Attention all readers-Here is the Johto region. I'm going on record to say that I'm working hard on the Johto region, and I've only seen certain clips online for certain episodes. In the original airing of Pokemon and its entire running of Ash and Pikachu's journey, I know that Ash doesn't have a sibling. Like the other Pokemon Fanfiction that I have uploaded so far, in my version (as well as others that I have read), Ash has a sibling. Also, Jordan will do the current count for the number of times Team Rocket tried to take Pikachu and Meeko away from her and Ash, that includes the banned and not aired in the United States episodes. I don't want to make those episodes feel left out. I hope that you will like it and Happy Reading!
I DONT OWN POKEMON! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND THE CREATION OF HER REGIONAL POKEMON TEAM! TO ANYONE WHO HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE REGION ORDER THAT I'M WRITING, I ASK THAT YOU STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT IT! ITS GETTING REALLY ANNOYING RIGHT NOW! I'M WORKING WITH WHAT I GOT SO DONT RUSH ME TO DO THE OTHER REGIONS, OK!
Shoutouts:
Narrator: It's been a long uphill struggle but today our friends are about to reach the first milestone on the road to the Johto League.
Jordan: Today feels like its going to be a long one.
Meeko: Riol.
Narrator, shrugging: They're on the verge of entering Violet City!
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said as he climbed up on Ash as Jordan and Meeko stood beside them.
"Hey, come on, you guys, lets hurry up!" Ash called out to Misty and Brock. "We gotta get down there! Violet City Gym, here I come!"
"Pika-Pika!" said Pikachu.
"I'm ready to cheer you on!" said Jordan.
"Riolu!" said Meeko.
"I wonder where the Gym is." Ash said as the quartet entered town.
"Maybe we better ask somebody." suggested Misty.
"The guidebook says it's a little bit north of here." said Brock.
"Like a mile or two, right?" asked Jordan. "A little over 2.5 miles and under 10 miles to be exact." he tells her as Pikachu smells the flowers. "Shouldn't take that long to get there."
"Pikachu!"
"Oh, boy!" said a girl, seeing Pikachu.
"I wanna play with it!" said a boy as he and the girl pulled Pikachu back and forth.
"See how its letting me hug it?" the girl, Lizzy asked. "I love it."
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said, struggling to get out Lizzy's and the boy's grasp.
"Hey you two, be careful!" Jordan called out as she and Meeko ran over. "This is extremely high voltage Pikachu. This one doesn't like being pulled around."
"Riolu." said Meeko. Both Lizzy and the boy, Zackie, ignored her and kept going.
"Hey, look how stretchy its ears are!" said Zackie, pulling Pikachu's ears. "Come here, Pikachu!"
"No. I wanna hug it. Its my turn!" said Lizzy, grabbing Pikachu's arm.
"Is not! My turn!"
"Is not!"
Both of them kept arguing until Pikachu decided to send out a Thunderbolt. "Pikachu, don't!" shouted Ash, going into grab him and gets shocked.
"Hey!" Jordan shouted, gaining their attention. "Guess what?! It's my turn now!" She then takes the now stressed-out Pikachu from her poor brother's hands. "You stressed-out my brother's Pikachu! Now neither of you can touch him so back off!"
"Riolu!" shouted Meeko, glaring at both kids.
"My sister's right. This may come as a shock, but this Pikachu's mine." Ash weakly said.
"Aw! We thought it was a wild Pokémon." said Zackie, then he turns his attention to Meeko and starts to reach out for her.
"Don't even think about it, kid." Jordan tells him. "She gets violent when others touch her without asking."
"Is she yours?" Lizzy asked.
"Yep. Her name's Meeko and if you ask nicely, she might give you a hug." said Jordan.
"May I pet you?" Lizzy asked Meeko.
"Riol…" Meeko said, getting a sense of Lizzy before hugging her.
"See? If you're kind to Meeko, she'll be kind to you." Jordan said with a smile as Pikachu finally relaxes in her arms. "Feel better now?"
"Pikachu." he said, nodding causing Jordan to smile.
"Zackie! Lizzy!" a woman called out to them as she ran over. "You should be in class. What are you doing out here?"
"I was just trying to catch a Pikachu!" Zackie explained as Jordan hands Pikachu over to Ash.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." the woman said, bowing to Ash and Jordan. "I hope my students havent caused a problem!"
"Oh, no, there's no problem." said Brock and starts patting Ash's head. "My little buddy here enjoys a jolt now and then."
"No he doesn't." said Jordan.
"Oh-how, how interesting!" said the woman.
"Yes, just like you!" said Brock.
"Right." said Ash.
"If that's your Pikachu and Meeko, you both must be a Pokémon Trainer?" asked Zackie.
"Yep." said Ash.
"Not officially but I will be." said Jordan. "I'm travelling with my brother and catching my own set of Pokémon so that in two years, I can have my own journey."
"Oh, boy." said Lizzy.
"Wow, we know all about Pokémon training 'cause we're gonna be trainers when we graduate from the Pokémon Academy!" said Zackie.
"The Pokémon Academy?" asked Ash.
"Lets get a brochure." said Jordan.
"Yes, the Pokémon Academy is a special school where I teach very young children who want to be Pokémon Trainers all about Pokémon, how to train them and how to take care of them." the teacher explained.
"These children are so lucky to have a sensitive, caring, loving teacher like you." said Brock as tears ran down his face. "My name is Brock, and I'm a Pokémon breeder. What's your name, beautiful lady?"
"I'm Miss Priscilla."
"My friends and I are looking for the Violet City Gym." Brock said to her. "But its more important to show the students our Pokémon and spend time here with you!"
"Huh!" said Ash, Misty and Jordan.
"I welcome you all to the Pokémon Academy!" said a man in a unitard. "I hereby name you honorary teachers so you can tell our students all about Pokémon!"
"Yeah…thanks…." said Jordan as she and the others stepped back.
"Yay!" shouted the kids.
"This is our principal, Mr. Earl Dervish." said Miss. Priscilla.
"So what do you say, Trainers?" he asked. "Join us! Gove teaching a whirl!"
"Does he always twirl around like this?" asked Misty as Jordan held onto her.
"I just love a person who dances with that kind of energy." said Miss Priscilla. "Don't you?"
"I don't even have that kind of dance energy and I'm someone who dances for fun." said Jordan.
"I'm full of energy!" said Brock, wearing the same outfit as the principal and joins in his dance. "If you love dancing, I love dancing too, Miss Priscilla."
"Lets duet." said Brock and Dervish. "Spinning like a spinning top. Spin all day, we just won't stop! Spinning like a spinning top. Spin all day, we just won't stop!"
"Pika, Pika!" said Pikachu as he, Meeko and Togepi joined the dance.
Ash starts clearing his throat while Jordan had a neutral look on her face. "The most important thing a new Pokémon trainer has to remember is…" Ash said as he starts his speech. "Lets see now, uh, what was it?"
"You have to remember to always wake up on time!" said Jordan, causing Ash to groan. "Otherwise, when you wake up on your 10th birthday, you'll be late to pick up your first Pokémon and be stuck with a stubborn Pokemon."
"Uh….it's on the tip of my tongue." said Ash as he tries to remember when Jordan takes Dexter out of his hand.
"When you turn ten, you'll go to Professor Elm for your first Pokémon." Jordan starts to explain. "He will give you a Pokedex, like this one."
"Ooh!" the kids said in awe.
"What about you?" one girl asked.
"Since asking my brother to go on his journey with him, Professor Oak of Pallet Town programmed the Pokedex to have both pictures of me and Ash inside." answered Jordan.
"Why don't you just tell us about Pokémon battles?" asked Zackie.
"Yeah, have you and Jordan battled a lot of Pokémon, Ash?" asked Lizzy.
"We've battled all kinds of Pokémon." he tells Lizzy. "I made it to the top sixteen when I competed in the Pokémon League at the Indigo Plateau!"
"The Pokémon League."
"At the Indigo Plateau."
"Wow!"
"Yeah me too!"
"I don't want you to think I'm bragging." said Ash, feeling a little embarrassed.
"Yeah, even though you are!" said Misty.
"You'll tell anyone who would listen." said Jordan.
"Ah, why should we listen to you if you weren't the winner?" asked Zackie.
"Hm. Wise guy." said Ash, slightly glaring at the boy.
"Alright, class." said Misty, gathering their attention. "How may of you would like it if we all went outside for recess and you could meet our Pokémon in person?"
"Me!" they shouted.
"Remember….if you treat my Pokémon with kindness, they'll be kind to you." Jordan said before they left the classroom.
"Okay, kids. Get ready." said Brock. "Here comes the Pokémon!"
"Vulpix! Geodude! Zubat! Onix!" shouted Brock's Pokémon.
"And if you like Water Pokémon, you're gonna love these!" said Misty, sending out her Pokémon.
"Psyduck! Goldeen! Poliwag! Hyah!" said Misty's Pokémon.
"Here comes my Pokémon!" said Jordan.
"Hoothoot! Wartortle! Kanga!" shouted Jordan's Pokémon.
"Come on out, everybody!" said Ash.
"Bulbasaur! Heracross! Squirtle! Chika! Chari!" shouted Ash's Pokémon.
"Yay!" the kids shouted as they ran over to the Pokémon. As they gathered around Jordan's Pokémon, Lizzy remembers what Jordan had said.
"Did you know that when you become a Pokémon trainer, you can give your Pokémon a nickname?" Jordan asked, walking up behind her.
"Really? You can do that?" she asked.
"Yep. Every Pokémon that I've caught, I gave a nickname." Jordan replied as Raven hops over to them. "I gave this little one the nickname, Raven."
"Hoothoot!" said Raven.
"Chika, Chika, Chika, Chika!" Chikorita said as she runs over to Pikachu, glaring at him.
"Pika." Pikachu said, feeling uncomfortable by Chikorita.
"Chika!" she said, being affectionate with Ash.
"Heracross!" said Heracross, going towards Bulbasaur and Tulip.
"Bulba!" shouted Bulbasaur as used Vine Whip on Heracross' hands and body.
"Here we go again." said Jordan, as Raven hops into Lizzy's arms. "Heracross Ketchum!"
"Hera!" it said, stopping in mid drink.
"Did you ask Bulbasaur and Tulip if you can have a Pollen snack?" she asked, crossing her arms.
"Hera…Heracross!" it said, shaking its head no.
"You know better than that." Jordan tells Heracross, walking over and gently smacks its hands.
"Heracross! Heracross!" it said, apologetically to Bulbasaur and Tulip.
"Ivy? Ivysaur?" Tulip asked.
"Hera!" Heracross said, nodding and starts checking for Pollen on Tulip's bulb.
"Goldeen, Goldeen, Gold!" said Goldeen as it and Staryu were in the water.
"Onix!" Onix gently roared as kids were on its body.
"Everybody's having a great time." said Misty.
"Togeprii!" said Togepi.
"I can still remember how happy I was the first I played with a real Pokémon." said Ash.
"Me too." said Jordan.
"Excuse me, Miss Priscilla, but what's that tower over there?" Brock asked, pointing to a building in the distance.
"Oh, that's called the 'Sprout tower'." said Miss Priscilla.
"That's a funny name for a tall building." said Misty.
"I know it may sound a little strange at first, but it actually makes a lot of sense." Miss Priscilla said to Misty. "The tower's supported by one beam that sways back and forth, just like a Bellsprout does."
"Uh, if the beam moves back and forth, how come the whole tower doesn't move?" asked Ash.
"It just so happens that I'm taking my class on a field trip to the tower today, so if you're interested you and your friends can come along and see the Sprout Tower for yourself." she said.
"We'll follow you anywhere, Miss Priscilla." said Brock.
"Hm." said Zackie, staring at Pikachu and Meeko.
"Pika." Pikachu said worriedly as he backs into Meeko.
"Riol." said Meeko, picking Pikachu up and holding him tight against her.
"Hm." Zackie said again. "Come on, Pikachu and Meeko."
"Pi? Riol?"
"Forget about Ash and Jordan, and be my Pokémon." he said.
"Riolu." Meeko said, shaking her head no.
"Pika!" said Pikachu, then turns his head into Meeko.
"What's so great about them anyway?" asked Zackie. "Wouldn't you rather be my Pokémon?"
"Riolu, Olu!" Meeko firmly tells Zackie as she shakes her head no.
"Pika, Pika." Pikachu said in agreement.
"Okay. Then I'm just gonna take the both of ya." said Zackie. Meeko was about to take off with Pikachu in her arms when Zackie tackles her.
"Pika!" squeals Pikachu as he and Meeko were pushed to the ground.
"Riolu!" Meeko tells Pikachu. Sparks flew out of Pikachu's cheeks and finally shocks Zackie.
"Pikachu, quit it!" said Ash, seeing Pikachu shock Zackie and Meeko. "You're hurting Meeko.
"Pi." said Pikachu as Meeko helps him up.
"Are you okay?" Ash asked Zackie.
"Go away!" Zackie said.
"Meeko, are you okay?" Jordan asks.
"Riolu." she said, nodding before glaring at Zackie.
"Anything Jordan and I can do?" questioned Ash.
"Yeah, you and Jordan can let me have your Pikachu and Meeko." said Zackie.
"Ah!" gasped Ash.
"Give me Pikachu and Meeko!" demanded Zackie.
"Now you know Jordan and I can't do that." said Ash.
"I want Pikachu and Meeko! I want Pikachu and Meeko!" cried Zackie, throwing a tantrum.
"Please tell me I wasn't like this." said Jordan.
"You acted like this twice and that was it." said Ash.
"I want Pikachu and Meeko!"
"I'm stumped, Pikachu." Ash said to Pikachu.
"There's no way I'm letting you have Meeko." said Jordan, with Meeko hiding behind Jordan.
"Why not?" Zackie asked, all teary eyed, demanding to know as others gathered around.
"Because I raised Meeko from a Pokémon Egg. That's why you can't have her." said Jordan, bringing Meeko in for a hug.
"Riolu." said Meeko.
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"What do I do now?" asked Ash. Zackie smirks and laughs, getting an idea. He then pushes Ash and Jordan, grabbing an empty Pokéball from the siblings.
"Thanks a lot for the Pokéball, Ashy and Jordan." said Zackie.
"Hey! There's only two people in the world who can call him Ashy!" shouted Jordan, feeling on her person for the missing Pokeball. "I'm one of those people who has that honor!"
"Ah! Aah!" said Ash, seeing both Pokéballs in his hands. "No! Zackie!"
"I'm gonna catch a Pikachu and a Riolu!" Zackie shouted, about to throw both Pokéballs.
"Pika!" Pikachu said, panicking and runs off with Meeko going after him.
"Hey! Pikachu, Meeko, wait!" shouted Zackie, chasing after them.
"Meeko!" screamed Jordan, watching her Pokémon go after her honorary brother.
"Zackie, you're not supposed to leave the playground!" Ash called out after him.
"Little Zackie's so excited about catching a Pokémon." said Miss Priscilla. "I hope he isn't causing a problem."
"Now don't you worry, Miss Priscilla. It's no problem at all. Isn't that right, Ash and Jordan?" asked Brock.
"Well…" said Ash.
"It is a problem for me!" said Jordan, tears threatening to fall from her eyes then turns to Miss Priscilla. "I'm scared that Zackie is going to catch Meeko and take her away from me! I worked hard in raising her."
"Pikachu's gonna be fine and Meeko's gonna come back to Jordan, but Zackie's gonna be disappointed." said Ash when suddenly, Chikorita pulls on Ash's pants leg. "I think Jordan and I better go and look for them."
"Right." said Jordan.
"Everybody, return!" they both said, recalling their Pokémon.
"Chika!" said Chikorita, returning to her Pokéball.
"When you find him, bring him back to the Sprout Tower so he doesn't miss the field trip." said Misty.
"Okay." said Ash and Jordan nodded. "We'll see you over at the tower in a little while, guys."
Both brother and sister ran out the gate and after Zackie, Pikachu and Meeko. In the forest, Pikachu and Meeko were hiding behind a tree. "Pikachu! Meeko!" Zackie called out to them. "Come on out, Pikachu and Meeko. Huh?"
Zackie sees Pikachu's ear sticking out from behind a bush. "Riol? Riolu!" Meeko said to Pikachu, pointing to his ears, causing Zackie to laugh.
"Pokéball, go!" shouted Zackie, throwing both Pokéballs at them.
"Pika! Riol!" Pikachu and Meeko shouted as they ran. Ash and Jordan's Pokéballs hit something and captured a set of something.
"Gotcha!" said Zackie, thinking he captured Meeko and Pikachu.
"Ah!" said Ash.
"No!" whined Jordan.
Both Pokéballs stopped and Zackie picks them both up. "Ah." gasped Zackie, picking up the Pokéballs. "I did it! I did it! I caught a Pikachu and a Riolu!"
"It cant be. It couldn't be!" said Ash.
"Meeko!" cried Jordan.
"Now Pikachu and Meeko are gonna like me better than you and Jordan, Ash!" said Zackie and runs off.
"Come back here!" shouted Ash, chasing him.
"Pikachu and Meeko are not your Pokémon!" screamed Jordan.
Zackie laughs as Ash and Jordan caught up to him. "Drop it." ordered Ash.
"Now!" demanded Jordan.
Suddenly, the ground beneath them broke, causing them to fall into a hole. "It cant be them." said Ash.
"And yet it is them." said Jordan, hearing Jessie's laughter coming above them.
"Oh, yes, it can, so prepare for trouble." said Jessie.
"You fell for our plan, so make it double." said James.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" said Jessie.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight! Fight. Fight." said James.
"This beast is out of sight! Meowth, that's right!" said Meowth.
"Good rhythm, Meowth! Nice dancing, you two!" commented Jordan.
"Thanks, we've learned from the best." said James.
"Not you again!" said Ash.
"Didn't I tell you this trap would work perfectly?" Jessie asked the boys.
"And its so much more economical than our other traps." said James.
"Yeah, for once we aint the ones in the whole." said Meowth.
"Hey, kid, thanks for making this easy by catching Pikachu and its friend for us first!" said James.
"Now, throw that Pokéball up here and we'll get you out, sweetheart." said Jessie.
"But you said we was gonna leave 'em." said Meowth, making Jessie kick him in the head.
"Don't listen to the nasty old Meowth." Jessie tells them.
"I'm not giving you anything." said Zackie.
"I better take that now, Zackie." said Ash, holding out his hand for both Pokéballs.
"No, I'm gonna take care of those bad guys!" he said.
"This ought to be good." said Jordan.
"Okay, Pikachu, hit them with your Thunderbolt attack! Meeko, use your Low Kick! Go!" shouted Zackie. Team Rocket starts screaming, thinking that both Pokéballs had Pikachu and Meeko in them, but what came out was a total surprise.
"Huh?" Team Rocket said, confused at the two Pokémon that came out.
"Teddi…" said a small bear like Pokémon, scratching one of its ears.
"Bellsprout." said Bellsprout, swaying its body from side to side.
"Huh!" said Zackie.
"It's a Bellsprout." said Ash.
"And a new Pokémon." said Jordan.
"I wonder…." said Ash.
"Teddiursa, the little bear Pokémon." said Dexter. "If Teddiursa finds honey, its crescent mark glows. It always licks its paws because they are soaked with honey."
"Huh!" sighed Team Rocket as they looked at Bellsprout and Team Rocket.
"Bellsprout. Teddiursa." both Pokémon said.
"Pikachu and Meeko are sick." said James.
"That's not Pikachu and Meeko." said Jessie.
"Oh." he then said.
"If both the twerp and baby twerp's in trouble, both Pikachu and Meeko will come to the rescue." said Meowth, making Jessie and James laugh sinisterly.
"Help! Please help me, Pikachu. Team Rocket outsmarted me and Jordan again."
"But they're gone now, so help us get out of this here hole." Meowth said into the megaphone that was imitating Ash's voice.
"Meeko! I need you! Please help me!" Jessie said into his megaphone, imitating Jordan's voice.
"Pika-Pik." Pikachu said with Meeko behind him, concerned about Ash and Jordan.
"Here comes Pikachu and Meeko." said Jessie.
"Those phony-voice megaphones really work like a charm." said Meowth.
"Hurry before they come back." said James.
"Okay, guys, get ready." said Meowth.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked, looking down at the hole.
"Riolu…" Meeko said to him, saying that something doesn't feel right.
"Get set." said Jessie as she and the boys held the net.
"Run away, Pikachu! It's a trap." said Ash.
"Meeko, run!" said Jordan.
"Pika! Riol!" they both said.
"Its Team Rocket! Look out!" said Ash.
"Go!" shouted Team Rocket, throwing the net over both Pokémon.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted as he and Meeko jumped out of the way.
"We missed." said James.
"Those twerp siblings always ruin everything!" said Jessie.
"We knew you'd recognized my real voice when you heard it, Pikachu." said Ash. "You always know how Jordan's emotions are, Meeko."
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu, jumping into Ash's arms.
"I'm glad that I have you, Meeko." said Jordan.
"Riolu!" said Meeko, tackling Jordan for a hug.
"Quick, now's our chance to get all four of them!" said Jessie.
"Catch 'em all!" said James.
"Great idea!" said Meowth. "Too bad I forgot to bring the extra net."
"Hey James!" Jordan said.
"Huh!"
"You said to catch 'em all, right? Well, guess what?" said Jordan, staring Meowth down.
"Uh-oh!" said Meowth.
"I gotta catch 'em all!" said Jordan, holding out an empty Pokéball and taunts Meowth, causing her brother to laugh at her antics.
"You will not catch me!" shouted Meowth.
"Get them with your Thunderbolt, Pikachu!" shouted Ash, tossing Pikachu into the air.
"Meeko, use your Vacuum Wave!" shouted Jordan.
"Pika….Chu!" he shouted, sparks flying from his cheeks and used Thunderbolt on Team Rocket.
"Riolu!" she shouted, sending out Vacuum Wave from her paws.
"We're blasting off again!" shouted Team Rocket as they blasted off into the sky.
"One more loss for their team, and one more win for ours." said Ash.
"Pika!" added Pikachu.
"They'll never learn." said Jordan.
"Riol!" said Meeko.
"That was cool." said Zackie.
"Bellsprout." Bellsprout said happily.
"Teddiursa!" said Teddiursa, then runs up to Jordan and Meeko. "Teddi, Teddi, Ursa!"
"You want me to train you?" asked Jordan.
"Ursa!" it said, nodding.
"All right then." said Jordan, then looks over at Zackie. "Hand me the Pokéball that caught Teddiursa."
"Really?" he asked.
"I'll take Teddiursa off your hands, but I'm still not giving you Meeko." she tells him.
"Why not?" Zackie asked.
"Because, Meeko knows me and my emotions. That's why." Jordan explains. "Plus, I raised her from the day she hatched. I'm Meeko's trainer, not you. You need to respect that no means no."
"Ok." said Zackie, then hands over Teddiursa's Pokéball.
"Teddiursa, return." said Jordan and Teddiursa heads back into its Pokéball.
At the tower, Miss Priscilla, Misty, Brock and the kids were taking the tour. "I see what you mean." said Brock as they stood in front of the wooden pendulum. "That beam sways just like a Bellsprout."
"Its really amazing." said Misty.
"Toge." Togepi said in amazement.
Outside, Team Rocket screams as they landed on top of the Bellsprout Tower. "Uh, where are we?" asked James.
"There's another reason why this is called the Sprout Tower." said Miss Priscilla.
"Really? What's that, Miss Priscilla?" asked Brock.
"Lots of trainers who come to Violet City are on their way to the Johto league and they stop here because that swaying beam reminds them of themselves when they were just starting out as Pokémon trainers." she explained.
"I get it." said Misty. "I guess trainers are like sprouts, aren't they?"
"Right." said Miss Priscilla.
"That's a good thing to always keep in mind." said Brock. "No matter how experienced a Pokémon trainer gets, there's always room to grow."
"We both know a certain Pokémon trainer that forgets that sometimes, don't we?" asked Misty, giggling.
"Yeah, but he has his sister to remind him." said Brock. "We'll tell Ash and Jordan all about it as soon as they get here."
Unknown to the group, Team Rocket was listening in. "Hear that?" James asked Jessie and Meowth. "The Twerp and his sister must be on their way over."
"That's right, and Pikachu's with him." said Jessie.
"Don't forget Meeko." said James.
"Yeah, but we'll take care of that, wont we?" asked Meowth and all three of them laughs at their new plan.
On their way back into town, Zackie was disappointed that he didn't capture Pikachu. He finally understood why Meeko didn't want to be caught by him. "Bellsprout?" Bellsprout asked, curious to know about Zackie. "Bellsprout. Bellsprout."
"Hm. Huh!" Zackie said, turning his head away from Bellsprout.
"Bellsprout." it said, doing the same thing.
"Huh? Quit copying me!" said Zackie, annoyed with Bellsprout.
"Bellsprout!" Bellsprout said in shock, then gets upset. "Bellsprout, Bellsprout."
"Zackie, I know you caught your Bellsprout by accident but don't you think you ought to try to make the best of it?" asked Ash.
"I wanted Pikachu, not some wobbly little Bellsprout." whined Zackie.
"Well, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit." said Jordan with her hands behind her head.
"Jordan…" Ash warned her.
"What? He should be happy that he caught a Bellsprout and not Pikachu." Jordan tells him. "Besides, you and I both know how Pikachu feels about a certain little thing."
Ash sighed, then turns to Zackie. "I think its kind of nice." he said to Zackie.
"I want Pikachu!" shouted Zackie.
"Stop it! My brother told you no!" shouted Jordan.
"But I want Pikachu!" screamed Zackie.
"Well guess what?! Pikachu is Ash's Pokémon, not yours!" screamed Jordan, then pushed Zackie back. "Were you the one who trained extremely hard with Pikachu? No, Ash did! Pikachu is not your Pokémon! You want a Pikachu so badly? Then go to Pallet Town in the Kanto region and talk to Professor Samuel Oak about it! Why? Because he's the one who gave Ash his Pikachu!"
"RIOLU!" screamed Meeko, grabbing Zackie by his collar and brought him close to her face. "Rio, Riol! Olu, Olu!"
"You can't have a Pokémon that already belongs to someone else!" said Jordan. "So stop complaining, stop whining and don't throw a temper tantrum!"
"I know and Jordan's right." said Ash as Jordan glared at Zackie.
"Pika." Pikachu said, worriedly.
"Bellsprout, I'm sorry that I got upset with your trainer." Jordan said, taking its hands into hers. "He's been trying to get my brother's Pikachu since we've met him."
"Bellsprout, Bell, Bellsprout." Bellsprout tells her, knowing that she had every right to be mad at its trainer.
"Riolu, Riol, Riol, Riolu." Meeko said to Bellsprout.
Back at the Sprout Tower, Team Rocket went ahead with their plan. "Okay. First, we got to get out of here." said Meowth.
"Just leave it to me." said James. "Go, Weezing!"
"Weezing!"
"Smoke them out with your Smoke Screen, Weezing." said James.
"Weez…" said Weezing, releasing Smoke Screen from its mouths.
"Hmm." said Misty, hearing something coming from above them. "There's smoke coming from upstairs!"
"There must be a fire." said Miss Priscilla.
"Quick!" said Brock.
"We've got to round up the children and get them out of here right away!" Miss Priscilla said.
"Right!" said Brock.
"Stay down low, so you don't breathe in the smoke." Misty instructed the children as she leads them out of the tower.
"Okay everybody! Just keep moving." said Brock. "Don't worry, we'll be out in just a second."
"Hey, I know." Zackie said to Ash. "How about if I trade my Bellsprout for your Pikachu?"
"No way!" said Ash.
"No means no, Zackie." said Jordan and Zackie puts on the waterworks.
"Come on, Zackie, Bellsprout could be really fun." Ash tells him.
"Bellsprout, Bellsprout." said Bellsprout, playing and making a dance for Zackie.
Jordan and Meeko starts giggling. "Your dance is really awesome, Bellsprout." said Jordan.
"Olu!" added Meeko.
"Bellsprout!" Bellsprout said, smiling at the two. Zackie starts to smile and laugh at what Bellsprout was doing.
"Pika!" Pikachu said, jumping onto Ash's shoulder. "Pikachu!"
"Uh! Oh, no!" said Ash as he, Zackie and Jordan see smoke come out of the Sprout Tower.
"The Sprout Tower's on fire!" exclaimed Zackie.
"Lets go!" said Ash.
"Right, Ash! Riolu!" said Jordan and Meeko.
"Wait for me!" said Zackie.
"Bellsprout! Bell!" added Bellsprout.
Misty, Brock and the others ran out of Spout Tower. "Misty, Brock, what's going on? Are all the kids okay?" Ash asked, running up to them with Jordan and Zackie in tow.
"Yeah, we're all fine." said Misty.
"I choose you, Squirtle!" shouted Ash.
"I choose you, Squirt!" shouted Jordan.
"Squirtle! Wartortle!"
"Poliwag, I choose you!" shouted Misty.
"Poli!" squealed Poliwag.
"Use Water Gun!" said Ash, Misty and Jordan.
"Squirt! Poli! Wartort!" said the three-water type Pokémon, aiming their water guns at Sprout Tower.
"Hey, Ash, Jordan, I don't think this is just a regular fire." said Brock.
"Brock's right. The water isn't helping!" said Misty. "Poliwag, return!"
"Look up there on that balcony!" said Ash as the smoke starts to clear.
"You've heard the expression, 'Where there's smoke, there's fire'." said Jessie.
"Well, fire's no match for our Weezing." said James.
"Its smoking." said Meowth.
"Sat through the motto?" Brock asked Jordan.
"Yep." she replied.
"What are you doing in there?" asked Ash.
"The Sprout Tower is closed for renovations but why don't you Twerps see what we've done with the place?" asked Jessie.
"We got somethin' inside that'll send you into the stratosphere." laughed Meowth. Inside the tower, Arbok, Weezing and Lickitung were cutting off the pendulum that was now strapped to a rocket.
"Oh no!" gasped Misty.
"Knock it off!" said Ash, only to have Jessie laugh at him.
"Our Pokémon love a nice piece of timber." she said.
"Yeah, and when they get done sawin' it, I'll send the whole joint into orbit." said Meowth with the remote in his hand.
"No, you cant." said Miss Priscilla. "This tower's very important to our Pokémon students."
"If you want to save the tower, all you have to do is hand over Pikachu and Meeko." said Jessie.
"Forget it!" said Ash.
"We will never hand over Pikachu and Meeko!" shouted Jordan.
"Then you can say goodbye to this tower." said Meowth.
"Pik…Pikachu." Pikachu said.
"Riolu." said Meeko.
"Pikachu." said Ash.
"Meeko." added Jordan.
"Pika." Pikachu said to Ash and Jordan, saying that he and Meeko had a plan as they both walked over to Team Rocket.
"I'm shocked at how easily you gave up." Jessie said as she picks up Pikachu and looks at Meeko.
"Chu!" shouted Pikachu, using thunderbolt on Jessie, not seeing that she had on rubber gloves.
"We assumed you'd try an attack like that so we all came prepared with boots and gloves that are insulated against electricity." said Jessie. "We even have extra padding if Meeko ever hits us."
"They block the shock and we won't get bruised." said Meowth.
"We lassoed a Pikachu and Riolu! We lassoed a Pikachu and Riolu!" said James, wrapping rope around the two.
"After all this time we've finally gotten what we've been chasing you for." said Jessie.
"This is why we didn't want to give you Pikachu and Meeko, Zackie." said Jordan, causing him to look up. "If you had captured them, you would have been as bad as Team Rocket."
"Oh…" said Zackie.
"So goodbye, Twerps, and good riddance to you." said Jessie.
"We got to stop them." said Zackie.
"Don't ya think we know that, Zackie?" Ask asked. "But how? Maybe I can…"
"Don't try it." said Meowth, seeing Ash reach for one of his Pokéballs. "One false move and kablooey. No wonder you hand out in this tower. You're just a little sprout yourself."
"There's nothing wrong with being a sprout." said Ash. "Everything that grows has to start out small."
"That's right." said Zackie.
"I'm proud to be a sprout!" shouted Jordan.
"Bellsprout." Bellsprout pleaded with Zackie, wanting to battle against Team Rocket. "Bellsprout."
"You think so?" asked Zackie. "Okay. Bellsprout, use Razor Leaf attack now!"
"Sprout!" shouted Bellsprout, using Razor Leaf on Team Rocket. As the others gasped, Bellsprout's attack knocks the remote out of Meowth's hand.
"It worked! Good job, Bellsprout!" praised Zackie.
"Quick, Arbok!" said Jessie. "Make sure they don't get their hands on that remote control."
"Cha!" shouted Arbok
"Squirtle, stop it with your Water Gun." said Ash, as Squirtle releases its water on Arbok.
"Cha!" it said, as the remote was knocked out of its mouth.
"Bulbasaur, grab that remote with your Vine Whip." said Ash.
"Bulbasaur!" shouted Bulbasaur, grabbing the remote with its vines.
"Great!" said Ash. Lickitung and Weezing were almost through cutting the pendulum of the tower.
"What's taking you so long?" James asked. "Hurry!"
"Go Bellsprout, Razor Leaf now!" said Zackie.
"Bell! Sprout!" shouted Bellsprout, firing Razor Leaf on Weezing and Lickitung.
"Weezing, return!" James said.
"Arbok, Lickitung, back to your Pokéballs." said Jessie. "Meowth, what are we going to do now?"
"We'll use the rocket to get away!" he tells her and all three of them hopped onto the rocket with Pikachu and Meeko in tow. "Luckily we can use the manual override. Power on."
Soon as Meowth pressed the button, the rocket activates and starts to take off. "This will be the perfect getaway." said Meowth.
"Ha-ha! This missile was our best idea ever!" said Jessie.
"The space program has benefits after all." said James.
"Do something, Ash! Jordan!" Misty called out.
"What do you expect me to do, Misty?" Jordan asked. "You know I sent Tulip to Professor Oak!"
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." sighed Misty.
"Quick, Bulbasaur, use your Razor Leaf Attack to get Pikachu and Meeko away from Team Rocket!" said Ash.
"You too, Bellsprout!" said Zackie.
"Bulbasaur!"
"Bellsprout!"
Both Razor Leaf attacks cuts the rope, freeing Meeko and Pikachu, causing Meowth and James to gasp. "Pika! Riolu!"
"We got ya!" said Ash and Jordan, catching them in their arms.
"Bellsprout!" shouted Bellsprout as it and Bulbasaur kept going with Razor Leaf.
"What are you doing?" asked a distressed Jessie.
"Cut it out." Meowth demanded. Soon enough, Razor Leaf cuts through the rope, causing Team Rocket to scream in fear. The pendulum lands back down and the rocket takes off with Team Rocket still on it.
"Stop this thing!" Jessie said.
"I would if I could!" said Meowth as the rocket takes them out of the tower.
"That beam's pretty shaky." said Ash.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu.
"Yeah, but strong!" said Zackie.
"Bellsprout…" Bellsprout said, worried at first. "Bellsprout."
The shaking continued until it finally started to slow down. "Bellsprout." said Bellsprout, relieved that the shaking had stopped.
"Uh, you were great, Zackie." said Ash.
"Thanks." he said, then hugs Bellsprout. "But the real hero's my new Bellsprout."
"Bellsprout." said Bellsprout, now embarrassed by its trainer.
Up in the sky, Team Rocket was flying away. "Ah, this is absolutely lovely." said James.
"You said it." said Meowth.
"Well, they don't call us Team Rocket for nothing you know." said Jessie.
"I could go on like this forever." said James.
"Team Rocket blasting off again!" they shouted as the rocket finally exploded.
"And so, future Pokémon trainers, I wish you…." Ash was saying to the kids as the quartet prepared to head towards the Violet Gym. "Come to think of it, I'm not sure what I wish for you except good luck and great Pokémon."
"And I hope you have good luck in the Johto League." said Zackie.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu, smiling.
"From me, I want you guys to promise me to be kind to your Pokémon and never, ever steal Pokémon from other trainers." Jordan said, looking directly at Zackie, who blushed.
"Riolu." Meeko said in agreement.
"Before you go, may I hug Meeko?" asked Zackie.
"That's up to her." said Jordan.
"Riol." said Meeko, hugging Zackie.
"I don't to ever say goodbye, Miss Priscilla." said Brock, taking her hands. "I just want to stay here at the school."
"Well, if you'd like to stay here, you certainly may." said Miss Priscilla.
"I can stay and teach Pokémon with you?" asked Brock with hope in his voice.
"No, but just fill out this application and you can teach dance with me!" said Dervish with an application in his hand. "La-la-la! One and two and three and four."
"Thanks anyway!" said Brock, backing away.
"Good choice, Brock." said Jordan.
"You sidestepped that nicely." said Misty.
"Toge, Togeprii!" added Togepi.
"Hey, Ash, Jordan, if we train hard do you think I can make my Bellsprout evolve into a Weepinbell and then into a Victreebel?" asked Zackie.
"Hmm. And maybe someday we can battle each other." said Ash.
"Yep." said Jordan.
"Great." said Zackie.
"Bellsprout!" said Bellsprout.
"Goodbye, everybody!" said Misty.
"Take care." said Ash and Jordan.
Narrator: Ash and Jordan may have taught the kids at the Pokémon Academy a thing or two, but the important lesson everyone learned was this sometimes, little sprouts can stand very, very tall.
Jordan: I agree.
Narrator: By the way, Jordan, did you ever get that brochure?
Jordan: I did. If Ash and I had been born in the Johto region, we could have gone to the Pokémon Academy. It's way cheaper than Pokémon Tech.
Narrator: No way!
Meeko, handing the brochure to the Narrator: Riolu, Olu!
Narrator, looking at the price: Wow! You weren't kidding.
