As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. Then gradually time awakened again and moved sluggishly on
Larry was distracted when we left which made saying goodbye alot easier. Since this weekend get away of Lucas's was so last minute.
And he didn't give me alot of details about where we were going he simply said just to pack.
So i did and we drove for hours. Only to end up in front of this cabin that i had never seen.
As we got inside he explained to me that it had been Keith's and Keith had left to him. Once the adoption had been final.
It wasn't alot but the house. The land. It held alot of memories for Lucas and no one besides Karen Keith and himself knew it existed.
"Why are you showing this place.? It's so special to you." Brooke questioned.
"I love you and you're the only person i want to create memories of our own here. As a couple and a family."
It was then that Lucas went into his pocket and pulled out a ring box.
Brooke felt her luggage fall from her hands.
As their eyes were locked on each other.
Brooke listened closely as Lucas poured out his heart to her.
The words Brooke had dreamed of hearing happened.
"Brooke Penelope Davis. Will you marry me.?" Lucas asked.
"Yes Lucas i will." Brooke replied.
