Day 14

I couldn't sleep, it's already the next day, I've been staring at the vents for hours now, Lily's peacefully asleep in my arms. With Lana out of commission we could only block it with whatever junk we had. Lana wanted to die yesterday, but Luna didn't want to kill her. She kept saying that there's hope for her. But I know that her leg can't be healed. Even if we amputate it, we don't have the knowledge to perform whatever the surgery. We don't even know how to make sure Luna's stump doesn't get worse. Lana didn't want to take that risk. Alas, we just told her that we should wait for Lola, she haven't woken up yet. The oxygen deprivation yesterday, I hope it doesn't have any shitty effects on us other than the drowsiness. I don't want to stay in this concrete coffin anymore.

Lola is still asleep, we couldn't wake her up. It had been more than 20 hours already. "At least you're alright Lily, I'm sorry I haven't been playing with you, I was... I was in a dark place." I said. I wish I could be her right now, not knowing a thing about the current trajectory of our lives. Then again, I don't envy her, being born in hell. Just as I was about to drift to bed, I heard Lola coughing. I got up with Lily in my arm. Just as I was about to crouch down, I saw Lola's skin. It was bluish. The hell is wrong? I crouched, and I shook her. She didn't wake up. I laid Lily down on the mattress, and I felt Lola's neck, her heart rate was fast. So fast. I panicked. I ran to Luna, who's sleeping on her cot, and I woke her up. "Luna get up, Lola's not looking good,"

It took a minute to wake Luna up, but when she did and when she heard what I said, her eyes shot up. I could see the panic in her eyes. She jumped off her cot with that metal leg of hers and crawled over to Lola. She saw Lola's face, it was blue. She placed her hand on Lola's wrist and I could see her panic even more. "Lola, Lola! Wake up!" Luna shook the little girl hard. She didn't wake up. "Lincoln, get a flashlight!" Luna shouted. I heard her, I ran to the cupboards, and I grabbed one of the three large flashlights we stocked up. I gave it to her and she shined it at Lola's face. With her fingers, she opened Lola's eyelids. Lola's eyes were staring straight at Luna. Luna sighed as she turned the light off. "What do we do?" Luna asked.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"She's unconscious,"

"Then let's just wait for her to wake up," I said.

"We don't really have that choice," Luna sighed. "We don't have any IV left, whatever Lisa stocked up got fucked with her fire, and even if we have it, we don't know how to use it!" Luna said, angrily.

"Fuck..."

"Fuck indeed," Luna replied as she lied down on the floor. "I don't want to shoot them," Luna cried. "I've killed 3 of my sisters, I don't want to shoot them. I don't want to shoot them."

I also don't want to shoot them. Just as I was about to say something, she sat back up and said "Sorry, I didn't mean to push it on you. Don't feel bad about me alright, I'll be fine," She smiled. "I'll take care of it tomorrow, we'll have a nice meal, and we'll do it as fast as we can. Good night little bro," Luna said fastly as she got up. Slowly she walked to her cot, and lied down.

"Good night..." I said quietly. How did we get to this point? We're talking about ending the lives of our sisters as if it was deciding what to eat for breakfast. We deserve hell. That's it. I picked Lily up, and I laid her down on the cot beside Luna's. 2 weeks ago, this place was loud, now, it's just quiet. Very quiet. Just 5 kids, slowly losing it. I was about to join Lily in dreamland, when I heard clapping from the backroom. I looked at the entrance, and out came Bun Bun. "YOU!" I grit my teeth.

"Whoa whoa whoa! Calm down tiger! We're friends right?" Bun Bun chuckled as I stomped my way to him. I didn't want anything to do with him, so I kicked him. He flew and hit the wall. "That's not too polite now Lincoln," Bun Bun said as he dusted his body. "I don't really like impolite kids," Bun Bun sized grew. In 3 seconds, he was towering over me. "I don't like rude kids, Lincoln," Bun Bun smiled. His teeth coated in blood and guts and his eyes turned hollow. "But I'm not in the mood right now, so please sit down." Bun Bun continued, his size went back to normal. "You see Lincoln, I'm an immortal being, I don't die. And the thing about Gods and Antichrist was just a stupid play I made to make you feel more insecure," I grit my teeth.

"Thank you for that, I very fucking appreciate that," I chuckled sarcastically.

"I don't really appreciate sarcasm son," Bun Bun's arm stretched and slapped me.

"Then what do you want with me?" I asked him, gritting my teeth.

"ENTERTAINMENT OF COURSE!" Bun Bun jumped. He snapped his paws and a stage rose up from the gray concrete floor. Carnival music blared loudly. "COME UP LINCOLN! LET ME SHOW YOU THE REAL LIGHT OF SALVATION!"

"What the fuck are you talking about? There is no fucking salvation!" I shouted. Bun Bun looked at me. He flicked his paws again and he's now wearing a suit. He waved his right paw up and a cane fell on it, he grabbed the cane and two large teddy bears came from behind me and dragged me by my arms up the stage. "LET ME GO!"

"You see Lincoln, I'm a business man, a very successful one at that. I sell something the rich can never have enough of... You're a fellow entrepreneur, tell me, what's that particular thing they can never have enough of?" He pointed his cane at my chest.

"Entertainment?"

"BINGO! Give the kid a goodie bag," Bun Bun clapped his paws. Confetti flew up. Another teddy bear came walking, it gave me a chest. "Open it! You deserve that prize!" Bun Bun yelled. I opened it, and I saw the cold dead head of Leni. Shocked, I dropped it. It disappeared. "That was a good fun wasn't it, got me 34K for that bit right there!" Bun Bun laughed.

"LET ME GO!"

"Why would I do that?" Bun Bun smiled slyly. "What will I benefit from that transaction?"

"I- I-"

"How about this? I'll let you live now, go around do your merry things, reproduce, I don't care, but when you die, your soul is mine." Bun Bun stepped closer and pushed his cane into my chest. "Do we have a deal?"

"Just my soul, don't you dare touch my sisters... or whoever's left."

"Fine, fine, fine, but this deal will be final, you'll spend eternity in hell with me, and we'll have lots of fun,"

"You won't touch my sisters right?"

"I won't, now will you sign the contract?" He pulled out a quill and a yard long roll of paper out of his pocket. The paper was yellow and uneven, the terms were written in blood and the stamp was fire. I gulped. I took the quill he gave me and signed it. "Splendid, splendid, now enjoy your short and painful life."

The stage disappeared, the bears disappeared, the confetti disappeared, the music disappeared, what was left was me, the concrete floor, and a lifeless Bun Bun on the floor. I grabbed the shitty doll, and I ripped it to shred. "FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU!" I grabbed his ripped head and I threw it out of the backroom door as I turned around.

"Umm... Am I disturbing you?" Luna caught the head. "Holy shit, I got some killer reflex," Luna looked at the bunny head in her hand.

"I- I'm sorry Luna, I didn't mean to disturb you."

"It's alright, I just want to apologize for what I said before, I don't want you to feel like I'm trying to push it on you, I'm sorry Linc," Luna said. She wasn't using her crutches. "Are you alright?"

"It's alright, Luna. It's nothing really, we all have bad days, we just have it more often now," I said.

"You can say that again," Luna chuckled. "You sure you're alright though?"

"I'm fine, anyway, how's your foot or stump thing, is it hurting? Aren't you supposed to rest more?" I asked as I got near her.

"There's no rest for the wicked Linc. But I am getting the hang of it. Sure, it stings a bit, but Lisa sure did a good job with it." Luna said. "Combined with Lana's foot, I'll be the rock version of Ella Fitzgerald. Minus the diabetes."

"Who the hell is that?"

"Don't worry, I'll teach you the entire history of music, not that we have anything else to do nowadays." Luna sat her arm on my shoulder, and walked out of the backroom with me and into the common room.

"I'll look forward to that."

"Glad to have you on board," Luna smiled as she sat down. Her back to the support pole. "Also Lincoln, I have to ask you this. Please don't get mad."

"What is it?" I asked as I too sat down.

"Can we get out of here tomorrow... after the twins?" Luna asked, I could hear the pain in her voice. "I'm sorry, it's a stupid idea-"

"Sure." I cut her off. I want to go. I don't want to stay in here anymore. I looked at the concrete walls, I looked at the lifeless monitor. It used to be alright. Now it's just a coffin. Anywhere but here. "Where to?"

I heard Luna chuckle. "I don't know," she laughed.

"Sounds like a plan," I said.

Luna chuckled. "Fuck yeah,"
