Noah couldn't help but notice how sad Owen seemed to be.

It's not like anyone noticed however thanks to Owen putting up a happy front for everyone but Noah spent enough time with the big guy to know that Owen was clearly upset.

So when the two were checked into the hotel that Chris rented for their extended vacation in Jamaica, he decided to bite the bullet and ask Owen what was going on.

"Owen, why are you upset?" He asked bluntly, he didn't care to dance around the issue, he just wanted to know what was going on.

"Uh… it's nothing." Owen cried out in shock when he realized what Noah asked him before reiterating, "I-I mean… I'm not sad at all."

"Owen, I can see it in your eyes. You ARE upset about something." Noah narrows his eyes at the chubby blonde who stammers and stutters until he sighs miserably.

"Is it about Izzy?" Noah asked curiously in a more softer tone, he didn't expect Owen to be over Izzy so soon and given everything they went through, he felt that was justified.

"Y-Yes." Owen's lip trembled before he started crying which made Noah uncomfortable but he felt it was warranted.

"You… wanna talk about it?" Noah questioned with doubt. He wasn't sure if his friend was in the best emotional state to talk about it, but he didn't have other ideas to help him right now.

Owen stood silent for a bit before nodding. So Noah took a seat by his side.

"I'm just… so overwhelmed by it'' Owen started "I was happy with her. I loved Izzy, and I still do. When I saw her in the bed, and thought she was gone…"

"I… don't even know how I'll react in your place" He said, trying to comfort his chubby friend. He wasn't exactly good with these kinds of situations, so he tried to be cautious with his words and left his unfiltered opinion on Izzy aside. She was his friend too, but that doesn't mean he was okay with all her actions.

"And then she just became super smart and it was like she didn't remember me. She totally did because she broke up with me, but it wasn't the same Izzy" the blonde guy continued.

"Well… maybe you can try to talk with her if you see her after the show?" Noah said, hoping he chose the right mix of words.

"I thought you said it was best that i broke up with her'' Owen babbled.

Noah facepalmed. How did he forget that?

"I know I did. It wasn't anything against her, but… she was being reckless with you" Noah defended, while trying to still be impartial. "Look, i know You loved her, and i know she loved You too, i have no doubts on that. But maybe she's not the best at controlling her actions"

"But what if i was the one being wrong" The blonde questioned, with his voice slowly getting a bit broken "i liked the wild Izzy. Am I wrong for not being able to keep up with her?"

Noah grabbed him by the cheeks and made him focus on him.

"Owen. It's okay to love someone and take some risk for that love. But there's a limit, and that limit should be your well being. And there's nothing wrong with you buddy, you're one of the nicest, funniest and more loyal people I've ever known."

Owen felt touched by those words, and his cheeks reddened a bit due to the proximity with the hindi Bookworm.

"You… really mean that buddy?"

"Every word about it Chubby Buddy'' Noah admitted.

Owen smiled a lot more happily, both seemingly forgot about everything else.

Suddenly Owen closed the distance between them and kissed him. Noah was in shock, but suddenly closed his eyes and corresponded for a couple of seconds, before splitting.

"Noah I'm-I'm" Owen babbled scared. Did he screw things up?

"N-no. It's okay Owen" Noah quickly answered trying to calm him down "You're… a bit overwhelmed right now"

He didn't want to admit it, but he enjoyed that kiss. Did that mean he liked Owen more than a friend? He did like the accident he had with Alejandro, but that didn't mean he liked that slimy eel. He'd rather kiss Heather, Courtney or Sierra before him again.

"Are you sure? I understand if you don't wanna-" Owen said nervously.

"Buddy. It's all good" He assures. Even if he didn't fully believe it himself. "Now, what do you say if we go back there and eat something to cheer up?"

Owen nodded with a smile, "Thanks Noah." he said.

The Friends went inside the hotel, hoping the buffet was still open (after all, it was a charge to Chris' wallet) without noticing someone had been watching them from the shadows.

"Their bond is strong. Too strong" Alejandro whispered "I'll have to get Owen on my side, or hope for a miracle. But I'm not giving up, you're going down, little buddy."

Next Chapter: Duncan and Gwen's scandal is shown more in-depth to the author's mighty dread.

Author's Note: This was a long time coming, Nowen is pretty hard to write in a post-Ozzy breakup but I think I handled it well. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.
