"Welcome to the house of the South, Kagome."

Kagome would be leaving the house of the West, and now.

"Naoko, what about Sesshomaru? He will be angry," Kikyo asked,

"I am aware; I will deal with him."

"How?" Kikyo asked,

"If our houses join, it will not matter," Naoko spoke, then looked at Kagome. "Otherwise, he will seek to kill us both, and war will rage between us."

"You would change this?" Kagome asked, slightly confused.

"You are worth it," Kouga stated, putting a hand on her shoulder. "It was my word as King anyway, and Naoko agreed."

She was worth it? That had to be the first time anyone said anything like that to her.

"Go Kagome, Lord Kouga will fill you in," Kikyo told her,

Kagome nodded and hugged Naoko and Kikyo. Sango would be going with her.

"Inuyasha and I will meet up with you later," Kikyo told Kouga; he only nodded.

Kagome grabbed her bow and bag, and the three of them made their way out of the West. Inutashio watched and sighed deeply. "You, my son, are a fool."

He would not interfere as much as he wanted to. He handed his son a gift, and he threw it away.

Sesshomaru did not return till late at night.

Naoko relaxed when the night went on quietly. Kagome no doubt made it to the South by now. She was glad Leiko was not sticking her nose where it didn't belong; no doubt she would have ratted them out for her own gain. But unknowing to them, Leiko did know something was going on. She had smiled wickedly when she saw the Miko, known as Kagome, run off with Kouga, King of the South.

Of course, she knew nothing of Sesshomaru and Kagome's rut when she devised her plan of attack. She went to his room late into the night, almost dawn. She wore nothing but a grand silk robe with no layers. She knocked on his door and bowed, and waited.

"Begone." It was highly inappropriate for her to be there.

"My Lord, I must speak with you."

He yanked open his door, his eyes pink. "You woman are crossing the line; what right do you have to come here?" She could smell sex on him, but she didn't look too deep into it right away.

"I beg your forgiveness." She bowed, her eyes going to where his manhood was. She stood, and her robe parted slightly, giving him a glimpse of the round of her breast.

He growled and not with pleasure but with warning. She had to act fast.

She threw herself to him. "My lord, please do not be angry with me; you can not blame me for acting."

He grabbed her arms, his claws digging into her arms, his aura bursting. "Do not touch me."

"Yes, my Lord, but then," She pulled back and opened her robes, showing herself fully to him, "Will you not touch your prize?"

He gave her a quick once over and then met her eyes.

"I Only thought you may not wish to wait; why wait when your female is willing and ready."

"Women, what nonsense do you speak? You are not my female, nor my chosen."

She closed her robe. "Do I not win by default, my Lord?"

"Default?" He was confused,

"Naoko has betrayed the West."

He blinked. "Explain."

"Then there is the matter of the human Miko." She laughed. "She also has betrayed the West, and it would seem has chosen another."

His hand was around her throat, red seeping into his eyes. "Where are they."

How had he not noticed?

She pulled at his hands. "Does my Lord truly not know?"

He growled.

"Naoko sent word to her brother; he came earlier, the Miko Kagome, she left with him."

Leiko was thrown against a wall, and in a blink, he was gone. She coughed, holding her throat, but still, she smiled. While her plan did not go as planned, it was still moving in her favor. Or at least that's what she believed.
