In the morning

"I was thinking about waiting until our weekly lunch but i honestly couldn't wait. Things between Lucas and I are changing. In a really hopeful. Positive way."

"I confessed my feelings. And so did he. We shared kisses and I think it's worth trying. Letting him in to my heart."

"I thought you would be happy and excited for me. You seem like you don't support this at all." Brooke said.

Rachel sighed deeply. Staring back at her close friend.

"Brooke. We've always kept everything honest between us."

"Which is why i need to just get this out." Rachel replied.

"I went to see Lucas at his office. Did he tell you about that.?"

"No. But i know he had some involvement with Peyton. He thought Larry was his son. I mean i left town. I didn't expect him to be alone." Brooke replied.

Rachel stared at her wide eyed. "Him abandoning you. The baby."

"I just don't understand it. Don't you see he's using you to fill a void.?" Rachel asked.

"He loves me! I finally have a real family. And you want me to just toss that aside because it's not perfect. I won't do that."

"I had the house and pretty things my room. And grew up without real love or support."

"We are going to give Larry the world. We're going to have a future together. A life. You're jealous. Just admit it." Brooke exclaimed.

"He's going to break you're heart. Peyton was what he wanted."

"When you got pregnant it changed things." Rachel said.

"I love you. I'm trying to protect you." Rachel insisted.

"Maybe everyone was right about you and i've been the fool all this time." Brooke proclaimed before leaving the diner.

Lucas hadn't expected to see Brooke in his office. But she was pacing and clearly upset.

"Are you using me to fufill some fantasy?" Brooke asked.

"I wouldn't do that. Why would you ask after i made it very clear that you're the one.?" Lucas question.

"Rachel and I met up. She was saying all these stuff. About you and Peyton and me."

"I just couldn't take that. You mean so much to me."

"This family is all that i have." Brooke said. The emotion in her voice thick.

"I'm going to prove it to you. How serious i am about us."

"Larry will hang out with uncle Nathan and aunt Haley."

"I'm going to take you away this weekend." Lucas announced.
