"Ice Punch, Croconaw!"

"Magical Leaf, Cleffy!"

When both voices called out their moves, the combatants lunge towards each other, Clefairy letting out a barrage of multicolored leaves which stopped its opponent in its tracks which was the opening Leaf needed as she made another command. "Alright, now. Disarming Voice."

Before anything could be done, Croconaw rocketed into a tree, its trainer running towards it with worry only to see that it's unconscious. The teen sighed while she returned the Pokemon, reassuring it before turning to Leaf who is hugging Cleffy. "Nice job!"

"That was a good battle. Man, you're strong." The trainer went for a handshake which the brunette gladly reciprocated. After the battle, she travelled through the route, seeing her silent companion leaning against a tree watching Vulpix, Clef and Meowth playing with a smile while Luxio is sleeping next to him and Beedrill is on his back. He was drawing, cap in the grass with a look of content on his face as the wind goes through his hair, revealing his full face. This result of this scene caused the brunette's face going through a couple shades of pink before she silently takes multiple photos of him. After she's finished, she plopped beside him, leaning on his shoulder which gets his attention while she plays with his hair, making him blush.

"Why, hello handsome." She said seductively, tracing her fingers along his undershirt while looking at him with a flirtatious smile.

"H-hi, Leaf. You were…awesome in that battle." Red commented, trying to look away and pay attention to their Pokemon which failed when Leaf held his face in place, making sure to see every expression presented, her mouth expressing her thoughts. "Red, you know how much I love your voice...and your eyes."

She brought her face close to his, losing her grip of reality into his red shimmering jewels until she was knocked out of her stupor by a rumbling sound, much to her displeasure. They both turn to Beedrill who starts blushing, rubbing its belly and hiding itself behind its trainer, making a smile show on Red's face as he goes over and pets it.

'Sorry...' The Bug type said, looking at the floor with disappointment.

"Don't worry. I'll whip up some food for you." The raven haired teen said to the Pokemon before he gestures them to the Pokemon Center, followed by a pouting Leaf who crossed her arms at the fact that her moment with Red is interrupted.

They then had their breakfast, everyone enjoying their time and laughing when Leaf accidentally burnt her tongue before she had an idea, lunging at her red eyed companion and trying to let him eat the pepper while their Pokemon laugh at the sight except for Meowth who has an somber expression. This did not go unnoticed by Luxio who walks to the Normal type and asks. 'You ok?'

'Huh-oh...yeah.' She answered, looking at the ground. Luxio sighs, walking behind the Scratchcat Pokemon before laying down and wrapping his tail around her. 'I know you're not proud of what you did to her and it's...bothering you. But that means you should go and apologize to her.'

'Yeah. I...overreacted…' She looks at Leaf snickering at Red who has a piece of mustard on his cheek before he squeeze a little ketchup on the brunette, a smirk appearing on his face as he gazes at his work. A smile cross her face as she sees the girl openly flirting with the boy while he uses his cap to cover his face. 'Do you think she'll forgive me?'

'Honestly...maybe.' Luxio said flatly, surprising his fellow feline party member who looks at him in awe before he continues. 'Even if she does, it's gonna take a while until things go back to normal. You see how scared she is of you now. You gotta make up now.'

Meowth simply hummed before returning to her food, taking what the electric lynx said in mind. The day continued as usual as the two teenagers enjoyed themselves, spending time in the city, going from shop to shop and even buying some supplies from the Pokemart and a present for Bill. On their way to the Cerulean Cape, Red and Leaf had to deal with a few battles before they went to visit the Pokemaniac's house, much to the man's glee.

"Hello, Red and ah, Ms. Leaf. How are you both doing?" Bill greeted the red capped trainer who responds with a smile and a thumbs up while the brunette waved. They all enjoyed themselves, Bill surprised by the fact that Red has both a shiny Milotic and Vulpix, both of them geeking at the different Pokemon species earning giggles from their Leaf and the other female Pokemon. After some hours have passed, they had to leave, saying their farewells to the Pokemaniac before something caught Bill's attention when he looks at Red's Pokemon.

"Umm...Red?" The brown haired man said to the teen, motioning the teen to follow him into the other room, asking for Leaf to wait along with the other Pokemon except for Poli and Vulpix who stayed in Red's jacket. As they reach the room, the man went to a computer and starting typing on it while he asks a question that has been on his mind. "Red, I can't help but notice you have over six Pokemon right now. Are you unable to use your trainer's PC account?"

The teen looked at the floor pensively, nodding at the question which made the man turn to him in surprise when he saw the gesture through the screen. Bill looks at the teen in concern before sighing and running his hand through his hair as he looked at the computer. "Look...I saw what happened at the SS. Anne. Weird enough, it seems that it has not gotten your account terminated but it seems that it's…disabled or at the very least malfunctioning. Did you ever use your account before?"

Red thought about the question, something popping to his head that made him type away on his Pokegear, a slight look of discomfort present on his face. "Several years ago, my father will sometimes use my account when he's unable to access my mothers."

Bill raised an eyebrow, coming to the realization that Red had a Pokemon trainer's account before he became one. Usually one was created after a child has graduated from school and deemed worthy for the job. He watched the melancholic expression on the teen's face when he mentioned his father, something he realized that the teen does not usually go into detail on. Red wondered how he would be able to store his Pokemon since he technically does not have a storage account now. He could just not catch Pokemon but he likes to analyze Pokemon habitats and interact with them. He took a sigh, it's going to be hard but it has to be done. His thoughts were interrupted when a hand was placed on his shoulder, seeing Bill who is in deep thought before his eyes gleamed and he snapped his fingers. "Hey, I got an idea!"

He then rummaged through his things to find a yellow box with some blue spherical sections on the top and bottom and then giving it to Red. "This is a portable PC…or I'm thinking of calling it a Pokemon Box. Anyways, you can use to transfer your Pokemon on the go."

Red looks at the item before Bill gestured for him to put a Pokeball on the top which the teen did before it got transported, much to the raven haired trainer's surprise. "It can help you for the time being. It's gonna take a while before you get your account and that's if we're being optimistic."

The young trainer was surprised as he looked at the gift then at the Pokemaniac before he fished his pockets. Bill, realizing what the teen is doing said with his arms raised. "There's no cost, Red. Seriously. Think of it as a thank you for giving me some company today."

This did not assure the silent trainer which made the man scratch his head before he had an idea, saying. "How about this? I'm going to monitor the account that you used along with this box in order to make improvements in the future. So for now, keep it a secret. There is only one of these and it's a prototype anyways so I'm going to need you to let me know your thoughts from time to time with the gadget, alright?"

Red nodded, getting a smile from the man as they both got him registered for the item before they came out of the room, coming face to face with a disgruntled Leaf. They all said their goodbyes, Bill providing them with his phone number before they exited the house. As they both got back on the route and made their way back home, they heard a slap sound that echoed through the air, causing both of them to cringe at the noise.

"Why do I feel a sense of deja vu?" Leaf questioned before both trainers turned to Misty who upon seeing the duo had a surprised look on her face. Seconds passed until Misty sprinted towards the two before hugging the two, surprising both the wandering trainers. Before long, they felt a pain across their cheeks, the orange haired girl pinching them before she let go, making sure to hold Red's own a little longer.

"You two jackasses!" She shouted at both of them, angering Leaf who was about to reply before she was cut off as the gym leader continued. "Do you know how worried I was about you two?! You guys were the only ones that we couldn't find in the rubble after that shit Team Rocket pulled!"

They both could only look in awe before she turned to Red, pointing at him. "And you, No eyes! What the fuck did you think about going alone?! Did you think that you were some hero from a video game?! You could have died!"

"She has a point, Red. In fact, I'm still mad at you dashing off on your own." Leaf chimed in, becoming angry at the silent teen as he could only shrugs, making both of them even more enraged.

"It's by dumb fucking luck that you didn't lose your entire arm there! Next time, think about yourself. There is so much you can do on your own. Don't try to put everything on yourself." She said, a pensive look on her face before grabbing Leaf by the arm, surprising the brunette before ushering her far away from the raven haired teen. Once they were out of earshot, Misty whispered. "What happened with you and your boyfriend? You two had me worried that you kicked the bucket."

"He's not my boyfriend yet!" Leaf said, not seeing the smirk on the gym leader's face before she continued. "We barely made it out. His arm was dislocated and then out of nowhere, we had to..."

She paused, making Misty look at her in concern when the orange haired girl sees the fearful expression on the brunette's face. After a few seconds of silence, she snapped her fingers, taking the young female trainer out of her trance before she looks down. "O-oh. Sorry...we came across...a monster..."

Misty lifted an eyebrow at this. "A monster?"

"Y-yeah...we could not do anything against it...it started fucking everything up, knocking our most powerful Pokemon without even blinking a damn eye. Then when Red was able to get a hit in... Everything. Went. Bad." She started shaking after the memories come into her head from the assault that the Pokemon provided on Red, the nightmare that it gave her. She then explained everything to Misty, having issues going over some topics but was able to go through most of the events, the results being a look of horror and concern on the orange haired girl's face.

"W-wow..." Was all Misty could say before putting a hand on the brunette's shoulder, hoping in some way that it would soothe her fear and pain. "I dunno what to say…but the good thing that you are both ok."

The duo then rejoined with Red, travelling down from Cerulean Cape before noticing police vehicles gathered around a damaged house use on a street along with a crowd of people sporting different reactions. Misty then trotted through the crowd, able to get to one of the police officers before she voiced her concern. "What happened here?"

"Ahh. Hello, Misty. There was a robbery and assault that had happened in this house ten minutes ago. Witnesses say that the person who did it just disappeared from the area without a single trace. It's likely that he has a Psychic or Ghost type but they did not see one." The man in blue explained, looking at the damage with his chin in his palm before he made a speculation in the form of a mumble. "One could only state that whoever he is, he must have a Pokemon with hypnotic abilities or one that can camouflage."

"What? Shit! Where did he go?" She said to which the man responded that they're looking for him and have a search team for him.

During the commotion, Red had a strange feeling on the back of his mind as he looked around before he noticed a Haunter in the crowd, wondering why no one has noticed it before he sees a man in the crowd slowly moving away, about to leave. He followed the man out of the crowd and into the alley where a blur went past him, going into his Pokeball as a grin brought its way across the man's face. Before the man could walk away, neither of the two expected a blast of water to hit the man on the head, sending him rocketing to the wall, the red jacketed teen turning to see Leaf with Wartortle by her side, Misty following her. She then walked into the alleyway before shooting Red a glare, slightly unnerving him.

"Why do you keep running off on your own like that?"

"What the hell-" The hooded man could not continue the sentence when he turned to see an angry Leaf and Misty looming over him, his voice going in a whisper as he swore he saw a dark aura emanating from the duo. The next moment was filled with pure terror while Red puts his hands over Poli and Vulpix's eyes to protect them from witnessing the beatdown that the man got from the two girls, the only thing the Pokemon were able to hear was the thug's screams.

'Another unfortunate soul.' Meowth said as she shakes her head, Red laughing nervously as he sees the brutal assault on the thief, clasping his hands and praying for the man's survival, however small it may be.

Silence.

That was what a bunch of Team Rocket grunts were greeted to when they exited Rock Tunnel, seeing Lavender Town in the distance. One of them spoke into a walkie talkie. "Mission accomplished and targets acquired."

Getting some feedback from the other side of the device and an explanation saying that transportation will be on the way, they put their down their bags, stretched and sat down, resting along the shades that the rock formations created while watching the wildlife.

"I'm not happy with what I did." One of them stated, messing with his beret as he looked at the bags that they brought out of the cave. He heard a scoff from one of the female grunts who looked at him with a sneer on her face. "If you want to have soft balls right now then leave. I can't take weak hearted, small dicked bitches like you."

The other grunts could only wince and snicker at the woman's insults, the person who the words were directed to just simply glance at the sky as he feels the wind goes through his hair. After they spend some minutes in quietude, their mood was interrupted when they hear a tearing sound, turning to that direction to see a bunch of Pokemon near their bags. Smiles spread across most their face as some of them see this as an opportunity to bring some more Pokemon to the boss. Arming themselves with stun batons and whips, they all dashed towards the Pokemon, hurting and capturing some of them. Screams that the normal could bare filled the atmosphere as the grunts ran around, torturing the Pokemon with the weapons they are equipped with before catching them in capsules and throwing them in the bag.

While they were on their violent collecting spree, one of the female grunts heard a sound, turning to see a Cubone freeing some of the captured Pokemon from their Pokeballs, much to the woman's anger.

"Come here, you little shit!" She said, seeing red as she mindlessly chase the Ground type only to be hit from something from her peripheral vision which knocked her to the floor.

"What the fuck?!" Sge said before turning to see a Marowak twirling its bone club in its hand before calling to the Cubone. 'Go, my child! Mommy will be right behind you.'

The child was about to protest before a shockwave sent it flying off the with some of the Pokemon. Everyone turned to see a man with blue hair and a suit that has a 'R' on the pocket who was observing the situation, pointing towards the Pokemon that are escaping, a Houndoom appearing by his side before creating a ring of fire to prevent them from escaping.

"I was honestly elated when you have finished the mission on time and with time to spare before we put our plan into motion however I'm…very disappointed in what I'm witnessing." The man said, looking at the group of grunts with an irritated expression.

"W-we're sorry, Sir Archer." One of the grunts said only to be stopped when the man, now known as Archer glared at them and gesturing them to carry the remaining bags and catch the Pokemon that escaped. The grunts were able to do work and was able to catch almost all of the Pokemon until the admin noticed a Cubone running for its dear life, trying to get a way out of the flames. Readying an Ultra Ball from his pocket, he smirked while getting closer to the Pokemon. Looking for its mother and trying to escape the fire, Cubone bumped into something, looking up to see the sinister smile of the admin who starts to bend down, grabbing it by the arm and lifting it into the air.

"Don't bother struggling." He said, punching the little creature in its stomach before he aimed the ball to its face. "It will all be over soon."

Archer was not ready for what happened next when a bone hit his arm, causing the man to wince while he quickly retreated the appendage and look at the area of damage. After inspecting the now red spot on his hand, the man looked at the evolution with an angry glare while it picks up its young and tries to escape.

"Houndoom." That one word send shivers to those unfortunate enough to hear them. Sparks start to erupt from the black canine's mouth before it shot a stream of flames at the duo, burning Marowak which made it lose its grip on Cubone. The next attack blasted them further, knocking Cubone off into a hole and its mother over the hole. 'Darling. Stay right there, ok? Mommy will be right back. Whatever you do, whatever you hear, do not come out of that hole, understand?'

'Y-yes, m-mommy.' Cubone nodded shakily, tears in its eyes which the mother noticed, touching the little one's face, a proud smile on its face. 'Good. Mommy will be back for you.'

Marowak then noticed Houndoom behind it before lifting a rock and throwing it at the Fire type, the rock being destroyed by a black shadowy beam from its mouth. Getting the black canine's attention, the Ground type started to run the other way while trying to put up a fight which failed when it came onto a dead end, looking at its adversary whose trainer is walking right beside it. "Nowhere to run now, is there?"

It threw its bone at the man but the attack was stopped by Houndoom's flames. The man then stepped on the bone that fell on the ground before his Pokemon sent another move to the Ground type, knocking it to the wall as it looked at them in fear before it glanced at the hole that its child is in with a melancholic expression.

"This will be painless." Archer said, a red glint in his blue eyes before he snapped his fingers. Bone chilling screams could be heard as Cubone stayed in the hole, tears in its eyes when it hears the crazed laughter of the man that overlapped the burning sounds of the fire before it fell asleep, wanting everything to be a bad dream.

It was night time when it opens its eyes, seeing the stars above the sky. It got up and came out of the hole, glancing at the aftermath of the battle earlier. After a moment of checking around, it then noticed a group of people observing the area wiith worried expressions, helping whatever remaining alive Pokemon in the area.

"Why, hello there, little one." An old man said when he looks at the Ground type, a frown present when he notices the multiple burn scars. Slowly making his way towards the Pokemon to not alarm it, he went to retrieve a Super Potion from his pocket before he holds his hand out to the Pokemon. Cubone looks into the man's eyes, seeing no sign of malicious intent before it reluctantly gets closer to the man, letting him spray the medicine on it and wrapping it around with bandages. "You must have had it bad. Where is your mother?"

Hearing the word, Cubone could only cry, clutching the man's shirt like it's a lifeline. The man looked at the Pokemon with a sorrowful look before he petted it, being mindful of its wounds. "It's not much but I can take care of you. We have a place in the city for lost and inured Pokemon. You can have a lot of friends to play with while you get better. What do you say, would you like to come with me?"

The Pokemon looked around the area, not seeing its mother anywhere. Not seeing any sign of its mother, it nodded as the man got up and walked back to Lavender City along with the group under the starry sky.

'I hope mommy is ok.'

"You ready, sweetie?" Leaf said as she got herself ready, putting on her sneakers as she looks at Red, seeing him dressed in his black t-shirt, this one having a Ultra ball in the middle and his dark blue jeans and sneakers.

He turns to her, giving her a thumbs up as an answer before slinging his bag over his shoulder. The both of them got out of the Pokemon Center before they headed out of the city. When they arrived to Route 9, both of them were surprised to see Misty checking her phone before turning to the two.

"Misty? What are you doing here?" Leaf said the question that is on both her and Red's mind while approaching the orange haired gym leader. She flung a bag on her back, stretching before she answered the question. "I needed some fresh air. Being in a gym cooped up and helping marine life can do so much for a person. A girl need some adventure."

"And a boyfriend..." The brunette chided in, getting a swift hit to the head which earned a silent chuckle from Red. Rubbing her head and glaring at the gym leader, both of them bickering before she just treaded along, Buneary patting the area of pain and their male companion looking at the map and enjoying the scenery.

"Let's get this show in the road!" The brunette said as the trio goes on their way to Rock Tunnel.

Welp. I'm finished. I'm going to be honest and say that this part of the story is kinda of a start to the next arc. Well, the good thing is Red gets a Pokemon box thingie from the Let's go games. So originally this was how the story was supposed to progress if Leaf did not get ahead of Red when they started. I really did not like to write that Team Rocket scene with Marowak. It's just…sad despite this chapter supposed to be an all around happy one. Well, hope you enjoy the chapter and don't hold back on letting me know if I'm messing up at some points. Just want to make sure that I'm doing alright so far. Thanks again, hope everyone of y'all is safe and I will be out.
