Chapter. 7 Tragic night.

We found ourselves in a modest-size café called Resting Moon. Inside the establishment, has a warm, cozy vibe. In front of the counter, we see man in his 40s wearing a simple dress shirt, tie, and vest he has brown hair, with little touch of gray and brown eyes and glasses on his name tag reads Joseph. Joseph is serving coffee to a woman in her early 30s the woman in question has long brown hair tied in a ponytail. She had on a simple business suit with the logo of Smart Brain and with her a simple black purse. At the end of the cafe, we noticed a mysterious man he is wearing a black hoody that was obscuring his face he had gray jeans combat boots he staring at the woman suspiciously.

The woman takes a sip of coffee felt soothing relaxed "As always Joseph this a delicious cup of coffee you have made."

"As always thank you for the compliment Susan." Joseph replied back with a simple smile.

"Well, it's getting late; I might as well head home. Have a wonderful evening, Mr. Joseph," said Susan as she stood up from her seat put on her purse, left some money on the counter, and headed for the door. Once she had left the cafe, the hooded man stood up, left some money on the counter, and rushed toward the door.

"If you're planning on killing her please do it outside of the premise of my establishment Kazue!" Joseph annoyingly stated causing this man to stop in his tracks by mentioning his name, Kazue removes his hood as he looking back at Joseph with a slight furious expression. Kazue is in his early twenties he has dark hair and eyes his face is covered up with a medical mask.

"No promises Joseph." Kazue said as he put his hood back on.

"Now if ya excuse me excuse me I have a killer to kill!" Kazue angrily stated as he slammed the door startling Joseph.

"Well... This is certainly an interesting site. I wonder what Susan did to incur his wrath; I've never seen this side of him before. It's rather quite frightening and very intriguing." Joseph commented as he watched another one of his customers leave his cafe.

Now far away from the cafe Susan heads for her home she then stops for a moment to open her purse and takes out a photographs she stares at it with a sad and longing look.

"Hey lady!"

Susan stop as she here's someone angrily calling her She turns around to see to Kazue who's still had his hood on.

"Can I help you sir?" Susan asked In a polite but cautious tone as she put away the photo.

"Susan Smith, I sentence you to death for the murder and disappearance of Abigail Williams," Kazue declared, sending a chill down Susan's spine as she sensed his intense, murderous intent.

"I have no idea what you mean, sir," Susan said, trying to play oblivious. "I'm just a simple lady, coming back from work." Kazue didn't buy it; if anything, her playing innocent only enraged him further.

"You you are not fooling me lady, I got a tip from a guy that says he saw you do it and he showed me the videos and photos of you siring Abigail!" Kazue said as he pulled out a silver hexagonal-shaped buckle and placed it around his waste before taking out a flash drive memory. The memory was black with a ribcage design on it was the letter A.

"Not only that he always show me evidence of you doing this in three other states!" He sounded as he pressed a button on his memory.

ARMS

"It all end here tonight!" Kazue Exclaims as he inserts the memory into his buckle and undergo a transformation. He had a red colored body with armor chest boots two different gauntlet shoulder guards, the right side have a few spikes on it while the left side has a few blades on it, and has clear metal skull on his head He has a broken long sword on his back. The one thing that stood out was a silver belt buckle with a yellow orb in the center the arms dorpan.

Wasting no time he takes out his large broken sword charges for an attack. Reacting quickly Susan transformed into her orphnoch form to dodge his strike, her form is that of an earth ball mushroom.

The earth ball Orphan summons a mace like weapon and uses it to attacks Arm; Arms blocks her weapon with his broken sword then he transforms his left arm into a double-barreled shotgun, and shoots her three times in the chest. He then swiftly attacks with his broken sword, throws away his weapon, and proceeds to punch her several times, follow by a couple of kicks and knees to her gut and face. Finally, he delivers an axe kick to her shoulder, grabs her face, and headbutts her before delivering a final roundhouse kick to send her into a nearby alleyway.

The earth ball orphnoch reverted back to her human form. Susan struggles to stand the beating she received from Arms did some major damage Arms picks up his sword and proceed to the alley.

"You know I've really over estimated you I thought you would be some kind of dangerous woman, but really though you're just a weekly. It doesn't matter my job here is done." Arm taunts as he's looking down at Mary with a slight disappointment Susan just Glares at him Arms Points his sword at her neck.

As he was about to deliver the final blow, he was suddenly struck by an energy blast and knocked to the ground unconscious. Susan looked at him with confusion as he reverted back to his human form.

"My, that was a close one," Susan suddenly felt a slight chill in the air. Upon hearing the voice coming from the direction it had come from, the individual stepped out of the shadows and into view that individual was none other than N.V.

"W-who are you and what do you want?" Susan asked in a frightened tone; she couldn't explain it, but she felt something ominous and dangerous emanating from him.

"There's no need to be alarmed, my dear; I just saved your life from certain doom." N.V said in a casual, soft tone as he knelt down and extended his hand to the woman in front of him.

"So how about you be less stubborn and take my helping hand?" N.V says as he motions for her to come closer. Susan looks at him with concern and worry, but eventually takes his hand and allows him to help her off the ground.

"There see I don't bite." N.V says humorously before snapping his fingers in a portal emerge which frightened Susan.

"Wow you are a jittery lady come along I have a feeling that your enemy will wake up at any moment." He advised that he stepped through the portal scene no other options Susan did as well leaving Kazue all alone unconscious in the alley.

On the other side she comes to the layer of N.V. to her it was nothing but a cave only thing that stood out to her was the throne N.V caught her glancing at his throne.

"Ah, I see you are captivated by my humble throne; it's nothing much, but I love to sit upon it that's where I do my best thinking. While sitting upon it, I scheme and plot." He says in a very cheerful and humble manner, then looks at Susan with great intensity, despite being shrouded under a hood; she could not help but feel his intensity.

"Come on, don't be shy; say something! What's on your mind? Come on, don't leave me hanging. I like to hear what you have to say or any questions you may have for me. Don't be shy; come on, come on, say something." He says very intensely in a humorous way.

"Um thank you for saving me Mr... um pardon my rudeness sir but what is your name?"

"Oh yes sorry about that where are my manners my name is N.V Mrs Smith a pleasure to meet you my." N.V says in a very gentlemanly manner while mimicking a humble bow upon her sharing say her last name she stumbles a bit in a panic manner.

"H-how do you know my name?"

"Oh, there's no need to be alarmed or frightened, my dear. Let's just say I've been keeping a close eye on you for a while. I know exactly who you are, Mrs Smith. I know about your escapades throughout your times in Washington, California New Mexico and finally Texas, and I also know your entire backstory including why you've been targeting young girls who bear a striking resemblance to your lost daughter." N.V says in a very amusing low dangerous tone.

"What!?" Susan panics at the information he just revealed but quickly composed herself probably hoping to fake or lie to this man about everything he just said but N.V places his finger on her lips preventing her from speaking.

"Oh, and don't think about lying or faking your innocence because anyone with half a brain would immediately suspect something if you did. The only one who seemed to care about the missing children was Mr. Kobayashi. He was at a dead end trying to figure out what was going on, and don't forget what I mentioned earlier that I was watching. I will be honest with you; I am the one who fed him that information." N.V informed her which further shocked her and confused her many things were going through her head and what he revealed two questions we're going through her head one why is he telling her this and what is he trying to do right now.

"Oh, and by the way, you're probably wondering why I had Mr. Kobayashi go after you even though I saved you?" He asked in a rhetorical manner as he let go of her lips which which caused her to fall on the ground and try to scurried away but N.V stop sir as he lives up his hand freezing her in place.

"Well, here's the rundown, Miss Smith. For quite a while, I have needed someone to help to get rid of a pest, and I've been looking for individuals who would be willing to assist me in my endeavor to rid unless annoying past well I do see some humor entertainment in him but he could ruin a lot of things that I've been working for. And before you run away or start screaming or attacking me, let me remind you." N.V Lord has hand freeing Susan but then suddenly she felt a tight grip on her neck gasping for air then lift it up in the air then was force to face N.V.

"You can't deny my request, even if you try to run away from me or trick me; just know that there will be consequences for lying to me or running from me. Even if you somehow manage to escape, I will find you and eliminate you. Once I have someone I need, I am not letting them go. You will obey me do I make myself clear!" He says dangerously as eyes begin to glow under his shrouded hood intimidating Susan.

"W-what do you want with me?!" She asked as she's losing breath seeing that she's willing to comply to his demands N.V immediately lets her go dropping her to the ground.

"Oh, I'm so glad you're willing to hear me out now! I'll give you the rundown; just try to get rid of a guy named Rey Ochoa. He lives in Royal Woods with a large family of 13 if you do that I'll give you anything what you want." he's says in a happy cheerful go lucky manner.

"Not to be rude but what's in it for me if I help you?" Yeah that she gets up dusting herself and massaging her neck.

"Oh, I'm glad you asked, if you successfully defeat him I will help you revive your lost daughter." this proposal from him got her attention and looks at him with curiosity and caution one question in her mind is how can he do that where she failed to do so herself.

"Before you start questioning how I can do that when you failed, let me be honest with you miss Susan. All the little girls you have sired always end up dying because, well, there's a very slim chance any of them will become an Orphnoch like you. Even if you succeed, none of them will be in a suitable replacement for your little girl. You can try brainwashing them all you like, but in the end of the day, they won't be her. " N.V said with brutal honesty which causes students in to be more sudden and filled with guilt knowing deep down that he has a point which further hurt her.

"So, I will give you a little bit of a better alternative." N.V said it begins digging into his cloak.

"Like I said before, I know a lot about you and your motives and they all centered around your daughter." N.V continues.

"Your daughter was a bit of a spooky, little individual; creepy-looking, almost Gothic - the complete opposite of you and your husband. Unfortunately, around the time she was eight years old, she perished, along with your husband. You somehow miraculously survived." N.V informs what he knows about her which causes Susan to look even more down as tear slowly started to come out of her eyes of the sheer mention of her child and her husband.

"But upon waking up, you found yourself in a state of panic in a hospital, asking where your husband and daughter were. But then you were met by a small group of doctors and nurses who delivered the bad news. Upon hearing the news, and wounded up releasing a loud scream of the spare which ended Awakening your Orphnoch powers which end up killing everyone in that and your vicinity." He explained Susan to kneel down and weep silently.

"After your little meltdown, you somehow ended up in this world with very little memory. then you were found by Smart Brain and you have been in their employment ever since. Still haven't gotten over your grief in the process you discovered the ability to sire, thinking in a moment of twisted desperation you thought to use ability to bring back someone that for a resemblance to your daughter, but all of them failed. Every single one of them. unfortunately thanks to your careless actions there has been an open investigation about the disappearances of these missing girls. which unfortunately Mr Kobayashi to you." He finished as he found the item in question he was looking for.

"Why are you telling me this? Are you trying to make me feel guilty that I already am!?" Susan yelled and glares in frustration at his cheerful casual talking manner of tone sensing some twisted delight in what he's talking of her past.

"Oh no, my dear! I'm already enjoying your misery; But before you get angry, let me show you something." He says calmly as he presents her a strange glowing blue orb in front of her.

"What's that?" Susan asked as she admired the shining beauty of the orb.

"This, my dear, I call a Memory Orb. This little orb contains the essence soul and memories of your departed little Maria." Susan gasp.

"You see, I have the ability to transfer memories souls and essence of individuals into other bodies. If you help me, I will give you this orb, and you can use it however you wish. You can use it on anyone you choose, and instantly, your daughter Maria will be revived; she'll come back to life, as if nothing had ever happened. It will seem like her death was just a terrible nightmare." N.V informed Susan looks at the orb she takes in everything that he informed her she begins to think carefully and what to do the possibility to revive her Lost child or right in front of her thinking of brief moment she looks at him with determined look.

"What do I have to do?" Susan asked as N.V whistles.

"Wow! Immediate reply response and acceptance you don't see that many everyday." N.V snaps his fingers an instant a file appear as it is other hand.

"I need you to simply lure out and eliminate my adversary his name is Rey Ochoa the sum it up he's pretty much a goody two shoes wannabe hero with a special power; now in order to lure him out, you can use anyone or anything. He's not picky about helping out anyone, but I recommend you use someone from this family. He's staying with." He said as he handed the file over to Susan and took it upon opening it, it showed a small list details and images of the Loud family. As she was skimming through the contents of the file, one of the individuals of the Loud family caught her attention, and her attention led to the image of Lucy.

Susan gasped upon seeing Lucy's photo. She took out of the photo she had with her and compared it to the one of Lucy. The photo showed an image of Maria with a man with black hair and glasses. In the middle of them was a girl, roughly the same age as Lucy, who bore a very similar appearance; the only difference being that one of her eyes wasn't covered by her bangs.

"I see you found Lucy." N.V snatches the photo that Susan has in her hand.

"Hmm... Looking at her in the picture, she does bare a little resemblance to Maria." N.V commented as he looked at both photos before handing the photo back to her as he handed her the photo. A malicious idea just popped into his head.

"I just had a crazy idea; why don't you use Lucy to lure him out?" N.V said.

"Why are you suggesting her?" Susan asked.

"Well recently those two have been growing a little closer to each other. You see I have little spy drone that spy on my enemy every 24/7." N.V brings up his phone and shows her the video he has recorded of his enemy, he filed every single one of them under each Loud siblings name he selected the file that contained Rey's interactions with Lucy.

"Lucy Loud is an interesting little girl for her age; she has a very Gothic style and a very unusual fascination with death. She also has a habit of sneaking up behind her family and scaring them, however, the one person she couldn't scare was Ray." He explained as he selected a random video. The video showed Lucy trying to sneak up behind Rey, but he called her name, catching her off guard. The next video showed them doing the exact same thing over and over again, each time with a slight change in their actions.

"I have no idea how he does it. He just seems to know exactly where she's going to be, so I'll give you permission to use her as bait to lure him out. Also, if you manage to eliminate him, you can use Lucy as a vessel to revive your precious Maria. Do we have a deal?" Susan immediately grabs his hand and shakes it.

"Yes, I will eliminate him if it means getting my little Maria back," Susan says with a dangerously determined look on her face. N.V merely chuckles at her acceptance.

"Then we have a deal," he says eerily as he snaps his fingers and a portal emerges.

"Step through the portal, Miss Smith, it will take you straightly to Royal woods although I have no control where it sends you into the town also don't forget if you can't eliminate him, Maria will be gone forever no pressure though." N.V says humorously Susan just simply Claire's at him and steps through once she stepped through the portal disappears when she's gone he begins to laugh hysterically.

"Grieving parents are so easy to use!" He stayed venomously as he pulls out the little orb he showed her.

"This little crate of my crate is nothing but a mere parlor trick of illusion." He says medically as he crushes it.

"Sorry Ms. Smith, but your little Maria is forever gone, no matter what I can do. The dead can never come back or be restored, Maria is forever lost in your world." N.V cackles as he reaches his throne and sits on it.

"You know, a part of me almost feels bad for using her...but too bad, I'm just too chaotic to care or be sentimental. Miss Smith is a necessary sacrifice to initiate Operation Labyrinth; once it's complete, everything else will fall into place, and things will finally play out according to my plan and the rider will never know what hit him." N.V laugh louder hysterical.

6:40 pm at the Loud house.

We see Rey in the kitchen in front of the refrigerator. humming something creepy eerie and haunting' he opens the freezer door, takes out the popsicle tray, then he takes out a tiny little device play the tiny device on the train then puts it back in the freezer then closes it.

"Thank you, Claire, for the security measures; now those kids won't dare grab my special ice cream." He says with a devilish smirk.

'Master, I sensed Lucy approaching; I just wanted to give you a heads-up.' Meni warned as she mentioned Lucy was behind him walking behind him steadily Rey nodded his head slightly.

"Hey Lucy what's up?" Rey asked which causes her to stop.

"Sigh once again you caught me off guard." She asked.

"Sorry but that kiddo." Rey chuckles as he turns around to kneel down to her eye level.

"So what are you doing in the kitchen?"

"Oh nothing much, just putting a little security measure on my homemade ice cream. I don't want any of y'all to swipe my special ice cream. I had the idea ever since Lincoln was at Gus' games. You know, when he took Lori's shift to go to that Romance Under the Sea dance party." He explains.

"It must be something special if you're going that far too protect it." Lucy commented.

"Well, this particular ice cream that I made does hold a special place in my heart; I won't go into details about it, just know that it's special to me." Rey sighed in a sad tone, but he quickly shook his head and regained his composure.

"But enough about me what brings you into the kitchen?" He asks curiously.

"Nothing much I heard someone started humming a tune of horror despair and it turned out to be you," She explained, causing Rey to laugh nervously and blush in embarrassment.

"Sorry about that, I was listening to some random Japanese music on random that I listen to on occasion sorry about that if it might have disturb you." Rey says apologetically then he suddenly had a small flashback when he was humming certain songs that Disturbed his family members.

"Don't apologize; I liked hearing what you were humming. It would make the perfect background music for when I'm writing my poems." Lucy since with a hint of excitement Rey let's out a annoyed sigh as a facepawn himself.

"Well, I'm glad you liked it!" Rey said feeling that he might have unintentionally inspired Lucy as he removed his hand he noticed Lucy making her way to the front door.

"Hey where you going Lucy?" He as curiously.

"oh I'm about to go on my nightly strolls at the graveyard." She answers Rey simply shakes his head and sighs.

"I'm not too sure, Lucy. To be honest with you, your parents and siblings probably don't mind or notice when you're gone, but I personally don't feel comfortable seeing someone of your age going on a nightly stroll by themselves. I may not be living here for very long with your family, I can't live myself something bad happened to you if I let you go just as the sun's about to go down." Rey says very concerningly.

"Don't worry about me Rey. I have done this before many times and I always come home safe." Lucy says. But Rey isn't so sure, even though he's well-aware of what Lucy can do and he knows she could be safe on her own. Ever since his arrival and the multiple appearances of the Orphnochs and Fangres, it's a different time in this world. He pauses for a moment to think that ultimate came to an answer and stood up.

"All right if you insist, but I insist that I see you off." Rey said as he opened the door for Lucy. She walked through it, and he followed her out onto the porch

"All right Lucy see you in a little bit." Rey says as he watches her as she's leave the house getting close to being out of his view.

'You're going to follow her aren't you?' all the Pokemon asked.

"Yep I get a weird gut feeling something bad is going to happen to her tonight." he explains as he proceeds to follow Lucy out of certain distance away from her eyes view or anyone's view.

"Call me a worry warts but I really don't feel comfortable for a child of her age to be wandering alone at night especially at some graveyard." He explained as he continues to tell her.

'There's no need to give us a reason, boss, even though she may seem scary, she's still just a kid. We can't blame you for being worried about her; you have a soft spot for them, especially for someone like her Lincoln and maybe some of his younger sisters.' Onibi says in a very understanding tone.

'Despite her appearance and unsettling interest in the dead, I personally find her to be very adorable. I even find it especially adorable that she purposefully tries to sneak up behind you to scare you.' Kaori stated which caused Rey to roll the eyes when she was already aware of this.

'You seriously find what she does adorable? The kid creeps me out beyond belief the thing she does the thing she's interested seriously that kid is not normal!' Kestrel commented on opinions of Lucy.

"Hey, ease up on her, alright Kestrel, I get it Lucy can't be creepy at some point, but right now we need to make sure she stays safe got it." Rey stated.

'Okay whatever you say boss I'll ease up on the negative comments on Lucy.' Kestrel says in begrudged tone.

"Thank you now let's continue on the objective making sure Lucy comes home safely." Rey nothing or says as he continues to observe her at a distance without being spotted.

Elsewhere, a portal opened and out stepped Susan. As the portal closed behind her, she began to inspect her surroundings. The location she found herself in appeared to be a cemetery, littered with many tombstones of various shapes and from a far distance, she could see an old, crumbling, withering house.

"A cemetery?" Susan said in a confused manner.

"Well that's sadistic jerk did say that the portal will take me somewhere random in Royal woods." said in a deadpan tone.

"All right enough dilly dally time to go after-" Right as she was about to finish her sentence she spots someone at the entrance of the cemetery to her surprise and shock it was none other than Lucy Loud herself walking into the cemetery.

"Perfect." She says as she heads for Lucy I see what she had her head down in a acting motion of morning as she walked past her she opened her purse and pulled out a small pistol like gun she quickly turns around and points at it at Lucy.

"Forgive me." Susan says somberly as she shoots her Lucy gaspes quietly as she falls to the ground Susan goes to her she briefly looks at her at her back a small dart.

Outside of the entrance we see Rey glancing at the entrance he growls softly when he sees Lucy on the ground and a strange woman towering over her he quickly retreated opened his jacket and pulled out his driver.

"You know I have to think Leni for answer my request to add extra pockets in my jacket - one pocket for my manga's and the other for my driver. It really beats having to lug around a backpack everywhere just to carry either them." Rey says as he placed the driver on opening it and grabbed his ride booker transforming into its gun mode he then proceeds to enter in the cemetery and point it at Susan.

"Hey!" He shouted Susan to turn around and to her surprise, it was her other target, Rey, standing there with his weapon pointed at her, glaring at her with great intent. Before he could do anything, he glanced at Susan's attire and noticed a name tag with her name and the logo of Smart Brain, he glared more intensely.

"All right you smart brain grunt what have you done to Lucy?!" Rey shot it in the demanding tone Susan tossed away her weapon and purse and glared at Ray with a dead hollow stare.

"Rey Ochoa." Rey flinches when she spoke his name question on how she knows his name.

"My employer is paying handsomely for your death; if I kill you, I get this girl, and he'll get me what I want," Susan says as she transforms into her Orphnoch form.

"And nothing will stand in my way to revive my sweet Maria!" She exclaims as she summons a German mace-like weapon and charges forward to attack Rey. Rey leaps backward, dodging the attack and destroying the ground beneath his feet.

"Hey, show some respect for those who are resting here at this cemetery!" Rey exclaimed as he open his ride booker pulled out his card and insert it into his driver.

"Henshin!" Rey shouts while inserting the card into his driver then closing it in a quick instant he has transformed Susan is in a little bit of shock upon seeing Rey transform.

'So that's the power he talked about it doesn't matter this will not deter me.' Susan tighten her maze and charged at Decade with great determination.

Decade quickly evaded her attack then threw a punch in her face falling it with a kick to her stomach which caused her to stagger he then took out two of his pokeballs then threw them in the air out of the pokéballs came out Onibi Mine Susan recovered she then laid her eyes on the Pokemon.

'What on Earth are they?!' She says confused for this her first time seen anything like them.

"Onibi Mine take Lucy somewhere safe I'll deal with this Orphnoch."

"Roger that boss." Onibi saluted then direct his attention to Mine

"Come on sis let's get Miss spooky somewhere safe." Onibi ordered as Mine used her psychic powers to lift Lucy up; the two of them proceeded to run to find a safer location away from the fight. Susan saw them leaving with Lucy.

"I won't let you-" As she's about to give Chase she will suddenly stopped when she when she was shot at three times feeling the immense pain from her back she turns around and sees Decade pointing his gun at her.

"Word of advice lady never take your guys off your target." Decade stated as he shot another round at her hitting her shoulder.

Susan groans in pain but quickly shrugged it off and proceeded to attack him angrily.

Elsewhere away from the fight Onibi and Mine who is now holding Lucy in her arms are trying to find a much more secure place for themselves and Lucy.

"all right sis what be a good place to hide the three of us in a cemetery? Because I'm not seeing anything too interesting here to hide I feel really creeped out and weird to be here." Onibi stops for moment to shiver.

"Wow I never thought I'd get a chance to hear that a ghost type fighting of a cemetery." Mine stop as well just to give him a deadpan stare.

"Hey, I'm only part Ghost type; I can't help it I mean, who wouldn't be creeped out by a cemetery at night?" Onibi asked in rhetorical manner.

"You've got a good point there anyway. We need to find a proper hiring place for Lucy. I need to make sure there are no signs of injuries to this poor girl I'm confident on Master can hold his own against that Orphnoch but I don't want us to be on the open as potential targets." Mine stated Onibi scandy area to find any place that could be potential hiding places his gaze landed upon a old rundown house.

"Hey sis, how about we hide in that old, crumbling house over there? It looks big and creepy, but it should be safe enough to hide in." Onibi pointed Mine looked at it she noticed the age in the slight decay.

"It will have to do let's move in." Mine stated as she headed to the crumbling house with Lucy still in her arms and Onibi followed next but ran of a head up being the first one at the house stopped and rammed the door open Mine arrived and she saw Onibi did and mimic a gentlemanly welcoming gesture to a lady.

"After you two please." he said in a gentlemanly manner Mine rolled her eyes and annoyance of his little joke but took the offer and headed inside.

Upon entering the house, the place looked a bit crumbling, old, and worn down. There wasn't much inside, just old furniture covered in tarps and blankets. I spotted an old couch and headed towards it, where I laid Lucy down and began inspecting her Onibi approaches her and sees Mine at work.

"So how is she?" Onibi ask concerningly about Lucy's condition.

"There appear to be no signs of fractures, and no other obvious injuries. There is a small scuff mark on her nose, which I assume she got from falling face-first." Mine informed then she places one finger on her neck to feel a pulse she sighs in relief to feel that it's normal.

"More good news her pulse is normal as well she's just really knocked out I'm not sure how long she'll be out but for now let's just watch over her until the master returns to give us the all." Mine informed yet again Onibi smiled at the good news he was given.

"Well, I'm glad to know Spooky is all right, but my question is how did that creepy puffball manage to get the drop on her? From what we saw from the boss's perspective, she's very sneaky and not easily startled or frightened."

"I don't know, but the important thing is that she's all right. You stand guard at the door; I'll watch over her." Mine ordered Onibi knotted and heads to the door but he didn't stop to take a quick glance at Lucy.

"You know sis, despite how Lucy acts and looks the way she is right now, she looks rather peaceful, not going to lie though, she's still creepy, but she looks rather peaceful anyway. I'll be on guard duty making sure she stays safe." Onibi said as he took his position by the door. Mine nodded her head and sat down on the couch next to Lucy. She lifted her head and rested it on her lap, then gently stroked her hair.

"You're safe now, Lucy. Don't worry; the two of us won't let anything happen to you. I promise." Mine says says any gentle soft nurturing voice.

Back at the cemetery, Decade and Susan are still fighting with no end in sight, as neither side lets up whatsoever, continuing to fight with their weapons back and forth with no end in sight the two of them have entered in a deadlock with their weapons.

"I have to give you credit; you are tenacious and persistent, and I don't want to sound like a battle-obsessed adrenaline junkie, but I am actually starting to get a little excited about this fight." Decade said in an almost menacing tone which slightly disturbed him, he regain his composer and headbutted her then punched her in the face knocking her on the ground.

"While I do find our time together to be both entertaining and somewhat disturbing, I don't have all night to do this, and I really do not want to drag this senseless battle out any longer. I'll ask again: What are your plans for Lucy, and how does this Maria fit into this?" Decade asked in a calm but demanding tone Susan hastily gets up while stumbling a little bit.

"I have nothing to say to you. All you need to know is that I will complete my mission and nothing will stand in my way. That's all you're getting from me!" Susan stated in defiant manner as she goes for another attack Decade shakes his head in sigh's as he dodges all of her strikes.

"If that is your answer, then all right; one way or another, I will get my answers from you. I don't want any more unanswered questions from the dead on my conscience." Decades says in a somber like tone as he opened his driver and ride booker and took out two cards and kicks her hard.

"To increase the odds of this fight I will use these two to end this fight." Decade said determingly as he inserts two of the cards into his driver then closes it.

FORM RIDE: DEN-O AXE

SPECIAL RIDE: BISON AXE

Yellow pixels came out of the belt before forming up on Decade. He is now donned in a black bodysuit with a black chest plate and white with the white parts higher up with a silver line in the center that looks like train trucks. The helmet has a silver liner running down the middle with a silver mouth plate and black eyes armor spun around before it snapped onto body the pieces of additional armor then appeared. The shoulder armor is rounded and yellow with red dots in the center and metal pipes across the sides, of his chest armor yellow on the sides are ridged black plates in the front it had two metal tubes across the top of the armor The next thing was something grinding down the rail of his helmet, it resembled an axe blade before it unfolded. His mask was a white track on the top going to the yellow mask made up of two triangles over his eyes the slits in the mask the large axe blade now extending from the front of his helmet next a double-bladed black bison axe emerged from his driver and caught it.

Finally the entire armor released a golden yellow flash as pieces of paper formed out of nowhere and fell around him. Decade had transformed into Den-O Axe Form.

"Ore no tsuyosa ni, omae ga naita. (My strength has made you cry)"D-Den-O AF stated as he pop his neck with his left thumb Susan however are confuse on what he just said.

'Really, boss, you're using that form and catchphrase again? How cheesy.' Kestrel says in a scoffing and teething like tone Secade growled behind his mask at the response of his Pokemon.

D-Den-O AF simply said nothing as he lifted his left hand taunting her with a single finger motion saying come and get me. Seeing this gesture annoyed her and it irritated her.

She complied and charged forward to attack Den-O AF with her mace. As she struck him, to her surprise, he did not move; she struck again, but he remained standing, growling. She began to strike him more aggressively, as she continued to attack him with no hesitation as he continues to take her attack she to grow more hastily and annoyingly at his defiance seeing that Susan is slowing down using all of his strength he shoves her away from him.

"Quick question, is swing your mace all can you really do? if that's all you've got? Kind of disappointing." D-Den-O said in disappointing tells you rest his axe on his right shoulder.

Feeling somewhat offended, Susan began ripping off the mushrooms from her body and throwing them at him. The moment they made contact, each mushroom exploded, releasing a cloud of powder like substance into the air. She continued to throw more and more, pelting him relentlessly. However, he remained standing firmly on the ground. Once the explosive mushrooms had stopped his area is covered in a large in the substance the substance covered the entire area it was so thick he could barely see anything from it.

"You know I brought this upon myself should not tempt my enemies." D-Den-O AF said with a deadpan tone suddenly out of nowhere Susan begins to attack him more savagely aggressive surprising him yet again once again proven that her efforts are benign seeing this was an effect that she decided to throw several punches dropkicks ax kicks needs the gut kick them both on his left and right sides try to kick him in the back leg all again and effective she growled and frustration as she raised her mace behind him.

"WHY WON'T YOU STAY DOWN YOU WORTHLESS-" Right as she's about to finish her sentence D-Den-O AF spins around quick and swings his axe cutting her deeply as she falls in pain ash starts to spew out of her body.

"You know I let you have your fun now it's time to finish this and get the answers I want from you, lady." D-Den-O AF stated menacingly as he inserted one of his cards into his driver.

ATTACK RIDE: SLASH

A pink pixelated energy surrounding on both blades of the bison axe.

'All right here goes nothing.' D-Den-O AF Axe rushed towards Susan to deliver the attack. Susan immediately got up and tried to block his attack, but unfortunately, the energy that surrounded the blade cut through her weapon like butter. He proceeded to slash at her in multiple directions, then finished it off with a downward slash then delivered a powerful punch knocking her down.

"That did it I hope I didn't go overboard?" D-Den-O AF said as he returns to his original form.

"Is...that all you...got?!" Decade is in shock to see Susan getting up but in the process she reverted back to her human form ash spewing out of her body then suddenly blue embers started to emerge from her body.

"I'm not... done yet..." Susan says I see limps towards Decade summoning another mace.

'Okay, this is somewhat disturbing, but impressive. She threw everything she had at you and you didn't falter; you unleashed everything you had and managed to knock her down, but yet she's still standing, despite her obvious critical injuries you dealt her!' Ryūsei exclaimed he's astonished at this woman resilience defiance and determination not only him but so did the rest of the Pokemon.

Susan Dash's for another assault but Decade quickly grabs her arm he tightened his grip on her force her to drop her weapon.

"Please stop! You've already lost; your body is spewing ash and you are slowly being engulfed in blue flames. Your end is near. Just stop, please." Decade said in a pleading tone, almost begging her to stop. Suddenly, his hand started glowing a pale blue light, and Susan's eyes began to glow as well. The eyes of his helmet also started to glow blue, and a blinding light started to envelop them both.

Then suddenly, the light that had engulfed them had died down, and we saw Rey standing there without his helmet on, wearing only his Rider armor, alone in a mysterious dark, gray hallway that resembled the ones found in hospitals.

"All right, where the heck am I?" He asks in a confused tone.

"Hey guys, have any idea where we could be?" Rey asked his Pokemon, but there was no immediate response.

"Um... guys can you hear me? Please speak up!" Ray spoke up once more praying to get a response he also pray that what they're doing right now is a prank but after more brief silence got his answer.

"All right, wherever I am, this place is either cutting off my connection to them or they're not with me." Rey says in an annoyed tone as he looks around his surroundings.

"Well standing here in this place is not going to solve anything; better look around this place, probably find some answers and for whatever reason I'm getting a sense of deja vu just by being here." Rey said determinedly as starts walking down the hallway to find answers as to where he is when all of a sudden.

"Lucas Maria where are you!?"

Rey stopped and heard a voice of a distraught woman. He followed the sound of her voice and turned a corner of the hallway on the right side there an open room with the lights shining through you stop some moment inspects it then heads inside to see what was going on.

In the room, he sees a doctor and a couple of nurses tending to a woman lying on the hospital bed. The woman in front of him looked to his surprise it was Susan; he could easily recognize her just by her appearance, even though her hair was a little messy. Curious, he begins to listen in on what's happening here.

"Ma'am, please calm down." The doctor asked and a calm neutral tone.

"Where are they? Where are my husband and daughter!?" Susan asking demandingly.

"Mrs Smith please breathe and listen to the doctor." One of the nurses said.

"You're in a terrible accident; you were in a coma for about a month. You were fortunate enough to survive, but... I have to tell you the bad news..." the doctor explained but there was a medium pause as the atmosphere grew heavy he looked up to miss Susan with eyes of somber.

"Your husband and daughter didn't make it. I'm so sorry Mrs Smith." the doctor said somebody there was a long bit of silence but Susan scoffed as got up the nurses try to help her but she shove them away and marched towards the doctor laughing hysterically.

"No no no t-t-this can't be there has to be some mistake please doctor please... tell me you're not joking please this is the dream right this has to be a dream right right?!" Susan asked as her voice cracked as tears started streaming down on receiving the news she couldn't believe it praying that everything was understood it was a joke but unfortunately the doctor looked straight in her face still somberly and shook his head.

"I'm truly I'm sorry Mrs Smith but it's the trust." The doctor said Susan falls to her knees it begins to cry.

"Noooooooo!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, then out of nowhere, the room began to shake. She let out a powerful shockwave that pushed the doctor and the nurses away. Then, right before Rey's eyes, she saw her transformation. Suddenly, everything went black, and then things changed. Gone was the hospital room. now it was replace by a high-tech facility sure is what this facility is begin to explore this new location.

"Holy crap! No wonder I was getting deja vu I'm watching Mrs. Smith's memories just like in the bosses and memory fragments from Code Vein." Rey says both excitement and surprise, but also a little bit of guilt, as he realizes he may have been intruding into someone else's personal space without meaning to another question dinner Rose from this how is he doing this how did he enter her memories he doesn't possess any of the abilities of the remnants from code vein and other question arose from this how much does he need to see before leaving.

"Normally, I'm against invading someone's personal space and privacy, but that woman was being very hostile about giving me the answers I wanted, and besides, I'm already here, so might as well get what I can from this moment and maybe find out who sent her to go after Lucy. At least now I know who Maria is; let's get on with this." Rey says as he heads deeper of the memories of this facility he soon comes to an end when he finds a room open and heads inside.

In this room, we see Susan sitting up; she appears to be talking to a doctor and some nurses. As soon as Rey noticed something was different about the doctor and nurses, she recognized the emblem of Smart Brain on their coats and uniforms.

"Oh heavens! Our mysterious Jane Doe has awakened." The doctor exclaims with great jubilation as did the nurses as well.

"Jane Doe?" Susan said confused.

"Where am I what is this place this is not the hospital room I was in."

"Easy ma'am you just woke up you have been asleep for a day." One of the nurse said.

"I know this is sudden ma'am but we like to ask you questions do you remember anything at your last 24 hours?" The doctor asked curiously Susan lowered her head and begins recall her events.

"I remember waking up in a panic as a doctor and some nurses came in to check on me. I demanded to know where my husband and daughter were. The doctor that was seeing me told me...they didn't make it. I was in complete shock and denial, I started rambling begging them that they told me was a joke. Unfortunately, my nightmares were true; then I broke down and everything went black." Susan finished as she begins to break down crying out everything she felt.

The memory ends and it fades to black. The next scene shows him walking down another hallway leading to another open room. As he enters, he sees Susan who appears to be in some kind of laboratory filled with various medical equipment typically found in hospitals or research facilities she is sitting on a chair focusing at the doctor who were reading some kind of papers to her.

"Let me get this straight," Susan said in a confused tone. "This isn't my world, this is also not my state of Washington, and somehow I ended up becoming something called an Orphan? This company has been around for a long time, and it was created by our kind to help function within society without drawing any suspicion."

"That is correct, Ms. Smith. The answers you provided us, along with the DNA sample we obtained from you, leave no doubt that you are not from this world and indeed, you are one of us." The doctor informed which unfortunately caused Susan to lower her head.

"Doctor, I have a question based on what I've been told about smart brains and the advancements they have made in this world; is there any chance they could find a way to send me back home?" Susan asked as she looked at the doctor with hopeful eyes the doctor let out a sigh of disappointment.

"I'm sorry Ms Smith none of our scientists at our company are not currently working on interdimensional travels most of them say that the current level we are at technological wise and the science here it seems almost impossible to do at this point." upon hearing the news Susan lower her head and disappointment doctor place his hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, don't worry while you can't go home; we can at least help you make your stay here pleasant. Here at Smart brain, we are committed to helping our fellow Orphnochs by providing them with jobs, housing, and support." The doctor said with hopeful tone and optimism everything now faded to Black once again.

Next, we see Rey in another hallway surrounded by lots of doors. He notices another door opening and heads inside. As he enters, he realizes the space is very large and spacious; it appears to be an apartment complex, complete with all the essentials one would need to live comfortably. He continues to explore, eventually spotting Susan sitting on a couch. He glances over to see what she's reading.

"Orphnochs come into existence in two ways; either through death or by siring other humans according to this paper sired humans are weaker than the originals." Susan spoke in a intrigue manner and continue reading.

"It says here the best types of Orphnochs for the job of siring humans are either poisonous plants plants, insects, reptiles, marine life including some arachnid and multi-pod Orphnochs."

Susan says out loud but she places the paper down and begins to ponder and think she gets up from her sofa and heads for her bedroom Rey follows and her bedroom she stares herself at a mirror then transforms into her puffball fungus form.

"I wonder if I'm considered in poisonous category as well?" Susan asks as this memory fades to Black.

The next area he appeared on was a well-built two-story brick house. The front door was open, so he proceeded to enter. As he did, he heard screaming and yelling coming from the upstairs. Quickly, he rushed to see what it was. Standing in front of him were Susan and a man holding a shotgun and a woman holding a simple bat above them are standing guard at a single door behind them.

"Stay out of my way if you know what's good for you." Susan spoke in a cold monotonic voice.

"S-s-s stay back we will not let you near her Monster!" The man shouted as he unloaded every round that his shotgun held, but their efforts had little to no effect on Susan; she was already feeling a little bit annoyed, she dashed forward and pierced both of hands into these two in an instant they turn to ash.

With her obstacles out of the way, she smashed through the door. Behind it was a room that belonged to a little girl. The little girl in question was hiding behind blankets, trembling in fear. The sight of Susan made her even more frightened.

Susan's demeanor softened upon seeing the little girl; she slowly reached out to her, while not noticing that the little girl was trembling next to her and started gently stroking her hair.

"What's wrong sweetie you look like you seen a ghost?" Susan spoke in a soothing, motherly tone as the little girl backed away from the bed, still wrapped in blankets. Susan got up and knelt down beside the girl, who tried to run away but Susan gently stop her from running.

"Now, now, don't be afraid; I won't hurt you. Let me take a look at you." Susan spoke gently as she removed the blankets from the little girl on looking at her Rey was shocked on how similar this little girl looked to Lucy Susan cast and started a stroke the little girl's face.

"You look exactly like my little Raven; you have the same eyes and hair as her. You are perfect to be my new Maria."

Happily, Susan stood up and released spores from her body, directing them at the little girl who was still gripped by fear. The little girl unintentionally inhaled the spores; the result was that she started coughing uncontrollably. Seeing this, it was heart-wrenching for Rey to look at. He looked away shut his eyes. Even covering his ears, he tried to drown out the sound of the coughing. The coughing had ceased. He looked back to see the little girl laying flat on the floor then she disintegrated into ash Rey gasp in horror in failed to his knees at the site what he saw.

Susan gasped in what was she has seen and done kneeling on the ground sobbing then hitting her fist on the angrily then this memory to faded into black.

We see Rey still kneeling on the ground it took a little while for him to regain his composer but he stood up he looked around and see that where he's standing he is standing on a large concrete like platform does he look around he sees nothing but an empty void that leads nowhere.

"Have I reached the end? Or is there more to see?" Rey questions as he stares into the void.

"I hope this is the end. Even though what I saw was just a memory, it was still…heart-wrenching to see that. I don't like seeing kids or anyone get hurt or killed; seeing that happen in front of you hits differently than on TV. It really tells me I wasn't prepared." Rey said somebody has he looks up a single tear starts rolling down his face he still couldn't get over what he saw seeing that little girl made him remember his little cousins and More tears starts to roll down upon thinking about them.

"I really wish I could know if this is the end or not."

"I can answer that for you." A familiar voice caught his attention, breaking him out of his state of sadness, and a large puff of smoke appeared, revealing none other than Claire, smiling at him warmly.

"What are you doing here, Claire?" Rey stated a very baffled confused tone seeing his ally in this place.

"I will tell you but first to avoid showing you more tragedy and potentially causing you to question your role or job, I will provide you with a summary of events. After her first victim, Susan Smith continued to do this in four different states, targeting any girls who bore a resemblance to her daughter. Unfortunately, these attempts also failed." Claire informed.

"I appreciate the info dump, Claire, but I'll be honest with you; I'm still a little bit heartbroken to hear that more children have suffered because of her actions." Rey said in a sad and depressed tone seeing him in this state hurt her Claire wasted no time to hug Rey hopefully to give him some emotional comfort.

Rey felt a little better as he hugged her back, then he slowly broke away and looked at her with a curious expression.

"So anyways what are you doing here Claire?" Rey asked.

"I sense that my little secret gift to you was activated so I came here to see if it was working properly."

"Secret gift?" He said confused.

"More explanation is in order; when you informed me what happened between you and a couple of Orphnochs named Mike and Rick, I could tell that you were really bothered by the fact that they didn't tell you when you wanted to know. So, while you were sleeping, I blessed you with a hidden power that was based on the memory echoes from Code Vein. To activate this power, you must make physical contact with your enemy when they're on the verge of death and I got to be honest with you I didn't expect you to have to be this power still soon." Claire says yet again in her usual Happy cheerful tone Rey replies with a facepalm to the face.

"Of course, while I do appreciate the power you're giving me, Claire, I don't think it was really necessary. Personally, I'm already over that whole thing with Mike and Rick." Rey said annoyingly.

"Good to know, but before we move on, I have to ask you something after seeing Susan's memories, how do you feel about her? Do you feel any kind of emotion, be it sadness, guilt or even hatred for things that she has done and I told you?" Claire ask curiously Ray said nothing as he begins to contemplate everything that he has witnessed from this woman's memories after a moment of thinking he looks at Susan with some confliction.

"I feel terrible for what happened to her; she lost her husband and daughter, and in the process, she became an Orphnoch. I can't imagine what she went through during that difficult time. She wound up in this world alone, with no support." Rey said in a sympathetic tone as he let out some tears from his eyes; however, that sympathetic look was soon replaced with a more anger disgust disappointment look.

"Upon learning of her abilities, I don't know the details as to how she found her first victim; however, I can say she didn't waste any time in using them. She murdered the girl's parents without hesitation, then used her powers to convert the little girl into an Orphnoch. Unfortunately, she did not stop there. Thanks to the information you provided, she continued her rampage across many different states, taking away countless lives all due to her own grief." Rey growled as he tightened his fist violently, but he didn't immediately calm himself down and regain his composure.

"But I will be honest with you, Claire. I feel two things - one, I feel sympathy for Susan because losing her husband and child is a pain that is never easily healed. On the other hand, I feel anger, disappointment, disgust, and all of the emotions I have witnessed her commit and for what you have told me." Rey continued then gasp at a certain realization that just hit him.

"Grief can make you do complicated, crazy things, and when I saw what she was doing right then, it was the first time I'd ever seen grief make someone do something so desperate. And when I thought about it later, I realized she had been planning to do the same thing to Lucy." Ray said as he covered his mouth and what he just the thought of Lucy to being transformed into an Orphnoch horrify him.

"To end this conversation about how I feel about Susan, simply put, I feel sympathy for her because of what she's been through, but I will not excuse her for the lives she has taken as a result of her grief; she was just a woman who wanted her child back, and nothing more than that and since I'm seeing her memories I can assume that she's already on the verge of passing and I hope at least I brought her some from a piece from her madness." Rey said right it's clear about to say something Ray begins to Pace back and forth Claire immediately could tell that he's deep in thought.

"There is one thing that does raise a question though involving Susan I saw her name tag and it had the logos of smart brain which is very weird smart brain has no business facilities here in Royal woods due to being a small town and the nearest corporal branch of smart brain is in Detroit. I have a gut feeling that this woman was brought here because I highly doubt anyone at the Detroit company what a waste their time in this small town without a reason not to mention from what I can tell she go after girls that bear a striking resemblance to Lucy all because of Maria." Rey spoke out loud at as he continuous pacing back and forth.

"My next question is, how did she find Lucy, and how would she know she would be at the cemetery tonight for a nightly stroll? According to the memory I first saw, she would usually corner or talk to them softly to ease their fears, but when I saw her looming over Lucy, she didn't do those things, which is very perplexing." Rey continued as he come to a stop.

"Then there's the issue that she mentioned my name which is very concerning you know instead of asking all these questions I may as well look for them since I'm already hearing this place." Rey in a indifferent tone and look directly at Claire.

"it's been nice seeing you again Claire you can head back where you were I'm going to stick around here for a little bit longer to I have to see the last of her memories to get answers that I need about Lucy and the knowledge on how she knows about me." Rey said.

"Well, I'm not doing anything right now; So why don't I help you speed up the process and show you all her remaining memories with a simple snap of my finger." Claire snapped her fingers as she smile confidently. In an instant two screens appeared in front of them the first screen is showed an image of Susan at the cafe and another showing her talking to a hooded figure.

"What did you just do?" Rey said in a bewilder tone as he looks at the two screens in front of him.

"Well, I know that you are in a hurry and you want to get home with Lucy; to make things short I can manipulate and control the memories of other people one of my useful abilities but I don't use it very much cuz I don't feel right in doing that to anyone, so I decided to use my Powers this one time make things easier for you and decided to condense Susan's memories into a video-like screen. This way, it's much better than us walking down literal memory lane." Claire stated in a humorous tone but Ray roll his eyes feeling unamused with that little joke she just made he didn't focus his attention on the first screen in front of him.

"Good to know. So, what do I need to do to get this memory started?" Rey as as he inspects the memory in front of him.

"Touch it and see what happens." Claire says with a cheeky smile Rey shrugging shoulders and did what he's told and places his finger on the memory and an instant the memory glowed as did his eyes Rey gasp as he released his finger from the memory.

"So what did you see?" Claire asked curiously.

"I saw her in a cafe drinking some coffee made by a guy named Joseph. She was done with the coffee and headed for home. Ashley was walking home when a strange hooded man appeared in front of her. Somehow, he knew about Susan's escapades and threatened to kill her for her actions and past sins. To my surprise, he turned out to be an arms dorpan. I thought they were only Orphnochs and fangres in this world!" Rey was astonished and what he discovered, but he quickly calmed himself down and continued on with his recollection of what he had seen.

"Anyways, the arms dorpan had the upper hand against Susan; I dare say that he may be stronger than me, anyway, as he was about to finish her off when he was struck by an energy projectile that knocked him out cold. Next, I saw a strange, hooded figure standing in front of Susan, offering her his helping hand. The next thing I knew, the figure disappeared into a portal he created, and that's where everything ended." Rey explained as he directed his attendant to the next memory without hesitating he immediately touched it the same process happen again this time he looked annoyed upset.

"What else did you see in the other memory?" Claire asks curiously

"Susan found herself in a strange cave-like area. The only thing she saw was a throne, and the person who saved her called himself N.V. Apparently, he has been watching her for quite some time, knowing all of her escapades including her past. He even revealed that he was the one who sent the dorpan after her. Oh, and by the way, I discovered his last name is Kobayashi." Rey explains as he returned to continue retelling.

"Anyways, the reason he sent her out there was just to get her attention and use her. It's also an interesting little fact he seems to know about me being from another world and me being Decade. He probably knows something about you too because they also revealed that he's been spying on me for some time and he decided to use Susan's desperation to revive her daughter to lure me out. He promised to help Susan in her desire to bring back her daughter, and apparently if she somehow defeats me, they'll use Lucy as a catalyst to revive Maria. Personally, I think he's lying reviving Mari. Anyways, she accepted his deal and headed to find me or Lucy. She discovered that his portals are random, so I'd like to believe that she just coincidentally appeared while Lucy was doing her nightly strolls. After that everything just repeat itself from our previous encounters and battles." Rey finished Claire remains silent and speechless that this N.V was spying on her champion and question how long has he been spying on Rey and how much does he know then it occurred to her on some of the enemies that her Rider has fought that could have been him towing playing with him testing him whatever the case this is something that cannot be ignored.

"This is very alarming, Rey. I have no doubt that this N.V. could be the enemy I warned you about, and he has been watching you for some time. He may know everything, and he also manipulated and used a grieving woman as his puppet and I also have a gut feeling that he's the one that sent those ghoul at the school and send Soma your way including Rick and Mike to test you or mess with you." Claire said worryingly.

"Yeah, I understand your point of view, but for right now, forgive me for bringing this up, but I'm going to let him do what he wants for now. Before you ask me why, it would be too dangerous for him to know that we already are on to him. So, for now, let's just play dumb and just see where this goes." Rey said in an indifferent tone.

"If you say now that we know that our enemy is spying on us, we need to find a more convenient way to communicate without him listening in so much," Claire said, shivering.

"I feel very violated that someone was being nosy around us feel dirty to the point I need a shower." Claire said as a large two-sided door appeared in front of them and opens up.

"Well that's the exit I'll talk to you later Claire." Rey says as he waves goodbye and heads to the door as he steps through and is overwhelmed by a large blinding light.

As the lights slowly begin to fade he started he heard a voices that were muffled but they soon it became clear who it was that was calling him.

"Hey boss, are you okay?" As he opened his eyes hastily, standing in front of him is Onibi, with him is Meni holding Lucy in her arms with all his Pokemon out of there pokeballs, looking very worried and concerned we noticed that he's wearing his helmet again as well standing in the same position when he grabbed Susan's arm.

"Yeah I'm fine." He answered he relax himself and inspected surroundings and he finds only them he noticed Susan is gone.

"How long was I out and where's Susan?" Decade asked concerningly.

"You've been gone for about two minutes, and if you're referring to the Orphnoch, we don't know sir." Ryūsei answered.

"Yeah, one moment she tried to attack you desperately. She look like she was ready to swing at you before she kicked the bucket. You stopped her then we saw a blinding light and it engulfed both of you. Then things went blank on our end. We waited for a minute before we could get out. And when we did, we saw that Onibi and Meni with Miss spooky already here." Kestrel informed wow noticed she was getting some glares from her trainer and her other fellow Pokemon, mostly from Onibi and Meni for the tone she referred Lucy.

"Onibi was sending guard at the house over there." Meni pointed at the direction where they were at.

"While he was guarding the door through a window we saw a blinding light shining through them concerned he was the first to step out and he saw you frozen standing concern he informed me and we headed out to see if you were right then that's when the rest of them came out." Meni informed.

"Wow, I was out for two minutes, but it felt much longer where I was oh well sometimes when you're in literal thought time moves faster than appears to be in reality." Decade said which got his Pokemon intention, but before any of them can ask their trainer Kaori step up first to get his attention.

"Before anyone asks or asks what you're talking about, I have to ask what's that in your hand you're holding, Rey dear?" Kaori asked while saying his name which confused Decade.

"What are you talking about Kaori? and also please refrain from using my real name while I'm in uniform." Decades stated neutrally.

"Oh my apologies, dear. Slip of the tongue. I'm talking about that strange-looking item that's in your left hand." Kaori pointed at which got his attention as he opened his left hand; he was surprised to see the item in question - a light blue stone that bore resemblance to a tear drop. On top of it, there were some white stones that looked like granite, and on the bottom as well. And in the middle of it, there was an intricate pattern that resembled Susan.

Upon looking at it closer, an idea popped into his head, and a realization came to him; Susan's body was nowhere to be found after Orphnoch was defeated, so the remains became Ash, and there was no Ash left standing anywhere.

'It can't be...is this?' There was a pause in his thoughts as he began to think.

"Hey decade is everything all right?" But he quickly stepped out of it when he heard Edgar's voice.

"I might have an idea what this is, but before I say or do anything that may sound ridiculous, I'm going to call Claire once we're back at the house." Decade says while directing his attention towards Kaori.

"Can you hold on to this for me until we get back to the house?" He asked as he handed the item to her nods her head takes it and puts it in her satchel.

"Hey boss, I don't want to sound rude or disrespectful or like I'm in a hurry, Edward diner can we please go home I really don't like cemeteries they creep me out!" Onibi exclaimed Edgar looks at him with a look of bewilderment.

"Really? You're still afraid of cemeteries! You're part ghost; how can you be afraid of them? Your in your element you should thrive here."

"I already had this talk with him already Edgar no need to bring it up." Meni chimed in.

"Like I told Meni before I can't help it all right just because I'm part Ghost type that doesn't mean I'm automatically okay with this!" Onibi explain as it begins to shiver at the site of the cemetery.

"All right, guys, go easy on him; just because he's part ghost doesn't mean he finds comfort in this environment. Even when we change, we still have our fears." Decade says as he pets Onibi to relax him then he takes out five of his six pokéballs and pointed at them.

"Anyways let's call it a night everyone now return." he said as he called finest poem on back of their pokéballs only one out of the pokeball is Meni who is still holding Lucy right as she's about to hand her over to her master he stops her.

"Hold on a moment, Meni. I need to fix the cemetery. The battle I had with Susan wasn't that big or anything, but I'm going to fix it up a little bit as my way of saying I'm sorry for trespassing. The dead should not be disturbed by the problems of the living." Decade stated as he pulled out two cards from his right Booker and insert them into his driver.

SPECIAL RIDE: MAGIC STICK

RESTORE

A silver black M-shaped stick with an emblem of a phoenix on top appeared in his hand. As he held it, it began to glow and point up into the sky. The tombstones were covered in a brilliant red glow. Instantly, the tombstones looked brand new, as if nothing had ever happened. Even the areas that were caught in his fight with Susan were repaired, and then the magic stick item disappeared.

"Impressive always master." Meni says that she moves towards her master then she glances at Lucy and smiles.

"You know, despite how Lucy appears sometimes, I can't help but admit how adorable she is right now. The way she's sleeping remind me of how you sleep sometimes." Meni said as she points one of her fingers on her neck she let out a sigh of relief when she felt a pulse and hands her over to her master.

"I appreciate you and Onibi for looking out for her." Decades said in a appreciative tone as he takes her in his arms then he glanced at Lucy.

'I'm glad you're okay Lucy.' Decade said when there's thoughts as he pulled out Meni pokebal without saying a word she nodded and went back in her pokeball decade put her pull up back or what then he pulled out a card then insert it into his driver.

FORM RIDE: OOO LATORARTAR

(Roar) LA-TAH LA-TAH, LA TORA~~TAR!"

Three yellow rings emerged from his driver they combined together and formed one of his Rider forms now transform as the speedy combo Latoratar he bolted out of cemetery as fast as he could to return home with Lucy in his arms.

As he left a portal appeared in the cemetery out with it came N.V laughing gleefully.

"Well, that was a bit amusing. It was nice seeing my adversary getting beaten up like that. Even though his form was centered around both attack and defense, it didn't matter; it was still fun to see him get thrashed. And who knew he had a bit of a sadistic side to him?" V.N chuckled again.

"It was a shame that Susan lost to him, but at the same time I'm grateful that Rey did away with her. If she had won, that would have been awkward, but it worked out all in the end." he said that he comedically shrugged his shoulders then begins to walk around the cemetery.

"There was something that I did find interesting throughout this battle well my adversary remains skeptical about the fate of his monster of the week I know what really happened."

N.V said as he stopped walking and pulled out his phone showing a video of Susan's last moments. The screen flickered for a moment and then came back on showing that Susan had been surrounded by a brilliant blue light before instantly transforming into the stone that Decade was holding in his hand.

"I have to admit, this kid keeps surprising me; who would have thought he could transform other Orphnochs into those stones? I wonder how it works. I wonder if it also works for those Life Suckers as well. Time will tell. I'm sure that lady friend of his will inform him about that." N.V stated as he hovered up and floated in the air.

"But anyways, I'll add this to the interesting bits of juicy Intel when the time is right. Right now, I think I'll take a break and look for other pawns to use in my game. Like usual I'll leave one of my fly drone in the house to record some juicy stuff while we're at it." N.V says as a portal emerges in front of him, indicating he can walk through. He looks back to where Decade was headed.

'Enjoy your little moment of relaxation, for my game has yet to begin, and I look forward to seeing how you will emerge when the monsters are all against you in their world.' He says sadistically as he entered the portal.

Back of the Loud house

We see Rey in the kitchen cutting up some blood oranges moments ago; as he arrives back at the Loud house in his civilian form, everyone in the house were questioning Rey when they saw him holding Lucy protectively. He then came up with the excuse that he went with Lucy on her nightly walks because he didn't feel comfortable wandering off on his own at late at night, so he volunteered to walk with her. As they were walking around, she suddenly felt tired and he carried her home. The story was easily bought by everyone in the house.

once done cutting out the blood oranges you use the sun to send a message too Claire the message telling her about the stone that was in his hand it didn't take long for the reply on the phone it reads.

=That's normal when you touch either an Orphan or Fangres; they will transform into the stone form. By the way, I based them off the Blood Beads from Code Vein, probably should have told you that when we were in her memories. Sorry about that, Rey anyways you can call those beads memory beads.=

Rey simply rolled his eyes at Claire's forgetfulness, but then suddenly another message appeared.

=Oh! Good heavens, I almost forgot...don't forget to check your backpack; I left something special for you in there. And with that said and done, enjoy the rest of your evening. Good night!=

'Huh I wonder what she left for me this time?' Rey questions in curiosity when all of a sudden.

"Hey Rey." He let out a Yelp he quickly around the sea it was Lucy smirking confidently and what she accomplished.

"Finally got you." Lucy said feeling a sense and achievement.

"Oh, it's you, Lucy," Rey said in an annoyed tone. "I didn't think you would scare me like that." His expression soon changed to a smile as he laughed lightly, kneeling down and petting her on the head.

"Good job, kiddo," Ray said proudly causing Lucy to blush a little bit; she didn't expect this reaction from him.

"Anyways, what brings you back into the kitchen, kiddo?" Rey asked.

"Lynn told me that you walk with me on my strolls she also told me that I felt tired so you brought me home when I was sleeping." Lucy answered he had a feeling that Lucy will want answers what really happened.

"Skipping The dramatics you want to know exactly what really happened while on your nightly strolls and why I lied that I walked with you." Rey said bluntly knowing fully aware how perceptive Lucy is.

"Before I say anything kiddo, I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you remember anything from your nightly strolls?" Rey asked as he got up.

"I remember just walking to my destination at the cemetery when I arrived there; I felt a sinking sensation and then everything went black. Next thing I knew, I was waking up in my bed. That's all." Lucy answered.

"All right, I'll tell you my side. I'll be honest with you, Lucy. I told you this already, but I'll repeat it. I know you can take care of yourself; no problem. but I'm not a big fan of letting a young girl like yourself walk alone at night didn't feel right to me, and I had a weird bad gut feeling that something bad was going to happen to you so I followed you from a distance. When I got there, you were unconscious. I don't know what happened, so I brought you home. I hope you're not too mad at me for that." Rey answered leaving out some details that happen to her and him at the cemetery want to keep those incidents to himself, Lucy on the other hand felt a little bit conflicted to feel right now on one hand she feels grateful that Ray was concerned about her on the other hand fellow Illinois that he was following her.

"I'm not sure but I do feel grateful that you worried about me and I'm also glad you brought me home safely so thank you Rey." Lucy said.

"No problem. Also, I hope you don't mind, but I prepared some blood oranges for you; do you find that acceptable?" Rey went to retrieve the blood oranges he caught up and hands them over to her.

"I appreciate it thank you." Lucy said that she accepted them.

"It's no problem now wrong and enjoy your snack I'll be in the kitchen to do a little cleanup." Rey said as he heads to the thing and start cleaning up the knives that he used to cut the oranges.

"Hey, why didn't you warn me that Lucy was coming?" Rey asked in an annoyed tone.

'Just feel like letting her have her way this time master, after the night she's been through and you had besides; I want to see how you react when she sneaks up behind you.' Meni set in a cheeky tone which caught all the Pokemon by surprise they didn't expect her to have a bit of mischievous side.

'Wow! I didn't expect the well-mannered formal speaking Meni to have a bit of a mischievous side.' Edgar said in a surprised tone.

'That makes two of us, Edgar. Who would have guessed that Prissy Meni had a bit of a fun side to her? She should be like this more often.' Kestrel says with a hint of intriguement.

'Don't even think about you two just because I act a bit more polite proper respectful and manually towards our master and certain individuals, that doesn't mean I can't have fun and act out my character every now and then, so don't get used to it.' Meni stated in a more polite but aggressive tone.

'And there she goes being a stick in the mud again.' Kestrel complained Rey simply rolled his eyes and went back to doing some knife cleaning.

Later that night when everyone was asleep, we find Rey in the living room, opening one of the pockets in his backpack. As Claire had instructed him, he found a strange-looking dial. On it, he saw the image of the memory bead, along with a note and begins to read it.

Dear Ray, I have left you with a special dial for you to use. It has one room available for you to use for now. If you should encounter any Orphnochs or Fangres, and if you turn them into memory beads, please place the dial on any door and it will transport you to a special storage room where you can house them. That's all for now. Sincerely, Claire.

Upon finishing the note, this piqued Rey's interest; he got up and decided to test it. The first door he headed to was the basement. Upon looking at the door, she placed the dial on it and saw that it stuck. Rey decided to open it. Upon opening it, it led to a large, spacious room surrounded by many shelves.

"Oh cool, I'm getting serious Nyaruko-san flashbacks from this." Rey said as he was amazed by the gift Claire had given him. A moment later, he pulled out the Kaori pokeball and threw it, instantly causing Kaori to emerge. She looked around, clearly confused about her surroundings.

"Hello, Rey. I feel something strange about this room; where are we?" Kaori asked.

"It's a dimensional space, courtesy of Claire. She gave me a special dial that allows me access to a room like this. Which is perfect; if I'm going to store some memory beads here. Speaking of which, can I have that memory beads that's in your possession, please?" Rey asks politely as she takes out the memory bead and hands it over to her trainer.

"Thank you, Kaori," Rey thank her then he turned towards his left and headed towards the shelf that was there. Then he placed the bead on it before bowing his head and closing his eyes. He put his hands together in a prayer-like motion Kaori then follows her trainer and mimics what he does then Rey begins to speak within his thoughts.

'To those lost to the madness of grief, grief can drive anyone mad or insane. Only through death does the grief of madness end. To those who suffer, I pray for mercy. As for you, your now in the hands of the god. May he shower you with his mercy and salvation upon you. And I pray that He guides you to find peace and reunite you with your loved ones.' Upon finishing his thoughts he opened them and looked at the bead in front of him and spoke up.

"I am sorry for your loss, Susan. You have my sympathy; I can't imagine what you've been through – losing your husband and daughter must have been a very painful experience. However, that doesn't excuse the actions you committed while living in this world. You took the lives of young girls, which is almost unexcusable. But I don't blame you; if I were in your position, I probably would have acted similarly. Nonetheless, I don't wish to hate you or hold onto this hatred. I hope that you may find peace somewhere in heaven. If there is a heaven or God in this world, then I hope he grants you mercy and forgiveness. I hope you are reunited with your daughter and husband. Rest in peace; your torment and nightmare are over, and may you find peace." As he said his peace Rey looks at her bead gives her a solemn bow as did Kaori.

"I'm still having a hard time believing that your enemy's essence is inside that Jewel; it's pretty surreal," Kaori said as she shook her head in disbelief. "Claire gave you a power that turns her into that."

"Yeah, tell me about it. It's getting late, and I don't want to be late for school in the morning. Why don't you get some sleep yourself, Kaori?" Rey said as he took her pokéball. A simple nod from the her she immediately went back in her pokeball. With that done he headed outside the door. Once outside the room, he removed the dial from the door, then he headed back into the living room put the dial in his backpack then he grab some blankets fluff his pillow then drifted off to sleep.

There you go, all done! I have to admit this is the longest chapter I ever wrote. Now onto some details I have seen the new Orphnoch designs, and I will use them, but don't expect it to be soon. I have also seen the new Next Driver designs for Paradise Regained; they look pretty promising and interesting. Since I have an idea of how they work, I can probably use them in my certain chapters and future work I have in mind. I'm not going to say what it is, but don't expect to see it soon.

I will say that I already have planned out three big story arcs that will come into play one day; you'll just have to wait and see.

And also I like to think Revicer for suggesting interesting ideas for Orphnochs to be used the story and I will keep in mind so I appreciate it thank you.

Anyways to finish this off I hope everyone will find this chapter acceptable I try to do something different but I'm not sure it worked out or not don't be afraid of comment if you see anything wrong with this.
