As the newer abomination, the warped being known as Velgoth, expelled another inhumane roar, those watching onboard Miracle's Reach looked upon the twisted creature with a shared sense of horror and disgust, while those of Nexus looked upon the beast that most present had only heard of in stories and legends with understandable fear and concern.
Then, and much to the horror of many, several vine-like appendages, each with claw-like hands which protruded from out of the tips, shot out of Velgoth's back and grabbed a Fire Realm soldier, which just as quickly pulled the soldier into the monster's jaws.
With a horrified scream, Suzie and a few others onboard Miracle's Reach shielded their eyes as the poor soldier was devoured by Velgoth, the vile beast bellowing with another roar as his victim's blood dripped down from his jaws, the sight of which furthering the creature's already terrifying appearance.
"Devour all! Consume the Weak!" Velgoth then bellowed as he began to move forward.
Bringing his larger arms down to the ground and using them to help move his gigantic frame throughout the battlefield, the Urgothians seemed to rally themselves around him.
It appeared as if the beast acted as both an Alpha and a hivemind for the Urgothians, which charged alongside the menacing behemoth at his command.
"Kari, you and Faustian continue to help our forces with the rest of the Urgothians. We will handle him." Light Davis told the Dark Empress with a fair command within his voice.
His eyes remaining upon Velgoth, Light Davis refused to look away from the vile terror now approaching him, or to look upon the concern within the former Digidestined of Light's eyes.
"I am not leaving any of you to fight that thing alone!" Kari snapped a little with a growing determination, before the brunette added as she looked back upon Velgoth. "I can sense that thing's power, he's stronger than Noctus for crying out loud!"
"That makes sense, since he is the equivalent of an Emperor of Nexus." Fire Davis then remarked, his words causing Kari to look upon the fire champion with a growing shock, while those newer to Nexus looked upon the monitors onboard Miracle's Reach with the same expression of surprise.
About to speak again and request that Kari stay out of this fight for her own protection and wellbeing, Light Davis found himself silenced when he saw Dark Davis' blade move before him, the Archon looking upon the Shadow and to see his dark variant looking back at him through his helmet with serious eyes.
"I want to protect her as much as you do, but one, we could use all the help we can get. Two, she's become too stubborn to just tell her to sit back in a situation like this, and finally, do not underestimate her power. Maligon learnt that lesson the hard way." Dark Davis said to his light variant with a seriousness within his voice, one that caused the Archon to relent a little.
Despite their differences and the Realms they serve, Light Davis knew that his dark variant cared for Kari just as much as he did, and though it still pained him to learn of his beloved's own fall to darkness, the Archon knew that Kari would indeed use her dark power to protect and not destroy.
"Very well then. Stick together and distract Velgoth, we need to separate him from the Swarm so he cannot aid them in battle, but do not underestimate him, no matter what." Light Davis then said with a returning authority within his voice, his words receiving nods from not just his variants, but from Kari as well, who swung Darkbringer and Voidrender and prepared to fight alongside her beloveds against this vile threat.
Looking toward Blaze, Belezar, Cybrian, Jiraiya, Alcadeias and Faustian, Nature Davis told the bound partners with his own seriousness. "You guys help take down the rest of the Urgothians while we take on Velgoth!"
"Watch it, you five know what that filth is capable of." Blaze said in reply with his own seriousness as he and the others began to move off and rejoin the battle.
"Call on us if you need our aid." Faustian then offered with his own seriousness as he joined Blaze and the others, while the five Davises and Kari turned their attention back upon their latest foe.
As though sensing his latest foes, Velgoth turned his attention toward the Davises and the female standing alongside them, the beast expelling another fearsome roar as he began charging in their direction and summoned dozens of vine appendages from his back that launched themselves toward the group.
Quickly reacting to the attack, Nature Davis brought his shield forward, closely followed by Water Davis, who summoned an energy barrier to protect himself, his variants and to ensure Kari's safety, the action causing the vine claws to slam against the double protection and scatter within the air.
Moving together, Fire Davis, Dark Davis, Light Davis and Kari rushed out of the barriers and swung at the vine tendrils, the united team cutting their way through most of the plant-like appendages and causing what remained to wither and move backward.
However, and much to the surprise of the Dark Empress and those watching the battle from above, the black blood which seeped from out of the damaged vines, quickly reformed itself and regenerated, repairing the damage done to the vine claws as they returned to Velgoth, who continued to roar and shriek as he rushed toward his foes in a fit of blind rage.
"Yes, he has an incredible ability for regeneration." The Arch-Savant said to Kari as he then turned his hands into energy cannons and unleashed a barrage upon the approaching monster, the attacks appearing to bounce off of the beast's hide as it continued to charge at his enemies.
Bringing his larger right fist upward, the Davises and Kari noticed as Velgoth's arm was then surrounded with a dark red energy, similar to what the Breach was made of.
The beast then threw his fist upward and prepared to strike at those standing before him.
Reacting quickly toward the attack, Kari and her beloveds leapt into the air as Velgoth slammed his fist into the ground, the attack causing a series of spiked tendrils covered in the twisted energy to violently shoot from out of the ground.
Had Kari and her Davises stayed on the ground, there was no doubt they would have been impaled.
Watching as the spikes dissolved into dark red energy and landing before Velgoth, the group then moved in for the attack, with Fire Davis, Dark Davis, Light Davis, Nature Davis and Kari moving in to strike at their terrible foe while Water Davis unleashed a barrage of energy blasts upon Velgoth's form.
In response to the assault against him, Velgoth expelled a bellowing and terrifying roar.
Using his large arms to block and parry the attacks of the four Davises and Kari, Velgoth swung his limbs around in an attempt to either grab or swat at his foes as the Arch-Savant's attacks bounced off of his hide.
"Hunger… The Strong devour the Weak… Consume everything!" He declared through his fury as he moved to strike at Kari, but came to a sudden halt when all of the Davises appeared in front of their beloved, acting as her knights in shining armour.
Bringing their weapons forward and forming an energy barrier against Velgoth's fist as it slammed into the field, the variants of Davis pushed themselves, doing all they could to keep Kari protected.
Seeing her beloveds struggling against Velgoth's strength, even with their combined efforts and refusing to sit back, Kari acted quickly to protect her Davises
Gathering her own dark energy within her staff, Kari unleashed a powerful blast of dark energy toward Velgoth's face, the attack causing the beast to stagger back a few feet and allowed the Davises more mobility as they continued their onslaught against their twisted enemy.
"Man, that thing sure is durable, so not groovy." Astora commented from the briefing room back aboard Miracle's Reach as he, Musimon and the others newer to Nexus, along with Victor and Kenji, continued to watch the battle raging below.
"And It doesn't shut up about eating!" Airu then added with a sense of concern and dread as she looked upon the creature on the screen, a chill running down her spine just from his horrid appearance alone.
"That could be due to the fact that this being doesn't even have a stomach." Thomas remarked, his words causing those newer to Nexus to look upon Velgoth and realize that the beast did indeed lack a stomach, which would explain its insatiable appetite, but this information also boggled the groups' minds as they tried to figure out how Velgoth devoured that poor soldier when it first arrived through the Breach.
"He is savagery and hunger made manifest, an embodiment of his Master's desire to devour all." Kenji then informed the others, who looked toward the young heir with shock and disbelief, mostly to the latter of Kenji's words, that Velgoth had a Master whom he served.
Refocusing on the battle, the group watched on with a growing sense of concern and frustration, each now willing to break the rules they were given as they watched the Realm forces take on the Urgothians, to protect their friends and fight alongside them in this conflict.

Back below and upon the battlefield, the combined forces of Nexus continued to drive back the Urgothian threat, the various armies of the Realms placing their differences aside for the time being so as to deal with the greater threat which opposed them.
Meanwhile, the five Davises and Kari remained within their conflict against Velgoth, the Dark Empress feeling a growing sense of disbelief to the fact that even her own overwhelming and great power seemed to have little effect against the menacing and regenerating monster.
Kari found she was further shocked when she, Fire Davis, Dark Davis and Light Davis managed to cleave through both of Velgoth's larger arms, which dissolved into the black blood before they could hit the ground, but the remnants of his limbs quickly regenerated.
Further showing its overwhelming power, Velgoth swung its newly regenerated arms upon his foes, striking the trio of Davises and sending them flying back toward Kari, to her concerns.
But shaking off their injuries, Fire Davis, Dark Davis and Light Davis pulled themselves to their feet, accompanied alongside Nature Davis and Water Davis.
"Devour All!" Velgoth bellowed once again as a dark red energy began to course throughout his body that the wicked beast gathered within his large maw and fired as a devastating blast toward the Davises.
Acting quickly and sharing in the determination to keep Kari protected, Fire Davis, Dark Davis, Light Davis, Nature Davis and Water Davis were all consumed in pillars of various forms of Mana energy, their united energies barely repelling Velgoth's attack.
Feeling their breaths caught within their throats to the sight before them, those watching onboard Miracle's Reach could only look on as the dark red energy blast continued to clash against the five pillars of Mana.
A temporary struggle took place between the five Davises and Velgoth, before the pillars of Mana managed to push through the darkness and to reveal that the five Davises were now within their Mana Forms.
Taking in Light Davis' Mana Form for the first time, Kari and the others looked to see that Archon was now somewhat taller than his variants and held an astonishing awe within his appearance.
Clad within golden armour, alongside white robes and now bearing six wings of pure light which emerged from out of his back, a helmet with six wings covered the top of Light Davis' head and only showed off the Light Mana within the armour.
As Light Davis and his variants glared upon Velgoth, the fearsome beast merely expelled another roar in response to his foes' and to sensing them powering up.
Slamming his fists into the ground and cracking the very earth beneath of him, Velgoth uprooted large debris of rock which floated within the air, each crackling with the dark red energy and were then thrown by the twisted monster.
In response to Velgoth hurling debris at them, the group scattered to avoid the large boulders from crushing them.
Bringing forth his hands and countering the attack, Light Davis unleashed a barrage of light energy blasts that struck down many of the flying rock formations, only for his eyes to widen as Velgoth brought both his larger hands onto the ground and lifted a massive chunk of rock out of the ground, the large slab consumed in the dark red energy which he then threw toward his foes.
Acting quickly, Fire Davis moved before his variants and Kari, where he gathered fire energy within his hands and unleashed a powerful blast of flame just before the rock slab could strike him, Kari or their allies, the attack incinerating the slab of stone before it could cause any harm.
His senses kicking in, however, Fire Davis quickly moved as Velgoth leapt through the debris and slammed his fist into the ground where the fire champion was standing, before the wicked beast turned his attention upon the other variants of the Motomiya and continued with his assault.
Moving together, the Mana Forms of the Davises prepared to strike against Velgoth.
Summoning tendrils of rock from the ground, Nature Davis tried to restrain the twisted being as Fire Davis rushed forward and began to pummel Velgoth's face with his fiery fists, his actions accompanied alongside Water Davis, Dark Davis and Light Davis as they rushed to strike at the beast with blades of plasma, darkness and of light.
Continuing to show off his immense strength, however, Velgoth bellowed with another terrifying roar as he broke through the stone tendrils and began to try and swat away the Davises.
Sending out his vine-like appendages to counter the champions of Nexus as they blocked and parried the oncoming attacks, the twisted beast then turned its attention back upon the Dark Empress.
"Consume!" Velgoth declared furiously as he rushed toward Kari.
Preparing to devour the Dark Empress and to feed his insatiable hunger, the sight brought dread and fear to the Davises as they tried to move past the vines and to reach their beloved before Velgoth could.
Bringing her weapons up and showing her power, Kari prepared to defend herself from the beast charging toward her
Refusing to run away or to show any weakness as the helpless Digidestined of Light she believed she used to be, especially now when her beloveds needed her the most, Kari remained strong.
Before Velgoth could strike Kari down, a series of Nature Mana infused arrows rained down upon the beast, the attack causing Velgoth to shriek in pain as he staggered backward and to then direct his rage toward something above the Dark Empress.
Sensing a great power behind her, one everyone upon the battlefield could sense, all stopped amongst their conflicts and to take in the new arrival.
Turning her head upward, Kari looked to see a being made entirely of wood and leaves descending down to the Dark Empress' side, a feminine being nearly as tall as the Fire, Dark and Water Emperors, one with a pair of wings made out of leaves emerging from her back.
Two branches emerged from out of the being's left arm, resembling a bow that served as the Nature being's weapon, while a pair of glowing green eyes could be seen through her concealed face, giving the being a regal appearance.
Feeling the immense power radiating from this new arrival and sensing the Nature Mana coursing through her, Kari smiled behind her face mask toward the knowledge that the Nature Empress had joined her within this battle.
"Drive the Urgothians back into their abyss!" The Nature Empress declared with a booming voice, one that seemed to invigorate the Nature Realm forces as they answered their ruler's call and then retaliated against the Urgothians with a renewed might.
At the same time, the very trees around the battlefield seemed to come to life, uprooting themselves and moving to aid the forces of Nexus as they used their roots and branches to crush any Urgothian that stood in their path, all at the command of their Empress.
Enraged toward the appearance of the Nature Empress, Velgoth expelled a rage-filled roar as he shook his body, dispelling the Nature Mana arrows embedded within his being, before he prepared to strike the Dark Empress and the ruler of the Nature Realm down once and for all.
Before the beast could attack, however, Velgoth's attention quickly changed as the five Davises moved in to strike, the Urgothian beast moving to dodge and parry their Mana infused attacks as the battle continued.
With their Nature Realm allies rejuvenated by the appearance of their ruler, the Fire Realm, Water Realm, Dark Realm and Light Realm forces pushed themselves forward, striking at the Urgothians and driving them back toward the Breach.
However, with the countless Urgothians that fell within the conflict, more and more seemed to emerge from the Breach, including some that resembled a twisted cross between a beetle and a priest, which all began to float around the vortex, their bug-like hands extended as they sent dark red energies into the Breach in an attempt to stabilize it and allow more reinforcements to emerge from the rift.
Continuing to watch from the briefing room aboard Miracle's Reach, those from the Digital World remained with a sense of unease, the desire to help their friends growing with each passing second, a feeling which Veemon and Gatomon held the deepest.
Looking around the room, TK looked into the eyes of each human, Digimon and Appmon present, a silent understanding being shared amongst them as they all came to the same agreement.
No matter what the consequences would be, the DDF and the Dark Imperium would no longer remain on the sidelines, not when their friends were in danger and could use all the help they could get.
Today and with the five Realms of Nexus fighting together, the Digital World would do their part to end this battle, one way or another.

Below Miracle's Reach, the battle between the forces of Nexus and the Urgothians raged on.
Providing aid to her children and her temporary allies, the Nature Empress unleashed a barrage of Nature Mana infused arrows upon the vile invaders, her attack striking down many and annihilating several of the priest-like Urgothians in the process.
Meanwhile, the five Mana Forms of Davis continued to battle Velgoth, accompanied by the Dark Empress.
The champions of Nexus and the Dark Empress pushed themselves to their limits, doing everything within their power to damage and drive the beast back into the Breach so as to protect Nexus and their allies.
Despite their best efforts, however, the vile Urgothian's regeneration seemed to be far greater than any of the attacks that the five Davises and Kari unleashed upon it, forcing the group to go on the defensive as they dodged and parried the onslaught of strikes from Velgoth's claws and vines.
Likewise, the five Davises knew that they had a time limit within their Mana Forms, and that they needed to stop Velgoth before their power ran out.
"Consume… Devour… Destroy…!" The beast bellowed as he moved to strike once again at Kari, while the five Davises moved around their beloved in an attempt to once again protect her from Velgoth's strike.
But before the vile beast could strike, Velgoth was consumed in an onslaught of various attacks, all of which caused Velgoth to stagger backwards a few feet as the champions of Nexus and the Dark Empress looked to see their new reinforcements, to see the DDF Digimon and the Appmon, along with those of the Dark Imperium that were onboard Miracle's Reach, descending to the ground and joining the battle.
The Brigadramon led the charge of the D-Brigade as they opened fire upon the Urgothians, while Arcturusmon rushed into battle, the Dark Digimon holding a wicked glee within his eyes as he struck down as many of the vile beasts with his drill-like claws, a sadistic smile upon his face as he unleashed his pent up fury.
Turning their gaze upwards, Kari and her beloveds then saw all their friends and allies from the Digital World descending down to join them.
Leading the group, TyrantVeedramon and Ophanimon: DM stayed close by one another, landing together before the Dark Empress and the Mana Forms of the Davises, the humans, Digimon and Appmon each containing a serious expression upon their faces.
From GrandGoldramon's shoulder, TK looked down upon the five Davises as he began to explain to them with a continued seriousness. "Look, I know you guys don't want us involved in the conflicts of Nexus, but this…"
"No, you all get your asses in this fight now or I'll flay you alive!" Dark Davis bellowed in rage, turning his head toward his fiery counterpart as he then questioned. "Why the hell did we leave them up there?!"
"Can we focus on the issue at hand?!" The fire champion questioned in reply, his inquiry followed up as Velgoth expelled another fearsome roar toward the newcomers, this prompting the groups to go on the offensive as they moved to strike down the Urgothian beast once and for all.
As the sounds of roaring filled the air, the group of heroes and heroines looked to see Blaze, Belezar, Cybrian, Jiraiya, Alcadeias and Faustian rejoining them, the partners of the five Davises unleashing their own attacks upon Velgoth as the group focused their attacks upon the beast, who shrieked in rage and annoyance as he was struck from every angle by his foes and their abilities.
Circling around the Urgothian abomination, Kari, the five Davises, their partners and their allies all gathered their respective energies, which they then unleashed as a powerful and unified attack upon Velgoth.
Striking the wicked beast with an onslaught of Mana and other elemental energies, the blast left Velgoth shrieking in pain and agony as his entire form was consumed in a pillar of light, one that could be seen for miles as the fighting stopped briefly and those upon the battlefield turned to see what had transpired.
Holding their breaths, the five Davises, Kari and their allies all waited to see if the beast was indeed defeated, that Velgoth was no more and that this battle would be over.
However, once the smoke cleared, a loud bellow of rage and fury filled the area as the heroes and heroines saw that Velgoth was still alive, albeit merely his skull and a pool of black blood that was quickly regenerating the remnants of the beast's horrid form.
"Are you kidding me?!" Many of the humans, Digimon and Appmon exclaimed in pure shock and disbelief as they remained unable to comprehend how such a foe survived such an attack and still seemed able to fight.
"Devour all…!" Velgoth then bellowed in rage, before thousands of black blood tendrils shot out of his reforming body, the sudden attack causing the heroes and heroines to quickly sweep around the battlefield and to avoid being grabbed by the black substance.
Looking around, however, the five Davises, Kari and the other watched as the blood tendrils grabbed many Urgothians, all of which began to shriek in agony as they were then pulled toward Velgoth, their bodies being absorbed inside of the beast as dark red energy began to build up around his being and was sent out as pulsing waves of energy in the process.
"What the hell is he doing now?!" Fire Davis questioned as he and the others shielded their eyes from the energy build up, only to look shocked as that power then shot outward, sending out a shockwave that sent most of the forces of Nexus and the Digital World flying backward.
Though scattered, the forces of Nexus and the Digital World remained unharmed as they regathered their bearings, before looking to see a series of red lightning now illuminating the sky, where they saw that Velgoth had now undergone an immense transformation.
Now larger than Quartzmon, the Urgothian beast's form was made entirely out of rock, the dark red energy flowing through its being as only its upper torso could be seen, while four massive stone arms were attached to the creature.
From his back and around its being, massive tendrils of stone flailed around wildly, the tendrils ready to strike down any who dared stand against Velgoth as giant masses of debris began to fall all around the battlefield.
Rising to their feet, however, the five Davises, each still within their Mana forms, along with Kari, their partners and their allies, knew that they could not back down, not until Velgoth was defeated and the Breach sealed.
It was do or die, and the champions of Nexus and the Digital World were willing to give it all to stop this monster once and for all.

PS: Again, I apologize for the late update, but a few days after the last chapter was posted, I did not feel well and went to the doctors for medicine, only to learn that the issue was bigger than expected and I spent the past two weeks in a hospital bed. I am still recuperating from the experience and will get the next chapter out as quickly as I can, so I ask once again for your patience.
