Y2K-Y2J-Y2K23 or Whatever
It was New Years Eve 2023 and everybody's ready for a new year of 2024, hoping for the end of wars, price jacking inflations, the eradication of the coronavirus and no more carriage disputes.
"Only a few minutes left til' midnight." Sarah said,
"Yeah and I finally started the 2FA's. I finally got the hang of it. And done. Now my accounts are protected." I said as I put the code to one of my accounts,
"I can't wait to have the first 2024 baby." Sarah said, we're soon to have our 3rd child coming, as we continue to watch the New Years Eve Celebration hosted by Ryan Seacrest,
Meanwhile
The cyber team makes a quick check on everything before the New Year hits,
"Okay, everything is up and running here." said one of the cyber team, then there beeps sounded off,
"Wait a minute. Area 51 hasn't been updated." said another cyber team,
"What? Didn't George Emerson updated his station last week?" ask the head cyber team,
"No. He's hospitalized a few days ago with a broken foot and he lost his laptop in the process." answered the first cyber team,
"Then the New Year is a waste. Everything will be out of order." said the head cyber team.
"We're counting down in less 30 seconds to a New Year." Ryan Seacrest said,
"This is it baby. Time for a better year." I said,
"And for our newest addition to the family." Sarah said,
"Come on kids huddle up." I called Hinata and Cameron to join us,
"Here we go!" the kids exclaimed,
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3…
"Goodbye 2023 and Hello…" I said anticipating the New Year,
"1- Happy New…wha…?" as everyone on TV was about to celebrate the New Year, perplexingly, the year went from 2023 to 2000, no to 1903, then 9287, seems the year counter got bugged,
"Oh my goodness. This is like Y2K folks, but this is just weird, seems the counter has been bugged out,
"Hey what the hell?" I exclaimed,
"What year is it?" Hinata asked,
"The New Year isn't going forward. I was looking forward for 2023 to end and now either we're stuck or year is turning back…either way." I said, then Sarah started groaning,
"Sarah! Honey are you alright?" I asked,
"The baby…is kicking ferociously…"Sarah answered as she winced in pain, the baby's kicking because the New Year hasn't gone forward so it's stuck inside Sarah for the time being,
Without the New Year, noting is going forward. So the baby is stuck inside you Sarah." I said,
"Damn…" Sarah muttered in pain,
Later, there was news that bug infecting the counter was actually a computer virus in disguise by a hacker that broke the 2FA and cause everybody's accounts to go haywire,
"See. That's why I said before 2FA's does more harm than good. I knew shouldn't have started it. Stupid pieces of crap!" I said angrily and threw popcorn at the TV screen,
"'yawn' Well we gotta go to bed. I've reached my limit." Hinata yawned and went off to bed,
"Good night." Cameron yawned following Hinata,
"GM' night kids." Sarah said,
The Next Morning
I was sleeping on the couch while Sarah sleeps in bed, still agonizing over the baby kicking excessively inside her, she got up and puts on a red soft robe, she was about to pour a pot of coffee until somebody knocks on the door, she went to answer the door, it was Aki, Michael, Marlena, Stacey, Aaloka, Pia and Professor Lewis at the door,
"Sarah, did you hear last night about the hacker releasing a bug during the New Year Celebration?" Aki asked,
"Yeah we watched it last night." Sarah yawned,
"Sweet you look like you haven't been sleeping well Sarah." Aaloka said,
"Having trouble sleeping?" Marlena asked,
"My baby's been kicking me since that bug ruined the New Year. The baby's putting me through pain since." Sarah explained and wincing as the baby's kicking resumes,
"See?"
"Oh my. Come on sweetie, let's get you back to bed." Stacey said as she wraps her arms around her,
"No no, just let me sit down on my chair, please come in guys." Sarah said still writhing in pain and everyone else went inside the house, they noticed that I was sleeping on the couch,
"He didn't sleep with you?" Aki asked,
"He wanted to watch classic Hockey Night In Canada games to ease himself." Sarah said,
"I'll wake him up." Aaloka said, then she starts blowing into my ear, but I turned,
"That usually works on Cedric." Aaloka said,
"Oh please, let your husband do the work." Professor Lewis said, he lifted his suit case and drops it on my side boy that did woke me up,
Oof!
"Wake up ya man of the house." he said,
"Professor? Why are you in my house?" I yawned,
"We just came over about the bug problem last night." Professor Lewis said,
"Oh yeah, you saw last night?" I asked,
"Indeed we have." he said,
"When we all saw it last night. I just recently found a program to help rid of the bug worldwide to end all the confusion." Marlena said as she boots up her laptop,
"Okay, so what program is it?" I asked,
"You'll be surprised when I show you." Marlena said,
"Well, show us then." Aki said,
"This." Marlena said as she shows the program in the app store called "Y2J Debug Cleanser" and it was created by none other than Y2J himself, Chris Jericho,
"Huh. I didn't know Jericho created an app." I said,
"Isn't Jericho still working for AEW? Stacey asked,
"AH!" I exclaimed,
"What's with him?" Stacey asked,
"He hates AEW." Sarah answered,
"Why's that?" Aki asked,
"Because, I attempted to check it our one day until the inaugural PPV even when Cody Rhodes did the unacceptable jabbing at WWE. That's why I'm pro WWE." I explained as I cringe,
"What did he do?" Aaloka asked,
"Can we not talk about this and get to the thing?" I retorted,
"Okay then. Now not only it fixes all bugs, but it can destroy and protect hardwares from viruses, malware, scareware, ransomware and so on." Marlena explained, then she finished downloading the program and install it, then suddenly a pop up window comes and shows Chris Jericho's face,
"Hello. I'm Chris Jericho and welcome to 'Y2J Debug Cleanser' and also thank you for installing my program. Now what can 'Y2J Debug Cleanser' do for you? You may choose the categories: Debugging, Scan for Viruses, Scan for Malwares, Protection Upgrade or Other"
"Does the New Year Counter count as other?" Marlena asked,
"Well I think so. Won't hurt to try." Professor Lewis said, Marlena clicked on Other, then it said "Type in reason", then she typed in New Year Counter bug in New York City,
"Okay you selected Other and typed in New York Counter bug in New York. In order to do this I need one of you to jump into my program with with a hand held device provided for you." then a hand held device appears from the the light from Marlena's laptop that looks like a long TV remote,
"I volunteer to go." I offered as I picked up the device and pressed one of the buttons and zapped into Y2J's program, I became digital,
"Whoa. It looks like I'm in the digital world. Like in Digimon." I said, then there's Chris Jericho right before my very eyes,
"Thank you for volunteering to help out the cause."
"No problem and I like to say I'm a big fan since WCW." I said,
"Good for you man. Now shall we get to work?" asked Chris,
"Yes."
"Okay then, destination New York, NY, New Year Counter." Chris typed in the destination,
"So how long we're gonna get to New York?" I asked,
"Right about…"
ZOOM
"Now." we transported so fast in like 2.235 seconds to New York,
"Wow. Who needs public transportation when you get to your destination that fast?" I said, then Chris runs a scan for a bug around the counter, then it beeps rapidly,
"Hmm…that interesting." he said,
"What is it?" I asked,
"It's more than a bug, we're up against a hack made virus that not only cause the counter to bug out, but to other issues worldwide like breaking into 2FA." Chris said,
"So it's a cybersecurity threat?" I asked,
"Most likely." Chris answered, then we looked for the threat that causes the problem until a few moments later, we found the threat, a virus that looked like a huge Sasquatch like monster, but more slimy than hairy that's been eating and corrupting the data not just from the counter, but to data everywhere,
"Whoa. This is a level 8 virus." Chris said,
"Level 8? Why is that level 8?" I asked,
"We have a threat scale of 1-10 on each viruses, bugs, malware and so on." Chris explained,
"So level 8 is…bad right?"
"Very bad. Luckily that isn't level 10 which is most dangerous." Chris said,
"Yeah." I agreed,
"Now, let's kick that bug ass down."
"I'm with ya Jericho." I said, we charged at the virus while it's guard was down by chowing down data, Chris Jericho elbowed the the back of the virus and it took quick notice,
"Come on ya buggy eyed ass clown!" Chris exclaimed, I just laughed,
"Ya know, because of you I called PK Subban the same thing when played for Montreal."
"Don't just stand there man, help me out here." Chris advised,
"Oh yeah." I realized I to have to fight that monster off, I kicked it in the shin, while it lost it's footing, Chris put the virus into an arm bar, while I stomped on it's back 3 times, but then it regained it's strength to fight back, so it clotheslined us down, jumps on Chris, left me up and throws me down on Chris,
Ooof…
"Dang man." I said, then I looked up, it climbed up the panel and I know what's it gonna do,
"Jericho, he's gonna jump us." I whispered to him,
"Then let's dodge right now." he whispered back, so it went way up high enough to crush us, it jumped off and then,
"NOW!" I exclaimed, I got from of Chris and dodged out of the way in time and the virus landed belly flopped,
In the real world, everybody was waiting patiently for us to get the job done,
"Is your dad gonna okay?" Pia asked,
"I wouldn't worry. He's a tough man." Cameron answered,
"You said it, nothing can get him down and out easily." Hinata agreed,
"I wonder how long it's gonna take?" Sarah asked,
"Hopefully not to long now." Marlena said,
Back in digital world, Chris Jericho puts the virus into one of his submission move 'Walls Of Jericho', it's like his own version of the Boston Crab, then he tags me in and then I put it into my favourite move 'The Sharpshooter' just like Bret "Hitman" Hart, but then it broke the move, slightly jelly legged from the submission moves we pull on it, then it charged at me to a clothesline again, but I ducked and did the super kick and it went down flat on it's back,
"I personally called my kick the 'MJ Kick'." I said,
"Nice. Tag up?", I tagged Chris back in and picked up the big virus and did the Codebreaker move which he dubbed it from Jaw Breaker, then went for the Lionsault move,
"Now! Climb up where it tried to do to us earlier, we'll weaken it and take it down with a spear of vaccination!" he called out,
"Oh. You got it!" I called back as climbed up to the same spot where the virus jump off off, so I did the same thing and landed hard and oh boy it smarts, my upper body was in great pain jumping of 100 feet with such an impact on the virus,
"Now! Get the spear! Hurry!", I was seething in pain, then I saw a spear of vaccination right in front of me, I grabbed hold of it, then I charged despite me being in pain, but the virus threw Chris Jericho out with it's legs and kicked the spear off my hands and kick my head so hard it feels like he just broke my neck, then I started to fade by passing out,
Real world, everybody was still waiting for the results, but Cameron and Hinata grew impatient,
"This is taking too long. I wanna help now!" Hinata said,
"I'm going too!" Cameron agreed, Hinata grabbed the device, pushed the button takes Cameron's hand,
"Kids NO!" Sarah exclaimed, but it was too late, the kids beamed into Marlena's laptop, Y2J's program and made their way digitally to a counter in New York,
"Aw cool." Cameron was amazed,
"So this what it's like being inside the digital world." Hinata said,
"We're literally in the internet!" they cheered on, until the noticed the fight going on,
"That must be the bug causing the chaos." Hinata said,
"Is that…Chris Jericho?" Cameron asked, Hinata got a close look,
"It is Chris Jericho. We gotta get his autograph." she said, then Cameron noticed,
"Uh…sis…is that?" he noticed that I was down,
"Daddy!" Hinata gasped and rushed off to my side as Cameron follows,
"Dad!" Cameron gasped,
"Daddy? Daddy! Come on wake up daddy!" Hinata cried out,
"Don't die on us dad!" Cameron exclaimed as he tried to hold back tears,
"Wake up daddy!" Hinata cried as she starts smacking my face,
"If you die on us daddy! I'll never live without you!" Hinata cried as she continues slapping me, but then suddenly,
"HEY! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA YOUNG LADY!? YOU KNOW THAT'S NOT VERY NICE TO SMACK YOUR FATHER IN THE FACE LIKE THAT!? I OUGHTTA SLAP YA IN THE FACE BACK REAL GOOD!" I scolded loudly, Hinata didn't even flinch,
"Daddy!" Hinata just hugged me, still in tears, relieved that I'm not dead,
"We thought you're dead." Cameron said about to cry,
"Nah I ain't dead, I'm just unconscious for a bit." I said,
"I'm so worried I have to wake you up somehow." Hinata cried,
"I'm sorry for worrying you my baby bear." I said, but I added on,
"But I wish you wouldn't slap me in the face like that again. That's your mom's job to do that to me." I scolded,
"I'm sorry daddy." Hinata said wiping her tears off,
"But I'm so glad you woke me up." I said, I hugged Hinata and grab Cameron to hug him too,
"Hey! If you're alive back there, I need your help!" Chris called out, I came to my senses to help Chris Jericho,
"Stay back kids, daddy's got some unfinished business with that big nasty virus over there." I said and went back into the fight,
"Looks like we're gonna watch the show." Hinata said,
"Oh yeah." Cameron said, Chris Jericho was getting exhausted with his fight, then I leap onto the virus back, then I grab hold of it's head then DDT'd it down, then picked it's head up, Irish whipped it, then kick it in the gut then did the stunner, Stone Cold Steve Austin style,
"Woo! This is better than wrestling." Cameron said,
"Better than WWE?" Hinata asked,
"Way better than AEW." Cameron said,
"True dat." Hinata said, then I started weakening the virus down by doing the Sharpshooter again,
"Jericho! I think I got it now get the spear and finish it off!" I called, then Chris got the spear of vaccination and before he prepared to stab the virus down, the virus grew resilient and broke the Sharpshooter again and brushed off the spear away from Chris Jericho, but then Chris and I grabbed it to hold it down,
"Yeah! Get em'!" Hinata cheered,
"Get em' dad!" Cameron cheered,
"Say, who are these kids?" Chris asked,
"Oh those are my kids." I answered,
"Why are they here?" he asked once more,
"They're probably checking up on me and probably got inpatient somehow." I said,
"Maybe they can help us." Chris said,
"You think they can?" I asked,
"They can strike the virus down with the spear of vaccination." Chris suggested,
"Yeah that can work with us holding it down." I said,
"Hey kids! Can you help us!?" Chris called,
"You want us to help!?" Hinata called,
"Yeah!" I called,
"I can't believe Chris Jericho asked us to help." Cameron smiled gleefully and Hinata just squealed,
"There's a spear of vaccination! I need you two to charge at the virus and jab at it!" Chris called out, so they found the spear and picked it up,
"So we charge at it and then we destroy it right?" Cameron asked,
"I guess that's what it's for. Like a medicine fighting germs when we get sick." Hinata assumed,
"Yeah you're right." Cameron said,
"Okay, on three and we charge." Hinata said,
"1-2-3. CHAAAAAAARGE!" the kids charged and while we still hold the virus down, it tries to fight back to get loose and so threw Chris and me away and as it did, the kids extended the spear of vaccination and jabbed the spear into the virus,
"GAAAAAAAAH!" the virus howled in pain as it feels the vaccine seeping inside it, the kids got their hands off the spear, the virus drops down on it's knees and disintegrated,
"So…that's it?" Hinata asked,
"Hold on." I said, I checked into my tablet, looked for the New York counter and noticed it changed to 2024,
"The counter is fixed. The bug is eliminated and the 2024 is officially now!" I said,
"In that case…here are your winners!" Cameron shouted,
"The team of Y2J Chris Jericho & The Moonwalker!" Hinata shouted,
"Moonwalker?" Chris asked,
"It's my wrestling alter ego. Named after a Michael Jackson movie." I answered,
"Oh."
"Well we should head back now. My wife's waiting for us." I said,
"Well my work here is done. I'll send you guys back home." Chris said,
"Wait a minute!" Cameron exclaimed,
"What?" I asked,
"Before we go…can we have your autograph?" Hinata asked,
"Yeah can we can we?" Cameron asked also,
"Sure." Chris said, then he signed a couple of his posters to Hinata and Cameron,
"Thank you Y2J." they said,
"You're very welcome. Makes me happy to have young fans like you. And hey you remind me of my kids at your age." Chris said, then he adds on,
"So you'll be seeing me in AEW man?" Chris asked me,
"Oh no, I'm pro WWE for life. But…I hope you come back to WWE one last last time…very soon." I said,
"I hope so too."
"I also hope we can look you up in Winnipeg too." I said,
"Sure, anytime." Chris said,
"Well it's time go." I said,
"Thank you for a helping hand." Chris said,
"No, thank you for my help." I said,
"Bye guys." he said, we said bye to Jericho back, then he transported us back to the real world, so flew out of the laptop and returned,
"You're back." Marlena said,
"Oh my man." Sarah came up to kiss me,
"Cammy!" Pia hugs Cameron,
"So. Is it done?" Professor Lewis asked,
"The counter is fix. So goodbye 2023…and hello 2024!" I said,
"Now this is a Happy New Year." Cameron said,
Later, I was browsing through an app store and found Y2J Debug Cleanser program, gave it 5 stars and posted a feedback:

"Is it because of Chris Jericho?" Aki asked,
"No. That we defeated a huge computer virus to help Jericho and daddy." Hinata said,
"My hero. Fighting that nasty computer virus was the bravest thing you did." Pia said to Cameron clinging to his arms,
"Well, Hinata and I only did was skewered the virus down." Cameron said,
"I wish I'll be in these Halloween stories and I will be your girl that time Cameron." Lillia said,
"Ha. You wish." Pia retorted,
"What are you saying?" Lillia asked really annoyed, then the door opened,
"We're back." I said,
"Sorry we're late, we stopped by at Silver Grills before we headed home." Sarah said,
"She wanted huge orders of chow mein and fried chicken balls." I said,
"Uh. Why is your mom ordered that much?" Pia asked Cameron,
"No idea." Cameron asked,
"She has cravings." Aaloka answered,
"Cravings?" Pia asked,
"It's one of them common stages women go through pregnancies." Aaloka explained,
"That's right sweetie, it's not very easy, but when I get the cravings, I can't control myself." Sarah said,
"She couldn't help it because she wants to get thicc for your daddy." Erica said to our kids,
"That's not true." Sarah retorted,
"He knows he loves when you get thicc Sarah." Aki said,
"Not true, right honey?" Sarah asked me,
"Oh come baby, I don't mind that. I love when you get thicc, especially your behind." I said as I was about to reach for her butt, the lights went out,
"AAAAH!" all the girls shriek,
"Hold on." I said, then the lights came back on, all because of the generator now running, Lillia and Pia were clinging to Cameron,
"Would you let go of me now?" Cameron asked,
'No! I wanna hold you longer." Lillia and Pia said, then outside, Fumika Miyumiya arrived too late as she left her vehicle,
"Oh man I missed the those Halloween stories. Well since I'm here." she said to herself then adds on,
"Well folks this concludes 'The THRILLER Tales'. And since Sundara and Valencia aren't here this year, I'll fill in for this. Christmas is coming soon, but before that, it's the perfect time to buy a poppy and honour the Canadian war veterans for Remembrance Day. And as my final act for this story…" Fumika said, then pulls out her phone,
"I'm gonna take pictures of my destined lover. So, Happy Halloween and have a very spoopy night."
