Harry Potter and the Dragon of Legend
ESKK: New chapter let's get started.
(Start Hogwarts)
Things had returned to normal after the race. Harry's moments in the spotlight came to an end and thus it was back to regular boy-who-lived title. Though Harry abhorred that title at least he had Beau as comfort to get him through it. Speaking of Beau, the dragon had been on edge lately and it got Harry on edge. They had not seen the Basilisk since its last attack which failed and after the incident with the rat and now those Wraith Dragons the pair had been worried for some time now since it felt like they were overdue for something to happen.
Currently it was the evening as everyone was getting ready to head to the dorms for a good night's rest. Or in the case of the students of one particular class had to the Astronomy Tower for class. As the group walked off it was just Harry, Hermione, Beau, and Wyldfyr as Ron went to check on Ginny after the Dragons scared her off again. The pair didn't know what had gotten into the dragons when it came to Ginny as so far, the youngest Weasley had shown no hostility towards them. They can forgive the Rat since it was Peter Pettigrew in disguise at the time. Speaking of the Rat he was currently locked up in Azkaban in the exact same prison cell Sirius was locked up in only with Animagus wards to keep Peter from turning into a rat and scurrying off.
"How are you feeling?" Hermione asked thankful that Mortis had potions to help Harry so they can avoid being asked by Madam Pomfrey of what had happened.
"Find just been on edge lately." Harry admitted as he looked to Hermione. "Ever since that incident with the Wraith Dragon it's just been one of those back-to-back things." Harry added as Hermione understood what Harry was talking about.
"Just when we hoped for a normal school year, we get dragged into something insane." Hermione said as she knew that the Dragons apparent return to the world was chief among them. "And now we have an apparent Heir to Slytherin and a Basilisk on the loose." Hermione added to which Harry knew something was going on.
Just then Beau and Wyldfyr began to growl as they sensed something was very wrong right now. In fact, they were glaring at the wall almost like something was going to come out of it. "Wyldfyr what's wrong?" Hermione asked as she looked to the dragon with concern.
Wyldfyr in response put herself protectively before Hermione to shield her from whatever it was, she was growling at.
"Beau?" Harry asked as Beau did the same as Wyldfyr ready for anything that might show up. But that was before Harry heard a familiar whisper coming from the walls.
"Kill... let me kill." The dark voice whispered as Harry went wide eyed to this.
"Hermione it's the Basilisk." Harry said and thus Hermione went wide eyed to this.
"We need to get a teacher now!" Hermione said as she grew worried for whomever this Basilisk was hunting.
"You do that." Harry said as he got on Beau's back. "I'll try and stop it." Harry said as Hermione went wide eyed to this.
"No, it's too dangerous!" Hermione said as Harry then showed the gauntlet to her.
"I know but I'm the only one who can hear it!" Harry said and thus Hermione knew Harry had a point. "Now go!" Harry said and then Wyldfyr magged Hermione to her saddle and then zoomed off. Harry and Beau went the opposite direction to chase down the Basilisk and stop it from causing harm to someone.
(Later)
Harry and Beau arrived at the scene where the Basilisk was heard heading towards. Of course, much to Harry's shock and horror it was too little too late as by the time Harry arrived a thud was heard and from the wall the Basilisk was seen re-entering the schools' walls. Harry arrived to find to his shock a student on the ground unmoving frozen to the world. Harry was shocked at this as Beau looked to the boy on the ground and gave him a small sniff before rumbling sadly. Harry felt his hand and saw that he felt cold to the touch but moving to chest Harry felt a heartbeat showing he was still alive just petrified.
Harry wondered how the Basilisk could petrify someone since Hermione did the research and found that the Basilisk kills with just a glance. But before Harry could further ponder the information movement was heard from the halls which got the pairs attention. From the halls a group of teachers were seen arriving and in turn Harry and Beau looked to each other and to the teachers before back to the student on the ground. Clearly words were about to be exchanged and not in a way Harry would like.
(Later)
"It was that boy and his blasted beasty!" Filch roared as Harry and Hermione were at the headmaster's office with Dumbledore, Snape, Filch, and their head of house McGonagall. Beau and Wyldfyr were outside the office waiting for their riders as they explained what had happened with the petrified boy currently at the hospital wing of the castle.
"Please Professor, Me and Beau didn't do it, we just found the student there when we hear a disturbance," Harry pleaded to Dumbledore as Filch called out, "Rubbish!"
"If I may headmaster, perhaps Mr. Potter was at the wrong place at the wrong time," Snape suddenly said which surprise Harry and Hermione as he would be the one bad mouthing Harry… until he said, "However, the circumstances are suspicious. I for one, don't recall seeing Potter at dinner."
"I'll be able to answer that Professor Snape, as I have given Mr. Potter and Miss Granger Permission to tend to the dragons outside, as I'm sure Hagrid should be able to clear them on that sense the newly dragon stable was built near his Hutt," Professor McGonagall said to everyone backing Harry and Hermione up as Hermione said, "That right, Harry and I went out to help feed the dragons as well have our dinner there too. When we gotten back to the castle, our dragons had acted strangely, which only happen if they sense an intruder or when the Basilisk was roaming the castle, that when Harry told me to find the teachers while he went ahead to assess the situation."
"You don't believe them do you headmaster? That Boy and that beast attacked a student," Filch said as Dumbledore raise his hand to him and said, "Calm down Mr. Filch, as I do believe they are innocent as I have been doing some research of my own about these new dragons and what they can do and found out they do not possess such power to petrify a person, as well there was no proof of the dragon attacking of said student as well."
That shut Filch up as the headmaster soon said to everyone, "I believe this was just a misunderstanding while being at the wrong place and time, but I do command Mr. Potter of his bravery of trying to help as well as Miss Granger for getting teacher involved, there for 20 points to Gryffindor, each."
Harry and Hermione were surprise by this while McGonagall smile at her two lions knowing they did the right thing as Dumbledore stood up and said, "It been a long day for everyone, so I will suggest we turn in for now, agreed."
Almost everyone agreed to this as they soon leave Dumbledore's office with McGonagall escorting Harry and Hermione to their dormitory with their dragon in tow as their Professor take notice of Harry disappointed look, knowing he couldn't get to that student in time to save them as she said, "I must say Mr. Potter I may not always approve of a student acting on their own, in a dangerous situation, but I am also proud to say that you were doing the right thing, even if you didn't make it in time to help a fellow student, at least you know you did try your best to help."
"T-thank you Professor," Harry said as Beau nodded to this as they reach the Gryffindor dorm as the painting of the fat lady open up for them as the professor gave the password as the two student and dragon walk in, McGonagall stay out for a moment as she said, "I'll see you two tomorrow Mr. Potter and Miss. Granger, sleep well as you will need it."
The two nodded as the painting closed behind them as Hermione said, "They were right Harry, you did what you could, but there would be a time that we may not always make it in time to save others."
"I wish there was something we could have done still," Harry said as Hermione Hug him to show it was alright as their dragon smile at this before looking at each other for a bit giving a nod before the two separated as Hermione said, "It been a long time, goodnight harry."
"Night Hermione," Harry said to her as they parted way to their side as Beau gave Harry a nudge as he looked at the dragon and said, "What? She's just a good friend."
Beau gave him a look that seem to say, 'Not what I saw it didn't' before Harry said, "Don't make me lock you up in your trunk for all tomorrow."
Beau laughed at this as he and Harry went into the boys' dorms to turn in for the night. The pair had to be prepared for tomorrow as Harry had to clean up the Quiddich pitch for the game on the Friday.
(Scene break)
A few days has passed as Quiddich was on between Gryffindor and Slytherin with team Slytherin up by 80 points to team Gryffindor 30 points.
Slytherin had the Quaffle ball as they took it from a Gryffindor player and speed towards the hoops and try to score another point but was block and knock up over a hoop the Gryffindor play went through as another player caught the ball and try to speed over to the Slytherin side.
Avoiding and dodging the Slytherin team unaware of one coming up behind them quickly, no doubt due to their nimbus 2001 brooms that been helping them throughout the game as the Slytherin team player knocks the Quaffle out of the Gryffindor player grasp as one of the Slytherin player caught it and rush back over to the other side while also passing the ball to another player.
Harry came flying in try to block the other play, but they escape him quickly as harry just stood still in midair as he was looking a bit frustrated as soon enough the Slytherin team score another 10 points as they throw the ball through one of the hoops with a bell rang out for that as Lee Jordan announce, "Another Goal for Slytherin!"
Pushing on the score board as the 80 become a 90 with the Slytherin team cheer out while also coming together forming a V shape as they flew with one player with a bat almost knocks Harry's head off with it as he ducks to avoid it.
Back to the match Harry flew overhead as he tried to locate the Golden Snitch knowing it was their only chance to win this match. Just then Draco flew in and hovered over Harry smirking down on his rival. "Alright their scar head?" Draco taunted opting Harry to glare at the blond ponce.
Just then Harry looked to the area nearby and went wide eyed as he nearly lost his head to a Bludger. Oliver flew in and saw what happened and was just happy that their Seeker was ok. "Watch yourself Harry." Oliver called out as he looked to Harry. But unaware to Oliver Harry went wide eyed as to what was going on behind the Gryffindor Teams Captain.
"Wood look out!" Harry called out as Wood saw but he saw it too late. Wood then had his broom broken as the Bludger came at Harry once more. The secret superhero narrowly avoided being hit by it only to see it come at him once more. Harry flew away from the Bludger as he tried to escape it, but the sports tool continued to chase him down.
(Gryffindor Stands)
Hagrid was watching through the binoculars as he saw that Harry was being chased by the mentioned Bludger as they all saw it. "Blimey! Harry got himself a rogue Bludger that's been tampered with that has!" Hagrid called out as Beau growled and snarled seeing Harry was in danger.
Ron meanwhile looked to the scene and drew his broken wand to try and help. "I'll stop it." Ron said willing to help Harry, but Hermione acted and stopped the Weasley from doing it.
"No!" Hermione snapped as she stopped Harry from acting. "Even with proper wand it's too risky." Hermione said and thus looked back to the match. "You could hit Harry." Hermione said as she began to worry that Beau might try to jump in.
(Back at the Quiddich Pitch)
The Bludger was flying through the stands as Harry even flew pass screaming Slytherin's with the Bludger close on his tail. It took some careful broom flying and skill on Harry's part, but he was able to avoid being hit by the Bludger. Harry then was able to get the Bludger to the Ravenclaw stands as it seemed to have gotten lost in there.
Harry soon flew to the center "Training for the Ballades Potter?" Draco asked with a cocky smirk at Harry, but Harry didn't have time for that when he heard the familiar sound of the Snitch. Harry looked and saw the Snitch flying about behind Draco who didn't seem to notice. Just then the Bludger returned and both Harry and Draco dodged it before Harry began chasing the golden snitch. When Harry nearly bashed into Draco, he finally noticed the Golden Snitch and also began to give chase himself.
Draco bashed his elbow into Harry to force him back from the Snitch while Harry continued to give chase. It didn't take long in the chase for the two to end up in the area between the pitch and the stands as Harry saw the Bludger was still chasing him.
Harry was behind Draco as he was getting closer to the Snitch, but Harry was right on his tail. Draco looked at Harry and scoffed at him seeing a worthless Half-Blood trying to beat his betters. "You'll never catch me, Potter!" Draco taunted as Harry was getting annoyed with the ponce. Just then seeing a gap to exploit Harry sped up and went for it zooming past Draco towards the Golden Snitch.
Draco would now allow this and began to work his Broom to go faster and in turn ended up speeding up riding side by side with Harry. Draco then hit Harry with his elbow again to force Harry to back off and leave the Snitch open for Draco to get and hopefully see him fall before the Bludger.
The two then ended up passing by Fletcher who was taking a picture of the two which they avoided as he then screamed just before dodging the Bludger. The two Seekers were soon flying forth as they kept trying to get away from the tampered Bludger as best they could. Soon the Bludger flew through the wall after bouncing side to side to build momentum. But then all of a sudden, the Bludger was lost through the wall and seemingly out of their hair for the moment. But before either Seekers could breathe a sigh of relief the Bludger reentered the area with Harry dodging first easily avoiding the object. Draco was a bit behind which in turned proved to be his downfall as he lost control of his Broom and hit a wooden beam sending him flying upward into the field forming a split hurting himself hard.
This left Harry free to go after the Snitch as he got ever closer to the Golden ball with wings. As Harry began to reach out to the Golden Snitch Bludger soon came in as Harry didn't see it as it hit his right arm knocking the safety gauntlet off and most likely breaking said arm. What no one knew was that Harry had the Dragon Booster Gauntlet on his right arm which absorbed most of the blow but not enough for him to be able to use his arm without feeling any pain. With his right arm in pain Harry was forced to rely on his left arm to retrieve the Snitch before the Bludger got a second blow in on him.
Harry was soon able to grab the Snitch before he lost control and flipped off his broom landing in the sand part of the Field. Everyone was shocked by this as Beau saw the scene as well before roaring and moving to go to Harry. Hermione, Ron, and Hagrid also went down there to help Harry knowing full well he might be hurt. Harry held the snitch glad he won as the announcer saw this. "Harry Potter had caught the Snitch Gryffindor winds!" The student announcer called out as Harry smiled at his victory today, now to deal with the Bludger trying to kill him. Just then the Bludger came down and in turn Harry rolled out of the way as the Bludger slammed down where his head used to be. The Bludger tried again opting Harry to roll out of the way again and on the third attempt Harry opened his legs narrowly having his crotch hit by it. Just as it was about to go for a third blow Beau roared and fired a Mag shot on the Bludger holding it in place as it struggled to get free.
Hermione ran in and saw what was happening and looked to Wyldfyre. "Wyldfyre!" Hermione began and thus the Dragon added her own Mag shot to Beau's causing the Bludger to hold still. Drawing her wand Hermione took aim and proceeded to cast a spell on it. "Finite Incantatem!" Hermione invoked causing the Bludger to stop just before it dropped to the pitch harmlessly.
Once the Bludger was dealt with everyone began to surround Harry who was clutching his arm in pain. "Are you ok?" Hermione asked her voice etched deep with concern.
"No... I think, I think my arm is broken." Harry said as he held his arm feeling the pain that was in it. Hermione of course quietly removed the Gold Gauntlet from Harry knowing it was on the arm that might be broken.
"Not to worry. I will fix that arm of yours straightaway," the DADA teacher, Professor Lockhart said to harry as the boy who lived looked very worry at this due to Professors track record thus far wasn't great, he was a lousy teacher, and all he's talk about is what he done in his books as Harry said, "No. Not you."
"Boy doesn't know what he's saying, "Lockhart said as he rolled up Harry's arm sleeve of his right arm as he went on saying, "This Won't hurt a bit."
Hermione cringed a bit to the site of Harry's arm, Harry wrench in pain with the professor touching his arm like that, and Ron was curiously looking what is about to happen as Lockhart pull out his wand, pointed it at Harry's arm as he said casting out a spell, "Brackium Emendo!"
A soft glow came out from his wand with Harry's arm suddenly went limp for some reason, as when Lockhart lift up Harry's arm it was all wiggly and stuff as if all the bones in arm had vanish as everyone was gross out by this with Hermione and Harry looked very worried by this as now Harry had a useless arm and cannot become the dragon booster if the moment arise for it as Professor Lockhart said, "Yes, well, that can sometimes happen... but the point is..."
The professor bent Harry's arm back a bit showing how flexible the arm is with no bones while he said, "You can no longer feel any pain and, very clearly, the bones are not broken."
"Broken? There's no bones left!" Hagrid shouted which Harry's arm flex back down in a jiggle manner. Meanwhile Beau heard this and looked to the incompetent professor giving him a death glare while growling very loudly before giving a roar to the professor. This of course made the incompetent fool back away in fear as Harry held Beau back and said, "Steady Beau, steady!"
(Scene break, hospital wing)
to the site of Draco moaning in pain as a few of his teammate and his two friends were there watching over him as Poppy Pomfrey, the school nurse came running in with a bottle that had a skeleton look to it as she said, "Mr. Malfoy, stop making such a fuss. You can go!"
Pretty much saying that he was fine despite the pain, as she made her way over to Harry's bed as it seemed almost everyone from Gryffindor was there at his bed minus the dragons as they were just outside the room knowing there were not allow in at the moment were there as Poppy said to everyone, "Out of my way. Out of my way!"
Everyone moved quickly as the Nurse Poppy went over to Harry's side as she said, "Should have been brought straight to me. I can Mend bones in a heartbeat, but growing them back..."
"You will be able to, won't you?" Hermione question as she knew Harry was needed as the dragon booster and no telling when the next attack will come as Nurse Poppy said, "I'll be able to, certainly. But it'll be painful."
Nurse Poppy uncorked the skeleton bottle and pouring the potion into a cup while she said, "You're in for a rough night, Potter. Regrowing bones in a nasty business."
Harry took the cup and start to drink it, but once the stuff hit his tongue, he looked like he was about to puke before spitting out the stuff while giving a very bitterly look on his face as Beau could not help but give a laugh at that, with Nurse poppy said, "What do you expect? Pumpkin Juice?"
Nurse poppy sighed to this as she poured another cup for Harry, hopefully he'll drink it down this time as Hermione came over to Harry's side and said, "Here I know a trick that could help, you drink it while I'll hold your nose."
"Thank Hermione," Harry said as he took the cup again, with Hermione held his nose, he hesitate for a bit before downing it and held it as the bitter look on his face return but he was able to swallow it down before letting out a gasp of air while Hermione let off as Nurse poppy took the cup and said, "Thank you Miss Granger. Now for most of you scatter off the lot of you, now only a few visitors at a time!"
Soon enough everyone except for Ron and Hermione left while Nurse Poppy set the cup down and said, "I'll be back to check on you later Mr. Potter, rest for now and prepare for the growing pains."
She left leaving the golden Trio alone as Hermione look towards harry and ask, "What are we going to do?"
"Well, we can play some wizard chess?" Ron suggested as Hermione look at him with a disappointed look as she held up the gauntlet and said in a low tone as Draco and his goons were still in the same room as them, "Not that, this. What about Harry? He can't become the Dragon Booster as he is."
"I'll be fine Hermione, but until my arm bones grows back, bring it to Mortis, he'll keep it safe until then," Harry said as Hermione look to him as she said, "Are you sure?"
"I'm sure, I can't fight or ride Beau like this anyways, until I'm healed, we can't let someone else take it," Harry said knowing how powerful the dragon booster armor is it was worthless without the amulet that Harry was still wearing thankfully as Hermione nodded as she understood as harry said, "I guess I won't be the dragon booster tonight, hopefully nothing happens."
"Hopefully, get well Harry," Hermione said as she leaned in and hug him for a bit before letting off while Ron said to Harry, "We'll see you tomorrow, Harry."
"See you guys later," Harry said as soon enough Hermione and Ron left with the Gauntlet in hand, and Wyldfyre following Hermione out while Beau walk into the wing and came up right next to Harry as he lay right next to him on his left as Harry reach out and pet him on the head while he said, "Thank you Beau, for saving me."
Beau nods as he lay his head down as he wasn't going to leave his rider anytime soon, with Draco being helped up by his friends and teammates, he was looking very jealous towards the site, having a loyal dragon at his side, it was bad enough he was beaten in Quidditch after crashing as well, but having a dragon as a familiar just seem like a royal status, even the few fellow Slytherin classmate who had dragons on their own were always being acknowledge by the higher peers of his house making a silent vow he'll show everyone with a dragon of his own someday before leaving.
(Later that night)
AS Harry was sleeping peacefully, or at least try to with the bones in his arm has started to grow, the pain was from it was... well pretty much painful with Beau at his side helping him to endure it, then suddenly the heavy slithering sound is heard with a voice speaking that caught both Beau and Harry's attention as it said, "Kill...kill!"
That was enough to make Harry open his eyes with Beau lifting up his head while giving a warning growl, knowing the Basilisk was on the loose once again as the two looking around to figure out where the sound is coming from as the voice spoken, "Time to kill."
Harry grabbed his glasses look around from the ceiling down to the foot of his bed and meet with the site of a familiar house elf that was at his house before as he said, "Hello."
"Dobby?" Harry said as Beau growl at Dobby with harry holding him with his only good arm as Dobby backs away from the dragon and went on the other side of the bed as Dobby started to say, "Harry Potter should have listened to Dobby."
"Harry Potter should have gone back home when he missed the train," Dobby said as at that point Harry realize what had happen to him and Ron before at the start of the school year as he said, "It was you. You stopped the barrier from letting Ron and me through."
"Indeed. Yes, sir," Dobby said as Harry looked upset by this as he said to him, "You nearly got Ron and I expelled."
"At least you would be away from here. Harry Potter Must go home," Dobby said as he gotten very close to Harry which Beau almost leap at Dobby making him back away as, "Please keep that dragon away Dobby meant you harm, as Dobby thought his Bludger would be enough to make Harry Potter see-
"Your Bludger? You made that Bludger chase after me?" Harry said with Beau growl even angrier making Dobby back away more as Dobby said, "D-Dobby feels most aggrieved, sir. Dobby had to Iron his hands."
Dobby shows his hand as Harry saw there were some bad burns on the house elf's hands as Harry said sounding still upset about the Bludger incident, "You better clear off before my bones come back, or I might strangle you."
AS Dobby tries to run away only for Beau to catch the house elf in midair with his Mag shot which made Dobby panic a bit as Dobby said, "Dobby is used to death threat, sir! Dobby gets them five times a day at home."
Harry came up to Dobby while he was suspended in the air by Beau as he said to him, "I don't suppose you could tell me why you're trying to kill me?"
"Not kill you, sir. Never kill you," Dobby said as he tries to move his fingers, but Beau increase his power to make the house elf go stiff too while keeping him up as the house elf said, "D-dobby remembers how it was before Harry Potter Triumphed over, He-who-must-not-be-named. We house-elves were treated like vermin, sir."
That made harry stop to think of what Dobby said and how he was treated by his aunt, uncle, and fat cousin as they make him to all the housework and stuff before Hogwarts with Dobby went on saying, "Of course, Dobby is still treated like vermin."
Harry just let out a breath as he knew he was feeling bad for the little guy as he said, "Beau, let him go." as Beau looked to his rider before Harry looked at him in the eyes and said, "Please."
Beau lowered his head a bit with a breath coming out before he stopped his mag shot and release the house elf, as Dobby drop down thankfully not far as he recovered soon enough as he said, "Dobby thank you, sir for your kindness."
He started cry a bit before blowing his nose into that rag of a shirt he is wearing while harry looked a bit disgusted as he questioned Dobby, "Why do you wear that thing, Dobby?"
"This, sir? It is a mark of the house-elf's enslavement," Dobby said with a sad tone before Dobby went on saying, "Dobby can only be freed if his master presents him with clothes."
Suddenly there was a ruckus going out outside in the halls as Dobby freak out as he hopped on Harry's bed before he said, "Listen... Listen. Terrible things are about to happen at Hogwarts. Harry Potter must not stay here... not that history is repeat itself."
"You mean you knew the Basilisk had been released before?" Harry said as Dobby was freak out by that as Dobby said, "You know of the beast already sir? If Harry Potter know of it, then he knows he must leave."
"I'm sorry Dobby but I can't leave, even now. Hogwarts needs me now more than ever," Harry said which surprise Dobby even more as Harry said, "IF you know what's been going on, tell me, who has been releasing Basilisk, when did this all started?"
"I do not know who, Sir. Dobby, swear he doesn't know who, only what is," Dobby said as Harry was confused about that as he asked Dobby, "What is causing this then, is it something dealing with the human dragon wars, Voldemort, anything?"
"Dobby cannot say, sir. Dobby doesn't know of this human dragon war, but Dobby only wants Harry Potter to be safe," Dobby said as it sounded like he was going to keep the secret of whoever is behind this to his grave as Harry said, "No Dobby, tell me who or what is doing this."
Before harry could get any answer, the loud sound were coming close to the hospital wing with Dobby quickly snap his finger and vanish, leaving Harry and Beau by themselves as they heard voices now, Harry Quickly got back into bed and cover up pretending he was asleep with beau keep up and look what is happen as a few of the teachers were coming in with nurse poppy as the nurse said, "Put him here."
behind the teachers were a few others that was carrying a stretcher with a student holding a camera in it, and he was very petrify like the last one that harry had founded as Poppy question, "What happened?"
"There's been another attack," Dumbledore said as Professor McGonagall said to the nurse, "I think he's been Petrified, Madam Pomfrey."
As they got the student on the bed softly as Professor McGonagall said, "Look. Perhaps he managed to take a picture of his attacker."
Dumbledore took the camera and roll it up so they can develop the film, but when he opened it up the film exploded destroying any evidence of who could have sent the Basilisk as McGonagall said, "What can this mean, Albus?"
"It means...That our students are in great danger," Dumbledore said as Harry listen carefully while McGonagall ask him, "What should I tell the staff?"
"The truth. Tell them Hogwarts is no longer... safe. It is as we feared, Minerva," Dumbledore said as Harry listen more closely as Dumbledore said, "The chamber of secrets has indeed been opened again."
As Harry laid there he was left in shock as to what this may entail not only for himself but his friend as well as Beau. He didn't want to return to the Dursley's and even though he knew Sirius was free as well as innocent of any crimes he didn't know if Sirius was healthy enough to be his guardian. Beau sensed his rider's unease and thus Harry saw everything begin to add up.
He wanted a normal school year but that would not happen because of the blasted Basilisk. But all of a sudden on his good hand he felt Beau move his head to his palm which got Harry's attention on the Dragon. "I'll be fine boy." Harry said quietly as he rubbed Beau's head knowing something had to be done and looking at Beau's Bonemark nub Harry realized that the Dragon Booster could do something. Harry already knew what he was hunting and thus once he was ready, he'll be heading out to start hunting.
(Meanwhile with Morgana)
Morgana had just departed from another meeting with a rival and thus was clearly annoyed. "Every other day I swear." Morgana said and thus sat upon her chair and focused her power. Just then an artifact appeared before her with the image of an eye on it. As Morgana looked her vision showed a young man on the other side looking back at her. "Shadow Booster." Morgana began as she saw the young man looked to her. "I have a job for you, same pay assassination, information forthcoming." Morgana said and thus Shadow Booster understood.
"Got it." Shadow Booster said and thus Morgana sighed and let herself be.
"One problem dealt with, now for another." Morgana said and thus opened a map of some sort revealing upon it several locations all of which were highlighted for her. "Let's see if I can narrow down any of the Bone Marks." Morgana said as she had experiments to run and also contacts to make. After all, with the Dragon of Legend in the picture she needed to make sure that all things go in her favor preferably before she had to jump bodies again.
(Meanwhile with Mortis)
Mortis was once more in the archive of the Sanctuary as he was looking through the books. He suspected that these attacks on the school may persist and with the Dragons making a return he feared for more to come. He knew the Basilisk was dangerous, but the problem would only become worse should the creature find a Bonemark, and Mortis feared there may be one hidden near the school. Once Harry was healed enough Mortis will tell Harry of this Bonemark, but first Mortis needed to study to narrow down where it was, and which spirit inhabited this Bonemark.
Once Mortis figured that out, he can narrow down and focus his research on everything one will need to know of this particular Bonemark. It wasn't long until he found just what he was looking for which brought him great concern. The map and the image in the book showed to Mortis the image of an eye showing that the closest Bonemark to their location was of the Black Draconium Nation. The Good news was that it wasn't the Vysox the bad news that this Bonemark could be just as bad if given the chance to find a host. If whoever is controlling the Basilisk acquires this Bonemark then almost nothing would be able to stop them.
