Chapter Two-hundred and sixty-six: The Pokémon All-Father

Dawn, Kenny, and Trip once more found themselves floating in the space where they were charged with their great task by a giant stone tablet that looked like a smart phone in an Arceus themed case. Speaking of, said stone tablet was now floating before them once more. "You have done well," the voice of the tablet spoke to Dawn and the boys, "All of the keys are now in your possession, under your ownership. The ultimate key will now be made available to you. Use it in order to acquire the power that it offers, a power that will aid in staving off even region-wrecking threats."

"Where will we find this key?" Kenny asked.

"In the place where everything began," replied the tablet's voice, "You will know what that means when you awaken from this shared dream you three are having so that I may praise you on your job being well done."

Trip was feeling that this was another shared dream. "...Where do we go once we have the ultimate key?" Trip had an idea what the ultimate key would be, as well as where they had to go with it and what to do upon getting there.

"Go to Spear Pillar," replied the tablet's voice, "But be ready for a great challenge. You must prove capable of handling the power with which you will fend off the great threats that will emerge to threaten your world." Everything began to fade from vision for the reborn trainers as everything went white and brightly blinding. "You will know what to do when you awaken," the table's voice said as he floated back while everything faded to white, "I leave things here to you."

...

Dawn was awoken by a panicked cry from Johanna, her and Trip's mom. "Dawn, sweetie, there's something floating in the middle of your room!" Johanna cried out in alarm. Perking up more, Dawn propped herself up in bed and looked around her room. Her still somewhat tired eyes eventually fell upon the floating item in her room, and seeing it made Dawn's eyes widen out of surprise, helping her wake up mire fully. Dawn threw off the covers, revealing she wore her full body Infernape-themed onsie, and got up out of bed to walk over to the item floating in the middle of her room.

The Azure Flute.

Dawn walked upto the Azure Flute, held her hands out so they were under the Azure Flute by about an inch or so. With Dawn's hands under it, the Azure Flute gently floated down until it landed in Dawn's hands, losing the power that made it float. But Dawn could tell that the Azure Flute still held great power, a power that Dawn knew she had to go to Spear Pillar to use. But that could come after she and everyone else got freshened up and woke up fully. For now, Dawn had to shower and, after that, get some breakfast into her. No doubt Kenny, Trip, and Mina will be much the same.

In addition to Dawn, Trip, and Johanna, they also had Kenny and Mina over for breakfast. Cynthia the former Sinnoh Champ and now current Pokémon lore researcher, as well as Professor Rowan the resident Pokémon Professor of Sinnoh, were also over for breakfast. Both Cynthia and Rowan marveled at the sight of the Azure Flute, but a spark of energy flew out and smacked into Rowan's hand when he tried reaching for it, even though Dawn had no objection to letting Rowan touch it. "Yeah, that had also happened when anyone else aside from Dawn tried touching it," Kenny explained.

Trip nodded in the affirmative. "It shocked me, Kenny, Mina, even mom. Only Dawn doesn't get sparks of power from it."

"Well Dawn did say it was found in her room when she woke up," Kenny said, "Maybe since it appeared for her, it will only let her touch it."

"...I wanna see if that's the case," Cynthia said. She reached for the Azure Flute, only for a spark of power to flare out and strike her hand. The impact, same as it was for anyone not named Dawn Berlitz, wasn't truly hurtful, but enough to give the person the idea to keep their hands off. Cynthia's amused smile was a sign that she got the answer she was hoping for. "...It would seem that it is up to Dawn to use the Azure Flute."

Dawn nodded once in understanding. "Kenny, Trip, and I had another shared dream. We have to go to Spear Pillar with the Azure Flute."

Cynthia nodded only once, but it was a nod of understanding. "Although we can all go with you to Spear Pillar and wait around for you to be done, I get the feeling that it will be you and you alone who can go to where the Azure Flute will lead."

"A meeting with Arceus," Dawn remarked, drawing an affirmative nod out of Cynthia.

"It's been said that the 'ultimate key' that is obtained after catching all other legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh will be used to unlock a power great enough to stave off even region-wrecking threats," Rowan remarked, "It turns out that the Azure Flute is the 'ultimate key', and it will allow one to meet Arceus. Can this be taken to mean that Arceus itself is the power that can stave off region-wrecking threats? If so, how will Arceus help fend off the region-wrecking threats? And what even are said region-wrecking threats anyway?"

"My guess is that Team Scorn is gonna try to do to an entire region what they did to Lumios City, Kalos," Trip said, his tone and expression grim, "Given that Ayane had captured Eternatus over in the Galar region, Team Scorn now has some significant power they can bring to the table."

Cynthia's expression took on a hint of grim tone itself. "...That is very concerning. But if there is any Pokémon that can best even Eternatus, it'll be Arceus. Backed by Zacian and Zamazenta of course, for they're the ones who have it out for Eternatus according to Galar lore." It was clear that the reborn trainers and everyone else was in agreement that there was no time like the present. For the drive over to Mount Coronet where Spear Pillar could be found, Cynthia got a rental ride that could seat her, Rowan, and the reborn trainers comfortably. Johanna would wait in Twinleaf Town, but she wished everyone luck.

Dawn especially, as there were vibes that the ticket to see Arceus would only admit her.

The drive to Mount Coronet was quick, but the grim silence made it seem longer. Dawn was also thinking about how the meeting with Arceus will go; will she simply tell it of the dangers that threaten the world and get it to agree to help her and the other heroes, or will she have to battle and catch it to get it to help? If the latter ended up being the case, it was a good thing for Dawn that she still had Tsukune, Kurumu, Fangfang, Ruby, Zyuoh, and Sif all in her on hand team. The strongest overall team that she was capable of fielding; they just had to do if it came to blows against Arceus.

Eventually, the rental vehicle Cynthia got reached Mount Coronet. To the surprise of the heroes, outside of the entrance that led down into the vast room where Dialga and Palkia were caught was a team of researchers, one of which was Professor Carolina, who is Cynthia's grandmother. The reborn trainers plus Cynthia and Rowan all got out of the rental vehicle and walked up to the researcher team. "Ah, Cynthia," Carolina said as she saw her adult granddaughter approach, "Glad someone else who is very capable at lore researching came by! I could always use another set of hands around here!"

"Grandma, what's going on?" Cynthia asked.

Carolina didn't talk at first, instead merely turned to point at something on the ground right in front of the entrance that led down to where Dialga and Palkia were summoned. It was a large stone slab embedded in the ground, right up in front of the entrance as if it were a doormat. An image of a potato-shaped flute was taking up most of the area of the mat. "...That stone slab, impervious to what all had been tried to damage or remove it," Carolina said, "Was reported to have suddenly appeared last night. No-one actually saw it appear, but it wasn't there at all yesterday. It must have appeared suddenly in the middle of the night."

Cynthia's eyes narrowed out of suspicion. "...Funny that. Something had similarly appeared at the Berlitz residence last night and was found this morning by Dawn."

Carolina perked up at that and, seeing the reborn trainers standing behind Cynthia and Rowan, gestured for Dawn to come up. "I knew that you were something special when you bested my granddaughter in an official title match to become Champion of Sinnoh," Carolina began, "And I did recently hear you took the position of Monarch of the World Coronation Series from Galar champion Leon. But now something is appearing for you much the same as how that stone slab right outside of Spear Pillar's entrance had appeared?"

Dawn nodded once, reached into her bag to pull out the Azure Flute. Carolina's eyes widened a bit in surprise. "...That looks like the image in the stone slab serving as a welcome mat to Spear Pillar's entrance," Carolina said, "Also Spear Pillar can't be access, like a set of invisible stairs is blocking it."

"Grandma..." Cynthia spoke up. The former Sinnoh champion then took a few minutes to explain everything to Carolina and some of the other researchers who gathered around. Cynthia ended her explanation by gesturing to Dawn while saying, "...Thus leading to how Dawn, and I believe it has to be Dawn alone, is set to have a meeting with Arceus."

"The fabled creator of our universe..." Carolina said, her tone sounding with a hint of reverence. Turning to look at Dawn, Carolina said, "...You really are just full of surprises, aren't you?"

"Do you think that my main man here can convince Arceus to help fend off the foretold region-wrecking threat?" Kenny asked, "Also, it'd be totally cool if we were able to unleash Arceus upon Team Scorn."

Carolina chuckled a bit in amusement. "I don't think that there is any force in this world that can measure up to Arceus. At least any one force alone." Turning to look at Dawn again, Carolina said, "Dawn. I believe that you, holding the Azure Flute, must stand on the stone mat in front of Spear Pillar's entrance, then play the Azure Flute in order to call out to Arceus. I cannot say what will happen after that, but if the worst comes to pass and you end up having to battle Arceus, do you believe that you're capable of at least lasting a few minutes?"

Dawn nodded once in the affirmative. She had an entire team of box cover legendaries, some of which can assume stronger forms thanks to holding special held items. Heck, Kurumu flat out gets an overall higher BST than Arceus when Primal Reversed. Dawn still hoped that it wouldn't come to blows against Arceus however; she was hoping that Arceus can merely be convinced to help the innocent persons of the world fend off major threats. Dawn, the Champion of Sinnoh and Monarch of the World Coronation Series, looked to Carolina with a firm look that held all the seriousness that she could muster.

"I can. And I'm ready."

Dawn was then led over to the stone slab in the ground. Holding the Azure Flute, Dawn held it up so she could play it. Dawn, in her previous life, had some experience playing an ocarina, which was sort of similar to the Azure Flute. As such, she had something of an idea going into playing the Azure Flute on how to actually play it. But to Dawn's surprise, the Azure Flute played the music that, in the games in Dawn's previous life, it played before the staircase to the Hall of Origin appeared; all Dawn did was blow into it while moving her fingers about the Azure Flute like she was actually trying to play it.

After the music was done, the entire area was engulfed in a blinding flash of light. When the light faded, everyone saw that there was now a big staircase that led up. And up. And up. And up. All the way up the side of Mount Coronet and into the skies above. "...I am going to go out on a limb here and take it that you will have to climb this staircase to reach the meeting with Arceus," Carolina said, "That said, it's a good thing you've lost all of your excess weight you had in the last Kenny Harris Studios movie that I saw you in. You'd wear yourself out silly climbing these stairs if you were still fat."

"Grandma, Dawn wore a fat suit for that role," Cynthia said, "I actually made the same mistake myself and had the truth pointed out to me."

Carolina, with a mildly surprised look on her face, remarked, "...Well now that I think about it, Dawn's weight WAS looking to go up and down too quickly for the weight gain and weight loss to be natural." As Kenny mentioned having to add Cynthia's grandma to the list of folks who thought Dawn was for real gaining and losing weight, Dawn herself began the climb up the stairs to have the meeting with Arceus. Dawn, in addition to being glad she was in good physical shape (Carolina did make a point on how Dawn were she fat would struggle climbing up so many stairs) was also glad she didn't have asthma as that would make such a climb a struggle as well.

Not having asthma, Dawn thought as she began climbing the stairs, was one of the things she liked about having isekai'd.

...

After what seemed like an eternity of climbing stairs, Dawn finally saw the top of the stairs within reach. She never looked down not even once as she made her ascent up. Picking up the pace, Dawn climbed the last few stairs, but stopped short when she saw what the last step led to; a wide open platform, big enough to have a great battle on. Dawn gulped nervously, made sure Kurumu was the first Pokémon in her party, before climbing the last true few steps and made her way onto the platform, which she had a feeling was the Hall of Origin.

Standing at the end in the back was Arceus itself.

Dawn gulped nervously, approached slowly. "Arceus!" Dawn called out, making the Alpha Pokémon turn to look at her. "There are great threats that are troubling the world right now," Dawn called out, "Aside from how there's a foreseen threat that could wreck entire regions, there are also groups of villainous humans threatening the good innocent people of the world! Would you be willing to lend your power and aid in fending off the troubles so that those who aren't deserving of strife won't have to deal with suffering?"

Arceus looked right at Dawn, contemplated her for a few moments. Then, after a few tense moments of silence, Arceus raised its head and gave a cry that, to Dawn's relief, sounding accepting and even approving. Dawn let out a breath, sounding relieved, but then looked back up at Arceus when it gave another cry. To Dawn's utter surprise, Arceus nodded its head a few times, reared up to kick its front legs around, then came back down while moving its front right hoof as if it were going to charge right at Dawn. But it did not charge.

Dawn could tell right away that Arceus, although it would help, still wanted to battle, obviously to test to see if Dawn was worthy of calling upon its aid. But rather than a violent battle where even Dawn would be pushed to her limits, the challenge seemed more akin to a friendly spar. Friendly or not, Dawn still aimed to win as Arceus's power was going to be needed to fend off the region wrecking threat that was foreseen. Taking a stance for battle, Dawn accepted the Alpha Pokémon's challenge before she sent out her first Pokémon.

"Alright, Kurumu! Let's get goin'!"

Coming out to battle Arceus was Dawn's named Groudon Kurumu who, due to holding the Red Orb, immediately underwent Primal Reversion to become Primal Groudon. In that state, it boasted an overall greater BST than Arceus. But Dawn was doubting that alone would allow for Kurumu to trump the Alpha Pokémon in battle. Gesturing forward, Dawn called out, "Kurumu, use Fire Punch!"

As the named Primal Groudon swung a flame cloaked fist at Arceus, bolstered in strength by the harsh sunlight brought about by Desolate Land, Arceus blitzed Kurumu in a flashstep-like speed, slamming right into Kurumu before taking the Fire Punch and even getting burned as a result. Kurumu was far from finished, and Dawn could tell that Arceus had used Extreme Speed, but it would take even Arceus a good number of such moves to wear Primal Groudon down. "Kurumu, use Brick Break!" Dawn called out, prompting Kurumu to strike Arceus with a chopping strike, dealing great damage as Arceus was a normal type.

Arceus then retaliated by unleashing a bellowing, savage shout that slammed into Kurumu, making it reel back a bit. Dawn recognized the move as Hyper Voice, and it was fitting that the one Pokémon above all others would have a powerful voice. Arceus was then hurt by its burn, but it was still far from finished. Dawn called for Kurumu to use Brick Break again, and after the named Primal Ground struck Arceus with a chopping strike, Dawn saw that Arceus was getting close to its limit, or at least Dawn figured that the Alpha Pokémon was getting to its limit.

But then Arceus used Recover, healing itself by up to half of its maximum health. Dawn called for Kurumu to use Brick Break again, and after Kurumu struck Arceus with another chopping strike, Arceus took aim and fired a Hyper Beam right at Kurumu, blasting it in the gut. Kurumu was getting worn out, but Arceus was suffering the recoil of having to recharge for a turn after using a move like Hyper Beam. Dawn also saw that Arceus had displayed all of the moves it knew coming into the battle; one recovery move and three normal type moves.

Getting an idea, Dawn swapped Kurumu out of battle. "Alright, Zyuoh! Let's get goin'!" Coming out in Kurumu's place was Zyuoh, Dawn's named Solgaleo. As a dual psychic steel type, Zyuoh with its steel typing can resist all of Arceus's attacking moves. Zyuoh also knew Crunch, which carried a chance of dropping the defense stat of the target. Dawn was hoping Zyuoh could drop Arceus's defense enough for either Kurumu to come back out and strike hard with Brick Break, or for Sif to come out and strike hard with Sacred Sword (she wasn't sure if possible defense drops on Arceus would help as Sacred Sword ignored defense changes to the target, but Zacian got an attack boost upon entering battle so that may help).

At Dawn's cue, Zyuoh charged in to bite down on Arceus with Crunch, although Arceus struck first with Extreme speed; not only was Extreme Speed resisted, but its power was curbed even further due to Arceus being burned. As such, even Arceus's strength didn't do much to Solgaleo, who went on to bite down hard on Arceus with Crunch, and Dawn from what she could tell observed that it did in fact seem that Arceus suffered a drop to its defense. Dawn's second call for Crunch looked like it did more damage than the first, and Dawn felt her hopes soar when it looked like Arceus took another drop to its defense.

Arceus used Recover again, but the named Solgaleo rushed in and used Crunch a third time. Dawn's didn't see signs of a defense drop on Arceus, but it was clear to her Crunch number three did more damage than Crunch number two. Dawn had Zyuoh use Crunch yet again, only this time Arceus after it was hit blasted Zyuoh with Hyper Beam, hardly doing much while leaving itself stunned for a turn. Dawn used the time to get in two more Crunches, one of which scored a third drop on Arceus's defense. Dawn was hoping that it would lead to Arceus yielding the battle and agreeing to help the good of the world fend off the bad.

After the stun from using Hyper Beam wore off, Arceus immediately used Recover, but even recovering half its health didn't help much as Dawn kept piling on Crunches with her named Solgaleo. The battle raged on, and Dawn eventually noticed that Arceus stopped using Recover. Taking that as a sign, Dawn swapped Zyuoh out to send in Sif, her named Zacian. It's Intrepid Sword ability activated, boosting its attack. Even IF Sif's Sacred Sword didn't take the defense drops Arceus suffered into account, it still ought to take the attack boost into account. And it would still be super effective either way.

Gesturing forward, Dawn called out, "Sif, use Sacred Sword!" The named Zacian, in its Crowned Sword form, raised its head up, holding its sword aloft, as it gave a howl before rushing Arceus and striking it with Sacred Sword, the hit even landing on Arceus's burn no less and making the Alpha Pokémon cry out in a way that told Dawn she had scored a critical hit. When Sif backed off, getting ready to attack again, Dawn saw Arceus kneel down, its head bowed, as it shuddered a bit. It gave a cry that sounded like a person saying that they had enough. "Sif, stand down," Dawn called.

The named Zacian, although still ready to attack if Dawn called for it to do so, refrained from continuing the battle. Looking to Arceus, Dawn called out, "I'm assuming that I passed whatever test you were giving me to see if you'd let me call upon you to help fend of the dangers that the world is facing?" Arceus gave a tired nod in the affirmative before, with a tad bit of effort, forced itself back to its feet. It looked to Dawn, nodded twice at her before moving its head in a manner like a pet would to scoot something on a table surface over. Arceus repeated this gesture while crying out at Dawn.

Dawn, to her surprise, realized that Arceus was trying to prompt her to capture it. Gulping nervously, Dawn took out the first spare Pokéball her hand found in her bag, a Timer Ball. Given how long the battle had raged, Dawn figured it'd at the very least be effective enough to give her time to pull out one of the Master Balls she got from the Kalos Pokéball Factory. Dawn immediately expanded the Timer Ball and threw it at Arceus before immediately going into her bag to find and fish out a Master Ball, as Dawn figured it would be the only surefire way to ensure that Arceus would be ca-

*ping*

Dawn stopped short as she heard the ping that indicated a ball had caught a Pokémon; looking up from her bag and over to where Arceus stood, Dawn saw that in place of the Alpha Pokémon sat a Timer Ball on the ground in the Hall of Origin. Stopping her rummaging around through her bag, Dawn cautiously approached the Timer Ball before picking it up and scanning it with her Pokédex. To her amazed wonder, Dawn saw that she had actually successfully captured Arceus. It was genderless, Multitype was its ability, and Modest was its nature.

Dawn still couldn't believe it that she had captured Arceus, but the proof was right there. Now the region-wrecking threat that had been foreseen could be fought off, now even Eternatus who was under Ayane's sway would be (at least) far easier to deal with. Obviously Dawn was going to wanna work on training Arceus, mostly due to how it didn't come knowing its signature move Judgment. But that could wait until later. For now, Dawn had to report back down to the people waiting back at the base of the stairs that led up to the Hall of Origin.

Dawn took a moment though to look out over the Hall of Origin, as she was so focused on battling Arceus that she didn't pay the environment much mind. The skies above were mostly dark but Dawn could see the sun rising in the distance, painting a breath-taking scene of wonder that made Dawn feel as if she had reached the top of the world. Given where she was physically located at the moment, she might as well be. Dawn even took a few moments to snap some photos on her phone, as well as record a short video of everything, before she turned around to leave.

She had to tell the people waiting for her the good news.

...

The researchers, as well as Cynthia, Rowan, and the other reborn trainers, were waiting for Dawn to get back, some feeling like the wait was too long to bear. After what seemed like an eternity of waiting, Dawn appeared in view as she was seen coming down the stairs that led all the way up to the Hall of Origin. Dawn could already hear the cheers for her return as soon as she spotted everyone waiting down on the ground. When after a moment she finally reached the ground and got off the stairs, those very stairs disappeared, as did the stone slab with the image of a flute on it.

"So Dawn," Carolina began, "Did you meet Arceus?"

All eyes were on Dawn as they waited to hear how Dawn's trip up and down the stairs to the Hall of Origin went. Dawn, knowing that the others had to know, took out the Timer Ball that held Arceus; Dawn had sent Ruby to Oak's Lab to make room to add Arceus to her party right away. Dawn also figured a nickname was due as she had a tendency to nickname all of the Pokémon that she caught. And when it came to the Alpha Pokémon, Dawn had a pretty good idea for a nickname in mind for it, a nickname that Dawn felt was fitting, given Arceus's lofty position in mythology.

"Come on out, Odin!"

After Dawn had called out her named Arceus, the researchers were all taken aback by the sight of the Alpha Pokémon. Even Cynthia was taken aback by the sight, even Rowan was taken aback by the sight. Really, only Kenny, Trip, and Mina were the only ones present who were NOT shocked by Dawn having caught Arceus. "And she had named it Odin," Trip muttered to himself under his breath, "Why am I not surprised?"

"You... you had caught Arceus..." Rowan said, "...A miracle among miracles..."

Gesturing to Odin, Dawn said, "I figured this is what Odin had in mind when it agreed to lend its aid to fend off the foreseen threats, especially as it had me battle it first. My guess is that it wanted to be sure the good of humanity was worthy of receiving its aid in fending off the evil of humanity as well as the region-wrecking threat that had been foreseen."

"Well, I'd like to see Team Scorn try to pull anything now," Mina said, "I mean, us good guys have Arceus in our corner now. Team Scorn will probably collectively poop themselves if they see Arceus bearing down against them."

Dawn nodded in agreement before calling back Odin. Even with the vast power it boasted, Arceus would still need to be trained, taking its aforementioned vast power and honing it to the finest degree. This was especially prudent as the damaging attacks that Odin came knowing were all normal type attacks; a ghost type Pokémon that knew at least one non-ghost type damaging attack would be able to do more to Odin now than what Odin would be able to do without first diversifying its move set. Dawn was aiming for Odin to learn Judgment, which would change type depending on the elemental Plate that it held; luckily for Dawn she and the other reborn trainers had all of the elemental Plates now.

Dawn also had a few ideas on other attacks she could have Odin learn, and said moves would allow the named Arceus to cover opponents of a wide ranging... range. It was still exciting that Dawn had caught Arceus, and it was decided that the reborn trainers would rest and celebrate before continuing their journey wherever the World Coronation Series would take them next. But regardless of what those challenges ended up being, the reborn trainers were confident that they would be able to face all of what challenged them, and then some.

And given they now have Arceus, the reborn trainers were wondering what would pop up to serve as an effective test run for Odin.

Over in Cerulean City, Kanto, an orange-haired girl was walking along to a crepe stand. She was fair skinned, her hair was worn down straight, she wore orange framed glasses with square lenses that had rounded points, and her outfit consisted of a baggy yellow long-sleeved shirt worn under an equally baggy hoodie that was red, the ends of the sleeves of the hoodie hanging loosely around the girl's wrists as opposed to clinging to them. The girl also wore a pair of blue-colored baggy cargo shorts held up with a belt, white socks, and clunky looking red shoes.

The girl also had a Spinarak sitting on her shoulder, obviously enjoying being the girl's shoulder pet. Eventually, the girl and her Spinarak reached the crepe stand, where the girl got two crepes, one for herself and a smaller one for her Spinarak. After paying for the crepes and turning to leave, the girl let out a frightened scream when she saw that the trainer behind her was accompanied by a Poliwag.

The boy looked mildly concerned. "Did... did Poliwag and I scare you by accident?" the boy asked.

"That Pokémon looks all wet and splashy and stuff!" the girl said while pointing at Poliwag, "It's really scary!"

The boy looked even more confused. "...How is Poliwag scary to anyone?"

"My guess is that the young lady is unnerved by the presence of water type Pokémon," spoke up a man's voice, making the boy and the girl turn to see an older man standing in line, a Mime Jr. sitting on his shoulder. The man was fair skinned and had a sort of pastel olive green-gray hair, and her wore a white jacket with the sleeve ends ending above his wrists; there was also black material around his neck and shoulder area, and green ornaments inside golden highlights were on his shoulders themselves. He also wore a bluish dress shirt with a red tie underneath the jacket, and he wore dark gray pants and shiny black dress shoes. He had a kindly, fatherly look in his eyes.

The boy, not wanting the girl to feel uncomfortable, recalled his Poliwag, then was able to buy some crepes from the stand before taking off. Letting out a relieved sigh, the girl said, "That Pokémon who was with the boy is really creepy. Why couldn't it be all wriggly and crawly and stuff like Spinarak here?" The girl's Spinarak then gave off a cry that showed it liked how its trainer found it to be adorable.

"Hmm, afraid of water types but loving bug types," the man said as he gave a contemplative hum. The man then bought himself a crepe from the stand, plus a smaller one for his Mime Jr. "You are an interesting young lady," the man said, "Anyway, I figured that I ought to tell you who I am. I'm known as Professor Amaranth. My crew and I will be getting up to some work here in Kanto."

"We're not in Kanto," the girl said, "We're in Cerulean City." The look on the girl's face, the sound of her tone, made it clear she thought that she was stating an obvious correction to a mistake that the now identified Professor Amaranth had made.

"Cerulean City is a location inside of Kanto," Amaranth pointed out. Gently chuckling off the girl's confusion, Amaranth said, "Well anyway young lady, you best stay safe now. Things will be heating up in Kanto."

After Amaranth took off, the girl looked on in confusion as Amaranth left. When he was out of sight, the girl turned to her Spinarak. "That man was weird," the girl said to her Spinarak as she held the smaller crepe up to Spinarak, who delightfully began eating it.

END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SIX

Author's notes;

This chapter covers the result of the reborn trainers catching all other legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh; obtaining the Azure Flute and using it to call up the stairs that lead to the Hall of Origin. There, Dawn and Dawn alone has to go up there and meet with Arceus. It agrees to lend aid, but first tests Dawn with a battle to see if she was worthy of calling upon said aid. Dawn wins out, and even is able to capture Arceus, giving it a nickname worthy of being given to such a Pokémon. With Arceus now caught, the reborn trainers feel that not even Team Scorn can win out in the end.

Meanwhile in Kanto, Professor Amaranth, who heads up Project Mew, encounters a girl and her Spinarak at a crepe stand in Cerulean City. The girl thinks that Amaranth is weird, but Amaranth says something about his group getting to work in Kanto. What that could mean is something that will have to be waited for, as there is a couple of other topics to cover, not to mention Dawn training up Odin to be able to exert its full power in fending off even the region-wrecking threat that had been foreseen. It will be an interesting couple of chapters yet, but until then take care.
