"We should look for her," Naoko pulled on Sango's arm.

"Your brother is out there now looking for her. I was on Kikyo's trail when I felt you guys coming this way." Inuyasha told her.

"I will go with Naoko to look for Kagome."

"Better rethink that; she's Sesshomaru's intended." Inuyasha looked between the two of them. "If anything happens to her, you are dead." He looked at Sango.

"Your brother doesn't really want to mate with me."

"K, I know that, but it doesn't matter until he is willing to admit it; you are still his claim."

"We are going," Naoko stated, planting her hands on her hips.

Sango raised an eyebrow; that was a classic Kagome move. It made her smile. "Let's go," Sango said softly. Naoko nodded, and both women looked at Inuyasha.

"I ain't going to stop you," He said, and he watched as both women took off taking the same path Sesshomaru had.

He looked around once more before taking off.

Meanwhile, Kouga was sniffing. He knew his sister was back, as was Sesshomaru. But finding Kagome was more critical than greeting them.

"Kagome!" He yelled. He knew it was stupid to yell with a spider demon out to kill them, but he just felt like yelling. His legs were fast, and his tail was swishing behind him. "I need to find her before he does." He could smell her blood, too, he knew.

"If I were a human, Miko, where would I hide?" He asked as he walked out of the tree line. He looked around in thought until his eyes landed on an old well. "Why the humans put a well in the middle of nowhere is beyond me." But then something dawned on him: "That's the bone eaters well."

Humans would throw the bones of dead demons down it, and they would vanish. A light bulb went off. "Kagome," He whispered and dashed to the well but stopped a few feet away from it. "Kagome, are you down there?"

At first, there was nothing, but then he felt the slightest tickle on his feet, holy power. She was down there. He rushed to the well's lip and looked down; she was there.

"Kagome?" He grew concerned. "I can't see you," He said. He felt another tickle; it was her, she was here.

"I get it you're down there, but I can't see you; we have to get you out of here."

There was nothing. "Kagome, I know; I can smell it on your blood."

Then, the hair on the back of his neck stood up, and he spun around.

"Sesshomaru,"

"Watch your tongue, wolf."

"What are you doing here? Where is my sister?"

"Where is the Miko?"

Kouga folded his arms. "I'll find her." He said smugly.

Sesshomaru snorted. "Foolish wolf, do you still intend to keep her?"

"If she will have me."

Sesshomaru snorted again. "Even though my child grows within her?"

Kouga's arms dropped. "You know?"

"I didn't until her blood reached my nose. Now, where is she?"

"Now you're worried about her?"

"She is pregnant with my pup."

A bust from the well had Kouga moving forward a few feet; then he spun around, putting his back to Sesshomaru.

When the magic stopped swirling, Kagome was sitting on the lip of the well. Her face was red, and tears were streaming down her face, and she had blood on her hands.

"Was!" She yelled, "Was!" She yelled again.

"Kagome, calm down; Naraku will feel you," Kouga spoke calmly.

"Let him come," She didn't care; she would kill him, or he would kill her; either was fine with her.

"Come, Miko; we will return to the West," He walked to her, but her power pulsed and snapped at his feet.

"Don't come any nearer!" She yelled.

He stopped and looked down, then back up at her.

"I'm not going anywhere with you!"

"You would rather return with the wolf?"

Kouga pushed past him. "You can't have my sister and her both."

Kagome's face softened somewhat. "You picked Naoko?"

Sesshomaru stalled,

"If you don't want to mate with me because of the alliance we would have, I won't blame you," Kouga stated, putting her arm around his shoulder to help her up.

Sesshomaru glared at the wolf. "She is in no state to mate anyone," He said darkly. "She is with child."

Kagome limped as they began to walk past Sesshomaru.

"Miko." He stated firmly.

She stopped. "Was," She said calmly.

Then she turned slowly. "Was Sesshomaru; I was with child!"

Goosebumps raised on his skin of their own accord and without his permission.

She turned away from him. "I would never return with you."

Then they vanished into the forest.

Anger seethed through him. He was going to kill Kouga, his brother, perhaps Kikyo, but first, he was going to find the fucking spider and kill him first. Maybe bring him back and kill him again for the fun of it.

She had been pregnant. That in itself had been a great shock, seeing as how he pulled out. But then he remembered gliding back into her, and that's all it takes. Perhaps the need was more significant than he first thought.

But now?

Sesshomaru walked up to the well and touched the blood, and lifted it to his nose. She didn't lie; the smell was already fading. She had lost the baby. Had she stayed, he would have known and would have been able to tell her. Her power and the jewel no doubt were the cause of the loss, and all because of that stupid spider.

All because no one told him.

His power snapped.

He growled, and his eyes turned red,

Someone messed with the wrong demons bitch.
