Sesshomaru waited for Kioko, but instead of her, he found Kagome headed his way, and in an instant, he knew this day was going to suck.

"Miss me already, Miko?"

"You wish." She stood in front of him,

"Why are you here? Where is Kioko?"

Kagome sighed. "I am going to tell you something," She seemed serious; he grabbed her arm and pulled her outside. "Hey!" She protested.

Once they were far enough away, he let her go, and she rubbed her arm. "Do you have to be so rough?!"

She had no idea. "Indeed."

"Anyway, look, and don't kill the messenger," He raised an eyebrow.

"Kioko is in love with someone."

He started at her for a moment,

"As in she doesn't want to be here?" She blinked and crossed her arms. "As in she doesn't want you."

"I am not a fool, woman; I heard you the first time."

She narrowed her eyes. "Well?"

"Why does she not tell me this?"

"Why else? She's afraid of you."

"And you are not?"

Kagome crossed her arms. "You hate it, don't you."

"Am I to assume this is your doing?" He was growing tired of her mouth,

"What!" She unfolded her arms. "I didn't do crap; I just came here to tell you on her behalf, as I said, not everyone wants you, Sesshomaru!"

"Lord," He said flat,

Kagome turned from him. "You're not going to force her, are you?" She spoke softer,

"That is not your concern; send her to me."

Kagome huffed and stomped off but did as she was told. Kioko slowly came and bowed in front of him. "I am sorry, my Lord, Lady Kagome insisted!"

"Of that I am aware, the bitch does not know her place," His voice was as calm as ever to her,

"Forgive me, I know it is not my place,"

"You wish to leave this place?"

"I do not want to dishonor anyone." She was still bowing,

"Rise,"

She did,

"You will leave; I have no need of a woman whose heart belongs to another." Demon Lord he may be, but he wasn't about to force her, and nothing good would come of it. She would be more trouble than she was worth, and he wasn't in the habit of killing men over a woman either plus he didn't care that much for her in the first place.

She bowed again, tears forming. "Forgive me,"

"I shall send a letter to your house with my father's blessing to you."

She raised up, but he was walking away; he would give honor back to her, and she would not be shamed. Kioko ran back to Kagome's room and slammed the door behind her; she was panting; she had held her breath the whole time.

"Kioko?" Kagome and Sango rushed to her side. "Are you okay? What did he say!?" Kagome demanded to know.

Kioko turned and threw her arms around Kagome. "Thank you!"

Sango smiled, and Kagome hugged her back.

"He is letting me go! Honor in tacked an all!" She whispered,

"So you're leaving us?" Sango asked,

Kioko pulled away from Kagome. "Yes, I will miss you both."

"Well, you can come to visit me; in a few nights, I'll be gone too." Kagome smiled; Kikoko shook her head and hugged her newfound friend again. Because of Kagome, she would be able to love.

That night, everyone save Sesshomaru saw the girl off, back to her land, back to her home, back to her love. Kagome waved as her form disappeared.

"Such a stupid girl," Came the words of Leiko; everyone turned to look at her,

"Love is not stupid," Kagome spoke, her tone cold,

Leiko looked at her, uncaring, just like him. "Perhaps it was wise for her to leave; love as you so-called, it does not belong here."

She turned gracefully and began to walk away. "My day is tomorrow, Miko, and trust me, after I am with him, he will not speak of you."

"Well, that's just fine with me!" She yelled at her, but the demoness did not care. "Ugh, why doesn't he just marry her and be done with it!" Kagome stopped her foot.

High above, he watched with uninterested eyes as one demoness left and the human reminded.
