Motoyasu awakes, screaming from the phantom pain he felt before he passed out. He touches his body and finds no arrow on him. The Spear Hero turns to see Naofumi leaning on a desk with the ever-loyal ED-E by his side. Once Naofumi sees Motoyasu awaken, he can't help but joke. "I have never seen someone wake up only to pass out again."
"Naofumi…" The Spear Hero sees the man he hated and see as a villain. He quickly jumps out of the bed and kneels to him. "I am so sorry Naofumi! Malty trick me to hate you! Please forgive me!"
"I am still a General." Naofumi is annoyed that no one in this world seems to say his rank. "I understand though, people have been deceived by scarlet women like Malty. Don't feel too guilty."
Raphtalia and Keel run inside and hug General Iwatani. "Mr. General!"
"I am so happy you are okay!" Both hold on to Naofumi, who is annoyed by the fact they still don't just say general. But he head pats both of them, making them wag their tails.
"As much as I would love to play with you, I must meet with the queen." Naofumi lets go of them which makes them sad. Seeing them like makes the General sigh but assures them. "Perhaps later, I can teach you a game my country is fond of: Baseball. Would you like that?"
"Really? Yes please!" Keel answers loudly while Raphtalia is nodding furiously. Motoyasu raise his voice which has their attention.
"Actually, I was in my high school's baseball team."
"To attract girls?" Naofumi ask which he nods at. "Let us just meet with Mirellia first. Then we can discuss teams."
Raphtalia is excited for the reunion between the General and Queen. "Yeah! I can't wait for you to see your fiancée."
Naofumi is confused and looks at Motoyasu. "What is she talking about? A fiancée?"
ED-E begins to tell him which makes Naofumi's eyes begin to widen.
Queen Mirellia is sitting on her throne looking at the damage report from the Spear Crusade. Several buildings were destroyed but luckily not that many people were killed. With the pope and his cultists dead, the Church has no power and was easy to dismantle any stragglers. She places the report down and looks at Colonel Bragg and Captain Ake. Duke and Veronica left to check on the Mojave.
"Thank you soldiers for repelling these zealots and saving civilians of Castle Town. If the other heroes were here, I would have a ceremony to reward you all." Mirellia said but Bragg shakes his head.
"That will not be necessary. We just did our duty." Colonel Bragg doesn't want medals as this is simply their job in the Enclave. Ake holds his hand up which alerts the colonel.
"Could I get a medal?"
They all go silent once they hear Naofumi's shocked yelling. "WHAT?!"
General Iwatani enters the throne room and marches towards the queen with ED-E floating beside him. Motoyasu runs behind him and tries to give an excuse. "I'm sorry. He just found out about his wedding."
"It is okay. Hello darling." Mirellia assures Motoyasu then greets Naofumi.
"Wedding! Fiancée! Explain now!" The General is freaking out of the revelation. He wants answers so the Queen gets up from her throne and walk towards him. She grabs his hand and they walk out of the throne room.
Inazuma comes out of the interrogation room and closes it but not before mocking the seem-to-be-knocked-out Bow Hero, who is tied to a chair. "Don't you go anywhere kid. I may cut off the other arm if you do."
The leader of the squad walks to the kitchen and cleans his bloody hands. He then sits with his teammates. Kitsune looks at the commander. "So what did he say thanks to your delicate touch?"
"We are looking at a new world. Master should be informed of this." Inazuma looks at his squad and notices someone missing. "Where is Bakemono?"
Oni answers. "He said he is going to Hoover Dam. The leaders of Legion and NCR will be at the battle."
Meanwhile in the locked room, Itsuki is tied up and bloodied. He goes into his pocket and pulls out a knife and begins to cut the rope. He goes free and growls once he sees his amputated arm. Gone thanks to that damn American. The Bow Hero places his ear to the door and listens to the conversation.
Inazuma: "You should've gone with him."
Oni: "Apologizes Commander but he said we would be too noticeable. Taking out the Legate and General will weaken both governments for takeover."
Kitsune: "That Courier with the sword will also be involved in the battle. I think her name is Duke Dornan."
Hearing the name of the one that cut off his hand enrages Itsuki. He looks around and spots a vent. He is about to crawl in until he finds a robotic arm. He picks it up and begins crawling in. Unknown to the Bow Hero, the door opens and a man becomes visible and enters to sit with his teammates. Inazuma looks at the young man and asks.
"Well, Kemuri?"
"He took the bait. The little fool will take out Duke for us."
The Queen and General are walking around the hall of the castle. Mirellia explains the reason for her desire to marry Naofumi.
"The people are happy that you saved them from the Spear Crusade. Many of them are even asking for you to take control of the military. I don't want any conflict between the kingdom and Enclave so how about we join them together by way of marriage?"
Naofumi stops and stares at the Queen. The elegant woman is majestic in Naofumi's eyes. "I will admit, you are someone I would love to marry and care for. However, we need to talk about the monarchy."
She nods, knowing the issue. General Iwatani hates monarchies. He despises those that call themselves rulers merely because of bloodline. She read books from Naofumi's world and she can say she was enlightened from her research.
"You are correct Naofumi. Monarchy is a dying practice in your world but it is strong here. Democracy will be a difficult system to implement. If you marry me then we can work together to make changes to eventually create Democratic reforms over time. Also…" Mirellia places her hand on his cheek. It is somehow both cold and warm at the same time. "A man like you is someone I would love to be with."
General Iwatani holds her hand and looks her in the eyes. "Determine, strong and proud? You are certainly a leader. But first, let us make it official."
While holding her hand, Naofumi kneels on one knee. "Mirellia Q. Melromarc, will you marry me?"
"Yes!" She answer and gives him a big kiss. They makeout until…
"Um…" Melty interrupts them and they get off eachother. The Princess has blush on her face but tries her best to tell them something. "C-congratulations mother. It will be great to talk more fat- I mean General. Colonel Bragg said they got a message from Duke Dornan. Something about Hoover Dam starting."
"I see. Thank you." Naofumi walks back to the throne room but he pats Melty on the head as he passes off. "Thank you, young lady. We will discuss the wedding later Mirellia. For now, I need to get back to Hoover Dam."
The Queen of Melromarc understands and simply holds his hand again. "Promise that you will return."
"I will ma'am." Naofumi said without hesitation.
Duke Dornan has just planted the chip into the security systems inside the Hoover Dam. A giant smiling face appears on the screen.
"Oh boy!" Yes Man declares with a cheer. "We are ready to go. But we have options! Would you like to self-destruct the Dam or release the army of Securitrons?"
The new Sword Hero quickly answers. "The army of Securitrons! The army!"
She knows her boss will kill her if she blows up the Dam. The NCR soldiers are confused once a smiling face appears on the screens but once Legionnaires break into the room, they go after them. Duke takes out her sword and cuts the head of a Decanus. She runs outside and sees the Legion's base on the other side of the Dam be attack by Securitrons. Enclave vertibirds touch down and soldiers come pouring out, taking out Legionnaires. The NCR is confused but they still charge at the Legion. SGT Dornan smiles seeing the army ready to fight by her side. It is interrupted when an arrow breaks through one of the vertibird's windows and hits the pilot in the eye. This freaks him out and his ship spins around and smashes into another which blows them both up.
"No!" Duke shouts, sad and angry that the soldiers under her died. She looks for the shooter when Veronica points at a someone from a top the guard tower.
"I see him, Duke!" Veronica warns her as an arrow zip towards Duke, who cuts it in half.
"I'll deal with him. Veronica, tell the troops to march and take out only Legion pricks." Duke tells her girlfriend as she runs towards the Guard Tower. Once she enters the tower, Veronica gives orders.
"Alright men! We need to take out the Legion and NCR! Charge!" The Brotherhood Scribe shouts her orders and though confused, they go forth and take out anyone in their way. The only ones that don't are the Devil's Brigade, who look at Veronica with suspicion.
Duke enters the roof of the tower and dodges an arrow. She rolls out of the way and tackles the archer off the tower. They land on the ground. The archer punches her with a metal fist. She gets up and spits out some blood. She realizes who is this archer as she prepares her sword. "Oh good! You are going to pay for hurting my girlfriend you crazy brat."
"I am 17!" Itsuki Kawasumi shouts with a crazed look as he pulls his arrow again. "Die you inferior!"
Near the entrance to the Hoover Dam, A portal opens up and Naofumi steps out of it with ED-E. He looks and sees the battle going on. He is shocked seeing his army attack Legion AND NCR. "What are they doing?! I told them to just destroy the Legion!"
"N-naofumi…" Someone groans his name and ED-E floats above a bush. He runs and pulls out an injured Veronica. She has what looks like a knife wound on her back.
"Veronica? Hang on." General Iwatani pulls out a stimpak and heals her. She grabs him by his coat and warns him of the imposter.
"Please help Duke! Someone is pretending to be me and trick her."
Naofumi watches the Battle of the Hoover Dam and sees another Veronica attack the Devil's Brigade while Duke is fighting Itsuki. He places Veronica and tells ED-E to take care of her while he runs towards the battlefield.
