They say the war between covens can be caused by many things such as a girl being kidnapped for a bloodline she possesses can be the catalyst for tension between covens.

Muriel POV

The autumn sabbath was underway as all of my witches had come to celebrate the event. Augustus was seen dancing with Charylisabella as they came to stand next to me as it was clear all the young warlocks were watching her as she released her long raven dark hair from the ribbon it was in.

The night wore on until the sound of gunshots were heard as my witches started panicking and trampling over each other to try and get away from the group of townspeople who had found their way into my lair.

'Muriel!' Augustus yelled pulling me back into the lair. 'Don't look.'

'Why what is going on?' I asked as he looked at me.

'It's some of your witches, they have been burnt alive.' Augustus said as I looked at him.

'Where's Bella?' I asked as he looked at me.

'I don't know.' He said as I looked at him. 'She must have vanished in the confusion.'

That night I was stood on the elevation of the mountain as the fires from the attack formed a dark circle of black against the stone of the mountains as the fires inside the lair skimmed over the painting of Charylisabella, done after her transition period.

So many lives were destroyed that night. What had always been was now gone forever. And my Charylisabella, my beloved sister. I will never see her again.

Gretel POV

I had been in a neighbouring town with Hansel and Ben when word reached us about the attack on the mountains and a mysterious kidnapping of Muriel's sister. I looked at Hansel.

'Fancy a trip to Dierdof?' I asked as he looked at me.

'Got a missing child problem?' He asked as I shook my head.

'More like a missing sister.' I said as he looked at me. 'So what do you say?'

'Alright, we will check it out in the morning.' He said as I looked at him.
