Harry Potter and the Dragon of Legend
ESKK: Well Chapter 8 people let's get started.
(Start Dragon Sanctuary)
Harry was seen in the Dragon Sanctuary again as he put the gold Gauntlet back and his right arm. He was thankful Hermione removed it before and now that his arm was back to normal Harry needed to break in the new bones. Harry was just happy to have use of his right arm again as Beau was worried that the arm would stay boneless.
"It seems your back to fighting shape Harry." Mortis said as he approached Harry. "And it's fortunate that you are well now because I have made a startling discovery." Mortis said as he then looked to Harry and Hermione. "Tell me do you two remember reading about Bonemarks?" Mortis asked as he looked to the pair.
"I remember!" Hermione called out as she raised her hand like she was in class still. "From what I read its apparently the spirit of ancient Warrior Dragons who were so powerful in life that their souls lingered as Bonemarks seeking dragons to possessed and continue living through." Hermione said as Mortis nodded to Hermione.
"Yes, I have come to an understanding that one such Bonemark is near the school." Mortis said as this got the trio plus two dragons worried. "This Bonemark belonged to a Red Draconium Dragon known as Furox she fought the original Dragon Booster and Original Beau during the Dragon Human War." Mortis said as this got the group worried.
"These Bonemarks are powerful and in the wrong hands they not only can affects dragons but humans as well." Mortis explained which got the group worried about this. During the entire explanation Beau was having a small episode as his mind showed him images from his predecessor and his fight with the Furox in her prime.
"So, we just avoid it and." Ron began but Mortis cut him off there.
"Avoiding it may not be an option, I fear that if our supposed attacker learns of its power or worse goes to seek it out then once the Furox becomes one with the Basilisk." Mortis spoke and thus trailed off as everyone could see the warning in his voice.
"So, what are the chances our attacker already knows about it?" Harry asked knowing the book Hermione read was still in the library.
"That the Bone Marks Exist? Very high, that one is near the school only a matter of time." Mortis added as he looked to the trio and thus, they knew if this unknown foe finds the Bonemark first then they might be able to actually kill someone with the Basilisk.
"Well, we can't just drop our lessons and go hunt it down, and we won't be able to go to Hogsmeade till next year." Hermione said as this was becoming a problem for them.
"The temple that holds the Furox is laced with several defenses and traps we can only hope that they can keep our assailant out for as long as possible." Mortis said and thus Harry began to speak up next.
"So, we're decided, we'll leave on Saturday to hunt down this Furox and be back before anyone realizes we're gone." Harry said and thus Ron looked worried about this. "Um before we go Mortis." Harry began as he had another question to ask. "Can you tell us about the Chamber of Secrets?" Harry asked and thus Mortis saw what Harry was asking.
"You seek to stop the Basilisk?" Mortis asked and thus Harry nodded to this. "Then I shall be brief on the matter, back in the olden times the Founders, Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazr Slytherin constructed this school and added their own unique aspect to it." Mortis said as he looked to the group. "But Salazar splintered the four for he believed that only those of pure wizarding blood should be allowed into the school." Mortis explained as he looked to the trio before him. "It was then that Salazar constructed a Chamber of Secrets to hide the Basilisk inside so when the time was right his one true heir would appear and cleanse the school of those who he considered to be impure blood." Mortis recounted causing Hermione to go wide eyed at what Mortis meant.
"So those like me..." Hermione said as she realized that the muggleborns in the school were in danger.
"Yes, I'm sorry you had to hear that." Mortis said and thus Harry knew hunting down the Basilisk was even more important now that Hermione was one of its targets.
(Scene Break Later Hogwarts)
The trio were seen walking through the halls as they were being tailed by their dragons. "So, we need to hunt down a bloody ghost bone that can possess anyone who gets too close, splendid." Ron said with fearful sarcasm as he walked with the group.
"Well, you can stay here with a Basilisk on the loose." Hermione countered as she walked with Wyldfyre.
"But I don't have one of those reptiles!" Ron countered only for Beau to smack him with his tail. "Ow!?" Ron yelped as Beau laughed at Ron's misfortune. "What it's true." Ron argued as he glared at Beau who smirked at Ron and stayed close to Harry.
"Either way Ron, we need to get that Bone mark before it end up in the wrong hands as who know what power that thing hold if it latch onto a dragon, let alone the Basilisk itself," Harry said as the Basilisk may not be a dragon per say but there are some stories are told of wing serpent were a sub species of dragons and over the ages lost their ability to fly with their wings, unknown if this was true or not but Harry didn't want to chance it as he said, "Anyway Ron you may be staying at the school covering for us if needed as there no telling how long we will be gone."
"Great," Ron said with a not so excited tone, no doubt he would be alone during that time as he can't really hang out with any of his brothers and his only sister, with Ginny mostly being a girl and has her own things going on as Hermione said, "We just need a way off the school ground without being caught, and going through the forbidden forest would be quite dangerous even with our dragons."
Harry agree with that as the forbidden forest is filled with unknown creatures beside other dragons, and dangerous trap that someone has been setting up around the forest, thankfully Hagrid has been on top of that of searching for traps around the forest for other dragons to come in safely as recently more student has been bonding with those said dragons, doubling from the numbers of riders that was at the dragon race.
Speak of which unknown to them as the trio and the pair of dragon that was leaving the area of the dragon Sanctuary entry, there was a blue energy dragon coming out from the shadow with a girl wearing Ravenclaws robes and has white hair watch the group go on their way while listening to their plan on sneaking out of the school on the weekend as she said, "It seems things are about to change quickly, aren't they Fracshun?"
The dragon gave a small roar as he was agreeing to his rider while the girl smile and petted her dragon's head a bit before taking off.
(Scene break)
It was Friday with half the day has passed, as right now was a break period for Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they were still trying to come up with a plan to get off school grounds, with most of the school has eyes and ears everywhere they couldn't find a good hiding place until Hermione had the solution and brought them to a girls bathroom.
With the trio now in the bathroom with Beau and Wyldfyre in there with them, as Harry and Hermione lay out a draw out map of the school grounds with some pieces around to show certain locations on as they were setting this up, Ron suddenly ask, "I know we're supposed to be making up a plan to find that ghost mark thing but why are we doing this in the middle of the day, in the girls lavatory? Don't you think we'll get caught?"
"No. No one ever comes in here," Hermione said as he gave a small laugh as Ron question her as he said, "Why?"
"Moaning Myrtle," Hermione said as Harry wondering what she meant with Ron said, "Who?"
Suddenly from behind a ghost of a young girl with glasses came out from a bathroom stall as this surprise Harry, and the two dragons when they saw her with Hermione said again, "Moaning Myrtle."
"Who's moaning Myrtle?" Ron asked as suddenly the ghost girl from behind him suddenly yells at him saying, "I'm Moaning Myrtle!"
Moaning myrtle suddenly floated up above the bathroom sinks behind the group as she turned around looking down at them as she said to Ron, "I wouldn't expect you to know me. Who would ever talk about ugly, Miserable, Mopping Moaning Myrtle?"
She suddenly screams as she flew around the bathroom with the dragons avoided her, while Myrtle goes back into the bathroom stall she came out of and jump into the toilet, splashing water around as Hermione said, "She's a little sensitive."
(Scene break again)
In the Dada class as Professor Lockhart had a special lesson going on as it was a dealing session with a dueling stage set up in the middle of the Great Hall, with everyone who has a dragon with them were keep outside the room, while Lockhart took to the stage as he announced to everyone, "Gather round! Gather round... Can everybody see me? can you all hear me? Excellent."
Lockhart reach one side of the dueling stage as he went on saying, "In light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this dueling club. To train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves, As U myself have done on countless occasions, for full details, see my publish works."
Professor Lockhart suddenly took off a cape he was wearing and toss it into the crowd of students as some girls gasp to this as they reach out to grab it, one girl caught it while other try to take it as well only for it to be rip out of their hands by the said girl, with Lockhart spoken up loud enough for everyone to hear as he said, "Let me introduce my assistant, Professor Snape."
AS some students move out of the way of the walked up to the area as Snape took the stage as well looking... unamused with his opponent as Lockhart went on saying, "He has sportingly agreed to help with a short demonstration. Now I don't want any of you youngsters to worry. You'll still have your potions master when I\m through with him. Never fear."
"As if we're that lucky," Harry said in a low mumble as Ron agreed knowing how much of a pain Snape was to every student, as Lockhart and snap pull out their wands preparing for a quick duel, as they stood face to face before each other, they raise their wands up fast before lowering them down just as quickly before giving a bow to each other and step over to their own side of the dueling stage.
Once they did, both professors took a stance with Lockhart counting as he said, "One... two... three!"
"Expelliarmus!" Snape said as he cast his spell first that shot towards Lockhart, hitting him while sending him flying back, and landed on the stage very hard with almost everyone around laughing at this while some of the girls looked disappointed that their favorite person was just knocked down.
Lockhart recover from while getting up while he said to Professor snape, "An excellent idea to show them that, Professor Snape, but if you don't mind me saying it was obvious what you were about to do. If I had wanted to stop you, it would have been only too easy."
IF people with half a brain would realize that Lockhart was saying is just a load of BS, with Snape knew this as well but didn't want to go along with Lockhart ridiculous speech as he said, "Perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells, Professor."
That left Lockhart a bit baffled for the moment as he kept up his act as he said, "An excellent suggestion, Professor snape. ahh... Let's have a volunteer pair. Potter, Weasley, How, about you?"
AS both boys were about to come up on stage until Snap announce to everyone as he said, "Weasley's wand causes devastation with the simplest spells. We'll be sending Potter to the hospital wing in a matchbox. Might I suggest someone from my own house?"
He went silent as Lockhart wonder what Snape is about to say while Harry took the stage with Snap called out, "Malfoy, perhaps?" he quickly turn around signaling Draco to get up on stage from the side as snap walk off with Lockhart looked a bit worry as he went off to the other side of the stage as Harry walk onto it while passing by him Lockhart said to him, "Good luck Potter."
"Thank you, sir," Harry said as he was prepared to fight with magic as learning how to fight on Beau wasn't the only thing Mortis was teaching him.
The two boys meet up in the middle of the stage and stop just before each other as Lockhart called out, "Wands at the ready."
Soon enough both boys raise their wands before their faces as Draco taunts harry as he said, "Scared, Potter?"
"Are you?" Harry replied back to him which just made Draco mad at that, as soon enough they both lower their wands and turn around without giving a bow to each other and went on their side of the stage, before reaching the end of it, they stopped and turn around as Lockhart said, "On the count of three, cast your charms to disarm your opponent. Only to disarm. We don't want any accidents here."
After that they both nodded to this with Lockhart soon began to count as he said, "One...two-
"Everte Statum!" Draco cast out a spell first with Harry saw it coming and block it with a wordless defense spell which surprise not only Draco but Snape as well, with Harry quickly cast out a spell of his own with Draco was taken off guard by him as harry cast out a spell that was also wordless which take everyone by surprise.
The spell hit sending Draco back, flip him in the air and landed before Professor snape with everyone soon laughing at this.
Snape was confused of how Harry was using wordless spells, as there are not many wordless that can be casted, but Harry did it, as he Pick up his student from off the ground stood him up as Lockhart said, "Very Good Mr. Potter, but I said disarm only."
"Serpensortia!" Draco said as he cast out his next spell which summon forth... a king cobra snake, which freak everyone out as the snake was slithering around and hissing at everyone which also made Harry worry a bit as Snape sigh at Draco stupidity of summing a snake in a duel as he walked up while he said, "Don't move, Potter. I'll get rid of it for you."
"Allow me, Professor Snape," Lockhart said as he pulled out his wand trying to be a showoff as he cast out, "Alarte Ascendare!"
a flash of light hit the snake sending it upwards for a moment before coming back down now looking very pissed off as it stood still looking it could attack at any moment while is hiss around, with Harry walk up to it as he suddenly went, "Sssahesshi!"(sorry to anyone, first attempt of writing in parseltongue)
Beau looked at Harry when he heard him speaking in snake tongue, as the snake itself suddenly turn to one of the students from Hufflepuff and started to hiss at him as it seemed the snake was just ignoring Harry until harry came up to the snake without fear and said again, "Sssahessthay."
the snake keep ignoring him as it give out a terrifying hiss which harry spoken very loudly as he went, "Sssahessthay!" with that the snake stop hissing and turn to harry finally listening as it turns towards him before calming down, with all the student and teacher looking very frighten at what Harry just did with Professor snake took it upon himself to end this now as he said, "Vipera Evanesca."
He pointed his wand at the snake as it shot some sort of incinerate spell as the snake fell back in pain while its body started to burn and turn to ash leaving nothing left of it, with the one student that the snake was hissing out Question harry, "What are you playing at?"
Harry look towards him and wondering what he meant as he saw everyone faces and saw how terrified they were with Beau suddenly rushes in firing his mag shot at him and drag him out of the room with Hermione and Ron suddenly following after them as Hermione quickly jump onto Wyldfyre while also pulling Ron on the dragon as they took off after Harry and Beau.
(Outside)
Beau rushed out of the castle suddenly with Harry still in his mag shot hold, as he was trying to hold on as much as he could until he could not take it anymore and called out, "Beau, stop! Stop at once!"
At that moment Beau stopped and accidently release his mag shot on harry which sent him skidding across the ground a bit with Harry soon groining after that with beau gave an apologetic look towards his rider as Harry soon recover as he gotten up and said, "What's gotten into you?"
Soon enough Harry and Ron show up on Wyldfyre as Ron soon fell off when they came to a stop, and with a loud thud was heard while he said, "Ow!" with Hermione wrench a bit as she said, "Sorry Ron."
"Next time I'm just going to walk," Ron said as he definitely wasn't going to get a dragon of his own more than ever now as Hermione gotten off her dragon and rush over to harry and saw his condition as she said, "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Beau just suddenly acted on his own," Harry said as Ron came up to him as well and said, "When were you going to tell us you were a Parselmouth?"
"I'm a what?" Harry said as he was still confused on what was going on as Hermione clear up the confusion as she said, "You can talk to snakes."
"I know. I mean I accidentally set a python on my cousin Dudley at the zoo once," Ron looked freak out by that as Harry went on saying, "Ah once! But so, what? I bet loads of people here can do it."
Beau roared out a bit to that as if he were saying "No" on that with Hermione got the idea as she said, "Beau right, they can't. It's not a very common gift, harry. This is bad."
"What's bad? If I hadn't told that snake not to attack Justin." Harry started to say until Ron cut him off saying, "No, that's what you said to it."
"You were there. You heard me," Harry tried to argue as Ron said back to him, "I heard you speaking Paraseltongue. Snake Language."
"I spoke a different language?" Harry said surprised by that as Ron just nodded while looking back at Beau as he slightly over his head to this as Harry said, "But I didn't realize- How can I speak a language without knowing I can?"
"I don't know, but it sounded like you were egging the snake on or something," Hermione said giving her truthful input, and if that how it sounded to her it probably did with everyone else putting harry in a bad light at the moment as Hermione went on saying, "Harry, listen to me. There's a reason the symbol of Slytherin house is a serpent. Salazar Slytherin was a Parselmouth. He could talk to snakes too."
"Exactly. Now the whole school's gonna think you're his great-great-great grandson or something," Ron said as Harry instantly said to him, "But I'm not...I can't be."
"He lived a thousand years ago. For all we know, you could be," Hermione said as Harry was started to wonder if he was, but his thought was cut short as a soft voice call out saying, "He's not related to him at all."
This surprise the group to see another student outside who was on a dragon on her own wearing a Ravenclaw's robe while she was holding up a book as it seems she was reading it but lower it down showing who she is, pale skin with hair almost pure white as she look at Harry as she said, "IF he was, Beau wouldn't have bonded with him."
Harry was surprised by this as he turned to Beau on that as he wonder if that was true with Beau understood and nodded as Harry turn back to the girl and said, "I'm sorry, who are you and... how would you know if Beau would bonded with me or not."
"I'm Luna, Luna Lovegood, and how I can tell because I can see fleur-dewings around you harry, your pure of heart and care for your friends, otherwise you wouldn't be the Dragon booster," Luna said which surprise the trio of this as harry said, "H-how?"
"They told me." Luna responded as Ron just stood there surprised by her. "Oh, hello Ronald." Luna greeted and thus all eyes went to Ron.
"Do you know her?" Hermine asked as she looked to Luna.
"Sort of everyone has been calling her Loony Luna lately." Ron began only for Fracshun to cut Ron off as he growled when Ron saw Loony Luna. Beau in response slapped Ron with his tail again causing Ron to yelp in pain. "Anyway, she and her dad live near my family, she's friends with Ginny." Ron said glaring at Beau who glared back at Ron.
"Actually, its Ginny that I'm worried about." Luna said which got everyone's attention on her. "Ever since I got Fracshun he had been unfriendly to Ginny but prior to that Ginny had been acting odd in the classes I share with her." Luna said as she looked to the trio and two dragons. "I don't know exactly what it is, but she has a lot of Wockersports in her head." Luna said as she had that strange, dreamy look in her eyes.
"What do you think is wrong with her?" Harry asked as he was willing to hear Luna out.
"I... don't know." Luna admitted as she looked to the group, but she knew something was wrong. "I overheard your plan so I was hoping Ron being her brother I thought he could ask her." Luna said as she knew without a dragon Ron could approach Ginny about her problem whatever it was.
"I mean sure I could see what is bothering her but what about." Ron began and thus Luna smiled to Ron.
"Oh, thank you, hopefully you can help Ginny remove those horrid wackespurts." Luna said and thus it became clear that Luna basically just drafted Ron to help with this. "In exchange I'd like to help in your hunt for Ms. Furox." Luna said as she looked to the trio who were shocked to hear how much Luna knew. "I'm sure she's lonely trapped in that temple for so long." Luna added as she looked to the group with eyes showing her a tad bit detached from reality.
"Temple?" Hermione asked as Luna nodded.
"Yes, a friend from Hufflepuff and I like to explore the outside of it a lot during our free periods." Luna said as this got the groups attention. "He has a nice drawing that can help us, I can invite him also. He isn't aware but I think he could be soon." Luna said and thus Harry sighed knowing they would need the help for this.
"Alright." Harry said knowing he had no choice because for all he knew Luna may just spill the beans on Dragon Booster and who he was under the mask.
"Bloody Hell." Ron cursed causing Wyldfyre to slap him with her tail this time around.
(Scene Break Morgana)
Morgana was in her office as she saw images showing the temple where the Furox was kept. She knew where several Bonemarks were hidden away and had them closely monitored. Ever since she acquired her Shadow Booster, she had been making strides in ensuring that the other four Boosters appeared. She set the game board in her favor and so far, the Dragon Booster had proven to be the most difficult to make rise for. It was because of the Dragon he rode that Morgana had to carefully move her pieces to where they needed to be. The Black and Gold Dragon was all but extinct with the original Dragon Booster having the last one.
Thankfully the Dragon Booster handled that problem all on his own without realizing he played right into her hands. After acquiring the Shadow Booster, she scrubbed most of the other Black Draconium Bonemarks from her list bar 8 special Bonemarks that she planned to look into later. Right now, she only had to worry about the last three colors, red, green, and blue. Many Hogwarts Students have shown the makings but very few were of any note for her to manipulate into the locations of the other three Gauntlets and/or amulets. And even then, the Dragons they would ride need to be pureblooded of those three colors.
The Shadow Boosters dragon was a lab accident when she was experimenting on gene splicing to create an army of pureblooded Black Draconium Dragons. The other experiments failed yet somehow the Shadow Boosters Dragon survived the blast and was forever transformed. Of course, she got out to avoid any more experiments where she eventually met her rider and thus Morgana had set the stage for him. Send him equipment, money, and most of all the amulet and after she guided him to where the gauntlet was hidden away at, kept creating her Shadow Booster. He only recently became whole after she pointed him to the Vysox and thus she now had a new warrior to fight for her in the coming war. But first he needed more nurturing and thus she simply kept him on a leash making him think he was in control.
Zooming in on the Furox lair she simply waited for the right moment. If they can get the Furox attached to a Red Draconium Dragon and it can control it, then Morgana had her top listing for the Fire Booster and if not, she moves on and tries again. But the only sure way she can find them is through Libris but alas that Grey Bone Dragon had not been seen for centuries and more the horn to summon him had gone missing. Morgana had yet to find it and until she did, she had to find the Boosters the old-fashioned way.
"Well then, let's see if you unknowingly have the Fire Booster with you my new Dragon Booster." Morgana said as she smiled knowing that come the weekend the Furox would be discovered.
(Scene Break Saturday)
After hiking through the Forbidden Forest Harry, Hermione, and Luna stood before the entrance to the Temple and saw that it was shaped like a dragon. "Well, this seems to be the place." Harry said as he looked at the large structure before him.
"Almost like a small ember." Luna said which got their attention. "Almost like it still tries to burn even though its time had long since passed." Luna added as Harry saw it did have a certain air around it.
Just then they heard stomping sounds and thus looked to see Oliver Grant appear as he was on his Bull Dragon Cyrano. "Sorry I'm late Luna." The Dark-skinned young Wizard greeted as he arrived before them.
"It's alright, Oliver." Luna responded with a smile on her face.
"So, it he...?" Oliver asked as he the Hufflepuff gestured to Harry and Beau.
"Yes." Luna nodded causing the pair to go wide eyed to this.
"Luna, you said you wouldn't tell!" Hermione yelled as Luna tilted her head in a sort of ditzy like movement.
"But I had to, he needed to know if he was going to help you now and in the near future." Luna said as if that was a fact of life.
"I won't tell I promise!" Oliver said as Beau looked at Cereno and Fracshun.
"It is already too late as is." Harry said as he knew they had to take it in stride for now. "Come on." Harry said and thus he began to lead the group of four into the Temple of the Furox. But unknown to any of them they were quietly being followed from behind as they're pursuer saw them enter the old ruins.
(Later Inside the Temple)
The four dragon riders walk through the temple and came into a large room with pillars all around, no doubt keeping the temple standing after so many years as Hermione said, "This place is something else, I mean I read about the temple in the books, but it never told how grand it is from the inside."
"That this place is really something else," Oliver said as he was very amazed by the temple itself, the structure and the architecture itself was something that is not seen in Hogwarts, no doubt the temple was build many years ago before Hogwarts itself as Harry said, "Come on and stay focus, there no telling what sort of traps we may run into."
"We won't be running into any traps just yet, this is just the entry halls, the corridor that leads to the mark is what we should be worried about," Hermione said as Luna give a smile and said, "This place does quite give a nice welcoming."
"Let just stay alert, there's no telling if the enemy knows this place or not," Harry said as suddenly someone or something ran by them and by the sound of it, the sound of a dragon running as Oliver said, "Someone here!"
"I'll go after them! Try to cut them off Harry!" Hermione said as she went rushing after the unknown rider as Harry said, "Got it!"
Harry pulled out his Medallion and reach for the star crest into as he pulls it out, holding it up as he called out with his voice echoing through the hall, "RELEASE THE DRAGON!"
Placing the crest into gauntlet on his as it released the golden energy within as the Golden armor form around harry starting from the arms up, the dragon-head-shaped shoulder pads and boots form. A Blue and Gold helmet dragon shape helmet form around his head as well a scale chest plate came forth on harry covering his entire body in the armor, with Beau transform into his black and Gold form with fins and armor plates form around its legs with the saddle giving a black leather look with a gold trip on it, with harry now as the Dragon Booster stood ready for battle.
Soon enough he took off himself trying to catch up and cut off the unknown rider, while Hermione was right behind them, what she saw was a cloak figure riding on a dragon similar to Wyldfyre but with a deep red color to it with yellow highlight scales to it as Hermione keep chasing down the dragon rider itself, she saw the corridor just up ahead as it seem they were about to reach it, the dragon booster arrived just in time and catch the hooded dragon rider slightly off guard as they suddenly stop before they could reach the corridor, as Harry said, "Leave this place dragon rider, the Furox is not something to be trifled with."
The rider didn't stay anything as they keep looking ahead as suddenly they pull out their wands as they cast out "Bombarda!" then a sudden explosion happen, covering Harry site with dust and smoke as the dragon rider ride pass harry as Hermione follow after them with harry and Beau recover from the blaster took off after the two as well as they enter the corridor as they came upon the first trap when a rune symbol on the ground suddenly glows when it was step on, from above and the sides giant guillotine came forth moving fast as they try to block or kill anyone that tries to get through, showing this was a test for any dragon riders that comes through.
All 3 riders avoided the giant blade as they ran pass them before they could touch them, and jump over some that tries to block their path, with Harry was prepared for such thing, Hermione had barely gotten started on her own training and was able to avoid the traps herself, but barely as she and Wyldfyre didn't have a lot of time to practice, with any training they did gotten were being put to the test, with the unknown dragon rider ahead was easily doing it, but with her reacting it seem off as they just keep on running at full speed, as soon enough all three riders had passed through the first trap.
The next hall was lay with a similar trap to the first, as with 2nd seem to be just as deadly as large stone block came forth smashing into each other and came down to block or try stop any dragon rider still if they don't crush said rider that is as Harry keep up well enough with Hermione putting all of her still to the limits as they follow behind the unknown dragon rider getting through with ease as well, while ahead the largest stone block was coming down as the unknown rider and Harry got pass it before it came down, with Hermione path was blocked but she wasn't giving up just yet as she said, "Come one Wyldfyre, we can do it, we just have to believe we can!"
At that moment as Wyldfyre give a roar feeling Hermione emotion to beat this trap, as suddenly both her and the dragon glow as they suddenly went faster than before, as Hermione didn't realize it yet, she was tapping into her dragon's power as their speed increase even more, as soon enough they took a large leap over the stone block and pass over it with ease while they both landed down safely and keep on running through the 2nd hall way.
After that, they came out from the 2nd trap unscathed, but now the 3rd last room could be the most dangerous of all the halls as the path ahead was narrow and winding, with many stone dragon head figures were on the walls with a gap in their mouths.
Ahead at the end of the path way seem to be the entry way to the Furox as there was a box floating in the air with a powerful glow around it, as when the unknown dragon rider suddenly went full speed unaware they step on another rune symbol activated the traps as they soon were dodging projectiles coming at all of them while the entry way at the end was closing down as the gear started to move as Hermione called out, "The doors are closing!"
"We need to stop it before it can close on us," Harry said as knowing if they do make it pass the entry, they would most likely be trap on the other side, as Hermione try to coming up something while dodging the projectiles, then Hermione look at the gears and came up with an idea, while she pull out her wand and call out, "Accio Stone!"
Summon forth one of the stone ahead that fell down from above, as it came to her hand, she took aim at the gear and throw the stone as hard as she could, the rock soon got jammed into the gears, stopping them from closing the entry any further.
"Ok that solves one problem, but that rider is still going after the Furox." Oliver said as Hermione chased down the rider in question. Once they got close enough the rider began to reach for the box but in response Hermione acted.
"Accio Furox!" Hermione invoked and thus the Furox flew over to her. In response the Rider went and magged the Furox her way trying to force it away from the spell. But the Mag energy was stronger and since it was a red color like attracted like forcing the spell to cancel and the Furox's container to come to the riders waiting hand.
The rider then looked at the box with a cold look before they reached out and pressed a switch at the top of it. Once it was done the box opened and from it a crest rose out shaped like a fireball. Just then the rider began to shake their head before looking around in confusion. "W-what how did I get here?" The Rider now identified as female asked as Hermione recognized the voice.
"Angelina?" Hermione asked and thus taking a closer look she saw the Dragon was her dragon.
"Granger?" The Gryffindor Quiddich player asked as she saw Hermione here. "Where are we? How did we get here?" She asked as Hermione realized the rider was clearly being manipulated by someone to get the Furox.
"It's complicated but you need to put that thing down." Hermione said gesturing to the Furox opting Angelina to look at this.
"This old thing, sure I mean yes it looks nice and this feeling from it..." Angelina trailed off as she was mesmerized by the Furox with a whispering sound reaching her ears. "So pretty... so beautiful." Angelina spoke as she gazed upon the Furox feeling the raw power radiating off of it.
"Angelina put that down, now." Hermione urged but then Angelina glared at Hermione.
"NO!" She snapped causing Hermione to jump a bit. Hermione looked and saw that Angelina's eyes were now red and her face was adorned with what she could only assume was some sort of tribal warpaint. "It's mine! This whatever it is, it chose me it's mine!" She yelled clearly the Furox had Angelina under its thrall. "And with it no one can ever match up to me!" She yelled and in turn her Dragon, Forge, magged the Furox and thus the Bonemark filled Forge with its power.
Forge began to undergo a startling mutation as the Bonemark forcibly drew out as much of its Red Draconium power as it could ensuring that only the Red Draconium is dominant in its body. Cleary Forge could not handle or control it as he was not a purebred Red Draconium Dragon like the Furox was. Forge's eyes changed to a bloodthirsty red color as his body began to gain spikes and change its tone becoming more like the Furox whose soul inhabited the Bonemark.
Eventually the transformation came to an end as the Furox controlled Forge roared at Hermione and Wyldfyre showing that its rage had not been quelled after centuries of imprisonment. Hermione was wide eyed to this but just as Forge and Angelina was about to attack Harry in his Dragon Booster armor showed up and had Beau bash into Forge forcing him away from Hermione. Once that was done Forge and Beau roared at each other showing rage to the other as they roared out.
The two Dragons then went at each other clawing and biting into each other as they did battle. Beau may have been tamed but he was still a wild dragon when Harry met him, and some instincts never truly left the Black and Gold Dragon of Legend. The Dragons parted from each other and circled each other growling and hissing ready to battle further. The Furox recognized Beau and Harry as the same pair from the Dragon Human War who had saw his body destroyed and his soul trapped in his Bonemark. The Furox was no doubt itching for long overdue revenge against the Dragon Booster and his Dragon and was ready to enact it here and now.
Beau of course was not his predecessor, but he had enough of his blood to know that the Furox had to be stopped and the Dragon and Rider whom it was controlling needed to be freed. As the two Dragons circled each other from the sidelines Wyldfyr with Hermione jumped in and began attacking Forge. Forge fought back while under the Furox's control fought back to defend himself. Wyldfyr then bit down on Forge's neck causing the Dragon pain before it proceeded to glow and mag Wyldfyr forcing her off. Wyldfyr slid on the ground glaring at Forge and roared at him.
Forge saw that he was outnumbered and with a snarl made a beeline for the exit. "It's trying to escape!" Hermione called out as she saw what was happening.
"We have to stop it." Harry said knowing what could happen if a Dragon controlled by the Furox were to escape.
Just then from the entrance way came Oliver and Cereno as the pair charged into the area. "Gain way!" Oliver called out and then yelped in fear when he saw the Furox possessed Forge coming in. With a scream of panic Oliver began to turn his Dragon around to avoid the dragon. But it seemed that played in his favor because Forge ended up crashing into Cereno's side and thus being thicker the Bull-Dragons body was able to stop and force the crazed dragon leaving it dazed and disoriented.
"Well done." Luna said as she and Fracshun arrived next praising Oliver who laughed nervously.
"Well, that's great but what do we do now?" Oliver asked with concern on what their next move should be.
"We need to get the Bonemark off of Forge somehow." Hermione said to which Oliver was worried.
"Ok how?!" He asked and in turn Beau then had a small flashback to that vision he had.
Beau then roared and thus Luna smiled knowing the Black and Gold Dragon had an idea. "I believe our Dragon of Legend may have an idea." Luna said and in turn Beau was ready to act. Focusing his power to his own Bonemark Beau began to use the move his predecessor did to defeat the Furox in the past. In turn Cereno, Fracshun, and Wyldfyr all began to glow with their respected Draconium colors which were then drawn into Beau's Bonemark.
"Attack!" The crazed Angela roared as Forge roared in fury at the group unaware of what was coming.
Just then Beau released the power he built up sending a powerful beam of light at Forge and Angela with a mag blast melded in. The two foes cried out in shock from the surprise as they tried their best to keep standing despite the overwhelming power they were facing. Beau continued the onslaught, and it was clear that the Furox was losing his grip on his host. Soon enough the Bonemark flew off of Forge and thus both rider and dragon passed out on the ground being cut off from the corruptive power of the Furox.
"The Bonemark!" Hermione called out as she saw it land on the ground and head towards the ledge.
"Beau!" Harry called out and thus Beau magged Harry and sent him to where the Bonemark was heading. But alas Harry was too late to stop it and in turn by the time he could draw his wand the Bone Mark was outside the spells range to acquire. It fell to the abyss bellow and with it they hoped that it would be lost forever more.
"Oh dear, well we'll see him again one day." Luna said as if she knew it would appear again one day.
"Luna it's probably gone forever." Hermione said to the odd girl who smiled.
"No, once he finds the right host, he'll become a loyal new friend." Luna said as if the Furox was to be a friend not an enemy. Everyone just gave Luna an odd look starting to see why she was called Loony... but it was almost endearing for them as well.
(Meanwhile with the Furox Bonemark)
At the bottom of the chasm the Furox laid almost forgotten as it would seem it would spend the rest of its days trapped in the cave forgotten and alone. Just then a hand reached out and took the Furox and from it a cloaked figure was seen as it gave the Bonemark a look with glowing red eyes. Clearly this would not be the last the Dragon Booster would see the Furox not by a long shot.
