about it for a while and said

"Alright, here's the plan. Midas you'll fire your 40mm M203 at that watch tower. Holt and I will throw smoke grenades and we'll clear that barracks to our right so we can have better cover."

"I like your style, Nomad." Midas said

"Holt, throw a sensor near the barracks. We need to see what we're dealing with."

"Roger that."

Holt threw the sensor grenade and Nomad's Cross-Com showed multiple hostiles in the building. Midas fired his under barrel grenade launcher at the sniper tower. At that same time Holt and Nomad threw the smoke to cover their approach to assault the building.

"Move to the building!" Shouted Nomad

All three operator's moved toward the building. They proceeded to toss some flash bangs into the room. They went off and they breached the room. Gunning down the dazed hostiles.

Brent's Team

Captain Brent's assault team was pinned down by a machine gun nest and couldn't move any further. Brent used his throat mic to contact Clay.

"Clay, we're pinned down by a machine gun position! Marking his location with my Cross-Com. Your advanced scope should see its position."

"Copy that Ghost Lead."

Clay spotted the machine gun operator and took him out with a single shot to the neck just above his body armor.

"Hostile taken out Captain."

"Good work Dolphin." Brent said

"Nomad this Brent, I have eyes on a large building possibly where our HVT is. Waiting on your signal to breach."

"Copy that Brent. Hold your position. Once we stack on the other side we'll breach together."

"Negative Sir. We need to go in now." Brent said in disagreement

"Hold your position Brent! That's a direct order!"

"We can't lose the momentum Nomad! We have them cornered."

Brent terminated his connection with Nomad and told the team to get into position to breach.

"Coyote I want you to toss a sensor grenade, I'll put a breaching charge on the door and blow it. Dallas I want you to throw a flashbang."

The sensor picked up multiple hostiles plus an unarmed individual inside the building. Brent saw it on his Cross-Com device and gave the go ahead to breach.

-Boom-

Coyote was stacked closest to the door when an explosion from the building threw him flying, killing and vaporizing him instantly.

Brent and the remaining members of his team were dazed by the explosion when he took a look at all the blood and gore near the door.

He realized his mistake but it was too late. But he needed to be decisive. He ordered his team into the building but his hearing was almost non existent due to his proximity to the blast.

Clay's Sniper Hide

Clay couldn't believe what was happening. He knew the rumors about Brent, but he didn't think they were serious. But here he was having doubts about his team leader. Pepper told him before his deployment of the story behind the Pakistan incident. How Captain Brent's actions lead to his entire squad of eight operators being injured.

That's when he heard a loud blast near his team and saw Coyote get vaporized. He kept firing his long rifle at the hostiles. But realized that he had to relocate so they wouldn't pinpoint his position. Clay found a fallen tree and used it for cover and concealment. Just then he saw a black tusk member with an RPG, he shot the hostile before he had the chance to fire the weapon.

Nomad's Team

"Brent! What the hell just happened!?" Nomad yelled

Captain Brent explained the situation "We're taking heavy contact in the building. We have one KIA. We need your team to enter the other side of the building."

Nomad was about to respond to the stupidity of Brent's actions when he received a call from Mitchell.

"Nomad, what the hell is happening out there? You have one Ghost KIA and a bunch of hostiles converging on your position. We're sending in an extraction bird at point Bravo, it should get there in 30 mikes" said LTC Mitchell.

"Understood Sir. We'll get any intel and the HVT then we'll call in that HAWX squadron to destroy the area".

Brent's Team

Just as the remaining members of the team entered the building gunfire rang out as Black Tusk Operator's popped out of doorways. The hostiles were prepared to rush them but were taken out by Nomad's Team who had taken a side entrance.

Both teams made it to the final part of the building. They breached the building and shot the guards. Ellis Galveston aimed his rifle at Brent when Dallas came in and shot his arm. He dropped to the ground in pain.

"Don't fucking move"! Nomad said

"Griffin, this Nomad. We have the package. Along with a scientist. Fourth Echelon will make good use of them".

"Copy that Nomad, head to the extraction point".

"Roger that Griffin. Nomad out".
