Chapter Two-hundred and fifty-seven: Wake the wise wolves, part one

The Gigantimaxed Centiscorch was rampaging all around after it had been empowered to go kaiju-sized. It was about to use an attack aimed to wreck a building, but it got cut off when a stream of Power Gem struck it along its side, making it cry out in pain before it fell over in defeat, luckily avoiding hitting any buildings. A few persons who saw the Gigantimaxed Centiscorch rampage saw it as the reborn trainers, plus Ash and Goh, came flying on in. Dawn called for her named Palkia Tsukune to ready another Power Gem attack in case the Gigantimax Centiscorch tried getting back up.

Luckily for them, the Gigantimax came undone and the Centiscorch returned to normal. As the heroes landed, As a father and his young daughter rushed to the Centiscorch that had regained its sense of self, the heroes saw it as Leon the Galar Champion and current Monarch of the World Coronation Series came flying in on his Charizard, landing near the heroes. "I take it that you guys had dealt with the Gigantimax Pokémon that was rampaging in this area?" Leon asked.

"What I would like to know is what a Gigantimaxed Pokémon is doing outside of the Wild Area or a Galar stadium," Dawn replied.

Ash nodded in agreement. "Dawn's right. We need to look into this and figure out what's going on."

Leon saw the glint of determination in the eyes of all of the heroes. "...Very well, I could use the backup. Anyway, we ought to-"

Leon was cut off when Sonia came pulling up onto the scene in her vehicle. "Leon!" Sonia said, "Did you see how there's Dynamax energy falling all over and around Galar?"

"That would explain Dynamax and Gigantimax Pokémon appearing outside of the Wild Area and Galar stadiums," Leon said.

"I'm about to head to Turffield," Sonia said, "See the Turffield Geoglyph. It's gotta be connected to this somehow, it could give us a hint to figure out what's happening!"

Looking to the heroes, Leon said, "Ash, Dawn, Dawn's brother, you three come with me. Kenny, Ash's Friend, Kenny's girlfriend, you three go with Sonia."

"You either didn't learn our names or forgot them," Mina muttered dryly under her breath as, nonetheless, the heroes went off in the groups as indicated by Leon, seeing Kenny' group recall their Pokémon and hop into Sonia's vehicle while Dawn, Trip, Ash, and Leon got back onto Tsukune, Deelia, Dragonite, and Charizard before flying up and going about tracking down their next target.

Over in Turffield, Sonia and her group came to see the Turffield Geoglyph. "So how does this big drawing in the ground connect to the legends of the Galar region?" Goh asked as he and the others looked at the Turffield Geoglyph.

"Oh well I'm glad one of you asked that," Sonia began, "For you see THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, an event known as the Darkest Day darkened the Galar region with a large black swirling vortex. A hero wielding a sword and a shield managed to quell the darkness and save the land. But a similar darkness is now threatening the Galar region of today, for the conditions faced so very long ago align with what we are seeing in the here and now."

Goh wore a look of consideration on his face. "...This may sound crazy," Goh began, "But I have reason to believe the figure behind the Darkest Day might be an incredibly powerful Pokémon."

...

Meanwhile over at the Energy Plant, Rose and Oleana sat cross-legged and hogtied on the floor as a few Team Scorn members stood around in the room, with a few grunts were constantly injecting Galar Particles at the core of the Energy Plant. Supervising the Team Scorn grunts was Boss's Assistant Ayane, still using her new unique Team Scorn outfit that gave off fantasy mage vibes. She was accompanied by a Team Scorn Captain and the Captain's Assistant of said Captain.

The Captain was a fair skinned girl with dark reddish-orange hair worn under a yellow had with dark blue trim and dark blue cloth straps hanging down from the hat along the sides of the girl's face. She wore a yellow shirt with dark blue lines going over the tops of the sleeves from the shirt's collar, a dark blue wristband on her right wrist, dark blue pants, and yellow shoes with dark blue soles and highlights. The Team Scorn insignia was worn as a patch, dark blue with a yellow Team Scorn 'S', on the girl's shirt over her left breast area.

The Captain's Assistant was a slightly younger fair skinned girl with brownish hair, and she wore the standard Team Scorn grunt outfit. As Ayane and the Captain watched on, Rose cried out at them, "This is madness! You girls are going too far!"

Ayane and those with her turned to look at Rose and Oleana. "Were you yourself not doing what my people and I are doing now? You guys had done well with your efforts to awaken that Eternatus Pokémon, it'll save Team Scorn a lot of time and effort in our bids to research the legend of Galar's legendary Pokémon."

"But you're injecting way too much Galar Particles!" Rose screamed.

Shrugging indifferently, Ayane said, "The more we inject and quicker we do so, the sooner Eternatus will awaken."

The Captain with Ayane, who was putting away a phone, turned to Ayane. "Ma'am, I just got word from Captain Yuu and her Captain's Assistant Yoko that some of Dawn Berlitz's companions were seen near the Turffield Geoglyph, and that Dawn Berlitz herself along with two more of her companions are reported to be accompanying Galar Champion Leon around Galar to deal with all of the Dynamax and Gigantimax Pokémon that are popping up."

Ayane scoffed a bit in bitter annoyance. "Figures that the girl who took Reshiram from me would be involved in trying to stop things here. Well there's no need to worry about Dawn Berlitz and her companions." Smirking in dark amusement, Ayane went on, "By the time we're through here, we'll be boasting power that will make even her take pause."

As Sonia and Kenny's group continued on their way, they discussed the legend of the Darkest Day. "So yeah, evidence uncovered in recent events suggest that there are two heroes in the legend of the Darkest Day," Sonia said, "Rather than one unlike what the statue that was in the lobby of that hotel in Motostoke would imply."

"Yeah, the statue was there until Team Scorn stole it," Mina scowled.

"Two heroes, huh?" Goh remarked.

Sonia handed a pad to Goh that had pictures of the tapestries stolen from the Hammerlocke Vaults pulled up. "...Yeah, I can see from these how there were two heroes," Goh went on, "One with a sword and one with a shield."

"Methinks that this may lead to some of what Cynthia had uncovered with her research," Kenny remarked.

Sonia perked up at that notion. "Oh yeah, I did hear that former Sinnoh Champion Cynthia is also researching the mythologies of various regions. What did she find on the legend of the Darkest Day here in Galar?"

...

After Dawn's group and Leon took down a Gigantimax Coalossal near the Energy Plant, Ash let out a breath. "Wow, that makes how many we've taken down now?"

"At least all of the fighting is making for good battle experience," Trip remarked, "But we ought to-"

"Ah, Leon! I'm glad to see that you're helping to save Galar!"

Trip was cut off when he and the others heard the familiar voice of Rose speak up. Turning to look, Dawn, Trip, Ash, and Leon all saw it as Rose came walking up to greet them.

"Ah, Chairman Rose," Leon greeted, "I don't suppose you have any idea what's going on with so many wild Pokémon going Dynamax and Gigantamax all over Galar, do you?"

"And where's Oleana?" Trip asked, "Ain't she usually with you?"

"She ate something funny and had to go download a serious brownload," Rose explained, "And to answer Leon's question I have no clue, I'm just as stumped as he is." Clapping his hands together, Rose said, "Anyway, with so many notable trainers in the current season of the World Coronation Series here, one of them being the current Monarch no less, I say that a commemorative dinner is in order."

Right away, Dawn and Trip knew something was up, partly thanks to knowledge of the anime from their past life. But Ash and Leon agreed, although the look in Leon's eyes told Dawn he was planning to look into things still. Dawn could tell there was more going on, she sort of knew something else was going on. Especially so as Oleana who should have been with Rose at this moment is a no show here.

Little did Dawn and the others know that the Captain with Ayane was having Rose act cool and natural to not let Dawn's group know that there's Team Scorn presence nearby. The Captain was even having her Captain's Assistant threaten Oleana, holding to the woman's neck a bowie knife that, with all due respect, is rather large for a girl the age of the Captain's Assistant to be having any business using.

Kenny's group and Sonia arrived at Professor Magnolia's Lab in Wedgehurst by the evening. "Okay, we need to come up with a game plan to tackle what all sinister shenanigans is going on here in Galar right now," Kenny said, his tone and expression serious.

Goh nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I wanna stop this chaos too! I wanna stop it as much as I wanna find Mew and make it my partner!"

"Oh, umm, about that," Mina began, "You see-"

*CRASH*

Mina was cut off when she and the others heard a loud crashing noise, making all of them rush on over to see what in blazes was going on. To their surprise, a Wishing Star was in a freshly formed crater. "Oh great!" Kenny said, "Now the sky is falling with the aim to kill us!"

"Ooh, that's a Wishing Star," Sonia spoke up as she identified the Wishing Star in the crater.

"Wishing Stars," Professor Magnolia spoke up as she had seemingly suddenly appeared behind everyone (startling Mina in the process), "Are said to appear only to those who have earnest dreams. Wishing Stars are a rich source of Galar Particles, which are the source of the Dynamax phenomenon. I had worked with Macro Cosmos to craft the Dynamax Bands so as to allow trainers to control Dynamaxing."

"There's dank shenanigans going on all over Galar involving Dynamaxing and Gigantimaxing," Kenny said, "With random Pokémon being stricken with the Dynamaxing stick and going berserk-o freak-o after getting swol. There's also talk of how what all is going on being connected to the legend of the Darkest Day."

Magnolia nodded in understanding. "Yes, the legend of the Darkest Day, of the sword and shield that united to stop it. I wonder what became of those heroes." Kenny's group ended up having to crash for the night at Magnolia's lab, during which time Sonia used the Wishing Star to craft a Dynamax Band for Goh.

...

Meanwhile over at Rose Tower, Dawn's group was treated to quite the meal by Rose, practically a feast that was made all the better as they got to enjoy it while looking out over the Wyndon skyline at the top of Rose Tower. "You know, I had been lifted out of poverty long ago," Rose commented, "Something I am grateful for. I plan to preserve the finest that Galar has to offer as part of the show of said gratitude."

"There's a lot for my friends and I to do to show gratitude for what all we got," Dawn remarked, keeping her guard up but not letting it show.

Nodding once, Rose went on, "I have to say, Dawn. You, as well as Ash and Trip here, all show a lot of promise in the current season of the World Coronation Series. I could pull some strings to help further the battling ambitions you all have."

"Sounds great," Ash said, "But I will ultimately wanna travel the world, see what all it has to offer."

"There's also how we don't exactly have the luxury to focus exclusively on personal interests right now," Dawn said, "There's still the ever-looming threat of Team Scorn out there, and they ought to be dealt with, finished for good, before we can focus on other things." Again, Dawn was wondering where Oleana was, as by this point she (Oleana) should have objected to Rose's offer having been turned down, even though Rose himself had calmly accepted the group's decision. They also ended up staying the night at Rose Tower, although Ash had first placed a call to Goh and learned that Goh as well as Kenny and Mina would be going to Stow-on-side with Sonia in the morning to see the ruins there.

The next day in Stow-on-side, Kenny's group and Sonia, after Kenny stopped short upon seeing Bea so he could tell her off for being a sore loser over her issue with Ash, reached the mural. As they made their way over to the mural, they reflected on what Magnolia had said about long ago breaking off her partnership with Rose due to sensing his ill-intentions. Magnolia said also that she had reason to believe the outbreak of Dynamaxed Pokémon is connected, but has yet to get physical proof of it. As such, Magnolia urged Sonia and the others to be quick in uncovering the truth.

All of that was on the minds of Kenny's group and Sonia as they stood in front of the mural. "There is a great power here, to be sure," Kenny said, "We must-"

"-Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

Kenny was cut off when he and the others heard someone speak up from behind them. Turning to look, Kenny, Goh, Mina, and Sonia saw it as they were confronted by four Team Scorn grunts, with a fifth grunt hanging back next to the uniquely dressed Team Scorn member who was with Ayane earlier while injecting Galar Particles into something. "We know the lady with the orange hair ain't a trainer," the Team Scorn Captain said, "Meaning we got you would-be heroes outnumbered two to one when it comes to battling."

Kenny, Mina, and Goh all took stances for battling. "And you are you?" Kenny demanded.

Gesturing to herself, the Team Scorn Captain said, "I figure you are at the very least owed the courtesy of getting our names. I'm Captain Ryoko, Second Captain of Team Scorn's Headphones Sector. The girl next to me is Misaki, my Captain's Assistant. Now then, are you would-be heroes going to surrender to my men here and I, or do we have to put you in your place the hard way?"

"To borrow some terminology from my girlfriend Mina here," Kenny began, "You guys can munch my butt! Okay, Zarbon! Let's make it cringe!"

"Go, Raboot!" Goh said as he sent his Raboot out.

Sending out a Pokémon herself, the now identified Ryoko said, "Go, Fletchinder!"

"Go, Lillipup!" Misaki called out as she sent out a Lillipup.

As the other Team Scorn grunts sent out Pokémon, Kenny said, "Mina, can you cover the peons?"

Nodding once, Mina said, "Got it!" Confronting the nameless Team Scorn grunts, Mina sent out her Dragonite and shiny Sylveon, having Sylveon shoot the enemy Pokémon with ranged attacks while Dragonite flew in and out while striking with physical attacks.

This allowed Kenny and Goh to focus on battling Ryoko and Misaki. Taking out Fletchinder and Lillipup was no issue for Goh's Raboot and Kenny's named Machamp, but when Ryoko sent out Talonflame and Misaki sent out Purrloin, the boys were surprised when Ryoko revealed she had a Dynamax Band and used it to Dynamax her Talonflame. "That mural is actually something of a Power Spot," Ryoko said, "Hence why I can-"

"-Face the wrath of moxie and cringe as I even the odds!" Kenny said, cutting Ryoko off by Dynamaxing Zarbon. However, something surged within Zarbon for one reason or another, resulting in seeing him not Dynamax, but Gigantimax. Regardless, after going kaiju-sized, the now Gigantimax named Machamp let out a bellowing cry of aroused, sensual pleasure. "Grr, it doesn't matter you can Gigantimax your Machamp, I still hold the type advantage!" Ryoko said as she scowled in bitter anger at Kenny, "Talonflame, use Max Airstream!"

"Zarbon, that Talonflame is about to deal you some long and hard punishment!" Kenny cried out.

Loosing another bellowing cry of aroused, sensual pleasure, the Gigantimaxed Zarbon turned around and twerked at the oncoming attack, the shaking of his good stuff sending part of the Max Airstream right into the mural, wrecking it and breaking away part of the cliff-side. When the rubble settled and dust cleared away, everyone saw it that, hidden behind the cliff wall that was broken away, were statues of two knights accompanied by Zacian and Zamazenta. "Talonflame, keep it up!" Ryoko called out.

"You too, Purrloin!" Misaki cried.

The battle against Team Scorn was still raging, but it was soon brought to an end when Kenny defeated Ryoko, Goh defeated Misaki, and Mina defeated all of the nameless Team Scorn grunts. Their efforts foiled, they were forced to flee. After Team Scorn was gone, Kenny's group all turned to look at the statues that were revealed due to Zarbon (who had returned to normal) having twerked. "This is very important," Sonia said, "We need to make a note of this right away. It could be a clue as to figuring out how to stop the Darkest Day."

"Are we..." Goh said, "...Are we just going to ignore how Kenny's Machamp shaking its butt had wrecked the Stow-on-side mural?"

The next day, Dawn's group left Wyndon to meet up with Kenny's group, but Ash was phoned by Goh that the meet up spot had been shifted to the Slumbering Weald, as they were planning to ask Zacian and Zamazenta for help due to conclusions drawn from how the statues in Stow-on-side were uncovered. There was also the fact that they had to fight off another group of Team Scorn members, and when Dawn and Trip heard that bit they both felt their hearts leap into their throats; Team Scorn was into trying to get one of the major legendary Pokémon of Galar, it would seem.

As Dawn's group was flying to meet with Kenny's group in the Slumbering Weald, Dawn and the boys saw several red beams of light shoot across the Galarian skies. When Ash's Rotom Phone revealed the source of the phenomena is over in Hammerlocke, Ash said, "Great, there's probably more Dynamaxed Pokémon rampaging over in Hammerlocke." To Dawn and Trip, Ash said, "Can you guys go on ahead to the slumbering Weald? I'm heading to Hammerlocke!"

"Just be careful, Ash," Dawn replied as Ash broke off from the group, flying away on Dragonite as Dawn and Trip flew away on Tsukune and Deelia. Trip had to call Kenny's group and tell them what happened, and Goh agreed it was a sound call as there was no predicting what could be going on right now, what with all of the chaos happening all around Galar and what not. Things were bad enough with Dynamax and Gigantimax Pokémon popping up all over the region and going on rampages, and Team Scorn throwing their hat into the ring in an apparent bid to capture a powerful legend.

...

Leon, as he spied on what was going on in a large room at the summit of a tower at the Energy Plant, was shocked to see a number of members of Team Scorn in the room, with a guilty and scared looking Rose standing nearby and Oleana hogtied and sitting on the floor. More Galar Particles were injected into the core, causing it to be overloaded and eventually bursting. When the dust settled, everyone in the room saw a large purple, bony-looking Pokémon having burst out from the core. Ayane, not wasting even a single moment, took out a Master Ball and chucked it at the Pokémon, capturing it before it even knew what was going on.

After walking over to collect the ball that held her new elite unit, Ayane turned to smirk in a darkly amused manner at Rose. "Well now, you and your men do good work, Rose. Thanks to what all efforts you guys had done, Team Scorn's path to seeing me capture Eternatus had been paved for smooth, easy travel."

"This isn't what I had in mind for awakening Eternatus, you fiendish little girl," Rose scowled bitterly, "I aimed to use Eternatus's power to help generate enough power to stave off the energy crisis Galar would have faced in one-thousand years...!"

"THAT IS IT!" Leon bellowed, catching everyone's attention as he burst into the room. He struck his signature Charizard pose, but Leon rather than smiling or even smirking in amusement was scowling in bitter anger. Turning to look at Team Scorn after coming out of his pose, Leon said, "You villains have gone too far! I, Leon the Champion of Galar and Monarch of the World Coronation Series, will stop you all here and now!"

Ayane arched a wry eyebrow in interest that was barely piqued. "I would think that even a trainer of your reputation ought to know better than to challenge someone who has at their disposal a legendary Pokémon described as the 'Darkest Day' in Galar lore."

As Leon sent out his Charizard, First Captain Yuu of the Headphones Sector of Team Scorn, plus a girl dressed in a standard Team Scorn grunt outfit for girls, stepped up to confront Leon. They were backed by half a dozen male nameless Team Scorn Grunts. "Boss's Assistant Ayane," Yuu said, "Let Yoko, the men, and I handle things here. We've completed the goal of seeing you capture one of the notable legendary Pokémon of Galar lore. It's best that you take off now before you risk being caught."

Nodding once in understanding, Ayane said, "I was already captured once before, I don't wanna risk that again. Especially after I had literally just caught something to serve as a replacement for how I had lost control over Reshiram."

"You and your minions here won't get away with your foul brand of evil, you coward!" Leon barked.

Ayane's glare at Leon narrowed before she turned to look at her followers. "...Make sure you physically hurt Leon directly for how he insulted me just now. Hurt him only, don't go too far." Ayane then turned away to leave, with a group of unnamed Team Scorn grunts following along with her to act as a guard for her.

Leon tried to call for Charizard to stop Ayane from escaping, but Charizard was intercepted by Yuu sending out her Diggersby and Yoko sending out a Helioptile that surprisingly enough is a shiny. Leon growled in bitter frustration, but was surprised, as were the remaining members of Team Scorn, when the familiar voice of Ash called out, "Riolu, use Vacuum Wave on Heiloptile!"

A Vaccum Wave attack was thrown at Yoko's shiny Heiloptile, throwing it back but it wasn't out of the running yet. Leon then saw it as Ash came running up to him. "What's the situation, Leon?" Ash asked.

Settling down from his surprise, Leon said, "A leading member of Team Scorn, some fantasy mage outfit wearing girl named Ayane, just captured Eternatus and left without doing anything else. Her minions here stayed behind to keep me occupied so I couldn't keep Ayane from leaving."

"We need to tell Dawn and the others of this as soon as possible," Ash said, "Because it sounds to me like Team Scorn just got their hands on another big name legendary Pokémon."

Ash and Leon then turned to look and see it as they were surrounded by members of Team Scorn. Although greatly outnumbered, Ash and Leon were more excited to have so much battling to do. The Champions of Alola and Galar smirked in amusement, ready to give it their all to fight their way out of the predicament that they found themselves in at the moment.

Kenny's group and Sonia were met up by Dawn and Trip as they pushed through deeper into the Slumbering Weald. As the group progressed, they were met up by Zacian and Zamazenta, but the two wise wolves merely looked at the group before nodding once and turning to go deeper into the fog. "...They want us to follow them," Dawn remarked, gesturing for the others to follow her.

After dashing through the fog, the group eventually got out of the fog, reached a beautiful, clear area with an altar. Laying on the altar was a Rusted Sword and a Rusted Shield. Dawn and Trip made their way to the altar, with Dawn taking the Rusted Sword and Trip taking the Rusted Shield. After the artifacts were put away into bags, Goh said, "Now we just need to get to Hammerlocke."

"You kids all go on ahead on your Pokémon," Sonia said, "I'll drive my car out. We need to stop the Darkest Day from occurring at all costs!"

"Got it," Dawn replied. The heroes called out Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Dragonite, and Flygon, hopped onto their respective dragons, and flew out of the Slumbering Weald to make a beeline for Hammerlocke, hoping that they wouldn't be too late by the time that they got there.

Not that any of the heroes saw it, but the Rusted Sword glowed blue while the Rusted Shield glowed red.

...

Back in Hammerlocke, the fighting had moved to the top of a tower outside, where Ash and Leon were still battling against the Team Scorn presence left behind. Yuu's Diggersby and Yoko's shiny Helioptile were defeated, and Ash's Riolu had evolved into Lucario in the process. But Yuu sent out a Lopunny and Yoko sent out a male Pyroar. There was also how Rose was able to free Oleana and now the both of them were battling against the various Team Scorn members left behind to keep anyone from following Ayane.

Speaking of, Ayane had to come back when she was informed over comm devices that Oleana was freed and now she and Rose were helping fight back against the compliment of Team Scorn forces left behind. It did see Ayane get in practice with using Eternatus in battle, and the Assistant to the Boss of Team Scorn was using her new legendary Pokémon to terrible effect. None of the trainers standing against Team Scorn was even focusing on Ayane directly due to the sheer number of grunts that were present, allowing Ayane to fight with impunity.

Each attack Ayane had Eternatus use resulted in a knock out on either one of Rose's Pokémon or one of Oleana's Pokémon. "Well now, it would seem that not even the officially ranked strongest trainer and those helping him can stand up to Eternatus's power," Ayane remarked. She pointed the end of her Mage's Staff, the head of which held her Key Stone for Mega Evolving her Pokémon, as Rose and Oleana. "Once the two of you are defeated," Ayane said, "I'll divert to helping with defeating Leon and Ash. Once things are wrapped up here, I'll be-"

"-Ending your discount dastardly deed-doing!"

Ayane was cut off when she and everyone else heard Kenny shout out suddenly. Turning to look, Ayane and the others saw it as Dawn, Kenny, Trip, Mina, and Goh all flew in on their dragons. They landed, recalled their dragons, and joined the fight to help even the odds for Ash, Leon, Rose, and Oleana. Goh's Raboot even saw enough action in the process to evolve into Cinderace. Within short order, about half of the Team Scorn grunts were defeated, as well as Yuu and Yoko. This allowed Dawn and the others to focus more on Ayane, who had Eternatus behind her.

Dawn's glare narrowed suspiciously. "...You caught that Pokémon you got behind you, didn't you Ayane." Dawn spoke her words as if she were making a statement she was sure of, rather than sounding it like she was asking a question.

Ayane, as she zeroed in on Dawn, smirked in amusement. "Yes, I caught Eternatus here. You know, I've been itching to get some measure of revenge against you, Dawn Berlitz. You had caught Reshiram after it was released from my ownership before I was able to recapture it. That denied Team Scorn a lot of power it could field for quite some time." Pointing the end of her Mage's Staff at Dawn, Ayane went on, "But now that I caught Eternatus, I think that Team Scorn will be having a much easier time dealing with you and your companions." Her eyes widened a bit, showing Ayane to be wild with excitement. "Wouldn't you agree?"

"That's where you're wrong!" Trip called out as he pulled the Rusted Shield from his bag. Similarly, Dawn pulled the Rusted Sword from her bag. As Ayane saw Dawn and Trip hold their respective artifacts aloft, they both glowed brightly. When the artifacts were held aloft like that in Hammerlocke, Zacian and Zamazenta over in the Slumdering Weald awoke and rushed in flying streaks to the location of their artifacts over in Hammerlocke. The arrival of the wise wolves surprised all who were at the top of the tower, especially Ayane.

Zacian and Zamazenta then took possession of the Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield respectively, thus assuming their Crowned Sword and Crowned Shield forms in the process. Zacian and Zamazenta turned to look back on the heroes, gave knowing looks to Dawn and Trip respectively. The two wise wolves then turned back to face Ayane's Eternatus as the both of them gave howling cries, indicating that they were going to be lending their aid to the heroes to fight off Eternatus, to fight off the evil of Team Scorn, to once again save the Galar region from a Darkest Day.

END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTY-SEVEN

Author's notes;

This chapter covers a lot of the Sword and Shield arc where Eternatus is summoned and Zacian and Zamazenta are awakened to fight it. But there are several major changes, including the fact that Ayane used a Master Ball to capture Eternatus. There's also the fact that First Captain Yuu and Second Captain Ryoko of Team Scorn's Headphones Sector, plus the respective Captain's Assistants of Yuu and Ryoko, show up to help with fighting off the heroes. The chapter ends on Zacian and Zamazenta giving knowing looks to Dawn and Trip respectively before lending their aid to fight off Team Scorn's corruptive evil. Things are going to continue on from here in the next chapter, but until then take care.
