Part 2
The Prime Ministers Office

(Prime Ministers Office, Tokyo-3, Japan)

The city of Tokyo-3 was in chaos.

Following a massive explosion at the Ghostbusters firehouse-headquarters, the four supernatural investigators had been immediately brought before the Prime Minister.

But with ever-emerging ghost sightings and pandemonium spreading across the huge metropolis, the quartet would have been brought to jail, but in the ensuing chaos, the group had been rerouted to The Japan Prime Ministers office.

The Prime Minister, Yasuhiro Nakasone, who was having a hard time trying to contain or even understand what was going on, was demanding answers for everything that was happening.

"The Ghostbusters are here, Prime Minister." one of his aides said.

"The Ghostbusters. Very good, the Ghostbusters. Where's this Rokobungi?" he asked.

"I am Gendo Rokobungi, sir, and I am prepared to make a full report. These men are consummate snowball artists. They use sense and nerve gases to induce hallucinations. People think they are seeing ghosts. And they call these bozos, who conveniently show up to deal with the problem with a fake electronic light show." the angry-looking bearded man said.

"Everything was fine with our system before the power grid was shut off by dickless here." Kensuke Aida said.

"They caused an explosion!" Gendo snapped.

"Is this true?" the Prime Minister asked.

"Yes. It's true. This man has no dick." Ryoji Kaji said.

Gendo, overly annoyed by Kaji already, lunged at the man.

"Break it Up! Break It UP!" one of the aides said as they pushed Gendo and Kaji apart.

"Alright, Alright!" Gendo relented.

"Well, that's what I heard!" Kaji said.

"This is Cabinet of Japan. Now what am I going to do here, Ashito? What is this?" The Prime Minister asked.

"All I know was that was no lightshow we saw this morning. I've seen every form of combustion known to man, But this confuses me to no end." the chief of police said.

"The walls in the Okita Precinct were bleeding. How do you explain that?" one of the aides asked Gendo, who could not answer.

"Good afternoon, gentlemen." a new voice stated as the gūji arrived.

"Ah, Sensei!" the Prime Minister said as the head shinto priest, Kiichi Miyazawa, arrived.

"How are you, Yasuhiro?" the priest asked as the two men greet each other.

"I am well. You're looking good, Kiichi. We have a real problem. What do you think I should do?"

"Yasuhiro, the priesthood will not take any position on the religious implications of these... phenomena. Personally, Yasuhiro, I think it's a sign from Kami. But don't quote me." the older man said.

"I think that's a smart move, Kiichi." Kaji said.

"Well, I'm not going to call a press conference and tell everyone to start praying." Yasuhiro said.

"Uh... I'm Toji Suzuhara, your honor." the tall, dark-haired young man said as he stepped forward. "I've only been with the company for a couple of weeks. But I gotta tell you. These things, are real. Since I've joined these men, I have seen shit that will turn you white."

"Well, you can believe Mr. Gendoed..." Kaji said.

"My name is Gendo." the upset man said.

"Or, you can accept the fact that this city is heading for a disaster of biblical proportions." Kaji added, ignoring Gendo.

"What do you mean 'biblical'?" Yasuhiro asked.

"What he means is 'Yomi-no-kuni', Prime Minister. Real World of Darkness, type stuff. Death and shadow coming down from the skies. Rivers and Seas boiling." Kensuke said.

"An eternity of darkness, earthquakes, volcanos." Shinji Ikari stated.

"The dead rising from the grave!" Toji said.

"Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, Mass Hysteria!" Kaji added.

"Enough! I get the point!" Yasuhiro snapped at the men. "But what if you're wrong?" he asked calmly.

"If I'm wrong, nothing happens! We'll go to jail. Peacefully, quietly, we'll enjoy it. But if I'm right, and we can stop this thing, then you, Mr. Prime Minister, will have saved the lives of millions of registered voters." Kaji said.

At hearing this, Gendo moved up to stand right next to Kaji, facing the Prime Minister.

"Mr. Prime Minster, you can't seriously be foolish enough to listen to these men."

The Prime Minister looked at Kiichi, who simply smiled and nodded at the man.

"Get him out of here." Yasuhiro said as he pointed at Gendo.

"Bye." Kaji said with a smile.

"I'm going to fix you, Ryoji! You wait, I'm going to fix you!" Gendo warned.

"I'll get you a nice fruit basket." Kaji said with a smirk as Gendo was ushered out of the office.

"So what exactly is this threat that is going to be descending upon our city?" Yasuhiro asked.

"It's Kaworu, Mr. Prime Minister." Kensuke said.

Kiichi Miyazawa seemed to flinch and frown as he said that.

"You mean Kaworu the Nagisan? The Destructor? From the days of the Warring States Era?" the shinto priest asked, somewhat alarmed.

"Yes."

"But how is that possible? Kaworu can't set foot on this planet unless... someone had built a portal for him to enter our world."

"They did. In 1947 a religious sect leader named Keel Lorenz started a secret society of Nagisan worshipers. He was also the architect of the apartment building of Central Park East, which he created as the door for Kaworu to enter our world."

The Ghostbusters showed the blueprints of the building to the gūji and the Prime Minister.

"Tell me everything." Kiichi the gūji said.

"It started after Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed. Because of the devastation, Keel believed that mankind was too sick to survive."

"Sick to survive?" Yasuhiro asked.

"Keel was a man of various talents. Not only was he an architect he was also an engineer and even a student of the Shinto religions. But he was also a doctor. Preformed a lot of unnecessary surgery. He designed the building to be a huge super-conductive antenna which was meant to pull in and concentrate spiritual turbulence." Shinji explained.

"It's essentially Spook Central." Kensuke said.

"But how? I mean... how can you be so sure?" one of the Prime Ministers assistants asked.

"If you look closely at the design of this building, you'll notice, the structure of this roof cap, is not only made out of a magnesium-tungsten alloy, but it is structured exactly like the kind of telemetry tracker that NASA uses to identify dead pulsars in deep space. The structural iron-work is made up of cold-riveted girders with cores of pure selenium."

The Prime Minister turned to his Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Tetsuo Tokoro, who was also a talented architect, for advice.

"Well, Tokoro? What do you think?" The Prime Minister asked.

The man looked over the blueprints for several minutes, frowning as he did.

"He's right. I've never seen these blueprints before, and I know nothing about telemetry trackers, but... this design is unlike anything I've ever seen in any building that has been built in the last 100 years in Japan. America, perhaps. It is quite suspicious. It should never have been built in the first place. But of course, most people would have overlooked such small architectural details, in the midst of rebuilding our devastated country." the man said.

"Keel believed that the world needed to be punished for its crimes. And he wasn't alone, he had hundreds of followers with him when he died. They conducted rituals upon the roof of Central Park East. Bizarre rituals intended to bring about the end of the world, and now it looks like it's actually going to happen."

"And this... Kaworu... is the means he's going to use to destroy the world?" Yasuhiro asked.

"Yes. Kaworu the Nagisan is one of the more ancient demonic Yokai that exist far beyond the human realm." Kiichi said.

"And you knew this?" The Prime Minister asked the older man.

"Of course. The Shinto have long documented the history of these demons and other evil spirits, that have constantly plagued mankind. We believe in them and have used our spiritual abilities to hold them at bay. But this... will require more than just belief and prayer." Kiichi said.

"But why wait so long? I mean... this was... 68 years ago. If they wanted to summon this Kaworu to Earth to wipe us all out why is this happening now instead of 1947?" one of the aides asked.

"Keel created his society in 1947. It would have taken them some time to construct a proper gate for Kaworu to use to enter our world. Especially after Japan was so devastated by the war. One that no one would think was a door to this other realm." Shinji said.

"Not to mention that time means nothing to these supernatural beings. They have existed since before our own societies were formed. But for this to be happening now, and we know about it, it is something we must deal with. And these men seem to be equipt to handle it." Kiichi said.

The Prime Minister looked at the Ghostbusters and sighed.

"Alright. We have work to do. Do you have a plan to deal with this?" Yasuhiro asked.

"We do." Kaji said.

"How can we help you? What do you need?" The Prime Minister asked.

"Well, first and foremost we need our equipment and our car." Kensuke said.

"And we need to get to Central Park East with all haste." Shinji added.

"And we're going to need a police escort and as much military assistance as possible, mostly to keep the people out of the way while we deal with this." Kaji said.

The Prime Minister looked the aged Shinto Priest, who only nodded to the leader of the country.

"Done." Yasuhiro said.
