Angry Luigi was tired as he and Alem tuber arrive home with Emma and see Mike, Josh, and Oime with the Trillion Triplets.
"Oh, no…" Alem tuber says.
"Since Luke hates you, we have permission to end the cosmic buddies." Troy says.
Clover's half birthday arrived weeks later, in early September, and Luna was setting up with Sam.
Luke was sobbing and wanting his birthday.
"Three more months…" Luke sobbed. "Three more months!"
He wasn't attending at all and he headed off to be alone. He sobbed and threw a fit. Lori, Chalice, and Luan see this.
"I want my birthweek now!" Luke screamed.
"It'll come soon, Lukey…" Chalice says.
"Now!" Luke sobbed, throwing things.
"Sweetheart, you need to calm down now…" Charity says, deciding to take Luke and Chalice to show practice.
Luke was pouting. But he knew he still had to practice, so he left with Charity and Chalice.
Sal was thinking about his birthday. He didn't know what to do for it.
Aria practices with Jackson, and she sees her dad practicing with Chalice.
Clover came to watch the practice and smiled at Aria and Jackson.
With the cups, Mugman was reading a text Luna sent him.
"What does it say, Mugsy?" Cuphead asked.
It says: "Mugman, Clover would like you and Cuphead to perform at her half-birthday party today. She is a really big fan of you two and she would love nothing more than to have you perform for her and her guests. I'll be the warm-up act, per her request."
"So, are we gonna do it?" Cuphead asked.
Mugman nods. Cuphead grinned.
"We better get ready!" Cuphead says.
Mugman nods.
Later, at the party, Luke and Chalice came with Aria, who was holding a present.
Clover smiled and hugged Aria before accepting the gift and opening it. She gasped with excitement.
"Cuppy and Mugsy dolls! Aria, I love these! Thank you!" Clover says.
Aria smiled as the other kids arrived. Sam decides Clover could open gifts first. Clover smiled and opened her gifts. She grinned and hugged all of her guests, thanking them.
Joe was racing as he made it to the party with a gift. Clover smiled and opened it. She then screamed with excitement.
"Ahhhh! No way! It's a Mugsy bike!" Clover says. "I love it! Thank you, Joe!"
"You're welcome." Joe says.
After gifts, it was time for party games. They played musical chairs, Twister, pass the present, Freeze Dance, and an egg-on-a-spoon race using plastic eggs and wooden spoons.
Once the race ended, it was time for the entertainment to begin. Luna and Sam go on stage with their guitars.
Clover smiled at her mothers as they performed. After that, there was a knock at the door and Sam went to answer it.
It was Cuphead and Mugman.
"Come on in, boys!" Sam says. "Oh, Clover! There are two special visitors here to see you!"
Clover sees them and squeals. "Cuppy and Mugsy!" She says, excited.
They smile at Clover. "And how old are you today?" Mugman asked with a smile.
"6 and a half!" Clover says.
"My goodness, what a wonderful age! Are you ready for a show?" Cuphead asked.
She nods eagerly and the cups soon go on stage. They perform a few songs and then do some tricks. Clover was squealing and smiling the entire time.
"Mama Sam, can they stay for cake? Can they? Can they?" Clover asked.
"Of course we'll stay for cake!" Cuphead says, smiling at Clover.
Clover smiles as Joe is heading off.
Luke soon brings out Clover's piñata. Clover smiled at this and asked Mugman to help her hit it.
Mugman helps her as they break the piñata open. Candy falls out as everyone gets their share.
In Greendale, the fight began. The Cosmic buddies dodged as Joe spied.
Troy shot golden beams as Emila used magic portals to send the bad guys away.
"I got a show to run tomorrow." Jack says.
Angry Luigi revved his feet and sped off as he stomped on drones. The Cosmic buddies take out the drones.
With Clover, Sam and Luna brought out her half birthday cake. It had a picture of the cups made with icing. 6 and a half candles were already lit.
Clover smiled as everyone sang to her. Clover soon thinks of a wish. She wished Cuphead and Mugman would win as she blew out the candles.
The cake was soon served and Clover offered the cups some cake. They smile and eat their slices of cake.
Soon, Jackson fell asleep as Mugman smiled and handed him off to Margo, who took him to their car.
Luna smiled, happy that Clover really enjoyed this party. Clover yawns as Luna takes her to her room.
"Thanks, Cuphead and Mugman. You two made her day amazing. How much do I owe you two?" Sam says.
"You don't have to pay us, Sam." Mugman says. "Seeing the smile on Clover's face is enough."
"That's fair. And here. Take the rest of the cake. I already put some pieces aside for me, Lunes, and Clover to have later." Sam says, giving the cups the cake box.
"Thank you." Cuphead says. The cups then walk to Cuphead's car. They drive off.
A few days later, everyone was going to Atlanta for the next show.
The cosmic buddies were being invited to the White House for an interview.
"The White House! The freaking White House!" Alem tuber says as Emma smiles.
"It's nice to be appreciated." Jack says.
Luke caught wind of this and was jealous. He says nothing on the entire trip to Atlanta.
Aria was watching Jack's show.
"I can't believe Aunt Leni went on this show to get me a toy." Aria says.
"My mom says that show sucks." Abigail says.
"No way! Any show that has free toys rules!" Jackson says.
"Toys are good." Aria says.
They soon watch the show.
Luke was hissing at the Cosmic Buddies' presidential interview on TV. He had never gotten that kind of respect or recognition before, and that made him mad and very jealous. Chalice sees him fuming. She holds him.
"It's not fair!" Luke hissed.
Chalice rubbed his back. "We're going to be on TV." She says. "We'll get attention."
"Why is Luke mad?" Luna asked.
Lori explains why. They all look at the interview Luke is watching. Luke hisses at it again and starts throwing things.
They try to comfort him. Luke is fuming as he threatens to execute the cosmic buddies.
"Cool it…" Luna says.
"WHY?!" Luke hissed.
"Okay, you can execute them." Lola says.
"It just isn't fair! I wanted that type of interview!" Luke screamed. "But noooo…it's THEIR time to have it!"
"So why are you heroes?" The president asked.
"Because we just want to help" Savannah says.
"Yeah, and there are so many villains out there. Like Begmax, the Trillion Triplets, Anti-Hybrid, and much more." Alem tuber says
"Can we get some cool action photos?" The president asked.
"Yeah!" Delta says.
"Nope, I hate photos." Angry Luigi says.
"Somewhere Jason will be jealous." Bill says.
They took some action photos as Angry Luigi got paranoid again.
Soon, they came out and see lots of photographers.
"I'm out of here." Angry Luigi says and leaped away as Savannah was kinda overwhelmed. This was a lot and Emma was only 9.
Meanwhile, Luke arrived in Atlanta. The minute he saw the pictures, he hissed angrily.
"I want them dead!" Luke screamed.
"Those cosmic buddies are actually not that bad." Some people say walking by.
Luke just wanted to avoid people right now. He hated that they were being talked about. That they were more popular because of their world-saving. They always got the things he wanted. And they got a presidential interview, which is what he never got. Why? Because they were better than him and he knew it.
Chalice saw Luke getting madder and madder. She gave him her charm dance. Luke sniffed and looked at her.
"It's not fair, Chally! It isn't fair!" Luke cried.
"I know." Chalice says.
"They get the best of EVERYTHING! While I get nothing!" Luke hissed.
Chalice reminded him of his awards. Luke just looked down. He felt numb inside.
"I'll never get that…" Luke sniffed. "Those cosmic buddies are so entitled to everything!"
"What are you going to do?" Chalice asked.
"EXECUTE THEM!" Luke hissed. "AND THIS TIME, THEY WILL NOT FIGHT BACK!"
"Are you sure?" Luna asked. Luke nods.
Aria prepares for the show. She took a bubble bath and practiced her vocals.
Chalice smiled at her. She had a nice voice.
With the cosmic buddies, they knew their time would be up in December. Emma shook.
"We're not going down." Delta says.
"There will be no fighting this time." Skylia says sadly.
Angry Luigi shivered.
Soon, April and Gemma came on stage.
"Welcome one, welcome all, to the Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia! Tonight, this will be the sight of a totally tubular show!" April says.
"You got that right! This is the America's Next Hitmaker 80's Tribute Show! Tonight, this show will also play host to our very first nine-team elimination." Gemma says. "And our top 28 teams will go on to our Disney Night show in Orlando, Florida. So if you want your team of choice to go to that show, you better vote, America!"
Aria got ready with Jackson.
"Coming up first is the duo of Aria and Jackson!" April says.
Fans cheered for them as they came on stage and did their performance of "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham!, which excited the crowd.
Aria smiles as she keeps dancing with Jackson.
They soon finished as the crowd cheered. Aria grinned as she and Jackson left the stage.
"Coming up next is the duo of Carol and Connor Pingrey!" Gemma says.
Fans cheered as they did their performance of "I'm So Excited" by The Pointer Sisters.
Luke watched closely. But his mind wasn't on the show.
Lucy looks at him. Luke walks off as Lucy was concerned for him.
"What's with Luke?" Lucy asked.
Leni explained, then Lori explained.
Beatrix was sick, really sick. Lisa got an idea.
Beau looked panicked. He was next on stage and was scared he would have to forfeit. He and Beatrix had practiced their "Physical" routine for weeks, and now he would be partnerless. He began to panic.
"I don't really like this, but I'll be your partner until your sister is healthy again." Lisa says.
"You don't even know our routine…" Beau says.
With Luke, Luke was watching the Cosmic Buddies' presidential interview again while screaming and hissing.
Chalice tries to calm him down.
"This isn't fair! It's not fair!" Luke screamed.
Soon, it was Luke and Chalice's turn as they headed on stage.
They perform "Venus" by Bananarama. The crowd was loving every minute of this.
They cheered for them. Soon, they finished to wild cheering and the platinum button being pressed by April.
Luke smiled and so did Chalice. They soon headed backstage.
Aria was playing video games when she got an idea.
"Aunt Leni, I need a costume with an epic mask, pronto!" Aria says.
"Why?" Leni asked.
"For charity." Aria lied and like usual, Leni bought it.
"Oh, make different types." Aria says.
"Coming up, Beau Yates and replacing his sister, Lisa Huntington!" April says.
Thankfully, Lisa was smart enough to memorize the entire routine and if she was to forget, she'd use her telepathy to read Beau's mind. They soon began the routine to "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John in the gym-like setup on stage.
Fans screamed for them. Lisa does a split.
The Cosmic buddies noticed new heroes saving the president. They looked small, but were attempting to fight off goons.
The Cosmic buddies head to the White House via magic and helped the hostages to safety as they watch the fight and decided to give these heroes a chance. One of the new heroes was punching and kicking.
One of them got kicked down and was about to get stabbed, but another one went and saved them.
"This looks ugly. Let's help them." Savannah says as Alem tuber blocked her
"Nope, this is their fight." Alem tuber says.
Soon, the fight was over.
"Thank you, kid heroes or whatever you are…how would you like to have dinner and a movie?" He asked one of them gave him a thumbs up as they leaped away.
Luke sees this.
"Who are those?" Aria asked, having been eating dinner.
"Some jerks and now they're trending online." Luke says.
"Cuppy and Mugsy!" Fans cheered
"Coming up next is one of your favorites, Cuphead and Mugman!" April says..
The cups perform "You Give Love A Bad Name" by Bon Jovi.
Fans cheered and danced as they sang.
Meanwhile, the new heroes were bouncing off rooftops as the Cosmic buddies landed.
"Who are you?" Bill asked.
They looked at each other and whispered. One used a smoke bomb as they were gone.
"Shoot!" Emma says.
"Those are kids. They're even smaller than Emma. They're way over their heads." Emila says.
"So what do we do?" Angry Luigi asked
"Tell them to get better, then be heroes. I mean, we can teach them." Alex says.
The kids hid behind an alleyway taking off their masks as it was Aria, Jackson, Clover, Edwin, Lilith, Joe, and Lucas.
"I can't believe we're number one on the news!" Aria says.
"Does your dad know?" Lucas asked.
"I'm never telling him. Mom said I can't be a hero until I'm 13, but I can't wait, especially not after that fight!" Aria says.
"Yeah, you nearly died. Edwin had to save you 7 times." Jackson says.
"Who cares? We won! And remember, we can't tell anyone." Aria says.
Clover fell down as she was wounded. One guy hit her hard.
"Clover!" Aria says "Edwin, please tell me you have a healing spell."
"I do." Edwin says and uses a spell to heal her.
"That was fun, we should do this again." Joe says.
"I declare this team name to be Team Charm!" Aria says.
"I'm not really part of your team." Lucas says and flew off
"We have to celebrate!" Aria says.
Luke found out about this one way or the other. He just left before the eliminations got announced. He already knew he wasn't eliminated.
"Luke, what's wrong?" Chalice asked.
Luke showed Chalice the news.
"Masked heroes?" Chalice asked "I gotta say, love their costumes. One of them even uses dance-Aria! She's in so much trouble! I told her she shouldn't do this!" Chalice says watching the footage of Aria dodging, using dance moves.
The kids arrived at a restaurant and ordered their favorites "Tonight we feast, then we watch a marathon of Dirk Dangerous, then we have a pillow fight, then…I don't know…" Aria says.
"So, what would happen if our parents found out?" Jackson asked.
Mugman was in shock when he came in with Margo and Cuphead.
"Oh, hey, dad, what's going on?" Jackson asked, trying to keep the lie going.
"CAR. NOW!" Margo screamed. Jackson sulked and walked to the car.
"Edwin…. I am so proud of you!" Cuphead said.
"I only did it to make sure they were alive. Sigh." Edwin says.
Aria snuck to the restaurant's back door.
"Shoot, how'd they find out?" Aria thought. Luke and Chalice found her, arms crossed.
"You will get in the limo RIGHT NOW and explain yourself!" Luke and Chalice scream.
Aria was frozen in fear. Chalice took her by the arm and put her in the limo. Aria was looking down in shame.
At home, Luke was very disappointed in his daughter for doing this behind his back.
"I'm sorry." Aria says.
"You are so lucky to not be eliminated this time around." Chalice says.
"You're grounded for the next month." Luke says.
"UGH! FIRST, YOU DON'T SUPPORT MY DREAMS OF BEING ON STAGE! NOW YOU DON'T APPROVE OF ME BEING A HERO NO FAIR! THAT ALEM TUBER GOT TO BE A HERO WHEN HE WAS THREE!" Aria screamed.
"Don't you scream at us, young lady!" Chalice says. "You're not doing this hero stuff again until you're 13! Understand?!"
"Fine." Aria scoffed.
Clover came home as Sam scooped her up in a hug.
"Clover, honey, are you okay?" Sam asked.
"Are you hurt?" Luna asked.
Clover hesitated and showed the scar on her arm from the fight.
"What a brave girl!" Sam says. Luna patches Clover up.
"Are you mad?" Clover whimpered.
Sam and Luna shook their heads.
"Who's the ringleader?" Sam asked.
"...Aria." Clover whimpered.
"She nearly got you killed." Luna says.
Jackson was punished for the next month as well. He was lucky that Mugman was still letting him do the show. But he lost a lot of privileges, including his TV privileges. And he would be doing chores on the weekends for the next month as well.
"I hope this was worth it." Margo says sternly.
"We are celebrating tonight!" Cuphead says.
"Please ground me." Edwin says, knowing a celebration was worse than being grounded.
"Nope, your mom requested it." Cuphead says and takes Edwin out to eat with him and Lucy.
