Klonoa finds himself tossing and turning, he couldn't seem to get to sleep. His mind was going through all that's happened, even after learning about his brother's adventure. He couldn't stop replaying that moment, where Aero was lied to, and how he thought about Huepow. The difference was that at least what Huepow was doing wasn't anything where he would betray.
But there was also when he thought about all he had went through, including Lunatea. How he did what he could to help Lolo and those of the other kingdoms. But when he entered the lost kingdom of Huponia, he felt all those repressed emotions come back, yet had to remain strong, even though he nearly had fallen a few times. When he faced the king of sorrow, to him it was like he was facing a mirror version of himself. And how it almost felt as if he would've given in, yet through his determination and strong heart, he was able to defeat, and even help set peace to not only with the king, but himself. It really did make him feel the different emotions, and yet he never let anyone know what was bothering him, and became distant. He wondered if this adventure through Wonderworld will help him finally have some peace. Klonoa felt his eyes grow heavy, a yawn came out as the cabbit fell felt himself relax, as he closed his eyes, and would be embraced by the land of dreams.

When Klonoa woke, he realized he wasn't in the theater. Rather it was a dark place and no other beings were around. Klonoa was alone, as he tried calling out, yet no one answered back. He then noticed something strange, there was what looked like a figure laying on the ground, in a pile of some strange liquid. He went over and could see what looks like Huepow in his humanoid form, however he looked pale, almost like that of a ghost white, and what looks to be some strange black liquid spewing out of the eyes, mouth and gashes. There was what appeared to be crude writing across his body, they seem to spell out somethings. LIAR, MANIPULATOR, TRAITOR, SPOILED BRAT. Klonoa couldn't believe what he was seeing, he tried to shake the prince, tried to get any response, yet nothing came. He then hears what could be the sound of a familiar, eerie, dark laugh. The air around suddenly felt cold and heavy, Klonoa had his ring out and kept his guard up. He could feel a presents close by, it was strong, almost like sharp nails were digging into his shoulders. He quickly turned to face it, yet there was no one. His mind must be playing tricks, yet his gut instincts say otherwise. He could hear someone whispering into his ear, that feeling of dread came over, as anxiety was starting to take control.

"Your doubts and pain still remain. Your guilt still holds a grip on you're heart. All was cause by the one you once called your friend. Poor little dream traveler, a naïve child, believing the person they thought who they were, only to be used as a tool. Never given a choice, nor a say in what is right, and what is wrong."

The cabbit was frozen in place, it was if something was keeping him there. And the more he listened, it made him feel sick. And looking back, yes he did save Phantomile within the dream world. Since the kingdom exists there, and yet part of him felt that he could've done something different, if he had only not listen to Huepow. But who they were facing, wasn't sure if he could've done much to help them. . .

"Hear this child of dreams. it is only what your heart truly believes. Only you can decide on what is right, by your choice."

Klonoa: Why are you telling me this? Just who are you?!

He demanded to know, but the voice only gave a vague answer.

"I am what lingers within your mind, the shadow of your guilt and anger. One who wishes to simply see if you truly are the dream traveler who had defeated such an "evil monster" long ago."

Klonoa: Evil monster? Theres no way you're Nahatomb, I defeated him with everyone's help!

"Oh you are more close to the truth then you believe child. For now this strange dream will end, but do remember this. This is far from over, and those who you know and love will also suffer. Head this warning, the king will test your will power, and to see how strong your heart truly is. Farewell."

As Klonoa turns to look, he could only faintly make out a tall and slender figure. Their face appears to be covered up by some strange mask. He wasn't sure why, but a name escaped him. In fact Klonoa didn't understand who it was, but part of him felt guilty for some reason. It was then that dark water began to surround him, as Klonoa tried to flee. Yet the waves were too much, and thus dragged him beneath. He was struggling to breath, he could not move, he felt himself blacking out.
When Klonoa opened his eyes, he found himself in his bed within the theater. He was panting as cold sweat began to form. He checked to make sure he was alright, thankfully nothing seems to be out of place. He looked over at the clock, yes the theater exists within it's own dimension and runs on different rules. Klonoa was told about this from Balan while they were within the sky stage. It looked to be 6 in the morning, and the sun could briefly be seen peaking through. He gets up and goes to the washroom to fix up his fur, once he looks into the mirror, Klonoa could see just how frighten he was. His eyes looked to be having some night rings and his fur looked to be as if it was damped. He decided he would groom himself before joining for breakfast. He didn't want others to worry about him, not after what he had just witnessed. He was still confused but felt it doesn't feel right to tell anything at the moment. It was when Klonoa thought about what the voice said, that made him puzzled.

Klonoa: If only there was another way. I could've done something, , ,but, , ,can a nightmare even dream? Was I really doing the right thing? And just, , ,who was that talking to me? Why do they feel, , ,familiar?

He tries to think, only for his memory to become foggy, perhaps it's something that Aero went through. He then put on his clothing and makes his way to the dining area. He didn't notice the Tims were with him, mostly due to him lost in thought, and surly they will be sure to let the maestro know as to what happened.
If there was something Klonoa didn't want to do, was have his mind being read by the maestro, giving how nosey he can be at times. It's not like Balan does it to be a nuisance, rather a way to help him understand what could be wrong with the guests. Klonoa would rather keep it to himself, as right now his brother was his main priority. When Klonoa does make it, he noticed that Guntz was already there and drinking a coffee. But his hair was down. It looks like he was still waking up from last night. The wolf seems to greet in his slight groggy tone.

Guntz: You sure look like you had a rough night.

Klonoa: Well a lot happened yesterday. So I guess you could say I didn't really sleep all too good. . . Where's Balan?

Guntz: Not sure, one of the staff told me that he's busy with something. But said he should meet with us later. Also apparently we're having pancakes.

Klonoa: Wahoo! I love pancakes!

The wolf couldn't help but chuckle at how much a kid Klonoa is, but not in a bad way. It shows that despite what they went through, Klonoa can still enjoy something innocent and be at ease. While the two were enjoying the food, some of the residents from the restaurant showed up. And they seemed to want to make conversation with the duo.

Dainty Dragon: Hey there! You guys really stopped that threat!

: Indeed you have and it's great to see things return to normal!

Klonoa: Oh its you guys from the inn! Didn't think we see you again.

Guntz: And arnt there like many of you?

Dainty Dragon: Well yes, but sometimes guests who come here would call us by a different nickname and even give us some small items to help them keep track.

: And one of the guests would sometimes call them by another character's name. Which I find rather sweet.

Klonoa: Hey uh I was thinking, is that sort of eating contest still happening?

Dainty Dragon: Yes, though there's been a miner set back. Apparently some creature came out of nowhere and started eating what was to be for the competition. Yet no one could tell what it was.

Guntz: That's strange, could it have been a negati or something?

: Oh it most likely was! And my can they really get rude with causing trouble as something as putting an eating contest on hold!

Dainty Dragon: Uh yeah what he said.

Klonoa: Well if we can somehow stop the problem. Then maybe it can continue.

Guntz: Only issue, we have no idea where the hell it is. Best thing to do is look for clues and some leads. Who knows, we may just get something. . .My question is, if Aero's back to normal, then how could there be a big boss negati roaming around?

Klonoa: Hey yeah that is a pretty good question. Hmm I don't have anything.

Dainty Dragon: We can ask the maestro about it. He might have a good idea as to what's going on.

: Normally a negati boss that's associated with the visitor, usually is the one that's causing them to remain in the state they're in. . .Yet Twister Leaper seems to have been his own negati boss. Which is pretty uniqe, with all consistence.

That seemed to clear somethings up, but this just made Klonoa even more worried. What if something happened during the moment the heart was placed back. All he can do was hope that Aero would wake soon. Once they were finished eating, they went to go see any changes with the cabbit teen. Only to see Balan was sitting while also holding Aero in his arms, almost in a sense of comfort and secure. He had a look of slight sadness on his face, while gently stroking the boy's head. From what it looks like, they could see Aero was breathing normally. It was then that he noticed them.

Balan: Oh good morning you two. I do hope you slept well.

Klonoa: Balan has anything happen with Aero yet?

Balan: I came here after checking in with somethings. I felt that he needed some company. And from what I can sense, his breathing is normal. And I haven't sense any negativity within his heart.

Klonoa: So does that mean he's in the clear? That's a relief.

Guntz: Glad to know that, I would've hated to see that all we did, it still wouldn't have been enough.

Both came close, and seeing just how undisturbed he was. in fact they could hear what sounds like purring.

Klonoa: He looks so peaceful. I wonder what he could be dreaming of.

Guntz: I'm surprised he didn't appear injured when he changed back. Whatever that Lance guy was trying to do. Next time I see him. . .it won't be pretty.

They know how the wolf was feeling. He was trying to keep it together, but inside, he was furious with vengeance. But the maestro tries to reassure him.

Balan: It would not be a random occurrence that would accumulate that form.

Guntz: What are you trying to say mad hatter?

Balan: It was a traumatic moment that he was reminded of, causing that negativity to swarm and transform him in such a manner that he forgot who he was. We were lucky to have stopped him. I know that's not the cause.

Klonoa: Could it be related to what happened to him? I know Aero is stronger now, but I sometimes wish, he could tell me. But I can understand why he doesn't like brining up things from the past.

The wolf fell silent for a bit. He looked guilty, seeing his friend like this, his brother, the one who's always helped him out, and one who balanced his additude. Guntz felt the pain in his stomach, and ache in his heart.

Guntz:. . .If only, I hadn't pushed him away before. Things wouldn't have gotten like this.

Klonoa: Guntz what are you saying?

This caught the Maestro's attention as well and he listened. They knew bits of what their history was. It seems that Guntz was willing to open up to them, giving how he doesn't have a reason to hide it now.

Guntz: It ain't a pretty story, I'll tell you that much.

Klonoa: But we want to know. Maybe it might help clear somethings up for you.

Balan: I agree, this will do you both better. And we will be there to support you incase you need it. You aren't alone anymore Guntz, you have people who care.

Hearing this and knowing that the maestro was in fact trustworthy. Guntz felt relieved, and lets out a sigh. He knew it was going to be a lot, but after what they went through, it wouldn't hurt to let his guard down.

Guntz: It happened when my father was killed. By his once partner, a man with poison sharp nails. I was only 6 when it happened, they went to the ruins to do some exploration, I was told to stay home. When I learned from the police, I was lost, upset, but most of all angry. So angry that I vowed to become strong enough, so I would be able to track them down, and take my vengeance. Aero who was staying a few days, he tried helping me calm down, tried telling that he wasn't going to leave me alone, how we can go to Breezegale. . .But I wasn't thinking straight. I yelled at him, told him that I didn't want to be friends anymore. . .I was just, so angry that I became blinded by revenge.

Both were shocked by this, no wonder the wolf was how he is. But they continued to listen.

Guntz: He didn't seem mad with me, but told me that if we were to meet again, we could reconnect. And a part of me hoped for that day to come. . .So for the past few years, I came to Breezegale, and now you know the rest from there.

Balan: Oh dear I am deeply sorry that has happened to you. And at such a young age too! No child should ever have to go through with losing someone whom they love and they are taken care of.

Klonoa: Guntz, , ,I can understand why you wanted to save Aero. And hearing the reason, it shows you're not a bad guy at all. . .

Guntz: When I learned he had a brother, and seeing how much you are like him. I couldn't let him down again.

Klonoa: Why did you really not want him to go with you?

Guntz: I guess I was just scared, scared on losing someone who I see as family. He's not only been my best friend, but also my brother. Even my father saw him as like one of his own. So the thought in losing him when my mind became clear, I just didn't want to take that chance. Hence I had been the loan wolf Golden Killer. . .

After that, the wolf looked like he was trying to hold back tears. Keeping something like this for so long it must've weighed him down pretty hard. Balan reached a hand out to him, placing it on his shoulder.

Balan: A wound must bleed first before it can heal. Pain may not be pleasant, but it is something one must feel in order for that recovery to commence once again. Tears and feeling sorrow does not make one a lesser man.

Guntz: I was never good when it came to expressing to others. In fact I mostly did things on my own. I was forced to grow up after that day. . .I didn't seek any help, nor did anyone try to help me. I was on my own, , ,was placed into foster care, till I escaped.

Klonoa: Huh I guess that would explain why you would have some slight anger problems.

Guntz: I do not have anger issues! If anything I keep them under control!

It was then that he bonked Klonoa in the head, causing the cabbit boy to back away.

Klonoa: Menya!

Balan: Hey that is not how you handle your problems!

Guntz seemed to take a moment before realizing what he did, and felt terrible.

Guntz: Shit Klonoa! I-i'm sorry man I didn't know what came over me!

Klonoa: Urk! I-it's fine, I'm use to getting that kind of treatment from others. But i'm tougher then I look. And that me and Aero would sometimes play rough and train.

He gave the wolf a rather innocent smile, both Balan and Guntz were confused, clearly this kid must have tolerance for being beaten up.

Balan: Being a dream traveler must've strengthen your resistance to pain.

Guntz: And here I thought Aero was a tough skin guy. Guess it runs in the family.

Klonoa: Heh heh yeah, it does come with it's perks. Though I'll admit Guntz, you sure are strong even without your weapons.

Guntz: I went through a ton of training when I was 10, you eat your proteins and veggies, and you may get as strong as me.

Klonoa: Dude you're literally a wolf, you clearly have a different built.

Thinking for a bit, the dream traveler had been puzzled, and giving what Balan told him. That those who go through some sort of trauma, they would be able to come to Wonderworld. That's when it hit Klonoa, what if catching Aero was ether a mistake on Lance's part, or he wanted Guntz to express it.

Klonoa: Hey Guntz, when you and Aero were coming. What if instead of Aero he wanted to catch, what if it was you.

The wolf paused for a moment, then thinking back, it must've been clear that the dark maestro, the shadow, was indeed trying to catch him, how he surrounded and attempted to take him into the darkness, but only caught Aero due to him making the sacrifice so the wolf could escape. Balan realized it as well.

Balan: I see. This must be the first time he has made such a mistake, when it is your heart who's shard you unwed to retake.

Guntz: So if Aero was the wrong one. What does that make me?

Klonoa: I'm not sure, but we won't let Lance get you!

Balan: Not if a piece of your heart can still be found.

Klonoa: But how do we know where to look? I haven't seen one appear.

Guntz: A door appeared when I came in, can it work even if Lance didn't get me?

Balan: Of course it can. Anyone who ends up here, they create a stage that reflects their hearts, desires and dreams. Wonderworld allows it, both the positive and the negative parts of one's heart.

Guntz looked at Aero who was remaining on Balan's lap, resting peacefully. He knew he didn't deserved what happened. The wolf had decided to go for a stroll, he wasn't yet ready to go. Klonoa lets him go clear his mind while he stayed with Aero. But there was that one thought, when he tried creating his own stage, yet nothing came from it. He wonders if his own heart was also going through what Guntz was. He can worry about that later, right now he would stay with the maestro and his brother.
